Negative experience: My last 2 appointments I’ve been rang up and they cancelled last minute. The 1st time it was 2 months and now I’m seeing the hygienist they say april!! I mean that’s nearly half a year and they think this is acceptable and ok to do! Update: un-registering NHS patients without any warning whatsoever . Also stealing money by cancelling appointments that they forced you to pay upfront for but never seeing through the appointments just saying you missed the rescheduled appointment which was actually them cancelling at short notice. This dentist needs to be exposed.

We are sorry we were not able to see you for your appointment. However, you are more than welcome to discuss the issues you have with the practice manager. It is not that the practice doesn't want to provide the best possible care for its patients. The issue is lack of dentists within the NHS sector nationally. Please read below

This is having a direct impact on patient care. This is due to factors beyond the control of the practice and needs fundamental reforms to the NHS contract for the situation to improve. We are one of the few practices in the area still providing NHS dentistry. However, we are not able to look after all the patients due to above reasons. Please note that under the NHS dental contract, there is no need for the practice to serve a 3 month written warning for deregistering patients. If you have any doubt regarding any financial issues, please contact the practice manager to discuss your concerns.

Fantastic experience: I walked in to this dental clinic in absolute agony and fear with a severely infected and swollen mouth. The NHS could not help and turned me away, but this clinic didn’t, they were so kind, helpful and understanding. I can’t praise this clinic highly enough. Thank you DJ and Bella.

Negative experience: My wife and I joined this practice 18 months ago and have been thoroughly disappointed by the service received by them particularly the receptionists who seem to be aggressive in their attitude and uninterested in the clients needs. The dentists seem to be profit driven only offering the most expensive solutions to resolve problems. Their accounting appears dubious at best and we even received a bill for services not paid for several months later even though the dentist gave us slips detailing the amount to be paid after treatment on the appointment day. I have now deregistered from this practice and would advise it isn't used. There is no NHS option here anyway and the Private care is expensive.

Fantastic experience: True an honest review. I have seen Dr Sarah for over a year as wanted vaneers actually due to my fear of dentist. I thought it was simple process but learned that it would be long process. First to straighten teath, change old fillings before getting veneers. Dr Sarah is kind and considerate her nurses especially Jess who i have a lot to thank for are lovely. Yes I've had waiting because running over, yes I've had changes. I'm still waiting for things to be done and can't believe I'm actually doing this prior to actually being happy, however I have seen that if anything your not happy with, it is dealt with immediately. So after finally getting to stage to have veneers fitted I was told they hadn't arrived. The temporary ones I had kept coming of, on one weekend they got a dentist in to put back one that had come off. I saw different dentist over a period of weeks because temps kept coming loose. I then found out the veneers had arrived but Dr Sarah was not happy with them. After some thought although upset I realised she had actually done the best by me. I had vaneers fitted about 3, weeks ago. I was happy because so natural looking. Unfortunately over weekend one as come off. I was given appointment Monday, unfortunately the dentist who was going to re fix was running very late so another dentist fixed it and I will see Dr Sarah Wednesday as again unfortunately she only does 3 days. I'm not happy with the fix but appreciate that it's on. I also need one of the previous fillings looking at due to some pain. I get how people feel because I was angry and upset about all the let downs, and all the times I've gone back because of issues. Jess is amazing I must say and each time she has told me don't worry we will get this sorted and it has been. Although I'm now waiting again to see Dr Sarah I actually understand that we all respond differently to procedures, things can and often do go wrong for reasons that are beyond our control, however I think that regardless the team want you to come away with exactly what you want. I know my issues will be addressed and I will feel much better. I don't want to be negative because it's not always anyone's fault, knowing Dr Sarah was not happy with my first veneers sent proves she knows herself how you want to look. I will add another review after I'm finally happy with all the treatment so yes I've been upset and though what am I doing i should change dentist, but actually give them time to fix things because I know they happy when you are. Don't go away and vow never to go back tell them how you feel, let them get it right.

Fantastic experience: I have seen Yaman & Janae the last couple of visits, they really put your mind at ease by answering any questions you have , highly professional & trustworthy, Yaman also gave me great advice that prompted me to make a GP appointment and discovered couple of cysts in my tonsils, I've had them removed I'm grateful for the care shown as I have previously been unhappy seeing someone different every visit, the practise has dramatically changed for the positive , with staff as dedicated as Yaman & Janae it makes it an enjoyable experience again .

