Fantastic experience: Had several treatments today, and am a nervous patient so was a little anxious. Staff were wonderfully reassuring and professional - a big thank you to Jo (and her dental nurse colleague), Hanish & Sara. Excellent patient care.
Fantastic experience: Hanish and Sara were so lovely and made me feel at ease when I was nervous going in for a tooth extraction. The procedure itself was done very quickly and professionally and they talked me through what they were doing. I also have a young family and the experience the children have had has been very positive.

Negative experience: After putting a complaint, I have been removed From the Dentist practice, I’m sure this is because I’ve put in a formal complaint but never heard anything back never been spoken to so rude So it appears you do not mark!! ?
Dear Nick - we take all complaints very seriously and aim to acknowledge them within 3 days and normally reply within 10 working days. We have no record of receiving a complaint from you. Our team have rechecked all our emails and our spam folder to no avail. I am not sure if you emailed or posted your complaint? If you would like us to investigate further, please could you resend your complaint to [email protected]. In the meantime, can I reassure that the reason why we are no longer able to offer you NHS or Private care is that your dentist is leaving and to date we have been unable to replace her. The remaining dentists are already at full capacity and we have had to make the difficult decision, that we can no longer care for the same number of patients, having now two fewer dentists than we had before Covid. Negative experience: Poor service. I turned up a day late after them cancelling my previous appointment, unfortunately I got the date wrong. Then to be told I was struck off the list. I asked if there was any other option for me to be told bluntly NO! Terrible customer service, as a NHS receptionist myself I would never be allowed to speak to a patient in that way

Fantastic experience: My husband and I visited Collins House today and as usual our experience was excellent. All staff, including reception, the dentist and dental nurses were kind, helpful and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Since moving to Herefordshire over 7 years ago we have benefitted from first rate dental treatment by the Collins House team. Their professionalism and service excellence is second to none.
Negative experience: Says to call at 9am for emergency appointments. Only to be greeted by an never ending loop of being left on hold. Terrible old outdated calling system like most of the dentist & doctors. The NHS has completely fell apart & the government has ruined what they call “healthcare”. I’m honestly enraged I can’t even get a dentist appointment in such a serious situation.
Good morning Bob. We take all feedback extremely seriously and pride ourselves on the service we offer our patients. Are you sure you have left this feedback for the correct dental surgery? I cannot find a patient of your name on our computer system - we do not think we have ever seen you. Additionally, we open at 8.30am every weekday and not 9.00am as you state on your review, we are a predominantly Private practice, not NHS as you mention and we do not have an endless loop on our phone system. This makes me think you may have got us confused with another dental practice. We aim to answer the phone within three rings unless all our reception team are dealing with patients face to face at the desk and they are not aware of any delays in answering our telephones yesterday. Naturally if you are a patient of Collins House, we want to make this right for you, so I would ask you to contact our reception team on 01432 357717 and leave your email address with them, so I can reply to you directly and investigate your concerns in a less public forum. Fantastic experience: Had a problem with a chipped tooth which was uncomfortable. Rang the surgery and was seen the same day with the tooth being repaired and left feeling much better. Many thanks excellent service and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: As always, I had a very kind and helpful and encouraging appointment, both from dentist and hygienist. And I had an experience I'd never had before. I was feeling slightly ill: I'd experienced two dizzy spells and blackouts, one on the way to the dentist. Everyone was very sympathetic, and listened carefully. Simon told me about TIAs, and said that if I had another I should see a doctor straightway. I fainted again the evening after my appointment and saw my GP the next day who sent me to A&E. All the appropriate tests and nothing too serious. 'You're not as young as you used to be', they said, very nicely. So all is well. A dentist's appointment like that really cheers you up and makes you feel it will be possible to face the next thing that comes along. Thank you very much indeed.

Fantastic experience: I attended for an extraction with Mark Doyle, as usual Mark and Karen were super friendly and put me at ease from the off. Mark explained the procedure as he was carrying out the extraction with his usual interjection of humour and anecdotes. The process was quick, and surprisingly painless. As always the service and patient care was faultless.

