Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing dentists. John the children’s dentist is fantastic. I have never come across a dentist as brilliant as him! I bring my children from Manchester. He gives them funky sunglasses to wear, an ipad to watch during treatment and funny air to calm nerves. My kids love him! At the end of treatment, there’s also a treasure chest to choose a toy treat from! I couldn’t recommend him more! He is kind, caring, accommodating and truly amazing at his job

Fantastic experience: Had my quarterly hygienist appointment with Alicia this morning. As always, really attentive service. Alicia really engages with you and offers first class advice on maintaining and improving your gum health. Always a pleasure so much as a visit to the dentist can be!

Fantastic experience: I had my 3 monthly appointment with my hygienist today. My appointments are always pain free and relaxing. I cannot fault the hygienist and her assistant. The procedure is explained to me at every appointment. I cannot fault Hannigan Dental Care, they provide an excellent service, very professional and always put you at ease. I have been using Hannigans since I returned to the area 5 years ago. The receptionists are always very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend Hannigan's for dental care, they are the best dental practice I have ever used. Linda

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to see Alicia the hygienist for many months for my scale and polishing. I remember Alicia being a dental nurse well before HDC opened and it is great to see her progress in her dental career. She is very kind, patience and doesn’t rush you out the door to see the next patient. I always feel the difference in my confidence in terms of my smile the next day after my scale and polishing. After feeling like a new career path for the past couple of years Alicia has now inspired me to study oral health science and I hope to become an excellent hygienist just like Alicia

Fantastic experience: Hi ,Got treatment today from Hannigan dental practice in Muirhead,my dentist was Kris . I was getting a filling,the appointment was on time and Kris put me at ease and explained everything that he was doing when giving me an anaesthetic. Never felt any pain while procedure for filling was being performed. I would highly recommend this Dental practice,as this was an emergency appointment and they fitted me in as quickly as possible.

Ashleigh Anne at the front desk was also welcoming and helpful regarding my upcoming appointments and kindly organised a brief chat with Pearse for me when I was there. Both the dentist and hygienist were very informative explaining what they were doing, why and how they were going to carry out these tasks out. It was good to have my personal dental situation explained and discussed with me rather than just 'see you in 6 months' chat. Fantastic experience: After many months of suffering I bit the bullet and booked an appointment I was seen by Kris and 2 girls that helped him .. the experience was far from what I'm used to .. Kris has removed a few teeth for me over the month and each time has been a breeze .. he has the most calm kind gentle persona and both girls helping the same my anxiety disappeared during treatment .. if your nervous about dental treatment I highly recommend booking yourself in with Kris guaranteed you will feel differently about dental treatment

Fantastic experience: I recently had a tooth extraction done by Kris, and I’m still in shock that I was able to go through with it! I’ve had a fear of extractions for about 30 years, and I never thought I’d be able to handle it. But thanks to Kris, it’s now done! He had such a calming manner and explained each step in just enough detail to keep me informed, but not to the point of scaring me! Kris, along with the dental nurse, Lorna (hope I have the right name), were both incredibly understanding of the anxiety I felt, and they kept me calm and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. What I thought would be a terrifying experience turned out to be manageable and nowhere near as bad as I feared. I’m so grateful to have found a dental practice that truly understands dental anxiety and knows how to put patients at ease. Thank you so much, Kris and the team!

Fantastic experience: I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Pearse and his team. I had my implants placed on March 19, 2025, and I truly wouldn’t have chosen anyone else. Trusting Pearse means a lot to me, especially because I was terrified of the dentist and my anxiety was overwhelming after being working with me for six years. Pearse worked patiently with me to build my confidence. The implant surgery lasted six hours, and both Pearse and Pamela guided me through every step, even discussing things I didn’t want to hear. Remarkably, I can’t remember much of the six-hour process at all. This is significant for me, considering how anxious I was on the day of the surgery—I was crying and saying I couldn’t go through with it. Pamela stayed by my side, reassured me, and took the time to explain everything again without rushing me. I used to avoid events and never smiled because I was embarrassed about my teeth, but now I smile all the time! I truly love my new teeth, and we're only halfway through the process. I can't thank Pearse and his team enough for their support. Pamela, you deserve a bonus for dealing with my. Now I’m just looking forward to my next appointment! What a team you have at Hannigans

Negative experience: The worst experience I ever had to the dentist, unexperienced dentists, 3 times in 1 year my wife had to go back for the same tooth filling, I've had a bad experience myself and the last one ..... I've been 5 minutes late, was already someone inside anyway, most probably the previous patient ..... and they wanted to reschedule my appointment...... ??

