Fantastic experience: I was referred to this practice by my dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction and whilst it’s not a pleasant procedure to go through I was really happy with the whole experience. I am a very anxious patient and have had poor experiences in the past with dentists. I don’t know the name of the dentist and assistant who treated me, I was in room 3 upstairs but they were both very kind, patient and made me feel as comfortable as possible. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the practice and being informed on what was happening throughout the procedure. They both also checked to see how I was doing throughout the appointment multiple times and offered to allow pause for a moment at anytime.

Negative experience: I was in the waiting room the other day when I witnessed one of the patients (a man) from the dentist verbally abuse a woman outside (he was clearly in the wrong) and nobody in the practise tried to deescalate the situation or help her out. I felt incredibly unsafe as a woman, especially when there was children around too. They were clearly prioritising a relationship with a client who was violent rather than doing the right thing. What a shame.

Fantastic experience: I am a very anxious patient and had root canal here. The dentist made me feel very relaxed and at ease. The procedure was very quick taking only an hour but it felt much faster. Didn’t feel any pain whatsoever. Would highly recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: I was initially referred to Hazelwood Dental Practice for investigation for treatment I’d had at a different practice. Since December 2024 I’ve never looked back. The team have been absolutely fantastic. I’ve had an extraction, an implant and now visit for a regular hygiene clean. I’ve always had a fear of going to the dentist but not here. You are made to feel welcome, you’re reassured and treatment is explained and discussed thoroughly. I’ve recommended the practice to lots of people and will continue doing so. If you’re considering going to Hazelwood Dental Practice, you most certainly won’t be disappointed.

I get too nervous and can’t keep my mouth open for that long but she makes it all so calming and lets me relax and not so panicky! Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth extracted today. Mentally usually a harrowing experience going to the dentist. However, this time the experience was not at all bad. The dentist really made me feel relaxed so that was half the mental battle made easier. We spoke about other subjects while the anesthetic worked its magic. That took my mind off of the up and coming extraction. The extraction was done in no time. The Dentist Mrs Shireen Hilmi, was very professional, pleasant and helpful, would definitely recommend. Friendly and efficient reception team ensure you never forget your appointment and the dentist is superb - calm, reassuring, empathetic and never recommends treatment which is not needed. Excellent all round. I had an emergency appointment recently when my regular dentist was away, and was just as impressed!

Shireen and Andrea were excellent both in terms of putting me at my ease and getting the tooth out with the minimum of fuss or pain. Fantastic experience: My mom was referred to this clinic for the extraction of a broken tooth root. She was quite anxious at first because her previous dentist was unable to remove the root, which caused her significant pain. However, Dr. Olufemi Oluteye was exceptionally professional. The extraction was quick and completely pain-free. I highly recommend this clinic. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful in finding a parking space.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist to Hazelwood dental practice for a root canal . I arrived at the reception and was greeted with a smile by their very professional and filled my consent form. Was told to wait and soon was called to go up. The dentist explained to me what the procedure was for a root canal and she made sure I was pain free and kept topping up with aesthetic.The dentist was wonderful and very professional. Fantastic experience: Went on Monday 11th August to have 3 teeth removed. I suffer with dentist anxiety and nearly didn't attend as I was having a major panic attack. As soon as I was called in the lady Dentist put me a ease and was constantly talking to me about everyday life so it took my mind off of the surgery.

I normally find it a horrible experience and I felt so comfortable I didn't even notice that the broken tooth was out until the guy showed me, it took less than half hour, the only thing that hurt was the 3 injections. The staff are really pleasant and the reception is clean and welcoming and the surgery 3 I was in upstairs was clean and tidy

Fantastic experience: I was trembling when I went in there because I was going to get a root pulled out that my dentist struggled to get out which was very uncomfortable. I went in and was out in 15mins No pain whatsoever, I didn’t even feel the injection! i’m still scratching my head over how easy it was! Seriously, I don’t know what the dentist name is but he was a black guy and I would go there again if I ever had a really bad tooth to take out.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Hazelwood Dental Practice by my own dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction. I waited around ten minutes after my appointment time before being called. The dentist was very good at her job. She explained what she was going to do and then did it. The procedure was pain free and everything went very smoothly. Once the local anaesthetic wore off a few hours later I felt some low-level pain. This was dealt with by a single dose of painkillers. The pain has not reoccurred today. All in all I was impressed by Hazelwood Dental Practice. If I lived locally I would try to get onto their patient list.

Fantastic experience: My wife was referred her for root canal When we first arrived we were met with very polite receptionist. The dentist is very polite and knowledgeable and explained everything that she was doing. The Clinic is very clean and has own parking.

Positive experience: The practice itself was very good. They attended to me immediately even though I was early. The diagnosis and opinion were quick and efficient and the receptionist was courteous and helpful. I needed no treatment at this time. However it was necessary to drive to the practice as I live near St Albans and there is no public transport service that goes there for me. Traffic in the area was a Nightmare and there is NOwhere to park so my husband had to just drive round and round until I came out. The whole car journey to and from the practice from the motorway was hell and I hope I never have to do it again.

Fantastic experience: I was recently referred to the Hazelwood Dental Practice by my own dentist for a tooth extraction. I arrived and introduced myself. The kind staff at reception were very polite and welcomed me. I completed my consent form and waited in the sunshine for my appointment time to arrive. I was shortly called and made my way to treatment room No 3 on the first floor. I met my dentist and his pleasant assistant. A full and clear explanation of today's treatment was outlined. The process of the extraction was completed painlessly within 20 mins. An ongoing care package was then provided with brief but clear advice for my personal care. Before I left I complimented the dentist and his assistant for their professional, kind and very pleasant service. I then made my way out of the building but as I left I popped into reception to express my admiration for the excellent service because it really was first class. To finish i would like to add that this wonderful facility is fresh clean and very polished. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I had to have a realy diffcult extraction, due to repeat infections. The dentist and the assistant did a great job. Well informed all the way. Due to the difficulty of the extraxtion of a historical root left behind from a wisdom tooth and the way it was sitting it took longer than a usual extraction. They really worked hard to get it out. I had no pain during the extraction only from the injection. After effects are normal slightly swollen. Infection prevention and management given really well. Will bring chooclates soon. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Had a referral for a tooth extraction on 16th June as it was a root canal tooth that needed to be removed. Was expecting issues but the dentist was amazing and got it out complete with no complications. Very polite and professional.

The dentist did a great job, can’t believe how fast he worked without rushing, and he let me ask lots of questions.
