Fantastic experience: I am extremely happy about the treatment I have had so far at this practise. A breath of fresh air in comparison to the practice I used to be at! Very professional and friendly and both dentist Rishi and his nurse( sorry I can’t remember the male nurses name) went over and beyond to put me at ease about a procedure I was worried about. Just top standard of care, I can’t thank them enough!

Fantastic experience: I was made welcome by the member of the reception team with directions on where to wait. The hygienist was very thorough and dealt with any problems very efficiently including my ‘clunky’ jaw and praised me for how I have cleaned my teeth. The dentist made a thorough inspection and I passed with extreme relief on my part and smiles from her. The whole experience kept me calm and and relieved. Not easy to do. Well done everyone.

Positive experience: After 2 weeks of spreading pain from a long established gum abscess, I e-mailed the surgery first thing in the morning after another bad night’s sleep and soon after they’d opened I’d had a call from one of the receptionists offering me an appointment that afternoon. After a discussion of the situation and my options with the always friendly dentist Rishi Naraidoo, the he’d professionally extracted my troublesome tooth and I was on course for being free of my head and neck pains. I was very grateful for the surgery’s very prompt response to my deteriorating dental situation. Nick.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. Rishi is very helpful and gives great advice to take care of teeth. He is also very careful when doing the cleanups. Assistants are very nice and do their best to divert the nerves. Excellent!

Negative experience: Awful experience, attended for an emergency appointment for broken tooth, I saw Rishi, who immediately informed me that the broken tooth was infected, he then gave me 2 options, leave with a course of antibiotics, or he could "Attempt to extract the tooth" !! He also told me "The likelyhood of the remaining piece of tooth breaking was very high" meaning I wluld then need to attend a hospital dentist for a "Surgical extraction" Ive never been offered an extraction whilst having an infected tooth, because this could cause a serious infection or sepsis !! He also informed me that if the extraction failed, I could be left in pain, so I opted to leabe with antibiotics, however I now have mo way forward as from my understanding I need a referal to a hospital dentist for a surgical e traction, Im in agonising pain, unable to sleep, eat and barely able to drink ! Avoid this dentist at all costs !!!!!

She made me feel at ease & pain free .I then had a check up with Rishi who also was very professional & did a check up . Fantastic experience: I had my dental examination a few months ago with Jessica and then my hygiene appointment today with Helen. I normally feel anxious at the dentist but all staff members were really friendly and straight away made me feel at ease. Everything was explained thoroughly and I'm looking forward to continuing my dental plan and to feeling confident with my smile again

I have previously been nervous of the dentist having experienced some rough treatment but no longer feel nervous as I have always experienced excellent treatment at Wessex house and consequently feel more confident now.

Jessica, who carried out the procedure, was brilliant - she was so professional and made me feel completely at ease. I was really happy with the result and the overall care I received. Fantastic experience: Dr Scott was absolutely brilliant. I am so nervous when it comes to going to the dentist I actually did not think I would turn up for my first appointment. My first appointment I was shaking and nervous sweating in the waiting room. A lovely dental nurse came to collect me from the waiting room and she was so reassuring. From that moment everything was again more amazing. My anxiety about going to visit a dentist is still there but massively reduced to Dr Scott’s calmness and wonderful ability to communicate the work that needed doing. I had not been to a dentist for 28 years as I was just so scared, now feel safe and fully supported with my anxiety issues at the practice.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Wessex House for a number of years. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. I see Naomi for my Hygiene appointments and Rishi for dental appointments, both of them are very professional and provide a good service. Recently started having GBT instead of a regular clean, much more comfortable! If you are looking for a dental practice I would really recommend registering with them.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Wessex House highly enough. I had a lot of anxiety about visiting the dentist prior to joining this practice, and I now feel so much better about going. The staff are all kind and non judgemental, and the dentists are excellent. The service is thorough and professional. I actively look forward to my visits with the hygienist! Excellent customer service all round, I recommend to all my friends and wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Fantastic experience: I came to see Naomi today for Guided Bio Film therapy, it was a pleasant experience, I am a nervous patient but Naomi and her nurse Clare put me at ease and reassured me, really pleased I had it done. I come regularly to see Rishi, who over the years has done a few treatments for me which have all been great. Again, he was very reassuring and calming throughout the procedures. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and efficient from reception through to dental treatment room. My filling was completed quickly with no fuss and no pain. Can highly recommend Rishi and the practice. He had good music playing in the background too!