Negative experience: £75 down and all I left with was a cut mouth from having an X-ray plate that was clearly too big for me repeatedly jammed into my mouth. I am tiny, I cannot change the size of my mouth no matter how many times it’s shoved into me and how many times the dentist keeps telling me to just bite it. Feel like I’ve been assaulted

Positive experience: I’m currently in the process of having Invisalign treatment which so far has been a fantastic service. All the staff have been exceptional. The only advise I would give is I paid for my full Invisalign treatment up front and in full before I commenced any treatment and was not entitled to free teeth whitening at the end which will be an additional expense for me on top however, if I had attended 1 week later on the open day I would have received whitening as part of the package. So my advise is to wait for the open day as your whitening at the end will be included and not an additional cost at the end. Great service though by passionate and skilled dentist, couldn’t be happier with that element of care.

Fantastic experience: I do have an NHS dentist and unfortunately they were unable to extract my tooth without extreme pain. I was given antibiotics, I was scared to return and thought I would go private for the first time. So pleased I did, I had an appointment this morning, I was seen on time by Sara and Carly. I was immediately put at ease. I was terribly anxious, I wanted to be under anesthetic but the dentist said she would manage to extract it then and there. I just want to thank both Sara and Carly. Fantastic experience: Today I saw Yaman and his dental nurse Praneet They both were very friendly and put me at ease as I am a very nervous patient. He explained a procedure I could have and was very kind whilst doing it. They spoke to me without making me feel overwhelmed or patronised (which i have felt both before, whilst seeing a dentist at this practice) Thank you to them both Friday 30th I had second appointment with DJ and her nurse Sarah today. They were both so kind. D.J told me exactly what she was going to do and what she was doing and reassured me all the way through. Negative experience: Went here for an emergency dental appointment which I was then told they will refer me to the hospital for treatment as they didn't feel comfortable doing the extraction themselves. I then sat in the waiting room filling out referral forms which I handed in myself straight after. I ring up after 5 months of not hearing anything to then be told no referral had been sent anywhere and I will have to go through the whole process of getting an emergency appointment again. Absolutely shocking.

Fantastic experience: Visited today, with 3 children. After popping in yesterday & registering them. Appointment was late, but no fuss. After seeing the dentist, I am pleased with the service. The dentist was lovely with my 3 nervous children (7, 3 and 4 months). Super chuffed to be able to register them and be seen so promptly after no dentist for 18 months. Easy on site parking. Fantastic experience: Fantastic, i don't like going to dentist, however i needed a root canal job. or tooth out. Anshul explained thoroughly both procedures and discussed my options and cost, and let me choose what action to take. very patiently let me choose . We went ahead with the canal job and cap. Anshul and his assistant Sarah over the 4 visit procedure were so professional explaining everything step by step even letting me watch the cap being prepared on site . fascinating. Thank you very much both of you . Believe it or not everyone i did not feel a thing , and actually enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: I have recently visited for a tooth extraction and a root canal, and have had nothing but good experiences. All the staff have been so nice and friendly, and my dentist Anshul has done an amazing job. Both procedures were pain free during, and afterwards too. Fantastic experience: I have just been to See the Dentist called DJ and her nurse called Jay. These two were fantastic. I am a very nervous patient but both of them put me at ease and DJ performed a fantastic job of removing two of my teeth. One at the back and one at the front. Negative experience: I haven’t been back to that dentist. They’re a disgrace. When I was a patient I had an x-ray in the month of January, I was told everything was fine. I started to get tooth pain and I was told I had nerve pain. In the month of March I had to go home sick from work. I managed to get an emergency appointment with another dentist there. I was feeling really ill by then, which was in a matter of an hour. She looked at my x-ray and asked if I was told I had an abscess. I hadn’t. My throat was so swollen the dentist couldn’t see anything; she told me if my throat swelled anymore I would have to go to A and E because my airway will become blocked. So not only did I lose £600 in wages, I could have died. The manager couldn’t have cared less. So no, my advice is to avoid the place like the plague. I’ve only given it 1 star so I can post this; I wouldn’t give it any stars.

Fantastic experience: Had a dentist appointment today with Shyan, Jasmine and Praneet (sorry for spelling) for my 2 children and I just want to say how amazing they were with my youngest, who has sensory issues and is on the autism waiting list. All of them, especially Shyan, was so patient with her and took it a pace that suited her, and helped her feel comfortable, whilst also explaining along the way so she understood what was happening for hwr to process it. They also helped me by giving me advice as it is as struggle and a fight every day with getting her to brush her teeth. It made a (usually) stressful visit less stressful,and a child who didn't end up melting down as she can't usually cope with a visit at the dentist. Thank you so much, from a very greatful parent.

