Fantastic experience: I had 3 filling yesterday.I was delaying from long time because I wasn't sure and comfortable but he did amazingly definitely I am going back to him for my dental treatment.

Negative experience: Awful service, avoid this dental practice at all costs. Service has really gone downhill, was a lot better when Manoo worked there more frequently. Reception staff are really incompetent, unhelpful and rude, requested over a month ago in person, verbally and in writing my last dental report and X-ray from July 2025 which I needed for a composite bonding treatment elsewhere, I had to chase this on numerous occasions and was told about a ‘new IT system still transferring over data’ shouldn’t take this long with the capability of technology in 2025 and backups should be readily accessible… anyways finally received the xray via email weeks later, chased for the report again, a month later still didn’t receive, chased in the last week and told about new IT system again, was then sent a report from a visit in January 25 despite clearly requesting the report from my last appointment in July 2025. You literally cannot make the level of incompetence up! There’s also no date on the X-rays received so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are from January 25 or before if the IT system is still allegedly down! I’ve now had my composite bonding (elsewhere) and the dentist mentioned that I needed a few fillings which I said I had recently (at 119 in July, the dentist used a new rapid filling treatment, apparently ), this now makes me question if I actually received the fillings I paid for! I will be making an official complaint to the GDC! Save your time, money and teeth and go to a reputable dental practice elsewhere!

Positive experience: I was not pleased with my recent hygienist consultation, unfortunately I didn't get her name. The dentist had advised me to see a hygienist regularly for a "deep clean" to keep on top of gum disease, but when I booked an appointment online, I didn't know whether it was airflow or another treatment, so booked one of the 2 options that cost the same and added a note that I needed some advice at the appointment re what suits my needs best. I arrived at the hygienist a few minutes into my appointment time as, even though I had recently filled in all my forms when seeing the dentist, I had to do it all over again upon arrival for the hygienist, and this time I hadn't factored in when arriving just in time for the appointment. The hygienist wasn't keen on discussing my options, checked me over briefly and didn't see active gum disease, so told me I didn't need a deep clean. She didn't really tell me what "airflow" was either, only that I could have it at the extra cost of £29, even though an airflow treatment would have cost the same £86 as the treatment I had booked originally. I did at least get her to clarify that airflow was "purely aesthetic", so I decided against it as my main concern was the gum disease. By this point we only had 15 mins left, so she cleaned the lower teeth, but then did a quick and shoddy job for the upper teeth, incl on the area where I have a "pocket" that needs extra attention, according to the dentist. I left dissatisfied: even though I accept responsibility for missing 5 minutes of the appointment due to not having filled in the forms in advance, I couldn't be expected to know what treatment I need, especially as there is not much detail given on the website when booking the appointment. The hygienist clearly just wanted to do "her thing" without taking my needs into account. And in the end only did half the job because we'd run out of time, without any explanation or acknowledgement for leaving me short. I work with patients myself (not customers, mind you!) and did not feel as if I got the same attention and care from the hygienist that I strive to deliver in my own work. With this being a "private" treatment, most likely nobody cares about the client care she delivers and hold her accountable for it. But I still hope she takes this feedback to heart and learns from it.

Negative experience: My appointment was cancelled without any notice. I took time off work and travelled to the clinic, only to find out it had been cancelled due to their new system. No call, no message, just wasted time. This level of disorganisation and lack of communication is extremely unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I seen Upsana today my treatment was very good ! However, I did note that the price is very expensive £86.00? This is very expensive for pensioners.

Positive experience: Good service but dentist was late.

Fantastic experience: I really value the work of the hygienist, but find it to be prohibitively expensive. The price has gone up another £16 in one go. I believe it should be on the NHS. I will probably cut to once a year now, £86 is a lot of money. Also they shut 1-2pm for lunch, but when given my 2pm appt, I wasn't told. I always arrive early & had to demand to wait inside as it was cold, but they weren't happy about it. Despite my complaints, I have attended for many years and was always pleased with the treatment.

