Green Dental Care - NHS Dentist Battersea

Negative experience: Very bad experience. Was sent by NHS 111 for urgent appt, had a broken tooth, the dentist didn’t even look at it properly and did a temporary filling, the filling is already out in under 5 hours. She made no effort to rub down the tooth before adding the filling so that it does not cut my tongue. Just wanted to make money off me. Terrible service! Terrible dentist! Never go there! Rip offs and time wasters!

Negative experience: I paid money gor this service and asked questions to doctor, but the nurse was too arrogant (a Black lady who I believe nurse) told me that I was taking too long and there are more important patience waiting.

Fantastic experience: AT LAST! A skilled dentist who can do their job properly! Dr Victoria Egemonye extracted a difficult tooth cleanly and painlessly. It healed perfectly. Sedation was brilliant. Totally recommend

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting service from the receptionist all three times I have called they have been so rude to me. They argue with you on the phone, sarcastic and outrightly disrespectful. The first time I called they told me I don’t need to come in because they cannot extract the tooth, then I ask them multiple times are you sure I don’t need to come which she replies ‘no’ and proceeds to call me 20 mins before the appointment (knowing I need to get a sitter and can’t get there that quick) and asked am I coming to the appointment she told me not to come to? I said you told me not too? And she responded yes but you need a prescription so you need to come in. I asked her can you not send me an e prescription I don’t really want to do an hour journey to pick up a prescription. Cut a long story she told me she would leave the prescription there and I could collect it in the morning. I then decided to go first thing in the morning to collect my prescription as I was in pure AGONY. I call them when I’m ten mins away (baring in mind I’ve just had to take my mum out of work to baby sit and drive me an hour there to pick up a prescription) for them to tell me my prescriptions not there and I need to rebook an appointment to get medicine for something they had already looked at and done an x ray on literally days before in my appointment. They then proceeded to argue on the phone with me which I said I’m coming there anyway, I went there spoke with the dentist and demanded my prescription as my tooth was literally infected which he knew as he had seen it says before ! Today I call again as I’m still here with this tooth still not extracted, and got spoken to like absolute rubbish because they’ve put a referral through to the wrong team on Monday (even though it was meant to go through on Friday) but that’s fine now there giving me numbers to call people who don’t even have my referral. Then when I call them back to tell them can they resend the referral because they can get me booked in today if they actually have the referral. She then tells me “the lady who sends referrals isn’t it today” firstly was a complete lie, secondly with so much attitude no care about anything but her pay check and there was no help at all and I told her multiple times how much pain I’m in. I also told her how can the WOMEN who sends referrals not be in today when it was a MAN who sent my referral, then the man I sent the referral to was in a really long surgery coincidentally, so he couldn’t speak either (just another string of excuses) It was obvious she was making things up as she goes along. I then asked for her name so I could raise a complaint separately and she refused and hung up. So personally if I get referred to these guys from 111 I would run and find any other emergency dentist you can as they will treat you with no respect. What I can say is the actual dentist seemed lovely and was helpful when he was actually present and gave me the medicine eventually but the actual receptionists are like bouncers on the door of a club horrible and rude and no compassion.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service. Had an emergency apointment here after that pain became unbearable. The two ladies that helped me where just fantastic. I was very nervous as I had to have my wisdom tooth pulled but they made me feel safe and comfortable. I honestly could not thank them enough. You are dental angels ❤️ So sorry to have forgotten your names please add your names as I want others to know who you are. I am thinking of moving all my treatments here from now on. Negative experience: Beyond disappointed with this dental practice. I have used them for years however they have repeatedly let me down. I have been waiting for my wisdom teeth removal referral for years now. I have been told that the person who originally put my referral through didn’t actually submit it properly so I was promised in person that it had been done for the second time. I since have been ignored and neglected and regardless of my persistence I’ve recieved nothing but lies and rude emails from them. I am still waiting for my wisdom teeth referral at the hospital. Only to get an email from them today to say I need to pay more money to book in for an examination at the dentist again to get another referral. At this point I feel they’re enjoying wasting my time and money. I don’t know if legal advice is something that needs to be actioned with this however something needs to be done. I’m beyond sick and tired of my repeated issue being neglected and them making errors with their own processes. I would avoid. Who knows how long it’ll take for them to sort this. It’s almost impossible to sign up to NHS dentists now otherwise I would’ve changed a long time ago. Save yourself the hassle and avoid.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at this dental office. During my recent cleaning appointment, the hygienist somehow damaged my wire retainer. I didn’t realize what had happened until after the appointment when I noticed that it was no longer fitting properly. I contacted the practise to let them know, but instead of taking responsibility or offering to fix the situation, they brushed it off. No one acknowledged the damage, and they didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience. Now, I’m left with a broken retainer that’s going to cost me a significant amount to repair. This is incredibly frustrating, and I am extremely disappointed in their lack of accountability and customer service. Wouldn’t recommend using this practise to anyone.