Negative experience: My wife came to this dentistry with a toothache. An X-ray showed that a sac of pus had formed under the dental canals. The dentist suggested extracting the tooth. As a result, after 1 hour of suffering, the dentist managed to crumble and pull out the top of the tooth, but the entire problematic part of the tooth (roots) and pus remained inside the gum. During the tooth extraction, 5 injections anaesthesia were given (which cannot be done so many times). A month later, my wife still feels numbness in her lip and pain when touching it. This means that the nerve was most likely damaged during the work or by an excessive number of injections. The work was not done. The cause of the pain was not eliminated. After the so-called treatment, the cheek and neck became swollen and the pain increased significantly. I do not understand why you start work when you do not have the necessary tools and knowledge for successful implementation. After their job, they offered to make an appointment for a consultation in 5 days. But after the manipulations, my wife spent the night in the hospital from unbearable pain. We had to go to another dental clinic next day to get the job done right, because this dental clinic did not help, but worsened the situation and frankly harmed us. The dentist we visited later told us that we should not have been given five injections in a short time. We are planning to sue the dental clinic. I do not recommend going there because you will have to redo everything after them or, as in our case, undergo treatment for the harm.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday 11 march 25 we went for our 6 month check up it was the best check up we have ever had he was very thorough and helpful his assistant was great.although we have used this practice for over 10 years previous check ups have never been like this.

Fantastic experience: Saw Dr Michala for my check up today and couldn't be happier with the treatment I received beginning to end of my appointment. She has an extremely informative and caring way. Friendly and communicative reception team who answered all of my enquiries quickly. Relaxing atmosphere as soon as you enter the building. I will definitely return and would recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Attended yesterday as an urgent via 111. I admit, my teeth are a mess. From the off i was treated as one of the regular patients, polite and informative staff throughout and then having to deal with a difficult extraction which was painless. If i was able to financially i would without a doubt be registering with this practice.

