Negative experience: Horrific. Im due a hygienist appointment and scale and polish which was clinically necessary by the dentinsts own admission and have free dental due to my situation but was not offered it but was instead offered private. It would be okay if they gave transparent and clear i formation fir which the receptionist and admins did not give. For eg whether they are nhs but mixed private but a scale and polish is normal dental procedure under dental care for any nhs contract. The receptionists clearly do not know what they are doing and do not speak good english only basic. They have to be investigated for breach of contract with the nhs and should be taken up by the commissioner.

In 3 short visits Carol removed years of built up plaque and stains and restored my faith in British dentistry. She is gentle, patient and highly professional. Negative experience: You book appointment and 3x double check if they can take you on NHS, then you go there and they ask you to pay £200 where NHS band is £75. Then they have audacity to tell you than if you want NHS you have to wait another week with emergency. Do not bother! Opportunistic dentist zero morals or work ethic

Fantastic experience: I had the most incredible hygienist service from Catherine Fernandez last week! (Thank you Catherine!) We chatted and she put me at ease. She did the consultation, looked over my teeth, and during the appointment I was so surprised that it was utterly painless experience! I had some staining from coffee drinking and she restored my teeth to beautifully pearly white! I didn’t even think it would’ve been possible. Normally every hygienist trip I had at my old dentist was painful and never gave me good results. After my appointment with Catherine, I walked out, looked in the mirror and was genuinely stunned! I have been recommending her to every person I talk to in south London as I’m getting so many nice compliments on my teeth. It was my first time at Mint Dental having been at my previous dentist for over 20 years, and the difference in service was absolutely staggering. It’s always nerve wracking trying somewhere new, with somewhere as precious as your teeth. Highly recommend if you’re on the hunt for a new Dentist, Hygienist - would strongly suggest going to Mint Dental - they’re worth every penny!

Negative experience: I made an appointment for a full check-up as I do usually do but time I didn't like my experience. This time I felt like he was only focused on my teeth, that brought “money to his pocket” that’s how it made me feel. I asked him to check my other teeth but he didn't do it just said yeah they’re fine but he didn’t even fully check them only the obvious ones and I didn't like that because at the end of the day I’m paying for the Service.

Fantastic experience: I desperately needed to see a hygienist as I had been badly neglecting my teeth. The online booking process is simple and straight forward and I didn’t have to wait long for an available appointment. I arrived at my appointment and was met with a lovely efficient receptionist and was seen shortly after. My hygienist was very professional and informative of what the procedure will be like and to let her know if I feel uncomfortable at any point. The appointment went smoothly, I felt great after and booked my next follow appointment straight after. Would highly recommend.

One of the best features of the dental clinic is that you can communicate with them in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Negative experience: Awful they treat NHS patients as cash cows I was told that if I don’t want the metal toxic filling that was never done properly and fell out twice I would be charged £800 British pounds for a clear colour natural looking filling this is diabolical. This practice is based in a diverse community not and rich upper class community

Negative experience: Very disappointing service, I made an appointment the day before and arrived 10 minutes early, checked in with the receptionist and was told to take a seat, I waited 40 minutes without any acknowledgement from either receptionist whilst other paitents who arrived after me were being seen to when I asked if my appointment was going to be soon, the receptionist asked if I'd checked in of which I had and was then told that their software was experiencing problems and I hadn't been checked in and now there was no one available to see me!? Complete waste of my time and as a self employed worker unfortunately I don't get paid for my lost time, I've been going to mint for years but I won't be going back again.

Negative experience: Opportunistic and unethical dentist. I came as an NHS patient and left with a printed 'treatment plan' of private & expensive treatments, including teeth extractions at £350 each - which, given that I have literally no pain or other symptoms, seems bizarre. The dentist somehow forgot to even offer/discuss the NHS option, or mention that the suggested treatments were private. And then the receptionist tried to press me to sign my signature below their estimated (extortionate) fee!! People will sign these things and then think they are bound to go ahead with private treatments!! I will go elsewhere to have any necessary treatment with the NHS and hopefully with an honest and ethical practitioner. Update: I’ve now been to another local dentist and only need one small filling. The other several fillings and two extractions are apparently not needed at all. Saved me more than £1000 and unnecessary surgery.

