Fantastic experience: I am fearful and anxious of dentists due to a bad experience as a child. When I needed to have root canal my anxiety levels went through the roof. My husband didn’t think I’d go through with it. However I did attend and I am so glad I did. All the stories I had heard about made me very nervous but from the first appointment until my last blew those fears/anxieties away! The first appointment the dentist was brilliant, made me at ease, explained everything, talking me through each step. It was a long appointment but he made me feel so comfortable, time flew by. A lovely “bedside” manner, thank you. On the next 2 appointments I was less anxious and, again, the dentist was understanding, explaining each step, checking I was ok. They were both excellent in their approach, manner and were happy to stop if I needed them to. All the years of having to go the dentist (over 50 yrs)have been stressful, causing great anxiety for me and now with having this latest treatment both dentists have reduced those anxieties and stress! I feel I have “turned a corner “ now. Can’t thank them both enough and I know I will be able to cope much better now.

Negative experience: I have been a patient here for over 30yrs, the staff are always very friendly, and the new look waiting area is very upmarket and posh. However its now very expensive, I paid £79 for a check up which didn't include a clean, I was recommended to make a further appointment with the hygienist for this at another £79.I fear nnow that I will not be able to afford to look after my teeth as I used to.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Zulikha and Karishma for performing my in-chair whitening today. You were professional and a joy to talk to. I decided to go for the practice's teeth whitening procedure for an upcoming event. Overall the procedure took around 2 hours and was not daunting or painful at all. After the procedure Zulikha provided detailed guidance on the at home routine to follow and answered all my queries. I must not forget Karishma routinely vacuumed my teeth and got bossed around by Zulikha But all jokes aside I am really pleased with the instant results and glad I decided to go for the in-chair procedure that Thurmaston Dental Practice offer. They were really flexible in arranging my appointment at short notice. I would highly recommend Thurmaston Dental Practice and their team for anyone looking to whiten their teeth or for any other services they offer.

Fantastic experience: I decided to have my Invisalign treatment with my dental practice in Leicester. The information on Invisalign was very thorough and all questions and concerns I had were discussed in great detail, I was not coerced into making a decision straightaway and given ample time to make my decision. All paperwork was clear and concise. My dentist and all staff always made me feel comfortable and any concerns were explained and talked through. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Invisalign treatment in Leicester.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment at Thurmaston Dental Practice, which was two white fillings in at the same time. I was quite nervous for them but was put at ease instantly. The process itself was stress-free and painless, and a very fine experience, which seemed to be over quickly. Zee checked often if I was okay whilst performing the fillings. Zee and Zuzanna were both professional, very friendly and helped me feel very comfortable during the treatment. I highly recommend Thurmaston Dental and have been coming here for many, many years.

Fantastic experience: Had my appointment at the Thurmaston Dental Practice Leicester the other day with DR Kaderbhai which I have been seeing for the past 20+ years. My visit to the practice is for treatment,checkups and seeing the Hygienist. They do other Dental procedures. Thurmaston Dental Practice Leicester is a Family run practice with DR Kaderbhai his son and daughter inlaw who are both Dental Practitoners and DR Kaderbhais wife also gives assistance in the practice. Like any first visit time to a Dentist you are nervous of the treatment you are going to receive. You are soon put at ease when explained to you on the way the treatment is to be done. When you go into Practice the staff on rececption are friendly and helpful also Emilia Treatment Coordinator. I can HIGHLY RECOMEND Thurmaston Dental Practice Leicester for all Dental care.

Fantastic experience: An excellent Dental Practice in Leicester , I would highly reccommend this practice to my friends and family. In fact, I already have! I have not been to a better practice in 55 years of visiting dentists. Just to add a bit of detail : I have been to many dentists over the years and Dr Kanderbhai is easily the best dentist I have ever seen. He expertly extracted a cracked molar and I had zero jaw soreness in the days following the treatment. Which has never happened before ( I've lost a few teeth!) . He got the tooth out so quickly and cleanly I couldn't believe it. He also managed the anesthesia expertly and is the only dentist who has explained why some people need more than others. He is very thorough but never makes you feel rushed and is always happy to answer questions. He explained clearly all my options for plates etc in detail and with examples of what they look like. I can say that I feel very privileged to have found such an experienced dentist who very obviously has a superb talent and skill for dentistry. The whole Practice is very friendly and helpful. I'm a very happy customer. When I say that it's very clearly the best Dentist and practice I've been to, I really mean it. Thankyou Thurmaston Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist in Leicester I suffer with anxiety and I absolutely dreaded going to the dentist for many years!! I used to absolutely shake in the chair. I was always ringing up NHS 111 for emergency appointments to fix my neglected teeth once or twice a year, i would only ever brave the dentist if I was in agony. Last year I decided enough is enough and joined Thurmaston as a member to get on the long journey of improving my oral health, restoring my smile, getting confidence in going to the dentist and ultimately feeling happy about my teeth again. I have had the full works at this dentist... Extraction, Root Canals, Fillings and I am due to have a crown and implant very soon (I will update once I have had those) Every single procedure has been painless and the team are always open and honest with pricing and options as they want what is best for you as a patient. I even had a deep filling which sadly turned into a root canal but Dr Margaret managed to fit me in as an emergency to get that tooth out of pain before I went on a 2 week trip. Thanks for restoring my faith in the dentist I just wish I made the decisions I have now 10 years ago but for anyone reading this it's never too late to start caring for your teeth Special mention for Dr Ajina who has performed Root Canal Treatment for 3 of my teeth and each time I've almost fell asleep in the chair it was that painless and the procedure flew by

