Fantastic experience: Not the smartest surgery but does everything you need, and all the staff are very lovely and helpful!

Fantastic experience: My visit to the hygienist today was for me nerve wrecking only because I haven’t been to the dentist now for many years. Once I was seen to be nervous I was immediately reassured that everything will be alright and made to feel more relaxed. I now feel after having a deep clean that I will repeat this visit every 3 months without any fear. Thank you to the hygienist and her assistant for the great job done.

Fantastic experience: Great stuff. The dentist knew what my pain was due too. Gave me a temp filling. Took me out of the pain I was suffering

Negative experience: I came here today after not coming here for years. The staff are quite shocking. There not as friendly and the customer service could be way better. I’m not sure what happened in the 8 years I haven’t been coming here but I’m not too impressed. The dentist I saw was quite rude and was rushing me. I felt unwelcomed and pushed away and rushed. Almost like as a patient I’m Not important, and get her over and done with. Not a welcoming approach. And the assistant dentist lady was just looking at me strangely and rudely. A terrible combination of people. The job was to add a temporary filling to my teeth and the temporary filling looked unprofessionally done and rushed. After I was taken by the assistant dentist lady to the receptionsy to book an appointment to get a proper filling. But I saw the same lady from the room laughing about me with one of the receptionist lady. A very unprofessional experience. I wasn’t happy at all.

Positive experience: Great staff, reception staff very helpful and the dentist was fast and effective. Only reason for 4 stars is I was seen 20min late

Negative experience: Arived at 2.40 with my partner and our 2 kids we all had appointment's booked us all in the kids were seen first I was waiting to be called for my appointment after a while I asked reception they said your not booked in so your not going to be seen Re book Clearly I was as my kids and I all booked in together no response from staff just dentist will not see you i explained but they just said I doesn't matter Clearly I'm not so your not going to be seen today What a waste of my time because the staff didn't book my in when I was Clearly there no reasoning just stonewalled book a new appointment

Fantastic experience: I've been using Gresham Rd dentist for at least 46yrs, it's had its ups and downs, regarding it's performance overall, but recently, the service has been excellent, courteous receptionist's, getting seen on time and great service. I'd like to give a shout out to Dr Martin who I have been seeing for a few years and must admit he is one of the best dentists I have had in my time going there. Hopefully this trend continues

Negative experience: Poor! The Dentist was 30 minutes late. The lady before me was in constant pain and tears. When he saw me he wasn’t confident about providing a solution so I told him I prefer to wait until I saw my dentist next week. Which defeats the purpose of “emergency treatment.”

He very patiently explained things to me, and I was happy with his professional advice. Had root canal treatment been recommended as a course of treatment I would have been very happy for him to carry it out.

Negative experience: Staff very rude and reserved. Didn't want to know history of tooth problem. Can not give straight answer to simple questions. Very quick service. poor hygiene standards in room 4, downstairs.

Positive experience: I had to wait a little bit. But the care was good. I had a temporary filling fitted.

Fantastic experience: I have been suffering from a toothache, so I called 111 and got an emergency appointment at my preferred location within 20 minutes. When I arrived at the Brixton surgery, I was seen immediately. The dentist, Dorothea, was amazing. She asked me a few questions, conducted a cold test, took an X-ray, explained everything clearly, and we discussed my treatment options. Within a few minutes, she relieved my pain by performing a root canal treatment (RCT). The service was delivered promptly, with care and professionalism. I am an anxious patient and was scared to seek out-of-hours care. I wish I hadn’t suffered pain for two weeks; I called 111 immediately. Thank you, lovely team!

Fantastic experience: The front of house staff were very courteous and attentive. The dentist herself matched the above including useful and guided dental advice.

Fantastic experience: The dentist was very nice and helpful, he explained the procedure before and after, I was really impressed with the way he treated me, within half an hour the root canal treatment was done and the X-ray showed all good. Thank you very much Dentistry for you, excellent work.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment here (this isn't my usual dental practice), I was a bit unsure when I came in initially, but Dr Iqra (I believe that was her name) was so incredibly kind and helpful. I was in quite intense pain and she made me feel comfortable, but also explained the issue and the treatments clearly in a way that made me feel very confident in the level of care I was receiving.

Negative experience: Had a very bad experience. Dentist was not at all gentle. Doing the xray he push the plate (sharp edges) into my mouth that cut through my skin under the tongue and swollen since then.. Im in tears coz of pain.

Negative experience: I went to this dentist for an emergency visit. He applied a temporary paste to my broken tooth, but it disintegrated within a few hours even though I hadn’t eaten anything. It was a complete waste of time, and he didn’t refer me to anyone who could actually fix the issue. Very disappointed with the lack of effective care.

Fantastic experience: I was in the worst pain I’ve ever been in with my teeth i got an emergency appointment here when i arrived the staff were friendly. The dentist who i ended ip seeing made me feel calm and less anxious and once he had a look he talked me through what he was going to do and as soon as he had started the relief was so good

Negative experience: I had an appointment at 7pm. Got there ten minutes before as requested. I was finally seen at 8:30 with no apology or recognition that we had waited in a windowless waiting room for 1hr 40mins. All that for a <2 min appointment where I was given a prescription. Noone came out before me so not sure what the wait was for such a simple appointment.