Negative experience: Do not go to this dentist. I went to Mint due to the fact they were taking on new NHS patients, however, I walked out with a £950 quote after being advised I would need four fillings (which they suggested that I have done privately for better quality). After feeling suspicious, I went to another dentist for a second opinion, who confirmed I do not need any fillings. Avoid!

Negative experience: I went to Mint Dental Centre for a check up. I left with an estimate of £1,200 for my follow up appt/private treatment. There was a slight mention of the NHS which was downplayed as being no good which meant private treatment was the best / only option. Despite the NHS being mentioned on the Mint Dental Centre website this dental practice is not for NHS patients if you want good dental treatment you will need to opt into their private treatment if you want NHS treatment find another dentist. Mint Dental Centre should remove NHS treatment from it's website and focus on private clients so not to waste anyone's time.

Negative experience: I think you need to be a bit careful with this practice. I felt like I was being heavily steered towards a private procedure. I decided to get a second opinion somewhere else and I was able to get my treatment available on the NHS and therefore at a much cheaper rate. I won't be going back here.

Negative experience: The worse practice I have ever experienced as an adult. Avoid avoid avoid!!! They had decent dentists maybe 5 years back, all have whom since left which has resulted in a horible standard of dentistry and an absolute horrific standard of customer service especially at reception. I wouldn't recommend at all.

Fantastic experience: My visit was very rewarding. The dental practitioner was very professional in her role. She was warm and welcoming, patient, caring, understanding and listened to what I had to say. She made me feel at eased and explained everything clearly in a way that I was able to understand. The receptionist are very welcoming and the dental practice is very clean with a lot of information shared about the different services on offer and the tools you can purchase for your dental hygiene. I have been to several dental practices over the last five to seven years and this one, I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice smile and dealt with professionally without prejudice.

Negative experience: Extremely pushy dentist. Don't visit if you intend on having NHS treatment, as they basically tell you that the job won't be done properly(I don't know why they don't go exclusively private). Had a terrible experience on both occasions (and I paid for private service, although I didn't intend to as I told them I want NHS treatment. When it was time to pay I was surprised to find out that I had private work done.) Was left with a filling that wasn't fully secure, which led to worse problems.

Fantastic experience: Overall great experience. Reception and nurses very welcoming and attentive. Thank you to Dr Kishan who was really gentle and patient with my fears of dental treatment. I had some white fillings and crowns carried out which have been great since. Treatment options and x-rays were also explained very clearly at my intial visit. Thank you once again.

Negative experience: I was seriously thinking of going to this dental practice as they are about 14mins away from where I live. After reading the reviews I'm not convinced they are good enough for me. Although I would do it private, it appears they don't care much for NHS patients, that tells me their ethics are not good. All dentists I've been to always give NHS customers a raw deal. My teeth has been damaged by dentists who just do the bare minimal and damaged my mouth. They are just in it for the money. It sucks because we pay our taxes. Now that I can afford to pay private, I think I will take my chances and have works done in Turkey.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a checkup and advanced gum treatment with Dr Kishan, as i wanted a second opinion from my previous long standing dentist. I was very impressed with his explanation of my dental issues, especially with the AI tools which made it very easy for me to understand my x-rays. I opted for private periodontal treatment which has really cured my gum problems which my previous dentist had been trying to treat for many years. My previous dentist had also reccomended a number of fillings to me which Dr Kishan explained to me could be monitored and treated only when necessary and evident on x-rays in the future. Would highly recommend this team.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for a few years and the experience is always friendly and professional. I've seen multiple dentists over the years and they are all super friendly and helpful. Booking is very straightforward and it's easy to get an appointment at a time that suits.