Negative experience: The care at this centre is very poor. They did a root canal treatment on me, which they did badly, and my tooth still hurts under the crown they put in. I already paid for all this, and it turns out that they gave me an appointment for January to get it fixed because it's the NHS. If I do it privately, they give me an appointment for the next day. It's a disgrace that a job done badly through the NHS isn't fixed until three months from now, and if you pay, they fix it the next day—a job that they themselves did badly.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Hannah and Hygienist Renuka at this practice on the recommendation of a friend and they were both brilliant. I needed a crown on one of my front teeth and I had seen several prominent dentists prior to seeing Dr Hannah. They all told me I needed to get both of my front teeth done otherwise it won’t match . She was the first dentist that told me there is no need for two, we can do just the tooth that needs it and we can match it. The match is so perfect that now when I look in the mirror sometimes I get confused which one is the crown and which one is my own tooth. I am really grateful for this ethical approach as I was really nervous about getting both my front teeth crowned at a young age.

Negative experience: Awful service, had an appointment 8/10/24 to fix a tooth, told without even touching tooth it needed to be extracted at the next appointment, as it was too soft to work on. Disagreed and arranged an appointment with a different dental surgery with a dentist who’s been there for 25yrs, first appointment told “we can work on the tooth as it’s not soft and doesn’t need extraction”, since had tooth treated and permanent crown fitted. The dentist here should not be practicing!

Negative experience: This place reinforced the fear of dentists/hygienists. They gave me the assumption, they care, but soon reveal their true policy after the money comes in. They give stern, authoritative instructions and ignore any further concerns and questioning. Turns out the small area I was actually worried about was left right to the end, so time runs out to try to get more money at a later date. I don't recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was first seen by Dr. Victoria and Dental Nurse Kim—what a dream team. Thank you both for making me feel so comfortable during my treatment! I came in a nervous wreck, but from start to finish, you made everything calm and stress-free. Fantastic experience! I then had my procedure with Dr. Hanna and Dental Nurse Kim & Khadeeja they literally saved my smile! Dr. Hanna’s hands are a pure blessing. She takes her time, frequently checks in during the procedure, and is incredibly kind and reassuring. A few days later, I had a hygiene clean with Dr. Andrea, and I was completely blown away. He’s so meticulous and explains every step clearly, making the entire experience seamless. Honestly, I’ve always dreaded the dentist, but this place has completely changed that. My experience here has been nothing short of amazing! Thank you all sincerely.

Negative experience: This practice took a deposit for a service I do not require and have refused to give it back. I will now have to go to small claims court to try and recoup my money. Appalling behaviour.

Negative experience: My daughter had a terrible experience when she developed an infection in her wisdom tooth and had a locked jaw. Dentist prescribed her oral antibiotics even though she (wrote on her phone or muttered as she couldn’t speak due to the locked jaw) that she couldn’t open her mouth and obviously not swallow. He just said go to chemists and get a liquid form. She went to 8 chemists and nothing. Finally to A&E who admitted her and straight on IV antibiotic drip then surgery. The dentist charged her for check up when NHS band 1 for just writing a prescription is at no charge, when he should’ve directed her to A&E as an emergency. I wrote two emails with no response. Please be careful people. Sheer negligence and I will be taking this further

Negative experience: One of the worst Dental surgery, very very unhelpful reception. Dr. are so careless to the NHS patients. If possible please choose another dental surgery.

Positive experience: It's surprising to see so many negative reviews, but I can understand why. This dental surgery can be hit or miss, largely depending on the staff member you interact with, which is a real shame. I've had a few uncomfortable encounters with certain staff members. That being said, the surgery overall is fantastic, with excellent appointment availability, an easy-to-use online booking system, and a welcoming reception team. Sometimes, you have to accept the occasional downside. I’d still rate it 4/5 and recommend it.