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my treatment for dental implants. Having considered other dentists in Leicester, I decided to stick with Thurmaston Dental Practice as they had an implant specialist (Zahir). I was initially sceptical that I could have the procedure due to my receding bone, but Zahir discussed the full process with me, and following successful treatment, I am very pleased with my new teeth. I highly recommend Zahir and his team for implant surgery.

Fantastic experience: I started my Invisalign journey with the Thurmaston Dental Practice back in October 2023. I previously had braces as a teen and stopped wearing my retainers. This resulted in teeth movement so I felt like Invisalign was a better solution this time. Dr Kaderbhai was extremely knowledgable and answered all my questions. In total at the time, the cost was £3,250. This included a hygiene check up, multiple check up appointments to see the progress of my teeth, all my retainers, scans, final retainers and teeth whitening. I was given my plan and I was told it would take 12 months. I was progressing well with my retainers which resulted in me finishing my treatment at 9 months. However, at the end i realised there was a slight gap between one of my teeth. Dr Kaderbhai gave me a refinement plan which resulted in a few more retainers to give me my perfect smile. I was extremely grateful to have a dentist who understood and a short process of the above took place again, scans, new retainers etc. I am now towards the end of my treatment, where I am happy with my teeth. My attachments have been removed and I am now on the teeth whitening plan for 2 weeks. I will then receive my final permanent retainers upon my final check up (optional: I did decide to have tooth bonding (due to wear and tear) on one of my teeth - this came at an additional cost. Generally the Invisalign process was smooth. I chose Thurmaston Dental practice and not any other practice because of their flexible opening times. It is open past 5pm, which is a bonus when my work hours are 9-5pm. Invisalign is not a painful process but discipline needs to be had to ensure retainers are work for the 22 hours a day minimum during the treatment plan, and brushing teeth in between meals. It is definitely worth it!

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist and staff members! I had a real phobia of dentists and was putting off getting my teeth straightned and heard about invisalign. I met with Emilia who answered all of questions and nothing was too much trouble for her Including Dr kaderbhai . They put me at ease and had regular checkups to make sure everything was going smoothly. All in all 5 star experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I managed to find myself in abit of a mess after an abroad holiday. Snapped one front tooth to the nerve and luckily the other a good chunk but didn’t quite expose the nerve. On my return, I visited Thurmaston Dental practice and was met by Shrik. He put me at ease and walked me through the process. After having no previous dental work i was nervous but knew I was in good hands. The staff made sure I was booked in for treatment as soon as possible. Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Thurmaston Dental Practice for years now and I absolutely love it! Recently I broke a tooth and needed an extraction and a tooth implant. I was so scared that I started to get panic attacks even thinking of having such major procedures, but Dr Kaderbhai and his team have been amazing. They knew I was anxious and took such good care of me and the whole process wasn’t even as bad as I expected. They all made me feel so comfortable and at ease throughout all my appointments and they never made me feel stupid to feel such nerves. Dr Kaderbhai and Emilia explained everything to me in detail and always did right by me. I appreciate them so much. I have such a boost in confidence now that I have my smile back and it’s genuinely all thanks to the Thurmaston Dental Practice! Thank you!!!!!