Negative experience: Worse dentist in south london. Refused to treat a child and have left her in more pain by prodding the affected area and sent them home. Poor receptionists and even worst dentists. Waiting times are abysmal and customer service is non-existent as all they are doing is trying to reduce their backlog of late appointments they have created. Rude and unprofessional. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Fantastic experience: I hadn't seen a dentist for 5-6 years before my appointment here; partly due to no availability for NHS patients, and partly because the last dentist I saw (elsewhere) was surly and made me feel bad about my teeth. I was shocked how easy it was to register (appointment offered in 1 week) and by the registration process which is very thorough. That alone exceeds the usual lack of interest and care dental practices usually afford NHS patients. I saw Kishan Vagadia today and he was very good- welcoming and friendly, took his time to do the assessment and explained what he was doing. I was offered a private treatment (a mouthguard) to limit damage from grinding my teeth, but this was appropriate and I was made aware of the pros and cons of not investing in it without the use of scare tactics or guilt tripping. I was also made aware that I could invest in a hygienist appointment but this was totally up to me and would be predominantly of cosmetic benefit. I didn't experience any pressure to spend or egrigious upselling mentioned in some of the other reviews. (Maybe this depends on the dentist?) Overall, reception staff and dental assistants were pleasant, room seemed clean and I was invited into my appointment on time. Whilst waiting I overheard a receptionist on the phone to a patient who said they couldn't make their appointment on time and was amazed that they were offered a later appointment. Admittedly I have got used to awful customer service as an NHS patient but still, they didn't have to be accommodating, so that was good going.

Positive experience: They seem to have friendly and capable dentists and hygienists. However, they do seem to be bending the rules on NHS treatments. My last dentist would include a scaling as part of band 1 treatment (£23), however here they seem to only offer hygienist appointments privately, from £78. They are supposed to offer this service on the NHS when there is clinical need (which in my case there definitely was since I hadn't had a scaling in 5 years). They also don't make it super clear what treatments are NHS and private, unless you ask. They do always seem to be trying to upsell.

Fantastic experience: Recently had my treatment completed with Dr Kishan. He was amazing from consultation to completion of treatment. Very thorough communication, x-rays and pictures so i could really understand my problems and appropriate treatment options. I opted for private treatment here and was extremely happy with the work and efficiency compared to my previous NHS dentist. I would highly recommend this clinic. Thank you again

Fantastic experience: My experience at Mint Dental Center met my expectations once again. I had my teeth cleaned on spot in less than half an hour and the hygienist always take the time to explain what she’s doing and how to improve my dental health so that I get to see her less often. I recommend this dental practice.

Negative experience: The worst dentist ever. Do not go there if you care about your teeth and money. They should be investigated. They lied to me, caused me a damage and then they refused to give me copies of xrays for which I privately paid so I can't take my case to solicitors! Please avoid, be scared and aware they just want your money, they don't want to treat you. My tooth broke in half and I wanted advice about replacing it with the implant. Dentist named Javier checked the tooth, but said that implant would be better for more front tooth, he said that other tooth might have infection around it's roots. He then suggested that I should have tooth extracted by him for £400, to avoid issues, such as bone grafting and sinus lift. Apparently NHS doctors cause lots of damage. He didn't treat the broken tooth at all and i had to have it fixed by other dentist at later date. I agreed with tooth implant which he suggested will be £2600. I had expensive tooth extraction for £400, then expensive xray for £175, after which I was told that there are complications and I need sinus lift, bone grafting.... all in cost of £4100. In shock I went to other dentist, got a quote of 1/3 of this, and I was told they have no clue what Dr. Javier was talking about. No sinus lift or bone grafting is required I have enough bone for 10mm implant.

Negative experience: Useless, find another dental practice! I’ve been waiting six months for Maria the dentist to make a referral for me, no one at the practice is able to confirm if a referral has been made despite me asking on multiple occasions so it appears that has been a waste of time. The practise have ignored 3 emails from me requesting copies of my own x-rays. I feel that I am being pressured into private treatment and am being avoided and lied to when asking if my referral has been made. This dental practice only seems to care about their private patients.

All my questions were answered. It is a very patient-centred service. Relaxing and reassuring. And with good hygiene safeguards against Covid transmission. Fantastic experience: I've always been quite nervous of going to the dentist but the dentists at Mint Dental Centre have always been reassuring and I feel comfortable. They are up- front about the costs and if I have needed an emergency appointment they have found the time to see me.

Fantastic experience: I had really bad pain in my wisdom tooth one morning and was surprised how quickly I could register and get seen (where I'm from In Surrey/Hampshire, it's a battle to get an appointment). Dentist was very thorough, clear in her explanation and professional. The man behind reception was also friendly and welcoming. I barely had to wait 5 minutes in the waiting room as well. Overall a top experience, definitely staying with Mint Dental Care!