Negative experience: I was referred to this practice from 111, for urgent treatment. I was seen by someone who stated his name was Dr Lee. Whilst in the chair, Dr Lee was very rude to his accompanied staff, and in his rush to get me out of the practice because it was coming up to closing time, he elbowed me in my head while I was laying in the chair and didn’t even apologise at this time of writing this review I still feel the pain from that. Dr Lee was not able to help me and said I should be referred to a hospital, I was happy to go down that route, so I asked can I go ahead with you referring me to the hospital. Dr Lee began to tell me no because he believes I should get it from my own dentist. Not fully understanding why he believes I should go and get the referral from my dentist & not the one I was standing in I asked Dr Lee why I could not do it now from this dentist. Dr Lee got frustrated and started being passive aggressive & patronising to me and very uncooperative to help my situation instead of responding to me, he just stood there and looked at me and did not respond to my question. Time went past while we are now in what feels like a staring contest. I read into what was going on as he was not wanting to help me further, so I began readying my things to leave but before I did I asked for his name, and he finally responded reluctantly and when he did tell me, he went on to say you cannot do anything with it anyway. It’s not nice to be treated this way by a practising dentist I don’t think he should be a dentist because acting the way, Dr Lee did with patients that are going through pain makes the whole situation a lot more stressful.

Negative experience: My girlfriend had a terrible experience at this dentist for her appointment today at 10am. When she went in for an X-ray, the technician, Dr. Chung, instructed her to bite down on the device, but it was causing her significant pain (not tooth pain, just general pain). While she was trying to comply, Dr. Chung kept saying, “Come on, it’s not hard, I can’t help you if you don’t bite down,” despite my girlfriend trying her best and clearly struggling. Her tone was condescending and she was visibly and vocally annoyed, sighing repeatedly and saying, “Come on, lift your head up, it’s not hard, why are you crying?” Her impatience made the situation even more distressing. Despite my girlfriend’s discomfort, Dr. Chung rushed her through the process and insisted she could talk, even though she had previously communicated that it was too painful. The whole process was very difficult and left her in tears during and after the appointment. An assistant walked in at one point and that was the only time someone asked my girlfriend if she was okay, as she was in tears. This experience was incredibly upsetting, and Dr. Chung’s lack of empathy and professionalism was shocking. We do not recommend this place to anyone who might need considerate and patient care.

Fantastic experience: This Green Dental Care is the best in Battersea MR. Dr. Lit Man Lee is the best Dr I knew him quite long time his fast and very professional each time I go he allways do best job. I have seen many Dentis in my life I have never seen someone like him his best with his job please have experience with him he is perfect with everything Kind regards from Kazim Doleker

Negative experience: I registered my family to this clinic last year, overall they are good for regular checks. However today, I needed an emergency appointment as my 10 year old had a bleeding & broken teeth and the clinic could not give me an appointment for the next 4 days. This is the response I get with an insurance, wonder how it will be for those without.

Negative experience: AVOID!!! I had an appointment two weeks ago for a tooth extraction. The recovery was longer and more painful than I expected, until I found why. The dentist, when removed the tooth, left some pieces of the tooth/root on my gum, which created an infection! When I called them asking for a complimentary appointment to finish the job that was not done properly, I was told that I would have to pay for it! After insisting with them that they should finish the job I paid for, and it wouldn’t be fair to pay twice to remove one same tooth, I was told again and again that if I wanted the job finished, I would have to pay another appointment! They just wanted my money!!! I recommend everyone to AVOID it!

Negative experience: The Green Dental Care practice cancelled my appointment for fillings, and offered one, 3 weeks in the future, quoting technical difficulties as the reason. Looking at the reviews, this Dental practice cancelling appointments happens often enough for customers to complain. Dentist Name When you get an appointment, you will receive a text message confirming your appointment, the name of the Dentist is NOT on there. No Policy On their website, you can't access their Dental practice Policies. No Dentist Identification Their website doesn't show you WHO the dentists practicing here are, no names, no diplomas, you can't look them up and verify IF they are ACTUAL DENTISTS qualified to work in the UK. Not good enough, 1 star.

