You always feel listened to and understood. The practice is spotlessly clean. And most importantly my teeth are in a much better condition now!

Fantastic experience: Today, I had some planned dental work completed. Michael, my dentist, is the best ever for a nervous/terrified patient such as I. He is very attentive and ensured my comfort at all times. I had three front teeth removed and a small denture fitted. I was provided with all the information I needed for the care of my mouth having had three teeth removed plus information for the removal of the denture, care of and refitting of the same. I left feeling well informed and supported. Thanks to all for their kindness.

Fantastic experience: After a fall I needed a quick appointment to review my damaged crown. My call for assistance was responded to quickly and thoughtfully by the team, seeing a dentist the same day. My crown was temporaly stabilised but unfortunately I will be needing some replacement works to carried out. I'm awaiting conformation of date for a consultation with my dentist to agree my options, hopefully not to painful for my mouth and pocket.

Fantastic experience: The Old Dental Surgery handle many referrals from our local hospital and do so with considerable efficiency, empathy and skill. I have been visiting them for over 2 years for a troublesome wisdom tooth removal, the process has taken a while as by consulting with them has enabled me to manage the actual date of extraction appointment for a convenient time of year for me ( i didnt want it out over winter due to other cold related issues). The staff have kept me updated with regular options to come in for a sooner appointment ( a system other surgery's and doctors should adopt) and have been most understanding and helpful. I should also compliment Mr Healey, the dental surgeon who removed my tooth, his obvious deep understanding and experience in dentistry coupled with a pragmatic and calm approach to the realities of this sort of thing inspires considerable confidence in the patient, I should also add that his assistant performed her role adeptly and prevented me having any undue discomfort throughout the extraction, which was something I was most concerned about at the time, more of a fear than the actual removal to be honest. In closing I can only reiterate what I am sure most of their patients would say about the practice, thank you.

I’m currently on a dental plan which includes check ups and hygiene visits and you always get a call or text to arrange your next appointments so you never have an excuse to not visit your dentist. If your looking for a great dentist in a relaxed and happy environment I highly recommend giving these guys a try.

For years I was very afraid of the dentist, I have dentophobia, when I enter the office I immediately feel sick and very scared, I couldn't cope with it but a great team: Dr. Abygail Costello and Dr. Diana Tucker and her team made me feel very comfortable on the day of sedation and extraction of 14 teeth I stopped being afraid, great care, I am so happy and my teeth are wonderful and I can smile like I always dreamed, a wonderful dental clinic and wonderful people who work there.

Fantastic experience: From walking through the front door, then a short wait in the very comfortable waiting area, to seeing the dentist and talking with the receptionist the whole experience was faultless.

Negative experience: AGAIN APPOINTMENT 30 MINUTES LATE EVEN THOUGH AT BEGINNING OF DAY - PROBLEM IS APPOINTMENTS ALSO RUNNING LATE WHICH IS A SIGN OF POOR MANAGEMENT

Fantastic experience: I recently had an old root canal redone by Dr David Cohen. Having been treated by him twice before, I have absolute confidence in his work and decades of experience. He's also a reassuring and fun personality! At the end of my treatment I left my ring in the bathroom. After calling the surgery the lovely ladies on reception found the ring and mailed it to me (tracked) free of charge, and included a lovely mini torch as well. A great experience all round. Thank you, all! ❤️

Positive experience: Just visited The Old Surgery for Oral Hygiene Clean where I was introduced for the first time to Louise & Elise had only been with the surgery for 3 weeks, I have got to say both ladies are a great addition and work so well together. Fantastic experience: As usual was seen on time and the service from both Mr Lomas and Tracey the Hygienist was thoroughly professional and courteous. The same applies to the Reception staff who are always extremely pleasant and helpful. The building has a most pleasant ambience and without reservation recommend this Practice for your dental care and treatment.

Negative experience: Been invited for a general check 3 months after I have done my filings with them, small part of one filling has fallen over, been told that i have to pay again for reconstruction, what a joke.

Fantastic experience: Today. Jan.21st. Excellent service and outcomes. My hygienist was thorough without causing too much discomfort. A little is to be expected. I had advice and demonstrations on curing the remaining problem with my gums. I have no hesitation in recommending this surgery. I go every 3 months so I must think that they are good.

Fantastic experience: I've had new dentures full top partial bottom everything went very well, but the cost was on the high side. I have four implants one is 2 years old three of then 15 years old. There's only one implant on the left holding the other three are slack and they all need replacing. I told the dentist this, he said they were holding very tight when he finished work on them, they aren't so tight now.

Fantastic experience: My appointment for 12.20. pm was attended on time. As usual my dentist was helpful and informative and carried out my routine examination thoroughly and efficiently. Fortunately Steve was able to inform me that all was fine and no remedial work was required. Apparently the use of my new WaterPik has improved the health of my gums and absence of plaque substantially.

Fantastic experience: Took my wisdom tooth out this morning because the right sided one wasn't coming though probably as it was stuck and been getting infected easily, food getting stuck under flap etc water flossing etc not helping so at to have it out, anyway got it out all in one so well happy, numbed the area with needle and no pain at all after that just alot of pulling that's all I felt, i was in and out quickly too, at least no pain coming and going from that area now just the healing process now and hopefully no more having to have antibiotics etc all done so thanks again nice one

On arrival the reception staff were very friendly and the waiting area was clean and relaxing. I had my tooth extracted by the dentist and was treated nicely and I did not feel stressed or any pain during the procedure. Really impressed by this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Okay, so poor dentists know that nobody likes going to see them so they're always starting on the back foot. The Old Surgery was fantastic - starting with the supportive and understanding reception/booking team. I saw Tom Healey and right from him actually coming to collect me from the reception area himself, he made an immediate good impression. He was confident but friendly, funny and warm. I was on edge and he understood but his jovial comments put me at ease. He gave me confidence and reassurance and was just excellent. His actual treatment was great - he had to remove a broken crown with three parts of the tooth/roots remaining. He didn't rush, worked perfectly and then showed me the pieces he'd taken out afterwards (who doesn't want to nosey at them LOL!?) I was initially thinking they'd need to knock me out for this, but with Tom's excellence it was a walk in the park - can't recommend him and the team at The Old Surgery enough - thank you.
