Brackley House - Farnworth Dental Practice

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the dentist for a long time. Each time I have been greeted by friendly, professional reception staff. My treatment has always been first class. My dentist Emma always makes me feel at ease. She explains the plan, treatments and best way to achieve this. The practice is a modern, clean, and welcoming place. I would highly recommend it.

Positive experience: Poor communication from their side, told 2 different things on 2 different days. Didn't get half of what I went in for done.

Fantastic experience: Took my husband for an emergency appointment through the emergency dental service. Reception staff were very polite and friendly. The dentist we saw was Andrew and his dental nurse was Christina, both were amazing and explained everything very well and proceeded to remove my husbands wisdom tooth which had been causing him severe pain. Explained the procedure and aftercare details thoroughly. Thankyou so much to them both.

I also had Holly the dental hygienist who was absolutely very thorough and I felt like i had never had my teeth cleaned so well before.

Negative experience: Went with really bad pain after waiting 2 days for emergency appointment thay told Me I needed a root canal but thay done do them so thay filled the hole and now in worse pain I don't see why I played for appointment and didn't get anything I needed out off it but more pain

Fantastic experience: The whole process from the consultation, the planning and the day of the treatment has been plain sailing. Dr Zuhair is extremely knowledgeable and professional and I felt in safe hands throughout. I work as a treatment coordinator in a dental practice so I had very high expectations and they all have been surpassed. I asked for a natural result and was really just looking for how my teeth were before all of the chips and worn edges and I feel like he understood exactly what I wanted. I was very particular with the description of the outcome I was hoping to get and they have turned out better than I imagined. Dr Zuhair is a true artist and his passion for his work shows in his results and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a smile makeover. The 5 hours in the dental chair went by so fast and I may have even fell asleep a couple of times, testament to how comfortable, pain free and relaxed I was during the whole experience.

Fantastic experience: Went for an emergency appt out of hours. Was referred straight away to the hospital and kept in for a few days. Had a lot of work required as I haven’t been to a dentist in years. Decided to join this one. First visit was to make a plan. Second visit 3 teeth out which included two that were just roots. I was terrified but was really put at ease, teeth out no problem. After care advice given. Back again over a number of visits over the next few months. Thanks so much reception staff, Sharon and nurse ( sorry can’t remember her name) All has been great so far. So glad I joined x can’t wait to be able to smile with confidence again

Fantastic experience: Staff are always lovely here, I see Nada who is fabulous and remembers you even though you only go twice a year which is always nice. I had to have an emergency appointment today with Emma who I haven't seen before and she was lovely. unfortunately for me I had to have a previous filled tooth extracted. I was terrified but Emma put my mind at ease, talked me through each step. I cried on her at the end ha ha! From relief more than anything. I didn't feel a thing other than the second needle which was uncomfortable but not the worst pain I'd felt. I couldn't feel the tooth being taken out, could hear it which was vile but thank you Emma. I am looking forward to sleeping tonight after a weekend of hell. Can't recommend these enough thank you x

Negative experience: As a patient for last 60 year with the practice I feel my needs where not addressed and met, the appointment was difficult as I am house bound and suffer from an arrangement of complex needs and the Dentist was not as understanding as i would have liked in her request for me to lie flat which is difficult and uncomfortable for me to do .

Negative experience: I am not satisfied with the checkup process. Just 2 minutes checkup no X ray done. Just physical examination and prescribed medicine. Not worth price.

Reception team was alright got seen on time but dentist and nurse made me feel awful even more awful than I already feel( went for severe tooth pain emergency appointment) never ever ever going back. I was right in my fear of the dentist. I am autistic and they were not empathetic or accommodating.

Negative experience: I went to this dentist in pain with a tooth and got sent away with a prescription and no treatment done to cure the toothache. Also got told that they do not do fillings there onsite but to find another dentist. Looks like they didn't care to solve somebodys toothache out. Dentist who don't do fillings. Ridiculous

Negative experience: Since moving to this location from Highfield Road this practice has gone down hill. Certainly if you’re an NHS patient like myself you get the bare minimum. In recent years the dentist would always clean your teeth, now it seems you have to request it.

Fantastic experience: I was forced to visit the practice after many years without any dental treatment. Apart from my immediate need, I was wary about additional treatment. I need not have worried. They addressed my concerns in a friendly and calm atmosphere. I now have a course of treatment mapped out over the next few weeks. The staff are wonderful from the reception desk to dentist George and his assistants.

Fantastic experience: Phoned for a emergency appointment and got one the next day, I have nothing but praise for all the staff I spoke to especially the female dentition who looked after me She was exceptional, from first meeting her I felt very relaxed, she described everything that she was going to do but unfortunately the tooth had to come out again she told me every step of what she was doing I’m not a lover of the dentist from past experiences but this young lady certainly knots her job

Fantastic experience: Dentist Sharon Hurwitz and hygienist Holly Hadfield are both first rate in their professionalism and attention given, especially now that my teeth have become more sensitive in recent years. I have every confidence in the advice that both have given me in continuing to look after my oral health. Reception staff are also very accommodating, in trying hard to ensure that appointments with both are available at a convenient time.

Fantastic experience: I have terrible dental phobia and needed a tooth extraction as got infection underneath. I did not feel comfortable with my nhs dentist so decided to go private under Uzair. Firstly the waiting room makes you feel at ease it is comfy and has subtle lighting which has a calming effect. Uzair has the patience of a saint he must of thought i was a mad woman. I was clearly anxious but after a couple of visits for prep work by the time my extraction date arrived i felt calmer than i have ever felt before still anxious but had faith and trust in Uzair he explained what he was going to do and explained as he went along making me feel more in control and i didnt even know that the tooth was out. I would highly recommend Uzair to anybody who is nervous of the dentist

Fantastic experience: My appointment was an emergency appointment and I was pleasantly surprised. It was lovely and clean and welcoming. I was seen on time and welcomed in by the lovely George (dentist) and Jen (Dental Nurse). It turned out that I needed one of my Wisdom teeth out. I was a little apprehensive but both George and Jen were very reassuring. George regularly checked to see if I was in any pain, throughout the procedure and explained everything that was happening. A stitch was needed and Jen then discussed post procedure care and I was given everything that was needed. Thanks you so much to both of you, for your care. I completely recommend this dentist to anyone.

Negative experience: I waited nearly 3 months for an appointment to see the hygienist as recommended by a dentist at the practice. Shortly after arriving for my appointment (1330hrs Tuesday last), and waiting to be attended to, the hygienist appeared and informed me that the dentist had not left any instructions as to what treatment was required, and he was on holiday so could not be contacted. I was very annoyed that I had not been informed earlier, since the weather was lovely, and I had the choice of going to Southport for the day or playing golf, but had to cancel both because of the dental appointment.

Negative experience: At my age (45), I witnessed a tooth filling within a minute. It was the shortest dental treatment of my life. I did not understand whether she filled the construction pit or my tooth. I told her that the filling was high, but she said that it would improve when pressed over time. 3 days have passed, but the height remains the same. Also, the pain was less before. I did not understand whether my tooth was treated or antitreatment.