Negative experience: This is now the second time my appointment has been cancelled, on this occasion, just three hours before the scheduled time. If I would cancel last minute, they would charge me cancellation fee. I waited three weeks for the first appointment and another two weeks for the rescheduled one, just to get a basic x-ray. With the pain raising. Being told this is completely normal. I also took two separate days off work for these appointments, both of which have now been completely wasted. This is unacceptable, and I cannot continue to lose annual leave due to their last-minute changes. Given this experience, I will be looking for another, more reliable dental practice.

Negative experience: I am writing this review to share a distressing experience I had at 199 dental practice. I experienced behavior that was highly inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. The professional boundaries that should be strictly maintained in a healthcare setting were not respected. This has completely eroded my trust, and I cannot recommend this practice. Patients deserve to feel safe and respected.

Reception staff some extremely friendly and one was not as she didnt communicate in delays but seemed perturbed when i asked about wait time. But opposite experience with another reception staff who was so friendly and communicated. Grace is really great dentist and during my hygiene appt my filling fell out. The hygienist was really good at getting dentist to rectify issue as soon as they could give me an appointment. So this is a good mark of a dental practice when things don't go to plan how they action things. Would recommend Grace and hygienist to anyone...

Fantastic experience: Update to my previous post a few years ago. The receptionists are still amazing, can't praise them enough. GP receptionists could learn so much from how the receptionists at 119 treat and interact with their patients. Dr Jenna is amazing, so kind and friendly .Dr Anna is outstanding, first class. So pleased to have 119 as my dentists. Firstly, the reception staff are amazing, so friendly, professional and really go the extra mile to help. The premises are super clean and covid safe I have seen dentist Rania Maraki and her lovely dental nurse for a number of appointments. Great to see x-rays of your teeth on a monitor with your dentist explaining a treatment plan. I never thought I would actually enjoy going to the dentist! Kind souls, thorough and genuinely care about your comfort and treatment.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience at One One Nine Family Dental left me somewhat disappointed. My hygienist appointment, which I expected to be thorough, lasted only 15 minutes, and the entire process felt extremely rushed. There was little time for the hygienist to address my concerns or explain what they were doing, which left me questioning the quality of the cleaning. I had anticipated a more detailed and attentive session, especially given the importance of regular dental hygiene, but this visit didn’t meet those expectations.

Fantastic experience: I saw my usual hygienist, Upasna. She is extremely thorough but also gentle. Appointment booking is simple, with good availability.

Negative experience: I was seen by “Mano”in May. I paid £1050.00 on account as a private patient for a crown that she advised was imminent. I told Mano that I was not experiencing any problem with this tooth. A tooth on my opposite side was giving problems and so I returned but the treatment needed is not what she specialises in and so I decided to go with another specialist. Int he meantime I decided to get a second and subsequently a 3rd opinion on the advice from Mano as I was still not experiencing any issues and did not want to do something that was not required at this time. The opinion from the other 2 dental practices both advised me that the treatment Mano suggested was not necessary. Based on this advice I decided to request a refund of my money on account as I have not had any work or treatment completed at 119 Dental with the exception of the original check up, which was paid for on the day. I requested a refund almost a fortnight ago, have had to make several calls as not getting any response and I keep being advised that due to the large amount they are waiting for a manager to authorise and the accounts department to sanction. I would advise to excel use caution with this practice before accepting a diagnosis as well as before parting with any money. I am now going to have to resort to visiting the practice in person and waiting in the surgery until my money is refunded to my card or account as it seems that whilst they accept I should be refunded in full they are not willing to pay the money back. I will be visiting tomorrow 9th October and will keep you posted. I just want to caution people before they are duped like me and have to waste hours trying to get their money returned. UPDATE: I have just come off the phone from reception. Been advised that my case has been prioritised since over a week ago. They cannot tell me when I am going to get my refund as they do not know and the practice manager has advised them that they should not chase again until tomorrow (Wednesday 9th October)??? Obviously our definitions of priority are somewhat different. Have written to the reception and practice manager for confirmation in writing of my refund and the date.
