Fantastic experience: I have been with Pennington Dental many years, since not long after it opened in Stratford in its previous location. I have been treated by some lovely dentists and always warmly welcomed by the long-serving, patient and kind receptionists. It has however taken the fantastic Dr. Mina (as well as her wonderful assistant Laura) for me to get around to writing a review (I don’t do many!). Dr. Mina makes going to the dentist not just a pleasure, but something to look forward to. Her dental work is exemplary, her attitude caring and compassionate while remaining informal, funny and friendly. My only worry is that this review may mean she gets so booked up that I won’t stand a chance of getting an appointment - but I mustn’t be selfish!

Fantastic experience: After a series of awful (private) treatments at another dental practice, I booked in to see Mina for a free consultation where she was so kind and understanding about what had happened. Fantastic experience: I recently had masseter Botox at Pennington Dental with Dr Mina Sanghera and I had a fantastic experience. All of the staff at Pennington Dental and lovely and welcoming. Fantastic experience: I can totally recommend Pennington Stratford-upon-Avon. A big shout out to my Dentist Mina, who always puts you at ease, explains everything she is about to do, and by some miracle , did my tooth extraction completely pain-free ! Exactly what you'd want as a Patient. I always say they are miracle workers. Mina also looks after my 2 Daughters brilliantly, one of which has Anxiety and she really helps calm and put her at ease, as she really doesn't like visiting. Also a shout out to the Reception Staff, always pleasant and professional to deal with , as the "front of house" of the Dentist. No issues from us at all, totally recommend.

Positive experience: I've come back to amend this review because I'm pretty disappointed now. Firstly, the actual service is fine I guess. The reception staff are perfectly pleasant and polite and seem like nice people and I've never really had any issues with the dentistry and hygienist services. It's worth noting that if you're an NHS patient you'll likely be routinely upsold private services but I suspect that's nothing new. My two gripes are as follows: I recently cancelled a hygienist appointment with just over 24 hours notice. They told me they wouldn't charge me on this occasion but they had recently changed their policy to requiring 48 hours notice for cancellation. My irritation here there was no communication about this and I can imagine people not being aware of will present a nice little bump in revenue for the practise. But mostly importantly, they practise a policy of missing one appointment and you're let go as a patient. My irritation here is that whilst this might be hidden away in the small print somewhere, it's not something that's made particularly clear and I think this reflects a wider view of their attitude towards NHS patients. My own experience was that I realised I had an appointment at 9am and only realised shortly before it. So I jumped in my car as I only live a short distance away. I called at 0906 to say I'm running a few minutes late and would be there in a few minutes. I was told that this would be too late and not to bother coming in, and furthermore the practice would be letting me go a a patient as a result. They then wrote me a letter to say I missed an appointment (to be pedantic I didn't miss it, I was late and they told me not to come in) and would no longer be a patient. On the one hand you can argue that they have a set of rules, no matter how well-hidden these are, and I didn't abide by them. Fair enough. But on the other hand I'd like to add that I've had appointments cancelled by the practice due to staff illness, which demonstrates that not every day goes according to plan. And for the vast majority of my appointments I've spent 10-15 minutes waiting in the waiting room. It seems perfectly fine for the practice to expect people to wait endlessly for their dentists. I don't think it happened because they can't manage their schedules properly (though I can't rule it out) but more likely because sometimes we have to make adjustments for things around us. But apparently this only goes in one direction. Yuo're expected to wait for them but woe betide they should have to wait a few minutes for you. Obviously there's a huge shortage of dentists in the UK at the moment and this practice, probably the same as many others, is what you get when a business' primary concern is how to rinse customers for the most money, not how to treat them well.