I have been anxious about visiting the dentist for years and years and everyone I spoke to was incredibly reassuring and brilliant at their job. I almost fell asleep while he was fixing my teeth.. he is very friendly and understanding.. he explained everything very well, how the treatment would be carried out, paying attention to the smallest details... Fantastic experience: Date of visit 15/11/24.( New patient) I was really very anxious as it was my first time for treatment with a new dentist. I needed not to have had such a sleepless night worrying! I feel very stupid now because I was looked after so well by my fabulous team Dr.Jessica Scott and nurse Ellie. They understood my nervousness and immediately reassured me that I was going to be in safe hands. The treatment I received was quick and completely painless. Ellie was really lovely and kept reassuring me as the treatment progressed which was greatly appreciated. I have to visit again for a couple more longer appointments to prepare to have a gold crown fitting and I promise not to be such a baby next time! Having had such a good experience on my first visit has absolutely reassured me that I’m in very experienced and safe gentle hands. So I’m looking forward to my next appointment! Negative experience: Initially posted back in 2022 my review was then removed but following recent events I feel I have no option but to post it again and add to it. I first approached this dental practice back in October 2022. I was advised over the phone WHDP did not accept any patients on the NHS. I made it clear I wanted private treatment believing it to be of a better standard both in terms of quality of service treatment and materials. After spending nearly £2000 I had to return my denture due to it splitting a few months later. At this point my previous review had been removed as Sue the receptionist passed on certain information about my treatment to a nearby resident and in wanting my denture repaired I thought it best to remove said review. I eagerly returned my denture only for Sue to take it and hold it up the window behind her to see the crack. She did so in front of a mother and daughter who were stood right next to me. Furious with her I left the denture in her care and waited 3 days to collect. I did so then 3 months later the denture cracked again so I took it back only this time she took into a room for others to look at came back and took a repair fee from me. Again I collected 3 days later. I remind you I underwent treatment as a private patient and was charged private patient fees. When I collected my denture though clearly stated on the laboratory repair slip was NHS standard denture. Disgusted by this I emailed in to ask why had I been charged private fees for a NHS standard denture. Assurances came back from WHDP my denture was not NHS. A year on following a conversation with Dorset Police I learned another member of staff at this Practice Luke (the very gentile) had while I was actually waiting for my denture to be collected had phoned the Police. The Police did not tell me what conversation took place only that Luke was given very very little in the way of response and the call was terminated by the Police. Not knowing who Luke was until I looked at staff photos on line I quickly moved on and just got on with life. Until that is the denture cracked again. I emailed WHDP to ask if a third repair could be dealt with by WHDP. My email went no further than Luke who now made it clear to me WHDP were refusing to accept the repair as it was no longer a service WHDP could offer me. I was left flabbergasted. My denture needed to be repaired and I needed my denture in to save face at work. How could a supposed caring Dental Practice do this without any previous warning I asked myself. Anyhow I finally most thankfully, found a denture repair nurse only too happy to repair my denture and save the day week month and public face. The nurse did however repeat the denture was NHS standard both in terms of materials used and in appearance. I for one refuse to accept this is a Practice run to the standards expected of private care based on my experience. Following up on the comments posted by Wessex House Dental Practice at NO time since my review has been posted have WHDP attempted to contact myself. The confusion is mine not the Practices. There should not be any confusion given the clarity of my review in its entirety. My review is honest and based on my experiences with the staff at the Practice and stated on repair statements. The Police made me aware of Luke’s phone call and their swift response to it. There is no confusion about my having to find a qualified specialist to repair my denture give nearly all the Dental Practices in the area refuse to repair dentures not supplied by that particular practice. A fact your Practice is clearly aware of. There can be no confusion surrounding your clear refusal to repair my denture without any prior notice given or my state of mind given the worrying predicament WHDP’s refusal to repair put me in. Private treatment prices? Questionable behaviour by staff (one clearly acting above his station)? NHS standard materials? The confusion is mine believing private healthcare set standards.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient to the practice my first impression was relaxing with efficiency. From reception to medical staff the air is calm and reassuring. After my initial check up, I needed a filling which was so quick and totally painless. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Having just had an extraction performed by thomas I would like to say what a brilliant job he did for me, he was extremely informative and professional from start to finish. No dental appointment is particularly pleasant but thomas makes it so much easier. A mention also for the young lady working with him she was also exceptional.

Positive experience: I used to see Mr Jackson who was excellent and made going to the dentist just the best experience. The service has never been the same since he retired and I think it is all about profit rather than patient care. The service is very disappointing. One shout out however for receptionists who are helpful and efficient. Shame the dentists are not the same.

Fantastic experience: Today I had treatment for a broken tooth, a procedure that I have had many times in my long lifetime, and which I have always found to be a trial of endurance and sometimes painful. However, the treatment I received from Camilla and her assistant was first class: extremely professional, very efficient, polite and reassuring, helpful and, most importantly, very skilful and totally pain-free. I highly recommend this dental practice.

Positive experience: Had an issue with teeth just before christmas, couldnt see my usual dentist but no problem as was seen by Mr Woodhouse, he sorted problem with a temporary fix as I was concerned about what could happen over christmas. All was good over christmas, had an appointment to see Julia farmer in New Year, course of action agreed, though not cheap, but to date have no reason not to be confident with all past and present work. Fantastic experience: Excellent practice- without exception staff are friendly and welcoming. Both my dentist Julia Farmer and hygienist Selina Grana are kind and professional, and put me at ease. I’m so glad I chose Wessex House when we moved into the area. Update on this review: I had my second check up with Julia Farmer yesterday and received the same friendly, efficient service as last year. All of the staff are also friendly and efficient and appointments are always followed up promptly. All of my experiences both with the dentist and hygienist have been excellent.