Pearce and Pamela go the extra mile to make sure your experience is positive and you are comfortable with the procedures. Pearce gives the time needed, to make sure you know all the options available and the right one is chosen. I can’t rate this practice highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Hannigan Dental are superb. Pearce and the whole team really care about your experience providing a safe, non judgemental environment. I have just completed 2 years of work to restore my oral health and have cosmetic work too. It's been so carefully planned by Pearce with all options considered, with no pressure. The results are amazing. The cosmetic work just looks like my own teeth!!! I had front teeth that crossed over replaced by NHS crowns that were not great but I put up with them for years, affecting my confidence. I feel really confident to smile now. The hygiene care is the best I have experienced too. I highly recommend.

When I first met Hazel and her warm friendly attitude put me instantly at ease. My treatment plan was explained throughly, any questions I had Hazel answered and reassured me. Fantastic experience: I recently visited the Hannigan practice as a new patient. I was made to feel very welcomed by Hazel. She explained everything to me before carrying out my dental check up, which was nice as I knew what to expect. I am keen to get braces and she took the time to explain the process and the different types. Fantastic experience: Having had a negative dental experience at my last practice, I was very anxious to have new fillings done. However, I did not need to worry one bit. The care and patience from my dentist put me at ease. Even little things like using numbing gel prior to injection helped make the experience that bit easier. I’m more than happy with the service and glad that we moved dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Hadn’t been to the dentist for many years due to a bad experience with a locum dentist at my old practice. Had my initial registration appointment and check up and wasn’t needing as much work done as I had expected. The staff were all lovely and really put you at ease. I went today for my first actual treatment appointment, I was slightly nervous, but again they made me feel relaxed and not rushed. I got 3 fillings and the whole experience from walking into reception and having the treatment was a positive one. Fantastic experience: Attended the practice for my regular hygienist appointment with Alicia. Alicia did the usual manual scale (as my teeth are too sensitive for the electronic one). She also kept me informed of how my gums were looking (as i have previous history with gum disease which required treatment). I am on the Denplan which allows me 4 hygiene visits to keep on top of any issues. Alicia always puts me at ease and provides a very good service.

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old daughter is incredibly nervous about seeing a dentist. A visit is usually done in tears and she often willl not open her mouth. Alicia Dillon made her feel so comfortable. She explained everything to my daughter and did not do anything until she was happy and comfortable. My daughter was a different child. No crying or screaming and she even allowed Alicia to have a look at her mouth and put flouride paste on her teeth. On our way out my daughter said she had a good visit and would like to come again. Fantastic experience: I have used Hannigan dental care for a few years now and am very satisfied with the professional service I have received from them. My present dentist at the practice is Kris Kirkcaldy and he is a wonderful and friendly fellow, explaining everything that needs to be done and making what is a potential daunting experience as relaxed as possible I recommend their dental services to anyone, it is a friendly run place, 10 out of 10 from me!

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years and was very anxious about being judged or told off for that. But everyone at Hannigan's has been so lovely and helpful. I've seen Pearse and Alicia so far - they both explained everything, made me feel comfortable, and I'm no longer dreading going to the dentist. Fantastic experience: I attended Hannigan’s dentist today and was seen by Alyssia the hygienist for a scale and polish. .Alyssia was very friendly and knowledgeable, and explained in detail what would happen at the appointment. She was extremely gentle carrying out the treatment. I would thoroughly recommend Alyssia as a hygienist. I will be making regular appointments.

Fantastic experience: The dentist John and the nurses were brilliant with my daughter Emily who is 8 and autistic. She had to get gas and air and they took their time with her, and me! Fantastic experience: I was seen by Suzanne for pain I was experiencing in a root canal treated tooth and she was really understanding and put me at ease. I was then treated by Hazel who made the extraction process as painless and relaxing as it could be. Having treatment at this dentist was night and day compared to other practices I have been to in the past, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday, my two kids had a check-up with Miss Dillon, and I felt compelled to share just how wonderful she was with them. My kids usually feel quite anxious about dentist visits, but after yesterday, they both mentioned how much more at ease they felt. Miss Dillon was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She explained everything in a way that the kids could easily understand and made sure to involve them in the examination. I left thinking she is exceptional at her job, a credit to the practice and my kids were very fortunate to have seen her. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to her.

Fantastic experience: This was my second visit to the practice, Kris was lovely he took his time to explain everything. I had a check up and clean and polish. I like the relaxed atmosphere and the way the dentist’s are clearly happy to have NHS patients. In the two visits I’ve had not once has private treatment been mentioned unlike the previous local dentist I was in. If you’re looking for a practice where you feel welcome and comfortable this is the practice for you.

