Fantastic experience: I was nervous of having an implant after a very bad experience elsewhere with an extraction that left an infection untreated. I need not have worried about anything. 7 months after my first consultation my lovely new tooth is in and looks as good as new. Everything was excellent from the first phone call to the fantastic aftercare. Even the hardest part including a bone graft was easy with sedation and the pain was minimal. Thanks to the whole team especially Laura and Sophia for excellent organisation and painless local anaesthesia as well as Amy and Ellie, and Nick helped a bit too!

We wanted to say a big thank you for all your expertise, patience and care - particularly through the ups and downs of teeth extraction, fillings, braces and teeth sensitivity! We’re really happy with the results and our straightened out smiles Would really recommend Invisalign with Sophia - as a largely pain-free route to a better smile, even if you’re in your fifties - braces aren’t just for teenagers apparently!! Fantastic experience: Very positive. The reception personnel were welcoming and friendly which certainly relaxed me.This was my first visit for treatment after over 25 years at my previous dentist. Slightly unsure but soon relaxed when we started discussing what needed to be done. The whoe procedure went smoothly. While I am certainly not looking forward to returning the concerns that I previously had have certainly dissipated.

Today I saw Lren the hygienist along with Taaliah her assistant. Lren is superb at her job and along with Taaliah made me incredibly comfortable. Fantastic experience: I recently had my first experience of having Botox at Woodborough House Dental practice. It was such a positive experience from start to finish, the reception team being warm and welcoming on arrival and the personal care and attention all staff had during my visits. Alex really listened to what I wanted to achieve from having Botox and has such a gentle hand. I am thrilled with my results and will definitely be returning to have further treatments. Fantastic experience: My wife has very worried about going to the dentist for a long time. She is nearing the end of her treatment for 4 veneers now. Rupert and his assistant are amazing at supporting her and Rupert explains everything before he does it. He told her to say if at any point if she needed a breather just let him know. My wife and I think they are a great dentist and I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Met my new dentist Dr Chan at Woodborough House. All good. Dr Chan has just replaced an ancient (25+ year) crown for me. It was painless and I am pleased with the result.

Negative experience: Nothing wrong at all, really, except 65% more expensive than the market price. So check your pocket before you go... Of course, you naturally receive a good quality service at this kind of price. Otherwise, where the money goes? So 'good reviews' are also true but the extra excessive charge, from this clinic, is real and a fact. I am not surprised by their consistently defensive approach when handling customer feedback, but again just check the prices from other clinics before you pay. For example, for dental implant, the market price ranges from 2500 to 3500 quid, theirs start with 6500 quid! Here you go...

Fantastic experience: For my recent crown work, Dr Alex and dental nurse Fanny could not have been more professional, efficient and pleasant to receive treatment from. Excellent process explanation and equipment. I felt confident in my choices.

Fantastic experience: I had a front tooth implant done here. The whole procedure was very well organised and carried out. It was explained what the options were very clearly and once I had chosen, it was made clear how and when each part of the procedure would take place. The actual implant itself was easier than expected and the aftercare excellent so I was in a minimal amount of pain and my new toother looked after. Right from the reception area to the surgeries there was a very nice, calm and helpful atmosphere I'd highly recommend Woodborough house if you need Dental Surgery

