Fantastic experience: I posted some while back that I had just had my first visit to Bespoke Dental. I have since been back a few times for some significant work that requires dentistry of the highest standard. Every visit has been a good one, the dental care supreme, and the facilities now are outstanding to match the skill and professionalism of everyone in the practice. I have had dentists in many places at home and abroad over the years, including in Harley Street, and I can happily recommend Bespoke Dental as being the best of the best.

Fantastic experience: Doug is hands down one of the best dentists I’ve been to. He’s incredibly down to earth, consultative and takes the time to explain everything clearly. His recommendations were tailored to my needs, which made the whole experience feel less like a procedure and more like a conversation. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: HORRIFIC!!! DO NOT GO HERE AT ANY COST!! They tried to scam me out of £3000 to get 2 root canals that turns out I never needed in the first place after getting a second opinion and would you look at that after a few months they completely renovated their building HOW CONVENIENT!!! This business needs to prepare for a lawsuit. Now.

Negative experience: Poor experience, I had a severe too infection, I tried to the dentist the black cavity on my gum and he dismissed it as a shadow, he didn’t even gave a working x-ray machine to use and referred me to the hospital to get that done, and then tried to charge me £75 if I wanted to get the x-ray done privately with him for another day. I don’t recommend this place at all. It looks nice place but the service is poor

Fantastic experience: Raf is a smiling, supportive dentist who provides excellent advice alongside Alex is a really professional hygienist who together with the rest of the team really look after your teeth. Raf checks things out dentally , provides reliable professional dental advice and follows through where required. It's all done with a cheery smile, personal care within a calm, clean atmosphere with friendly administrative staff. Beautiful new rooms and equipment too. Can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Fawad is unbelievable gentle and talented. I had root canal treatment, I was dreading it. I didn’t experience any pain, nor did I need to take any painkillers after the local anaesthetic had worn off. He knows exactly what he’s doing and never looses sight of his patients needs. Highly recommend. From the receptionist, dental nurses, everyone was lovely. Great experience, even if I was at the dentist !

He put me at ease and has now put the smile back on my face Every one that works there are so professional,happy and friendly. HO! (they now have a TV on the ceiling. Fantastic experience: Nervous daughter for first filling; Raff and his nurse were amazing - so calm, put her favourite show on the screen and walked her through every step. She had been so scared but there were no tears and the filling was all done within 20 minutes. If you have an anxious child this was so reassuring and such a positive experience for her in the circumstances. Thank you so so much!

Was made to feel safe and informed every step of the way. Plus, the reception and newly refurbished treatment rooms are incredible! Cannot recommend enough! :)

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Gentle Dental for several years, I can honestly say it’s the best dental practice I have used in my 73 years. Lovely staff, very friendly, explain any procedures you may need, and as the name says, they are very ‘gentle’ during treatment. UPDATE Feb 2023 Now aged 75 and I can say, it’s somehow even better, love the staff, they are so accommodating and very easy to talk to. I have had a different dentist for the last year, she is brilliant, she has all the latest technology, and is a very caring person, I actually look forward to seeing her. The practise is very lucky to have such a caring accomplished dentist, and so am I. Now 76 and I can honestly say, it’s even better, all the dentists and nurses are friendly and helpful, a great service. And a new car park too

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend bespoke dental, I came to the practice with an emergency problem, was seen the first day, the service was fast , reliable and to a high standard, within the first time of me attending we had a plan set out & they were very detailed with what they could offer and what they have offered. I wasnt keen on dentists previous hence the fact these issues are now occurring , but I was made to feel so comfortable , welcome & looked after I have actually stuck on track and followed through.

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience with Brenda Macmillan. I visited through an NHS emergency appointment, hoping to receive proper care, but was met with an unprofessional and dismissive attitude from the moment I stepped in. Without even listening to my concerns or examining me, the doctor immediately mentioned that she had only 30 minutes for my case and wasn’t sure if she could do anything to help. This was my first-ever dentist appointment in the UK, yet she had no interest in understanding my history or providing meaningful treatment. Instead, she rushed through the entire process, did a quick X-ray, and referred me to a hospital for another scan without explaining anything in detail. What made the experience even worse was an inappropriate comment she made, stating that she has been receiving a lot of “Asians” lately and implying a negative generalization. This statement was both shocking and unprofessional. After I left the room, I also heard loud giggling, which further added to the discomfort of the entire experience. This is not the level of care one expects from a medical professional, especially in an emergency situation. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of their background, and given proper attention to their concerns. I strongly urge others to reconsider before visiting this practice.

My follow-up was just as smooth. Dr.Evelina Shehaj made my cleaning super easy, clearing away buildup effortlessly that my previous doctors missed. Both were fantastic—highly recommend!

