Negative experience: I am writing to express my frustration regarding repeated delays with scheduled appointments. Today, I was kept waiting for 50minutes, and on a previous visit, the delay was over 30 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Smile Clinic truly makes you smile, I was blessed to meet a team of wonderful professionals ,from the receptionist to the gifted hands that examined me on that x-ray chair ,people with love and passion for what they do ,do things differently, not some AI or programmed human robots ,but a wonderful team filled with spirit, blood and soul . Thanks, amidst spent frames , amidst the enticing and beckoning heat of the sunshine outside luring many hearts to go chill in parks, you dutifully sat to still attend to my late noon appointment, helping me to dispel the heavy burden of doubt and despair drowning me as l walked through the door, but l left with a clinical SMILE from the SMILE CLINIC on my face. Fantastic experience: Came in on very short notice for an excruciating tooth ache. Reception got me booked in on the day to get seen by a dentist. The dental staff were very friendly and reassuring throughout the procedure I had on my tooth and talked me through the process of what was happening. Tooth ache is now gone and I am booked in for a follow up appointment. I would highly recommend this dentist clinic to everybody.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist I am absolutely afraid of the dentist, I actually feel sorry for the dentist to have to deal with me, but this dentist is great, I moved away from Bolton I now live over 100 miles away from Bolton but I have still kept the same dentist, for me it's worth the 200 miles round trip. Both me and wife travel to Bolton.

Fantastic experience: The Smile Clinic on Marsden Road is absolutely first class. We have been with them since they first opened in 2005 on Blackburn Road and they are absolutely fabulous. The care and attention they give is second to none. They genuinely care about each invidiual patient and give them the time needed for first class service. Such lovely people. Both our children have also been through the practice. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Positive experience: Good dentists (Dr Seedat has been looking after our teeth for nearly a decade now, no unnecessary treatments, always patiently explains options), but the practice can be *very* busy. We made the mistake of booking our annual checkup during school holidays, which left us waiting 40 minutes! The place is clean, now that the constructions outside are done. Reception staff is usually friendly, but they are clearly understaffed/overworked, and can seem curt. Pay in advance when you arrive, so you can run out when you're done and get back to your car before your ticket expires!

Negative experience: Unfriendly and non professional practice Doctor threat me they will de registar cause of my gums and teets are not in good condition It looks dentist don't want to do work like cleaning They said you have to do at home yourself Yes I do But they threat me to de registar on next appointment Absolutely unacceptable behaviour

Fantastic experience: so glad I signed with this dentist after moving back up north. the staff, from the receptionist to the dentist are all very pleasant and professional, and the dentist who did my checkup today noticed my discomfort and went out of her way to explain what she was going to do and how (I'm a complete lightweight when it comes to going to the dentist.) really lovely people and I can happily recommend them.

Best dentist I've had and I'm 61 so I've had a few. Been back recently for a couple of fillings and a fitting of top dentures, and Dr Chariwala worked through her dinner to make sure everything was fitting as it should, as usual she went beyond for her patient and was brilliant as usual,!!! I actually don't mind going to the dentist now. Score 12 out of 10

Fantastic experience: Had my first appointment today and from reception to the dentist everyone was extremely welcoming. With it being ramadan it was nice of the dentist Dr Firoza Chariwala to ask if I was fasting so she could treat me accordingly in-line with my fasting. I am due back for my treat in 10 days so will update my review accordingly.

Negative experience: Was okay, supposed to be having my teeth cleaned. Proceeded to clean them for all of 30 seconds leaving a lot of plaque and making the back of my teeth unbelievably rough and uncomfortable which then caused my tongue to get sore from all the rubbing against the sharp plaque.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time using Smile Clinic and I must say that they were great. I've had some bad experiences with dentists (especially trying to upsell) but these were great, they did the full treatment of what you get as an NHS patient without any problems and they didn't once try to upsell me to the hygienist etc. They were also so friendly and relaxed I would definitely recommend them for anyone needing an NHS dentist. They also ensured they sent out reminders for the appointment with a calendar invite included to make it easier to add to your diary - this was great. One thing to be aware of though (almost caught me out) they only take cash or debit card - no credit cards.

Negative experience: While the dentist may be competent, the interpersonal skills within the dental practice leave much to be desired. I have experienced last-minute appointment cancellations, including one instance where they claimed to have called me multiple times but provided no evidence of the calls, and I had no missed calls or voicemails—this speaks volumes. They also cancelled a private appointment I had scheduled late last year for my wedding, which was quite upsetting. Last year, I had to reschedule an appointment due to childcare issues, and I provided the required notice. Just two days before an appointment I made six months ago, I received a reminder (after six months of booking). After emailing and calling to cancel, the receptionist assured me it was no problem. She even suggested rescheduling, but as I had just started a new job, I needed to confirm with my employer before committing. She seemed to understand, yet I later received an email stating they could no longer offer me appointments because I had cancelled two (and not consecutively, I should add). I replied to clarify my situation and reminded them that my last appointment was cancelled by them. Their responses have been unaccommodating and devoid of empathy. If you’re seeking a standard dentist with inflexible processes and a lack of personal touch, accompanied by patronising reprimands, this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: Dr Firoza Chaiiwala is like an angel. An amazing person and lovely doctor. She is not only polite and kind but also a very good dentist. Wish could give her more than 5 stars.

Positive experience: The service when you see the dentist is good however Smile clinic is constantly changing it's policy's making communication complicated. It threatening patients of their place within the practice. They can cancel your appt with no consideration but if a patient does it threats are made to discharge from the surgery.