Fantastic experience: Honestly, just had such a lovely experience at Woodborough. Shiv is so warm and welcoming – we were just having a nice, easy chat the whole time, and he’s just one of those people who instantly puts you at ease. I went in feeling pretty nervous (hadn’t been to the dentist in years!), but he made me feel so reassured and comfortable about everything – such a genuinely kind and calming person. Muqadas, who was assisting him during the appointment, was also absolutely lovely – so friendly and gentle, and they both just made the whole thing feel really relaxed. Even walking in, you’re welcomed with a smile and a cup of tea – it’s just a really nice atmosphere from the get-go. I honestly never thought I’d say this about a dentist, but I actually look forward to going now. Just feels like I’m in the best hands, and that makes all the difference. Thanks, guys. Fantastic experience: Dental Review 2025 I was referred to Woodborough House for assessment of possible options to address my extensive dental concerns. In particular I had fractured, loose and infected teeth and substantial gaps which my existing dental practice felt unable to address. Woodborough House responded promptly and positively to my referral and I was offered an early assessment appointment which comprehensively and thoroughly identified my options, this was summarized in a detailed written report which included financial costings. I was given time to consider carefully my options but initially I allowed myself to become a bit too dominated by the sheer scale of the monetary costs involved. Looking back now I feel that although the cost of such treatment is relevant, it shouldn’t dominate the decision-making process and other factors are equally significant. When addressing health issues, quality of treatment and confidence in the providers should also be uppermost and these are the very areas in which Woodborough excel. Woodborough House have ensured that what has been a much more complex and significant process than I initially appreciated has been planned, implemented and evaluated extremely effectively. Communication throughout has been superb, treatment has been carried out skillfully and with such levels of confidence that I have felt reassured and completely confident that I was in the right place with the right team throughout. Reception, treatment, planning, administration, communication face to face, over the telephone and electronically has always been of the highest order. At no stage have I regretted, even for an instant, my decision to proceed with them for my dental implants and I can wholeheartedly and completely recommend them as a first-rate dental practice. Fantastic experience: I have always been impressed with both the culture and professionalism of the Woodborough House team. This ranges from the warmth of the reception staff to the hygienists, dentists and orthodontists. Over the years , I have had a couple of implants and a crown fitted with no issues. Not cheap! Though one might argue good value and there is a sense that there has been significant investment in both training and technology to keep up to date with the latest developments.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed lengthy treatment with Nick for an implant and two crowns replacing a bridge. The implant required some bone grafts in my case and any discomfort from the procedure soon settled. The care received by Nick, Sofia, Laura, Amy & Holly was exceptional! I have had bad experiences with dentists historically so do get nervous at the dentist, like a lot of people, but this was a very pleasant experience and I plan on going back regularly!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had such a wonderful experience with my braces journey. From the very beginning, Luis has been amazing—always patient and thorough in explaining every step. After 19 months of wearing braces, I’m thrilled with my straight teeth and the overall result. What’s even more impressive is that he was able to avoid an extraction by using a careful, safe approach to preserve my teeth. Nina has been incredible too ensuring I was doing ok at each step. Fantastic experience: Update from my review 2 years ago as Phase 2 of my teeth 'makeover' has been completed and I am so happy with the result. Louis has done an amazing job with his intricate braces work and I now have straight teeth for the first time in my life!! Now very much looking forward to the next phase with Hamish and Nick! Fantastic experience: My teeth were in a bit of a tragic state when I started treatment at Woodborough House and am I so pleased I did! I can see and feel that my dental health is improving as my treatment continues and I am very grateful for that. I was starting to feel very conscious about smiling which is rather sad! Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Nick, Sofia, Amy, Holly and Laura highly enough. Implants were the best option after a severe infection and a complicated dental history. As a nervous dental patient I was very apprehensive about a process that would take almost a year but I don't think I could have had a better experience. Throughout the process, the communication was excellent, all my questions and concerns were thoroughly dealt with and I can't believe how seamless and pain-free the last year has been. I was very self-conscious as it was my two front teeth but even the two sets of temporary teeth Nick created were good enough for me to smile freely. Nick, and team, really did a fantastic job from a challenging starting point and I am very grateful for their care, kindness and skill throughout. It is possible to go for a cheaper option but I am so glad I didn't, as apart from an excellent result I had peace of mind throughout. Positive experience: I have been unhappy with NHS dental practices for many many years. After retiring I decided I wanted to spend my small pension lump sum on improving my teeth. Woodborough House was recommended by a friend. After initial consultations with Hamish, Nick, Sarah, Luis and Helen I have decided to go with orthodontics and 2 implants and white fillings. The staff also know that I am on a limited budget and have accommodated this. I have given the review 4 stars because of the quality and professionalism of the staff. They have listened to what I want to achieve and treated me like a person, not a number. I have no doubt that after my treatment is finished my final review will be 5 stars. Fantastic experience: Woodbrourgh house dental practice is by far the best dentist around the area. Patients are really looked after Hamish was very good for my tooth extraction, I was very anxious going for this appointment. Hamish put me at ease straight away and the procedure went very well.