Positive experience: I used to come here when it was NHS, then came back when it went private. At first, everything seemed ok, the Dentist was really nice and put me at ease and the Receptionists and Nurses plus Hygeinist were all lovely. Sadly, 2 weeks ago I developed agonising toothache out of nowhere, so booked an emergency appointment first thing the next day (Monday). All was ok, I was examined and had an x ray which showed no problems; it was thought that as I'm known to grind my teeth, I may have been doing that a lot more or harder than usual hence the pain. Was advised to take Paracetamol and had some desensitising paste applied and was on my way. Four days later I had to go back, to see a different Dentist as mine wasn't available. This time I was examined again which caused a lot of pain, the x ray was checked and I was advised I needed either a root canal with a crown, or an extraction and to book a 30 minute review with my own Dentist the following Monday and he could extract it in that appointment if deemed necessary. This was fair enough, but I was surprised nothing was done to help the pain as this was the only reason I went in for an emergency appointment. I could understand wanting to wait to see if the pain went away or if it localised to one specific tooth, and to not do anything hastily though. No desensitising paste was used this time, no idea why not. My appointment was booked, I asked 'will he have time to do the extraction if it's needed after' as 30 minutes didn't seem long, but was told yes, we've moved things around so he can. I was also told to eat something before I came in. My appointment slip said 20 minutes which I found strange, but I assumed that was just for the review. Monday comes, the Dentist has no clue he's meant to extract it (I was told the price also by the second Dentist but not given a treatment plan). Without x raying again, he decides maybe there's a tiny crack inside the tooth near/touching? a nerve and infection got in, so gives me antibiotics but still nothing for pain. By this time I am fuming, 8 days of extreme pain which is worsening, GPs both saying yes, Dentists CAN prescribe but only from a specific list and I've had to come off of life long, high risk monitored medication to take Ibuprofen as only that helps. I email in the list of medication Dentists are said to be able to prescribe from, asking if this is correct and a second Dentist was asked and he could give something, sadly that something was a medication I'd repeatedly said I can't have. No reason was given why one Dentist can prescribe and another can't. As I can't do the 1-10 pain scale due to medical reasons, I tried to explain of a surgery I had that is well known to be one of the most painful to recover from (as no kids and most explain it in relation to childbirth) and got told 'what does that have to do with toothache?' ... if you don't want to know how much it hurts, stop asking a pain scale and it's obvious it's a comparison of something known to be extremely painful, to illustrate this is worse. Receptionist said also that 'you seem to be very knowledgable, *incorrect title*, too much knowledge can be a bad thing ... yes, true but when the Dentist claims to be unable to help with the pain, there's a month wait for root canal and the extraction booked didn't happen and the pain is unbearable for someone with a high pain tolerence, and they are told to go to the GP, who claims he can't give anything but a Dentist CAN, you have to look into things to backup what you say. If questions are asked and answers not known, find out.

Negative experience: If you’re considering having Invisalign at Thurmaston dental practice in Leicester, here are a few things I wish I had known- 1. Their price for the comprehensive package does not include tooth extractions that may be necessary as part of the treatment. This will be an additional £250-£500. 2. The price they quote includes a £250 discount to allow them to use the patients photos for marketing on social media. If you do not wish for your photos to be shared you will have to pay an additional £250. 3. The tooth whitening offered in their package is actually an at home tooth whitening gel that goes in your existing retainers. You do not get the special whitening trays. This did not work for me at all and I had to get in-house tooth whitening done. 4. The Invisalign reviews here on Google are not all genuine. Patients are given a free tooth whitening gel in exchange for a 5 star review. If you do not leave a review you are reminded several times by Emilia making it awkward at appointments. You are sent a detailed email with guidance on how to leave a review including exact words to use. 5. Though you pay for a comprehensive package they are very hesitant to give you more than one round of refinements. All in all I liked Dr Zahir and Dr Margaret however they are dentists and not orthodontists. At the price I paid I would have preferred the expertise and knowledge of moving teeth by an orthodontist. My teeth are straighter than when I started although far from the results I was expecting. If you’re choosing this practice due to their competitive pricing, consider the points above. Other places might work out cheaper overall. However they do a fairly satisfactory job.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to say a massive Thank you to the receptionists and the dentist for helping me with the wisdom tooth extraction. A special mention to Billy who managed to get me booked into for an emergency appointment last week, she kept to her word by contacting me when there was a cancellation. Aftercare is also amazing and I experienced this today when ringing for an emergency appointment.Liz and another lady at reception today was completely understanding of my situation and got me booked in again. The receptionists there are the heartbeat for the practice and there customer experience is to a high standard. A thank you to also Margaret who removed my wisdom tooth last week , she was transparent and realistic and was very compassionate. She made me feel in safe hands when she extracted my tooth. I have seen Keshi in the past and she must also get a special mention and she’s always been brilliant with me. Thank you all again.