Negative experience: I recently visited Bespoke Dental (formerly Gentle Dental) and had a very disappointing experience. During my appointment, the dentist advised me that I needed to be referred to a hospital, stating, "I can't do anything for you here." However, she did not mention any additional charges for this referral. A few hours later, I received a call from Bespoke Dental asking me to pay £48 for the referral to the NHS. I was shocked and confused—why would I be charged for a referral I didn’t explicitly request? The dentist simply advised me to go to the hospital and never informed me about any fees. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. Charging patients for NHS referrals without prior notice feels unethical and misleading. I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled and feel taken advantage of. I will not be returning to this practice and would caution others to clarify all potential costs upfront.

Fantastic experience: I came to see Dr Natalie as a nervous patient who doesn’t attend regularly. From entering the building I was met with a lovely reception team who made me feel very welcome. Fantastic experience: :I never thought I’d be writing a glowing review for a dentist, but here we are. After months of struggling with a broken tooth (and genuinely toying with the idea of trying to pull it out myself—because I’m sure I’ve seen Rambo do that), coupled with avoiding dentists like the plague due to a mix of irrational fears, rugby-related dental traumas, and surviving army dentists (who are often more dangerous and brutal than the Taliban), I finally called NHS111 in desperation. They sent me to Bespoke Dental Care in Reading, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the moment I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised—not a scream, drill, or set of pliers in sight. The reception team was friendly and helpful, and they even let me park in a staff bay due to my injury. The atmosphere was calm and professional, and despite waiting for it, I didn’t hear a single high pitch drill noise or scream to be heard The clinician assigned to me was Dr. Brenda MacMillan, who was exceptional. Her calm, ultra-professional manner immediately put me at ease Despite my adrenaline release ( Something about the angle of being in a dentist chair reminds me of the process of being water boarded don’t ask me how I know about that ) and she managed to Both calm me down and fix all my issues painlessly in just three visits. I genuinely expected to leave with claret everywhere and gauze padding in my gums to stop the bleeding lol (as per my usual expectations of dental visits), but no padding, no bleeding—actually, no pain whatsoever. I walked out wondering why I’d waited so long to get things sorted, and bizarrely even contemplating registering as a patient. Perhaps prevention is better than cure, and maybe the experts were actually right. Thank you, Dr. Brenda MacMillan, and the team at Bespoke Dental Care. Wishing you all a great Christmas!

Negative experience: My first experience was great with an easy removal of my wisdom tooth however this was short lived I presume their true colours are showing through. In the last 6-9 months 3 consecutive appointments have been cancelled with excuse after excuse and not rescheduled anytime in the near future. If you have anxiety avoid Maya as I've never came across a profession with no reassurance, confidence or motivation to extract an infected tooth due to the serious nature of my tooth Bespoke Dental have no interest to address my condition other than to offer me someone they know who can remove my tooth for £600. My conclusion is NHS patients aren't welcomed here, you're not a priority! Other than cast aside. In all the year's from childhood to present day I seriously have never came across an individual in a certain profession who asked for my advice??? Omg I can't believe what happened, unbelievable! On recieving a phone a call today from the receptionist to cancel my appointment yet again apparently I'm the one who is at fault who didn't want a deep root canal to save my tooth??? Just avoid Maya and this practice all together. It saddens me to write this but it's how I've been treated as a new NHS patient.

And the inspection was carried quickly and safely so that my wife now feels capable of continuing her treatment here rather than her previous dentistry practice. Positive experience: Very friendly and professional . Going to the dentist is never fun but Bespoke dental make it as stress free as it can be . The only minor niggle I have is being asked every time I go if I would like to consider cosmetic treatments via an automated request to fill out other forms that are legitimate- eg health and fitness , other than that they are great !

He checked my teeth really thoroughly and we decided to opt for 6 months of Invisalign first with a whitening treatment to follow. Ever since I’ve been with bespoke dental they’ve been amazing in services and with the receptionist communication. Today my routine teeth clean was with Dr Miya and her assistant who were both very kind, calming and helpful. Dr Miya answered all my questions and was kind and reassuring throughout my treatment. I was referred to Bespoke as an emergency patient after ringing 111, suffering with chronic toothache (just coming up to the weekend) Everyone was so incredibly helpful & friendly - and so sympathetic (I was in absolute agony) The extraction was over in seconds, totally painless, accompanied by words of support & warmth (and my personal choice of music). Although I felt so ill at the time, the high level of customer care was not lost on me. Thank you all so much.

I myself am a nervous patient and she always puts me at ease. She is great with the children. As you can imagine coming in with four children can be tricky but it always goes smoothly and that’s down to her professionalism care.