Negative experience: FRAUDSTERS AVOID Partner made enquiry regarding appointment only to be found the first appointment is an NHS appointment then from then onwards she would have to pay £25+ a month to stay with them. Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you feel the way you do and would like to clarify a few important points regarding our policies and procedures.
Firstly, when appointments are booked out short notice and failure to attend policy is always clearly articulated. We also discuss your options to progress onto our membership plan should you wish to once you are dentally fit. The invitation to join our membership plan is just that, an invitation.
We do have an answerphone service in place, and all messages are checked very regularly to ensure that patient enquiries are addressed as promptly as possible. We always encourage patients to leave a voicemail if they are unable to get through, as our team will respond as soon as they can. We also have email, and social channels which are monitored several times a day.
The appointment we believe you are referring to was scheduled outside of our usual hours and was missed. As part of our policy, a single missed or short-notice cancellation results in the loss of a patient’s place at the practice. This policy was absolutely communicated at the time of booking to ensure full understanding and acceptance of the booking.
We understand that cancellations can sometimes be necessary, which is why we encourage patients to contact us as soon as possible by leaving a message on the answer phone, emailing us directly or indeed sending a message from the website contact form.
It thus seems rather unfair to label us 'rude, negligent and fraudlent' when it is your partner that missed the appointment.

Fantastic experience: Oh my gosh I love this dentist, been coming 14 years. I have recently had teeth whitening, 2 front teeth repaired and getting a new nightguard as I grind my teeth really bad-super happy with all of it. All the staff are amazing especially my dentist Mina-shes so caring and understanding of my anxieties and has done an amazing job. Fantastic experience: Well what can I say, these guys are pretty impressive. I called late in the day with tooth ache and they got me in within 2 hours. The receptionist Lisa was so nice and put me at ease cus I’m a bit of a wreck when it comes to seeing the dentist. The dentist (DrFuz) was thorough and explained what was going on and reassured me it was sortable. I am not the best patient and I felt cared for and the treatment was very very well done. Fantastic experience: Brilliant dental care practice operated by individuals who care. The reception staff are very accommodating and the care staff are very knowledgeable and professional. On a side note, this is pretty much the only place in the UK where my names are pronounced correctly. The y must have a way to record the phonetics on the client accounts as it is across the whole staff! A potential way to improve the customer experience even further is to provide online appointment mangement system or by email ;-)

Fantastic experience: The dental practice overall is pretty good. I tend to see Dr Adeel Mughal, he's a great guy, very thorough, patient and polite. He's also very easy going yet professional and is always is very calm and makes me feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Greedy money grabbers. Dentist cancels 3 times . Due to serious illness we cancel 36 hours upfront and get charged. Avoid people it's money orientated not care
Negative experience: Terrible dentist. If I could leave zero stars I would! Phoned to cancel an appointment over 24 hours prior due to my car needing emergency repairs and me being unable to get there. Was informed quite rudely myself and my children would now be ‘struck off’ their practice. First cancellation. We have however had numerous appointments cancelled in the past by the practice themselves. Also did not appreciate the grilling you get with each appointment, ‘children are not allowed squash’, ‘no sweets or chocolate’ despite my children’s teeth being in very good health. Everything in moderation! Have moved to a great dentist now who are a lot more competitively priced for their hygienist appointments too. A little customer care goes a long way!!

At Pennington Dental, we have a 48-hour cancellation policy in place to help manage appointments effectively for all of our patients. We do understand that emergencies, like car issues, can happen, and we’re sorry if the situation wasn’t handled with the understanding we aim to provide.

Just to clarify, we do not remove children from the NHS due to missed or late-canceled appointments. We follow a 'was not brought' pathway, with escalation to the local safeguarding team if appointments are continually missed, ensuring that children’s dental care is never compromised.
We regret if our health advice during appointments felt too strict. Our team shares guidance based on best practices for maintaining good dental health, but we recognize that everyone has their own approach, and we respect that.

Fantastic experience: Stacey and Zurine are lovely receptionists, they’re very understanding and patient with anyone that walks through the doors. My dentist is also quite lovely as i struggle with a severe anxiety disorder and he allows me to make myself comfortable and fixes any issues that arise.Will be returning soon enough!