Negative experience: Wanted an emergency appointment, wouldn't even consider seeing me as they weren't taking on anymore patients. I only wanted an emergency appointment as my own dentist couldn't fit me in!

My eldest son ( disabled )loves his day out to the dentist to see all the staff and get his stickers, he always comes out smiling and cannot wait until his next visit.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately I had dental issues this week, initially thought it was sensitivity & my wonderful dentist Mark treated the issue but later in the day the situation became worse therefore the next morning another visit to Mark was made who very quickly diagnosed nerve issues and a decision was made to extract the tooth, this was done extremely quickly & pain free....things didn't quite go to plan, I was still in a lot of discomfort later hence a third visit back to my No.1 dentist & his team of fantastic dental nurses to find the onset of an infection. Mark being such a great guy & so professional dealt with the issue immediately assisted by his loyal & best nurse Karen who make the most amazing team ever. Mark, I'm so grateful for your prompt, efficient & professional care, simply the very best ever. Thank you also to Team Collins House you are all fantastic.

Negative experience: I haven't received dental work at this surgery as I have always lived in Australia. I advised by email to Collins House of the incorrect emails I received reminding me of my appointments but my email was not acknowledged & it was not corrected. Let's hope they are better at dental work than correcting their mailing lists when advised.

This is the first I have heard of this issue and have taken immediate steps to rectify this. It appears that your email address is very similar to one of our own longstanding patients. You should not receive any further emails from us. Fantastic experience: I've been with Collins house for a long time now. I've found them to be top class. The welcome you get is outstanding. Their attention to detail is superb. I feel like a part of the family and felt that from day one. Nothing is too much trouble. Their standard of care is excellent. And of course the work they have done in my teeth is exceptional. I have two boys, primary school age. They have been so good at introducing them to the world of check ups. Have been kind, patient and gentle. If you get the chance to sign up here my advice is don't delay.

Fantastic experience: Simon Portman Lewis is the most incredible dentist. I had and hour and a half root canal treatment and can honestly say I felt nothing. Even the anaesthetic is incredible. He is so skilled I didn’t have that terrible numb face thing at all afterwards- and today hardly a twinge of after pain. I must also mention his dental nurse who was amazing at assisting him (and me). Not one dribble or run of water escaped her notice. Honestly if I could give more than 5 stars I would. I can’t imagine any Harley Street practice being any better
Fantastic experience: A wonderful experience as ever ... and I never thought I'd say that about a trip to the dentist. The care I've received from Simon and Laura at this practice is first rate; everything is explained clearly and succinctly, and my questions are always answered in a detailed, precise manner. I had an emergency appointment this morning - one of my crowns fell out last night - and everything has been fixed by Simon with the minimum of kerfuffle.
Fantastic experience: As a wheelchair patient I find Simon's team and the reception staff to be professional and helpful, and from the time I enter the premises to when I leave everything is as it is for other patients. Having dentures helps a lot and Simon's knowledge is second to none. You can trust him to do the right thing and he has the years of knowledge and can explain it in a way that is understandable to all!! An appointment is an enjoyable event!!
Fantastic experience: Last night I lost a vital filling, luckily I was already booked in this morning for my hygienist visit and routine examination, all went well and I returned later in the day to have the filling replaced, Mark Doyle, in his usual efficient and professional manner soon got me sorted. I felt safe in the surgery with all their anti Covid procedures and will always recommend Collins House to anyone needing the best in dental care.

Fantastic experience: The staff here have to be the gentlest dentists and hygienists I have ever known. They really do take care of the patient as an individual, noting and catering for one's individual terrors and fears! I always feel reassured and valued at CHDS, and I speak for my wife as well in saying this. Despite the Covid restrictions, the staff here continue to be helpful, friendly and efficient. I still don't like the drill, but Collins House always makes me feel that I matter as a patient and they do their very best to mitigate my fears!
Fantastic experience: Needed urgent treatment for a partially broken tooth, was seen within an hour of phoning the surgery even though my usual dentist was not in the practice today. Outstanding service from the team at Collins House, as is usually the case.