Fantastic experience: Quick and efficient, nice and friendly. Talked me through the treatment and also explained to me simply the dentisty terms. Ensured that I knew the possible side effects of the antibiotics I was put on. This was also an emergency appointment and they saw me before the appointment was meant to be!

Negative experience: This place is full of cowboys. Was referred here from 111. Told them the issue myself. The only new treatment I was offered was to have my tooth filed down!? All I needed was a new filling! Please avoid. They took my money and did nothing. I have made an official complaint as well.

Negative experience: Horrible organisation in the reception. I have to wait 50 mnts just because someone want to be see it before the appointment. They didn’t apologies or nothing they blame the dentist. Always been very good treat there but no today.

Fantastic experience: This is an update of my review of Dentistry For You. It has been my fav dentists for 4 straight years running. First of all, each time I go there for my dental appointments there’s always helpful staff helping me. The flexible schedules and affordable rates too also mean that I get premium NHS dental care. It is just 10 minutes work from London’s Brixton Underground station. Keep up the good work.

Negative experience: This was genuinely the worst dental experience my mum and I have ever had. We came in to have our fillings redone and for a cleaning, but from the moment we sat down, the dentist Meabh Hughes was extremely rude, impatient, and aggressive. She had already been unpleasant during a previous visit for X-rays, where she was cold and dismissive, and this appointment confirmed our concerns. She was very judgmental in her tone and attitude, making us feel uncomfortable rather than cared for. She sighed constantly, got visibly frustrated when things weren’t going smoothly, and was rough and inconsiderate. When we mentioned sensitivity or pain, she responded with irritation instead of any concern or empathy. She dropped a tray on my head obviously didn’t apologise and moved our heads abruptly without any warning. It felt like she was rushing through the entire appointment and taking her frustration out on us. By the end, our fillings weren’t even done properly our tongues hurt from them being scratched against the filling. Mine is overfilled and I can feel the material spilling over the edge, which is uncomfortable and clearly not finished to a proper standard. The cleaning was just as poor. Both of our teeth now feel rough and unfinished, like it was done carelessly. We will now need to visit another practice to have the work corrected. We had previously asked to change dentists after the poor experience during the X-ray visit, but the practice told us we couldn’t switch until our next check-up the following year unless we stuck with the same dentist. We regret agreeing to that. We left feeling shocked and extremely disappointed. We will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely impressed with the dentist. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but he was an Indian or Pakistani gentleman with a beard. He was incredibly kind, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He even showed me on the scan where the problem was and walked me through my options in a way that made me feel truly cared for. I can’t yet comment on the results of the treatment, but I can confidently give him 10 stars for his humanity and professionalism. Unlike many NHS dentists who seem in a rush or push for private services, he genuinely focused on helping me. I’m seriously considering switching my NHS dentist to him.

I am a nervous person and hate dentists due to poor experiences in the past, however, I think I stumbled across the best dentist you could wish for. The practice is clean, the staff are polite, welcoming and professional. They put you at ease, explaining what they need to do before doing it. It is an asset to the local community and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a local dentist.

Negative experience: My emergency appointment was for 7pm- waiting in a fast filling up waiting room for an hour with no communication about expected waiting time. One hour passes and nobody is called and at that time - 8pm the dentist arrives. Because of the large queue the appointment is very rushed and the dentist makes incorrect assumptions about my wisdom teeth for which their was no time for discussion so he knew the background and doesn’t take the time to take a proper history i.e. that I’ve already had a course of antibiotics and not fully explain the treatment plan- I now feel like I need to book another appointment elsewhere to have a proper look and discuss my dry socket. Dentists being an hour late should not affect patient care to this extent. Seems like a case of NHS care being given much less priority than private.

Fantastic experience: I am so gratefuL for the emergency appointment that i was given , I was in so much pain with my Lower moLar and the treatment i received was quick and efficient , i received antibiotics and am now out of pain. Thank you to the cLinician who treated me.

Negative experience: Dentist Hussain works one day per week which is a tuesday so good luck if you get toothache on a wednesday & he is busy the following week as once you have a dentist you cannot ask to see another!! He told me a tooth needed removing but refused to remove it saying I had to go to the hospital at Kings!!! went to the hospital at kings & was told that with a root canal, the tooth does not need removing. I have now got a new dentist.......Avoid them!!!!

Negative experience: We were at the Dentist at 18.40 for the 19.00 appointment. No words come out from the receptionist untill 19.50 she said Dentist is running late he will be here in 15 minutes. He arrived at 19.48 and passing through four patients and not even looking at them and said sorry. What a service Never again.

Fantastic experience: I had previously undergone root canal treatment on two of my teeth in Iran, but unfortunately, the work wasn’t done properly. My dentist referred me to this clinic, and both of my teeth were retreated in one session. I was really surprised that I didn’t feel any pain at all and was completely comfortable throughout the procedure. Since yesterday, I haven’t taken any painkillers for my teeth, and I haven’t experienced any pain. I’m extremely satisfied with the service and will definitely recommend this place to any of my friends who ask for advice. I sincerely thank Dr. Kamal for his excellent care and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Got booked on the same evening, didn't wait for too long in the room. The dentist was very lovely.

Negative experience: I had to wait an hour an a half to be seen at my last appointment. Although this was the longest I’ve waited this is a regular occurrence which is frustrating and unacceptable. If it’s nots them running extremely late, it’s cancelled appointments on the day and I’ve noticed these changes since it’s been under new management with dental staff and I’ve been attending this surgery for years.