Negative experience: Con artist money making scammees.i booked a 45 minute session with their Hygienist ? Although a politely pointed out to the teeth I had problem / painful she kept syaomg I haven't finished and when 45 minutes was up she says oh you need to book in another session so I paid £80 and still came home with painful teeth. Stay away from that person Renuka is her name I think..

Negative experience: terrible receptionist. I call for 25 minutes and nobody answers. this has happened numerous times. I’ve been in the dentist waiting and decided to see for myself, I called and they sat there at their desk letting the phone ring or they turn it down so you can’t hear it. very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient, I was recommended this practice by a friend. I had an appointment today with the practice. I was seen by Dr Hanna and Kadija. They took very good care of me and provided very good service. I am very happy.

Negative experience: Being unfamiliar with this area & having to take 2 buses I made sure to leave plenty of time to get there, particularly as I have a disability. I had only been once before, but because it was dark and I had been given a lift to the door I was unfamiliar with how to get there. I’m a private patient so I paid the full fee and took a seat. My appointment was for 2pm and I arrived at quarter to 2, so 15 minutes early and happy not to arrive late, because tardiness is the height of ignorance. The practice has a varied clientele of welfare benefits recipients and asylum seekers. I only saw 1 other private patient whilst there. Despite arriving 15 minutes early I was not seen until 20 minutes after my pre-booked scheduled appointment. I was not given any explanation nor apology as to why I had been kept waiting so long. In fact, rather ironically not only did the female dentist ask me for an explanation as to why I was ‘so early’, she expected an apology! Which was definitely not forthcoming from me! I’m over 50 and cannot remember any other time in my life when I’ve been asked for an explanation as to why I arrived on time or early for any other appointment! Anyway, I was then advised that I would need to attend hospital for sedation, which was odd because they do sedation at the practice! Now I have to wait another C.8 weeks due to that dentist! Wasted my time & wasted my money! On my previous visit I had seen a different female dentist who was an absolute delight. Long story short, if you have an appointment in this practice they do not like you to be early, so please attend a few minutes late in all instances. Otherwise you will be asked to explain why you arrived before your appointment

Positive experience: Been here a good amount of times to get some dental work done under sedation, dentist have always been a huge fear of mine but honestly they handle me pretty well here! Would definitely recommend this dentist!

Fantastic experience: For years I covered my mouth when I laughed, until I met Dr Hannah. She not only understood my insecurity with my teeth but also my fear of ending up with “fake looking” teeth. Now after the magic she has done with my teeth, I get so many compliments on “looking radiant” without anyone realising what exactly has happened. And that’s what she promised me. Negative experience: Poor Customer Service, Poor Patient and Bedside Care. Receptionists rarely ever answer the phones. Dentists perform sub-optimal work! From A Private Patient! Would highly recommend going somewhere else or thinking twice.

Positive experience: An initial appointment following referral from my usual dentist, no treatment as such today, very pleasant staff and required treatment fully discussed/explained.

Negative experience: I came back to this practice because I had a very good experience from the last dentist I saw.She was extremely nice and accomodating.Very friendly and explained everything..She checked my teeh and I exactly know my problem.. Today I booked online..for anothet dental problem..and I never expected someone opposite from her. This dentist is very impatient!.She looks at my teeth and asked for an xray. I had a hard time putting that thing on my mouth and I repeatedly told her that I have never had that kind of xray before..And she insisted to push that xray thing saying its so easy even kids can do this why cant you do this"..( gosh every individual is different and she should not impose!) I told her I cant bite!..she says why??but you can eat..as If its my fault that I cant do tthe mouth xray she is horrible!! Worst I told her the last time I was in the clinjc..I had my xray done in a machine...and she says..we dont have any xray machine here..that one has been broken long time ago ..so I says if it can be done it can be done..I have other way. Then she told the nurse..ok can you check the machine if its working?...what now its working?.( is she lying) Then finally I had the xray througj the machine... She didnt explain anytjing about it..just directly told me she is booking me for extraction.thats it Very unprofessional! No patience.Not kind at all..Not accomodatig ..She should not be there at Green Dental Care..She does not belomg there.