Negative experience: Very poor if I could give negative stars I would. I was a patient there for many yrs. And all they ever did was tell me they wouldn't want to deal with my wisdom teeth (ok) anyway then covid hit. They told me not to contact the clinic... (I didn't) then after over two yrs waiting I contacted then as i was and AM still in pain due to bleeding gums and a chipped tooth. They said this was an emergency and bookend me in. Two days before my appointment they cancelled me as a patient (online although they were aware of my dyslexia and were aware I couldn't read emails so the emailed me haha) They told me they dint make enough monie off me being an NHS patient (discussting) and as an NHS worker I felt very offended having non having non stopped work for THEM through this And seeing company's like this as route of the problem. And Bridget was Allways late for my appointments and they always said her train was late in after over 10 yrs of the same excess it wore very thin. Tbh I think most the staff there think there at a glamor shop not a dental practice . Thank you so much so what do i do with my broken tooth and bleeding gums now. Hu thanx TDP its been great

Fantastic experience: I initially visited Thurmaston Dental Practice in Leicester for an Invisalign consultation. From the moment I set foot in the practice I found all the staff to be extremely friendly. I am now nearing the end of my treatment and I truly have been blown away with the fantastic service I have received. The two dentists that I have been under, Dr Margaret and Dr Zahir have been beyond brilliant. At every step of the process they have ensured that I am happy with the results along the way and taken lots of time to explain all processes involved in achieving the results I desire. This is without a doubt, the only dental practice you could possibly need. The team are like a family, from the reception team, dental nurses, to the dentists and management, they truly are the A Team and it’s been a pleasure to get to know each any every one of them. Negative experience: This place is a total rip off and tell you you need to have your teeth removed when you don’t. I went in with a filling that had come out and they said I needed to have the tooth out but I didn’t as I went to a different dentist and they filled it for me I also wanted to have my teeth crowned and th try told me I had to wear this denture over my teeth to get used to it. This never fitted properly and I couldn’t get on with as it kept coming out, tried to go back to get it sorted and couldn’t see the original dentist I saw as they was not available for months in end. Was given an appointment with a difference person who was very arrogant and force full said I needed to have another tooth put in the denture to cover the one I had lost are a cost of £300, the original denture cost £400 so that was £700 in total. I still have it and it doesn’t fit, didn’t want to go back as I was made to feel I was a nuisance and I didn’t like the attitudes of the dentists. The only plus is the reception staff are nice and friendly but that don’t make up shambles that are the dental staff. They just want to get money out of you and not proved a service. TOTAL AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Fantastic experience: The whole process was very well explained. I felt assured as each step was completed. The final step was carried out a little earlier than planned which was a bonus. I am very happy with my new implant.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately the Dental practice do not offer any MHS facilities now. I pay well over £30 a month in a dental plan now but this does not cover any requirement with treatment . I have a huge bill to pay now well over £500 pounds. So after many years of satisfaction with this excellent practice I am now forced to look elsewhere for my services.or pay abroad . Thank you for the memories just sorry it has come to this .

Negative experience: The Dentist cancelled my appointment few months back, saying a new appointment will be arranged, it never was . so I called the Dentist myself to book an appointment but was told they had taken me off their books as I had missed the appointment which is not true, and If I wanted a check up it would need to be as a private patient. Then I read on social media that they have done the same to many other patients demanding they go private. Very shady underhand tactics. shameful

I have recently completed Invisalign treatment and was extremely impressed by Dr Margaret's knowledge and explaination of all the process. I had a really clear understanding of what I needed to do and she worked with me to ensure I was really happy with my final result. Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience during my visit and during my treatment. I hadn't come in a long, and I was pleased with the help that I got. Additionally, I got my teeth cleaned at the same time as the dentist examined my teeth. I thought it was fantastic of the dentist to check on me frequently while she was cleaning my teeth and to keep me informed at every stage of the procedure. I inquired about teeth whitening information after getting my teeth cleaned. My needs were immediately discussed with one of her colleagues, who was free to do so. Emilia, the Treatment Coordinator, was incredibly kind and helpful. She took her time to go over all of the treatments I may have. She was knowledgeable and competent, so I scheduled an appointment to discuss my needs with one of her colleagues. Emilia's assurance that she could assist me both now and in the future made me happy. The fact that she offered to be able to help me save money on consultations and treatments, though, is what actually made me pleased. She went through the specifics while giving me time to read it independently. I was grateful to Emilia for assisting me in taking advantage of the opportunity, and I signed up for the programme.

Fantastic experience: I used this practice for invisalign treatment. The practice is always immaculately clean with a homely waiting area. I was nervous about starting the treatment but Dr. Kaderbhai and her team were always compassionate and patient with me and ready to answer any questions I might have. The pricing was very reasonable compared to quotes I have had from other dental practices in Leicester for the same treatment, and I did not feel pressured into going ahead with the treatment. I am coming towards the end of my orthodontic treatment now and can't stop smiling- I'd like to say a big thank you to all at the practice as my new smile has definately done wonders for my confidence. Dr Margaret went through their Invisalign package and it happened to be the cheapest in Leicester.
