Fantastic experience: I had an emergengy appointment with Bilin Benny as i had lost a filling and part of my tooth , i had not seen Bilin before he was kind and thoughtful and kept checking with me that i was coping ok or whether i needed to have an injection if was to much for me. All in all a great experience for me .

Negative experience: Urmston Branch; my appointment time was 10.25. I arrive in time only to be told by a disgruntled receptionist that they had changed it to 11 a.m. Came back at 11 a.m. and waited till 11.30 before being seen. I needed an Xray and was told the Xray machine was not working and I would have to come back. Beth Hamilton

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend for children's appointments : My son's been with the practice since around October 2024, we've had one appointment - that was in October. We've also had 4 cancelled appointments. I'm now waiting to have a call back from my missed call to rearrange yet again. This is extremely frustrating especially when they're being cancelled not far from the booking. Today I had a text cancelling tomorrow's appointment?? I've been given various reasons, one was dentist was on annual leave. The other 2 the dentist had left the practice... Be interesting to see what that one will be... My first appointment was already not a good sign with being 45 minutes late and we're talking about a 5 minute appointment for a child under 3. Seems to be an ok practice for adults looking at reviews, there seems to be a trend of contrast cancellations for under 3's. As a parent with a busy full time work schedule, you don't realise the impact you're having.

Fantastic experience: Excellent trauma informed care during the dentist appointment/procedures. They showed great care, compassion, & checked in with me throughout the different stages of the appointment.

Fantastic experience: I called the dentist for a last minute appointment due to being in slight pain, I was squeezed in no problem and given antibiotics on the same day. Brilliant service and Ross is so lovely and calming m, I explained I'm not keen on dentists and he measured me straight away. Happy he's my new dentist.

Negative experience: Bit of an ordeal here. Every appointment I've ever made for myself and my children gets cancelled - a text about 4 to 6 weeks prior to the appointment, informing me that the appointments have had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and I must ring to rearrange. There hasn't been even one appointment since we joined that they haven't cancelled on their end. When you ring up to re-book, they NEVER answer the phone. I mean this quite literally. You have to physically go in to rearrange. It's first world problems for sure but it's just a bit frustrating. We stick here though because I know we're fortunate to have an NHS dentist placement at all! The dentists are at least very nice when you can finally get an appointment locked in and have been very good with my youngest, who is autistic.

Fantastic experience: All the staff at Smile, Urmston are courteous, very helpful and always put you at ease. I see Safi & Eddie for checkups, hygiene who are both very helpful and professional. I recently attended a consultation with Selina to discuss teeth whitening and she explained everything in great detail. I can't express my thanks enough to them all and all the staff, it makes me SMILE

Fantastic experience: We are so lucky to have an NHS dentist but, more importantly, have friendly and knowledgeable dentists who look after my family every year - I visited Eddie yesterday who was absolutely brilliant and sorted out a very problematic wisdom tooth filling with supreme skill and care - I also had my teeth cleaned and all in all I couldn’t be happier with Smile. I would also like to pay the reception staff a huge thank you for their polite and friendly approach to me although getting through on the telephone can still be a bit tricky

Positive experience: I found the Hygenist very nice. I thought it would it would hurt . But the treatment didn’t hurt at all. But the cost of going to the Hygenist is expensive. So as I am a pensioner I will not be able to attend a Hygenist appointment every six months like the dentist

Fantastic experience: Attended the surgery yesterday for an emergency appointment and was treated by a very attentive dentist (who was new to me) but was so very helpful, attentive and polite. She provided a temporary treatment to alleviate my problem while the very obliging and pleasant reception staff member helped to rearrange my checkup appointment so I could also receive the necessary treatment to repair my damaged rear tooth at a later date at the same time as my appointment. Huge thank you to you all for seeing me so quickly and helping to deal with the problem in such a professional and efficient manner.

The nurse and receptionist were lovely and friendly too. We really appreciated still being seen, despite being a bit late due to unexpected traffic. We travel from Worsley because we like the service offered here.

Negative experience: A dental practice that focuses on what services it can sell you rather than general dentistry and oral health. Doesn't seem interested if you don't want cosmetic dentistry.

Negative experience: Disappointed!!! Feel totally let down! , came to this dentist seeing Jawad, had all the discussions, referred to others elsewhere- done, saw the hygenist twice (who’s very good by the way) arranged future appts. Only to turn up today and see that Jawad has left. Treatment plan back to zero. Having to seek alternative dentist group. Not impressed. This is a reflection on Jawad, not the staff who are generally lovely.

Fantastic experience: I had my first check up and clean here recently and have to say each member of staff from Issy at reception, Gabriela and Cora for my check up and finally Eddie and Amnah for my clean were exceptional. I felt at ease from minute one and found them all easy to talk to. They made my entire experience very enjoyable and I’m looking forward to seeing them all again in 6 months :)

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment today a small filling in front tooth and a large filling in a back tooth. I was worried to say the least.I had an appointment with Eddie bang on time . I can only describe this experience as the best ever I’m not a fan of dentists I’m not a good patient but I can honestly say I felt no pain with the injection or treatment and although he told me I could feel some pain after once the anaesthetic wore off but there was little if any discomfort . I’m so grateful.