I had an difficult extraction (I thought it was difficult anyway!!) and Luke held my hand throughout (poor thing) and the dentist was charming and very understanding of my nervousness. Fantastic experience: I think I have been seeing Rishi at Wessex House for about 2 years now. Last Wednesday for 3 difficult fillings and completed with a minimum of fuss. Fantastic experience: When I was younger I used to be so scared of going to the dentist that on one occasion after just phoning for an appointment I fainted and although I no longer have that severe dread of going to the dentist I find the bright modern surgery with its friendly staff and a super dentist is very reassuring.

Fantastic experience: Very well looked after by a new dentist who I had not met before. She explained very clearly what I needed to do myself and also as further treatment is needed went through in detail about the filling of a tooth. It was a thorough check up. All staff are very polite and helpful. I feel very lucky to be able to visit a dentist where one is looked after so well.

Fantastic experience: Rishi is the most amazing dentist. Personable, clearly loves his job and has a wicked sense of humour. The kids adore him and actually enjoy dentist trips because he's always honest with them, informative and funny. Receptionists are always helpful and happy and the surgery is clean, modern and set in a beautiful building.

Fantastic experience: I saw Julia Farmer today and she is amazing very approachable and extremely professional very relaxing experience . All the staff are very nice, I would recommend this practice if fact I have recommended it.

Fantastic experience: I attended as an emergency patient via 111 and Smile. On Tuesday 01 August 2023, a massive filling had fallen out of a lower left tooth, taking most of the tooth with it and leaving me in great discomfort. My dentist in Bridgwater could not see me until middle of Sept and suggested I call 111. There were no emergency appts left on that day - it was 345pm when I called - and they suggested I try again early on Weds 02 August. This I duly did and via 111 and Smile, Wessex House called me back at 9.00am and offered me an appt at 10.30am. Even although I was late to this appt - the rural roads and the pain not being conducive to punctuality! - I was seen by the best dentists that I have ever had. I was too out of it on pain killers to be polite enough to ask her name but her manner and skills and approach were all perfect. The dental assistant was brilliant too, putting me at my ease. Reception staff so very professional and courteous. Cant recommend highly enough. If I could afford to move to the catchment area for this practice, I would do so in a jjffy if it meant I could be t heir patient.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Wessex House Dental Practice.The dentists and hygienists are very professional, efficient and nice. Our family dentist, dr. Maisie Harper is fantastic and all her dental services provided to all of us were great.

Fantastic experience: The hygienist treated my 89 year old mother with care and gentleness so I can only praise the treatment she received. Like other users of this service however, I was shocked at the cost. I feel it too much to expect an 89 year old to pay £108 for a hygienist appointment.

Fantastic experience: I saw rishi naraidoo for fillings etc ,I’m a very nervous patient due to previous dental experiences some time ago . He put me at ease by telling me every step of the way what he was doing ,and some music as well to help me be more at ease with the procedure. Conveniently and very funnily the first song on was bob marley! Fantastic experience: After searching numerous dentist for my children due theirs going private and having no luck, I came across these guys, although it's a trek to get there, they are amazing and worth it, I have to get work done that has been suggested in first appointment but after that I can go onto a payment plan and the kids can then go under me on nhs which is a great relief. All staff we have met have been great, with myself being quite worried and scared they were reassuring and not at all rough. And with my son who has sensory problems, they explained bit by bit and what they were doing and asked his permission with fluoride before putting it on instead of shoving it straight on which is a trigger. Honestly you guys should be proud, amazing dental practice! Thank you so much, highly recommended, although not to much otherwise you'll be over run ha.

Fantastic experience: Very professional, caring and friendly team, from the receptionist to the dentist and the dental nurse. I was seen by Obioma Ukoha who carried out a comfortable and pain free extraction. She did a great job, she explained very well what was going on and I felt I was in good hands. I would highly recommend!!!

Both from a helpful and friendly reception to my dental care from George and currently Rishi Narraidoo. As someone who has had dental problems it is comforting to know I am in good hands.