Positive experience: Happy with my care within the Hannigan dental practise, all staff are friendly and approachable. Even though I may be nervous at times in my appointment , the staff help me relax, my treatment is explained in depth and I have a clear understanding of what lies ahead in my future dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: My two girls received the best service from Hannigan Dental Care yesterday. Jodi and Alicia looked after us really well. Alicia was amazing with kids and took her time to chat with my two girls and put them at ease. My 7 years old loves Alicia and enjoyed the dental check up so much that she was asking me when we will be back. My 3 years old opened her mouth the first time ever during dental check up all due to the great work of Alicia. Highly recommended Alicia for all children who are nervous with dental check up.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience for my 4 year old son with Alicia and Jodie R. They made it so much fun for my son to have his check up! From the minute he was greeted in reception to leaving the check up the ladies made it such a positive experience by incorporating fun (rainbow glasses, 'invisible' positions on the teeth', stickers etc!) whilst also sneaking serious dental discussions in there. I've never experienced anything like this with other dentists / health care professionals so would highly recommend Hannigan Dental Care!

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental surgery. The staff are very welcoming, listen to patients and are great at communicating what will happen next. The surgery itself is clean and modern with excellent facilities and the latest technology.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient here for a number of years, I Attended my routine hygienist app yesterday only to be told she wouldn’t touch my teeth as a had new crowns fitted abroad , even though my previous ones & implant had been fitted at the same place 12yrs prior , was told blatant lies about insurance purposes etc and when I challenged this by saying a have 12/13 close friends and family who’s had the same procedures done and their dentist / hygienist has treated them happily for the last few years she then back tracked and says it’s not insurance purposes it’s personal preference, so it’s not that they couldn’t , they just wouldn’t , a left the surgery in disgust , called a well known dentistry who was recommended by a friend , explained what had just happened and they where flabbergasted, they told me they’d be happy To see me and even gave me a priority hygienist and dentist app for today . I’ve Just left their wonderful clinic and couldnt be happier with the new place , friendly staff , 1st class professional service and couldn’t be any more helpful and have now set up a plan with 3 hygienists visits per year and two dental Checks ups . Hannigans , absolutely shocking mannerisms , shocking customer service and quite frankly a disgraceful way to treat patients who’s been there for years so much for looking after loyal patients . One star cause it’s not possible to give zero . Avoid at all cost

Fantastic experience: Kris is a great dentist. He's very informative and goes over and above for each of his patients. My son is disabled and somehow Kris managed to do his check up. Highly recommend Kris and Hannigan practice. Definitely the best dentist I've ever been to

Fantastic experience: Excellent service all round. From the moment you walk into the surgery you can feel the friendly atmosphere and everyone makes you feel welcome from the receptionist to the dental staff. Pearse took time to explain everything that he was doing and provided reassurance at each stage of the procedure.

Fantastic experience: I needed to have 2 fillings replaced as they had become dislodged. I'm quite nervous of having treatment after a poor experience as a child. Kris was very understanding of this and took the time to explain everything as he went. He spoke calmly and reassured me at every stage. I felt very well looked after and both the filling look and feel great.

Fantastic experience: The staff are lovely. I’m terrified of the dentist and every visit has put me at ease. Great results from the treatments I have had. Absolutely recommend this dentist, I’ve been coming here for many years even after moving away from the area.

Fantastic experience: Excellent introduction to Hannigan dental care. Met with Suzanne who looked after me and my 2 children of 14 and 11. Suzanne spent the time needed to go through each of our cases, mine and my son's not simple. I was very impressed with the diligence and care shown to us. I have a follow up treatment plan which Suzanne discussed in detail with me and provided all options. I really appreciate the time she took to do this. Already much happier having my treatment sessions in the diary. I'd also like to add thanks to the reception staff and the dental care assistant who supported Suzzane. What a superb team. Fantastic experience: This is Joyce Vogan. Review. I highly recommend Hannigan Dental Practice. In fact, I cannot recommend them HIGHLY enough. The ability of the staff to make you feel at ease. Helpfulness, skill, friendliness and sensitivity are of the highest premium. This was my first visit for treatment and rightaway I felt at ease.I will certainly recommend to friends.

Fantastic experience: Once again visit was a mix of professionalism, understanding and feeling of being welcome no matter the problem. The appearance that all staff enjoy working there is plain to see, not something that happens by accident so congrats to management. Seen by Suzanne again and can't speak too highly of her , well done Hannigans .

Fantastic experience: Always had a great experience at Hannigan Dental Care. Its a very friendly modern practice that are especially good with young children. My dentist is Suzanne Dowd. Suzanne always looks after me and is SO informative when it comes to any treatment required. My hygienist is Miss A Dillon. She is a very friendly lovely young lady who put immediately puts you at ease and again, is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the practice to anyone looking for dental treatment. Dental appointments for the whole family are now something to look forward to and not dread!