Fantastic experience: I was given the first appointment through NHS 111 for an emergency treatment. My first appointment was with ( I think Dr Hoi) with a lady Dr , she was very kind and I felt much comfortable immediately after treatment. It was given me an amazing good impression about the dental clinic. Then i went for next appointments with Dr Hanna , she is a very nice kind person who is very much professional, and her way of treatment is soo good. Now she has become my family dentist including my kids. She enjoys her job. Next I got an appointment with Dr Tapasya , for a root canal filling. It has been effectively done. She explained each and every steps in an understandable way… From receptionists to Surgeons including nurses all the staff and their kind helpful service is amazing. Without hesitation I can recommend Green dental care for any family members or friends.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hanna is one of a kind. Unlike other dentists I've had previously, Hanna takes the time to educate you on your own teeth and makes sure you know exactly what's right for you. Negative experience: The worse possible dentist you can go to. I was made to wait 20 minutes for a dentist who turned around and refused to treat me for absolutely no reason. I suspect racism because this practice is run really poorly and the treat people different on the reception and if you dare ask a question, they call it abuse. HONESTLY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FIND AN ALTERNATIVE, THERE IS ONE 2 MINUTES UP THE ROAD which is very professional and treat patients fairly.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service from the receptionist, she has no patience and speaks in such a belittling tone. (Short brown hair) I also second a review put forward by another patient. Extremely unprofessional as they gossip and laugh about patients.

Negative experience: Just had my 4th appointment out of 5 cancelled or changed time. Service is average at best if they were to actually keep to appointments or indeed if the staff answered the phone

Fantastic experience: My daughter was referred here to see a specialist for a tricky root canal. The dentist did in 30 minutes what 3 other dentists couldn't do in 2 years worth of appointments.

For a patient like me who is always nervous visiting the dentist, he puts your mind at ease and he is very gentle and does a thorough clean of your teeth. He is one hygienist to visit and you will come out feeling even more confident with your smile.

Fantastic experience: I went to Green Dental Care at the request of my regular dentist. I required their expertise at evaluating hairline fractures in teeth. I received a thorough examination by the dentist. I found the most probable cause of my pain and we explored all possible next steps. He answers all my numerous questions directly and thoroughly. I give him high praise.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to this practice by NHS111 for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. Admittedly it was pretty dire and was tended to within 24hrs of my phone call. The staff were amazing as I riled in anxiety & agony, the procedure was painless after 3 injections to be fair but the tooth was out in under 2mins of receiving the anaesthetic. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the staff of Green Dental. Your professionalism saved me from the worst physical pain I’ve felt for a long time. I even haven’t missed considerable time off work which has only aided me further. Star ratings do not do this practice any justice, they’re amazing and it’s testament on the day of the NHS 75th birthday how lucky we are here in the UK to have an incredible institution next to us. Bless them all.

Negative experience: The dentist I saw accused me of exaggerating my symptoms in order to secure an appointment. Regardless of whether her assumption holds any truth (which it did not, as I had been unable to eat over the weekend due to a significant tooth cavity), her judgment was both unnecessary and highly unprofessional. I made a formal complaint with no response

Fantastic experience: Having been a patient at Green Dental for the last 10 years, I would say that my experience has always been 1st Class ! All the team and in particular Dr. Ranganathan take great pride in the service they offer and having had both minor & major work completed, you'd be hard pushed to find another Dental practice who are more professional & caring. I would also like to add that as someone who visits the Hygienist occasionally, this is another area that Green Dental really excel. The Italian Hygienist is Brilliant, he is friendly, extremely thorough and will always pass on great tips on how to keep your teeth looking their best :-) All in all, I couldn’t be happier to have found Green Dental and now (remarkably) look forward to my appointments !

My experience with him was great although my problem, unfortunately, is next level (hosp referral) but I will never forget the help and advice he has given me. I wish I lived nearer. They don’t offer you proper treatment apart from offering you to remove Your tooth which is unacceptable ridiculously… After visiting them yesterday, today I went another dental clinic and they straightaway offered me a plan for how to treat my tooth safely and keep it ,instead of removing .I’m glad that I refused the offer of dentist HANNAH at Green dental care . Fantastic experience: Had rather complicated triple root canal treatment on my upper right main molar today, which I was told by colleagues might be very painful. Dr Jayaram, the dentist at Green Care who undertook this was fast working, very efficient and completely successful with this tricky work and I can confirm (with some relied) it was virtually pain free. A well run and comfortable surgery. I would return again. Dr Jayaram instils the confidence so necessary when dealing with nervous patients like me