Fantastic experience: My husband was seen within 2 hours of me calling this amazing dental practice (cracked his tooth in half and was in a lot of pain).. From the Receptionists, to the Dentist Sara, and the dental nurse Carly, my husband received A***** treatment. Fantastic experience: As an incredibly anxious patient when it comes to anything dental, my stomach was already in knots knowing I had an appointment. Fantastic experience: DJ all the way! I'm a very nervous dental patient. DJ and her dental nurse Jay saw all four of us today. I'm currently having issues with a root canal and had a bit of a shock at my consultation yesterday, so i was a bag of nerves today!. DJ was very kind asking me how I got on etc and took a lot on time to speak to me in such a lovely common sense way about my plans. This has calmed me a lot. DJ also explains everything to each of my children and makes sure they understand what she is telling them. She really is an asset to the company. (Which is why I asked to be transferred back to her care when we had previously been switched to another dentist! ). Excellent for children and the nervous!

Negative experience: I Had treatment done because I had a hole in the back of my front tooth, so I had an emergency appointment as it was causing me pain, on the day of treatment they completely numbed my mouth and filled the hole which I thought great at least it's sorted. 2 days later I woke up in severe pain, I've had to have the paramedics out to give me morphine because the pain being that severe and the whole of my face and lips are completely swollen to the point I can barely eat or talk. so I got in touch with another emergency health centre who saw me straight away and on that appointment they have told me that they have completely killed my tooth which has now lead to an abscess and I'm now on strong antibiotics. I am far from happy!

Negative experience: I'd put 0 stars if I could. They have completely ripped my elderly mother off. She goes in for one procedure and comes out with something else being done, which she didn't want doing and costs a lot more. This happened several times. The last time, she went in expecting a procedure costing £400 to then be told she needs to pay £1000 and the treatment she needs will cost £5000 in total and be done another day. I took my mum to my dentist who advised that she doesn't need anything doing unless she really wants an invasive dental procedure doing. I've saved my mum being conned out of £5000. Despicable.

Fantastic experience: After two years of cancellations, I finally got to see Shyam and was so impressed. He replaced an old grey filling so quickly and painlessly with a new white one, that I booked him to have all the other old ones replaced. Four visits later, I can now laugh and show off a mouthful of white teeth again! The whole staff are friendly and helpful and there is a lovely buzz around the Centre. Positive experience: Naturally wary of all Medical intervention and especially the costly dental practices now, I have been pleasantly relieved to be under the care of Peter. He is very thoughtful and professional. My feelings stand that NHS dental should be available for ALL and not to use mercury is our human right. I paid on a 0% for 4 white fillings. Dentistry is now big business but our children and all People have a right to not be exposed to excessive mercury and fluoride. That’s my opinion. This dentist practice is good and Peter is a find.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a couple of visits to West Country Dental this month, and I have always had positive experiences. The receptionists have always been kind and understanding. My dentists, Shyam and the dental nurses, yasmin and genn, are efficient and work hard. I’ve had two composite fillings recently and not experienced any discomfort or pain. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: DJ one brilliant dentist. Her professional, caring persona made me feel at ease and safe. I had bad tooth ache and thought I may need to have the tooth extracted. Following careful examination DJ confirmed this . She took an x- ray then showed me my previous x- rays and explained how things had deteriorated . DJ removed the wisdom tooth so skillfully that I wasn’t aware that the procedure over. She went through the aftercare process. The gum has healed and no more pain . Thank you so much DJ . Fantastic experience: Upon deciding to go private and book a first appointment here after having an issue with my tooth, the team booked me in with Dr Sara and Carly. Unfortunately my tooth had cracked causing an infection. I was given the options for the next step and given all the information regarding pros, cons, recommendations and a quote for each procedure. Visiting the dentist has never been a favourite of mine due to past experiences. Dr Sara and Carly have completely turned that around. They are gentle, caring and very professional. I have since booked in with them to have any fillings renewed. The team on reception are polite and professional also. I also bought over the counter toothpaste in which the price was on par with other chemists. I highly recommend using this practice and choosing Dr Sara and Carly. If you’re happy to go private you certainly get what you pay for. I am unsure who owns the practice however I’m extremely impressed with the entire outfit. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Took my 3 sons today and they saw Shyam & Yasmin. Both really lovely , my youngest was nervous and a bit tearful but Shyam was very kind. Fantastic experience: What a great experience, Candy on reception is really helpful and welcoming. A special thank you to Shaym the dentist, he really does some great work, best I've ever had. All the dentists I've been too in the past say "your teeth are fine" and send you on your way and don't give you options of what you can do like extra deep cleaning and polishing etc. Shaym has been able to fix the holes in my teeth that previous dentists have over looked or ignored. Fantastic experience: My 8 year old twins had a brilliant check up experience at Westcountry dental today with Shyam and Holly. They were so welcoming and kind and the whole experience they actually really enjoyed and they really put the girls at ease. Highly recommended. Fantastic experience: After having all my appointments continuously cancelled for over two years, Dr. Shyam brought my faith in this practice back. After a check up appointment this week, I had my deep cleaning session just two days after, where Dr. Shyam cleaned up with diligence all the plaque from my teeth and gum pockets.