Fantastic experience: Christmas Eve and everyone in the Christmas mood, but some of us were not looking forward to Christmas as much. A split and painful tooth needed extracting under sedation, and Woodborough House Dental Practice certainly came to my rescue in their customary professional way. Thank you to everyone who was involved in my treatment yesterday; the receptionists who welcomed me, the young lady (Holly?) who sedated me and prepared me for my treatment, and the wonderful Alex and his nurses who so expertly and gently removed my tooth. Alex is a lovely human being as well as an excellent dentist. Thank you also to everyone at the practice who I have seen over the recent month or so.

Fantastic experience: BEST DENTAL PRACTICE WITH THE NICEST STAFF EVER I arrived at Woodborough House as a nervous patient who hated having her teeth interfered with. That was twelve years ago; Sarah transformed to a confident happy patient in just a couple of visits. I know my teeth will be excellently cared for by the Woodborough Team and I look forward to seeing all the lovely people there; Hamish the dentist, hygienists, dental nurses and receptionists. Fantastic experience: Dr Kuljeet is an expert and a gentleman. I am a bad bad patient and not only did he make the whole experience painless but ( almost) pleasurable. My only reservation is that every time I come to see the angels at Woodborough House - I am so euphoric that I race across the road and spend lots of money at Kiki and Bow plus the glorious show and bag shop ‘ Grace’. Fantastic experience: So very many thanks to Sally and Khareen for the root canal treatment I received from them on 26/11/24. The time, care and skill over two and a half hours were exceptional, and matched the quality of the root canal treatments I had from them last year. Fantastic experience: I cannot praise this practice enough! I have been coming here since a child and have consistently received dental care that I would describe as above and beyond. My dentist Nav is fantastic and always puts the patient first by genuinely caring and recommending the best treatment options. I recently had to have all of my wisdom teeth removed due to repeated infections and got this done at the practice with the brilliant dentist Nick. I was initially really anxious about this procedure but Nick and his team have been absolutely fantastic! The procedures were seamless and they all went over and above to ensure I was comfortable and continued to be in contact after the treatment to follow up. My teeth healed brilliantly and I could not recommend Nick and his team enough! They removed all anxieties as well as my teeth! Thank you for your expertise and care.

You are all simply the best!

Fantastic experience: Dr Rupert Monkhouse was exceptional. I was anxious due to past traumatic experiences with dentures. Rupert listened attentively, understood and answered my questions patiently. Rupert explained carefully what was going to happen. I felt safe, reassured realistically and involved in the journey of having full upper dentures made. The dentures exceeded my hopes, fitting perfectly, without adhesive. I can talk, smile even yawn without them moving. I have adjusted to the new bite and can eat almost everything. Fantastic experience: Practice Manager, Receptionists, Dentist (alex) and Dental Nurse all really nice and treated me really well when i was in a lot of pain and petrified. Did everything they could to look after me and reassure me about treatment required. Highly recommend them especially if you have had bad experiences with dentists in the past. I will definitely be going back for check ups etc.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended the Woodborough House practice by my own dentist as I needed a dental implant for a front tooth. I am so glad that I had that recommendation. 5 stars doesn't seem enough! The professionalism and care of Nick, Sofia, Amy, Holly, Laura and everyone there is absolutely first-class. The practice has some very sophisticated technology for assessing your teeth, including the latest CT scanner (normally found in a hospital) and software for mapping out your mouth. It is impressive and appalling in equal measure (lol!). After the first consultation with Nick, I read the report and wondered if I should get myself off to the knackers yard! However we worked out a plan of action, having listened carefully to my thoughts. The operation to have the implant is not trivial and the two weeks post operation were not the most comfortable, to put it mildly. But the aftercare over the weeks was without fault. There were a lot of specific instructions, solutions to use and checkups. When it came to the permanent crown, I even went to London to meet Rob who made my tooth (Sofia suggested this and I am glad that she did). He even puts in imperfections so that is totally in keeping with your other teeth. How anyone decides to do this "on holiday" in a couple of weeks is beyond me. You might save a few pennies but end up with a failed implant and worse effects on your health. Speaking of money, of course all of this excellent equipment with highly trained and motivated staff does not come cheap. But it absolutely is value for money. As a final touch, the staff even gave me a card and a gift from Nick's native NZ. I was very touched. I only wish they were nearer (and the traffic and parking were easier!) otherwise I would go there as my main dentist. I might still do it. They are that good. (see if you can spot the implant!)

