Fantastic experience: In 5 decades I've had loads of dental work done. These days many newer dentists (I've had them) don't even seem to know what's possible as a dentist and what's not - they leave you with no "choices". I'm no dentist but I'm a former ambulance medic and trust me Gregg Jones is in a class of his own - keep up the good work Greg! Can't praise this dentist enough

Fantastic experience: Hygienist Bethany Martin was friendly and thoroughly professional. She examined my teeth and gums carefully, explained clearly what she intended to do, stopped frequently to check if I was OK and carried out the cleaning procedure expertly and painlessly. Her assistant aided her well. I was completely satisfied with the service.

Fantastic experience: I just went for a hygienist appointment, the hygienist team here have given me great advice over the last few years and my teeth and gums are much cleaner and healthier as a result.

Fantastic experience: I found my dentist to be very nice and pleasant which put me at ease straight away. He was very informative and explained what he was doing in a way that was easy to understand. I underwent root canal treatment which wasn't the most pleasant moment of my day but, I left the surgery feeling in a positive mood. Overall I have no complaints, thank you.

Fantastic experience: The young dental hygienist Bethany who treated me today was exceptional. She is a credit to Taptonvillle Dental Practice and to her profession. She was very thorough in her explanation of what was going to happen, the reasons why, and also the result of what she found after the assessment. I have another appointment in the very near future and i have every confidence in her ability to once again treat me successfully. Keep up the great work and you have instilled my confidence in professional young people.

Fantastic experience: Great service after a little effort got an appointment to look at my broken tooth in a few days. It was very quick getting it filled and hopefully it will last and stay put! If not it may need some drilling to effect a sturdier repair! Had a problem trying to floss next day as some filler had got into the gap with the next tooth . Again got an appointment next day to hopefully fix this Same tooth about 8 months later a piece has broken off. Great service got appointment at 12.15 made at 08:45 to investigate. Saw Curtis . Excellent service. Very very helpful about options and future implications. I now know what is possible for this critical tooth as not many molars left. Curtis gave me the complete picture and this was very reassuring . Considering he was “filling”in for my regular dentist who couldn’t fit me in he had taken the trouble to research my notes and was aware of the problems I have had. I wish some of the cardio rehab team had done the same ! Excellent wholeheartedly recommend the practice and the dentist I saw on 1/7/25 especially.

Fantastic experience: The phone system is good as they tell you how many people are in the queue. The receptionist was extremely polite and helpful when I rang and asked for an emergency appointment and I went in same day, waited less than 5 minutes, and was treated straight away by Ms Holden. All very good service.

Fantastic experience: Took my dad who is 86 for some treatment and getting him in whilst in wheelchair was easy thru a door round the side. Once in there we were treated with care and assurance of safety while dad had his treatment. The staff were very helpful and A1 with everything they had to do. Made my dad comfortable and at ease with him not liking going to dentist. Star rating of 5 all round for everyone

Fantastic experience: Had a big molar with bent roots extracted today by Issam Bakri - what a lovely doctor / dentist. I’d never seen him before but he was brilliant, explained everything before and during the procedure and the whole thing was painless! I had been dreading the appointment but I’m really pleased with how it went. As always the staff and dental assistant at the practice were professional and friendly.

Negative experience: Didn’t have the best experience with the dentist I saw, very passive aggressive and micro-aggressive, saw me as an emergency appointment, asking me what my antidepressant medication was for.. quite an odd thing to be asking, would a dentist not have some primitive knowledge of antidepressants? Guess not... Further to this, she implied that my dental implant had failed due to expiration (stating they only last ten years) just an all round unpleasant experience made to feel lesser then and looked down on. All I needed was a referral but they insisted on an xray even though I had done one earlier that week at their sister branch the emergency Broomhill dentist.

Price of the work was incredibly affordable, was prepared for the worst but extremely pleased with the final bill considering the work and time needed.

Positive experience: Taptonville House have been my NHS dentists for 12 years or more. I'm fortunate to have good teeth so haven't usually needed much work. Today's visit was once again to Dr Amar Basu who with his colleagues were as welcoming, kind and efficient as ever. Sadly I understand he is stopping NHS work shortly. NHS dentistry seems to be dying nationwide

Negative experience: Always a dreadful experience here as an NHS patient. Appointments last approximately 3 minutes (not an exaggeration) and you get charged £26. The dentists couldn’t care less about the service they provide. Would definitely go private if I could afford it.