Fantastic experience: Joined this practice recently as quite close to home and my previous dentist had left. So far the appointments have been good. Reminders and forms are texted and emailed via reception who are very efficient.

Negative experience: Worst ever dental surgery as they on their own mistakes rescheduled the appointments. They have no value for time when someone is late even a minute they don’t attend but they keep patients waiting for long like half an hour and tell them that dentist can’t see you because it’s always receptionist mistake she tick off in the web the patient worst receptionist ever

Fantastic experience: I had composite bonding done with Zohaib Akbar and had a really pleasent experience. Zohaib was very professional, talked me through what he was doing and took his time (running late as I had a bar at the back of my teeth which proved some difficultly and he had to start one of the teeth again) but didn’t rush, still took his time and did an amazing job. A very good experience form someone who isn’t fond of dentists and was in the chair for 2 hours!

Eddie, Ross and the beautiful Issy deserve more than 5 stars. They don’t make me feel stupid or silly. Their patience knows no limits. If you’re lucky enough to be on their books, don’t mess them about. Protect your precious place. Be kind when you have to wait. Everyone who works there is in it for the right reasons. You’re in very safe hands.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding service! After a part of my old composite filling chipped off between my front teeth, I contacted Smile, who were able to see me quickly for an appointment. Zohaib Akbar, my dentist, was outstanding. I was given time to discuss with him what had happened and what I wanted. He & his dental technician were careful to colour match the new filling and he was incredibly careful & conscientious, especially as front teeth are quite a big deal! I was made to feel comfortable throughout, experienced no discomfort & was consulted throughout as to the progress and asked whether I was happy with the way it looked & felt. Small tweaks were done according to my requests. The results are fantastic. It's neat, even, smooth, matched colourwise perfectly & looks incredible. I have to say, after having had a composite filling between my two front teeth for over 30 years, this is the best they have ever looked! Huge thank you to Zohaib & his technician!

The dentist, Ross, made the whole experience a good one, and H was surprised when the tooth came out as they'd been expecting a lot more pain. If they were taking NHS adult patients I would move to Smile Urmston myself.

Positive experience: Went for a check up yesterday and my appointment was at 9am. At 9am we were waiting for the shutters to open and the dentist arrived onto the car park. By the time I actually got seen it was 9.10-9.15. Not much of a wait but I don’t think they should offer appointments at 9 when that is not going to happen, especially when people choose early appointments for a reason e.g. before work. Also it means there is already a backlog of people in the small waiting room. The dentist himself was very professional and staff are helpful so no complaints there. I have regularly been waiting at that time so unfortunately it wasn’t a one off, else I’d not have mentioned it. Would have rated 5 stars otherwise.

Positive experience: Happy with the dentist I saw, but in terms of the admin my expereinces have been very poor. I first tried to register in November. I had an app booked for December for my daughters and couldn't be seen on the same day I rearranged but the next appointment was March, which was cancelled. I tried to call and rearrange. Left a voicemail. Months later out of the blue, I had a text to confirm an appointment in May. They had remembered my preference for Monday which was fantasic, but no call to set it up just a text and a remainder to complete my health forms. I arrived at the dentist to be told my appointment had been cancelled, that they had messaged me on mobile and email. I had no notification. I feel bad for the staff as the inadequent technology/systems are making their jobs million times harder. With annoyed paitents getting automated messages, but not the cancellations. I also repeartdley get asked to complete the medical forms on message which I have completed 3 times. The Xray also took 3 goes to get right. Perhaps an issue with the tech generally here?

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience from start to finish. Jawaad was excellent throughout my treatment, from explaining the process, to carrying out the treatment and after care. I had teeth whitening and composite bonding done - The results are exceptional. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Ross was genuinely fantastic. I have a severe phobia of all dental treatment & usually require sedation for even minor procedures. Ross was extremely fast, gentle & incredible at putting an absolute nightmare patient (total wimp!) like myself at ease. Multiple fillings & an amazing thorough scale / clean done & dusted in no time, absolutely painless. Lots of explanation & reassurance given. Highly recommend for any anxious or phobic patients. 10/10

Positive experience: First time seeing the new dentist assigned to me at this practice. I wasn’t impressed with his attitude or service, It was very rushed to the point where I asked him do I get up now as he was posturing that he was done even though it didn’t seem that he started apart from a little bit of tooth sealer. I will be asking the practice can they assign me a different dentist, I have never had a problem with any other dentist and gelled with them. Other patients may get along with him but it’s a no from me.

Fantastic experience: Having not visited a dentist for over 15 years after a traumatic event. There are no words of praise that would be good enough for my dentist Mohammed. He took time to explain everything. He understands my fears and today fixed a horrible filling on my front tooth that I have hated for many years. At first I was unsure on how it looked because I had forgotten what my real front teeth used to look like. WOW. I have my old teeth back and I cant stop looking admiring them. I don't think I have ever given a review for anything. All the staff are polite and kind. Five stars You guys for helping to give me my confidence in dentistry back. I got my smile back literally.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentist practice, great for nervous patients. Fitted me in for an emergency 15 mins before they closed on a Friday evening due to my filling falling out. When I returned to have a new one Dr Akbar was brilliant, kept asking for consent with everything he did, was very gentle and I didn’t even feel the needle for the anaesthetic. Put me at ease massively when I’m not a fan of the dentist!