Fantastic experience: What makes Woodborough House so special is that everyone is so open and friendly, not something you generally expect from a visit to the dentist. Sophie and Hamish were both very thorough and professional during my recent visit so I'm confident in the knowledge that my teeth are in very safe hands at Woodborough house.

Fantastic experience: So doc, how long will my implants last?” “Hmm, indefinitely, however, you can at least expect about twenty years.” That conversation was back in 1999 which is now approaching a quarter of a century ago when discussing my dental care with a noted Harley Street pioneer in the implant surgery methodology. The scope of the proposed can be described as, extensive! In late 2023, now and old man aged eighty, my situation had reached something best described as a dental crisis. A crisis analogous to that of an old village churchyard’s cemetery whose precarious headstones in need of care; everything was infected and failing at which point the name, Nick Fahey was mentioned. “He’s your guy.” The first consultation with Nick revealed the depressing extent of my problems. “We don’t do it like that anymore.” He explained having considered the methodology used for my old implants. Seemingly, the advance in dentistry techniques including, equipment, materials and experience over the decades had evolved. Nick developed an action plan which made me wince at the cost. Today I’m an old man and at eighty I’d entered the actuarial ‘death decade’ so it was not a question of the anticipated life expectancy of the implants but that of my own. Predictably, people gush to suggest that we will all get a telegram from the King having reach the great age of a hundred - yeah right. Levity aside, Nick rightly suggested that it is the quality, not quantity of life that is of the greatest importance. And today, having gone through almost a year of treatment, I can happily report that all is well. I am healthy while rid of infection and I feeling good. Suffice it to say that, while omitting any mention of the actual gory surgical detail, I am in awe of Nick’s skill and that of his team. Walking into Woodborough House gives the feeling of pleasantness and confidence. And so, it is without hesitation that I can recommend these guys. Des FitzGerald

Fantastic experience: So glad to have found a truly sympathetic dentist, as I'm a nervous patient and I hate dentist visits. Unfortunately, she is now leaving. I'm hoping Woodborough has another dentist similar to Celine, as I'm going to miss her banter, which calms me off the bat.

Fantastic experience: The environment of the practice was cozy and neatly maintained. The specialist, Dr. Sally McCarthy and her assistant (Kareen ) are really professional. Dr. McCarthy convincingly did a superb work on the root canal treatment. The entire process was meticulously handled and explained. The diagnosis, treatment process and outcome were fully documented. I thank for their patience with me and their hospitality as well. The receptionist and administrators were also nice and polite which extended a very comfortable feeling.

Fantastic experience: Strongly recommend Woodborough House and especially Dr. R. Monkhouse if anyone is in desperation for high quality fine dentures. I live 2 hours drive from the surgery and it was definitely worth travelling. NHS messed it up and I was crying everyday, then I went to a very posh London dental clinic and was refused as they think my gum would not be able to hold a denture in and they can't do it. With recommendations from a highly rated dentist, I came to see Dr Monkhouse and now I have a perfectly fitted denture and can eat almost everything I used to be able to eat! The fine material used looks very close to real teeth and people can't even tell I had dentures. At a relatively young age, this really improved my quality of life and I can not say how grateful I am! The reception team was always friendly and helpful. Dr Monkhouse has always been very patient, explained each step in simple language, always very empathetic and listened to all my concerns. He always allow enough time and never rushing and has great knowledge and skills in his job. I wish the best for the clinic and the whole team! And I want to say a big big THANK YOU!

She was gentle and thorough and after examination took the time to show me and talk me through the issue. There was no hard sell, only recommendations and I felt relaxed and valued as a client.
