The Temple Practice

Positive experience: Really lovely staff all round , however my tooth story is different , I had a hole and the dentist couldn’t pull it out as it felt like it was going to break my jaw, so he cut the top off , leaving the bottom of the tooth with hole in my mouth & I’ve now been referred to the dental clinic for extraction which I was informed would be 2 weeks , however it’s been months and I’ve still not had the extraction , so I get pain in my head/tooth/jaw/neck very bad from time to time to the point I can’t do much at all. But overall the staff and everything is great it’s just a shame about my tooth!

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely dentist with friendly receptionists. Raed and Betty are the dream team. This is the best dentist I’ve ever used . The staff are so caring and take time to answer your questions . I feel very comfortable here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: One of the receptionists was quite rude and unfriendly. I arrived early for my appointment but felt pressured by the receptionist to sign a document without enough time to read it. When I asked for a few minutes, I was told the dentist might no longer have time to see me — even though I was on time. Other patients seemed to be treated more politely, which felt unfair. I hope the clinic can improve front desk service so all patients feel treated with respect.

Fantastic experience: First time at the practice today and want to say a huge thank you to all the staff for making me and my little boy feel so welcome & accommodating us to make the visit as pleasant and easy as possible. Really appreciated!

Fantastic experience: After a history of awful experiences with previous dental practices, and orthodontic treatment growing up, I’ve finally found a really good dental practice in Temple Dental. They accepted me as a NHS patient when I had my exemption certificate and were super fast at organising the removal of my wisdom teeth. Now they can no longer provide me with free dental care they have created an affordable plan very close to NHS prices meaning I can still afford dental care. First visit with Adam Wood today and he was really fantastic, great manner and informative. Made me feel positive about keeping up with my dental appointments as dentist anxiety has always made me reluctant to get seen. Hayley is also very good with my toddler when he comes for his check ups. Would definitely recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Adam, lovely dentist and made me feel at ease straight away (thank you!) has set up a plan in order to have healthier gums as I hadn’t been to the dentist in so many years, everyone at the practice was very welcoming including the reception staff. Look forward to my next appointments!

Fantastic experience: I took my father to his first consultation with Dr. Adam Wood today, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Dr. Wood was so kind, patient, and respectful throughout the entire visit. His calm and gentle approach had put my dad at ease. It was clear how much he genuinely cares, and his professionalism and manners were outstanding. My dad left feeling reassured and motivated to start his treatment journey, which means so much to us. We’re so grateful for such a positive first step—thank you, Dr. Wood!

Fantastic experience: On this my first visit I had a thorough examination of my teeth. I was very impressed because a slight problem was highlighted which my previous dentist had not seen - for which I most grateful. Further, I was given a simple help to solve the slight problem. The reception staff, nurse and the dentist were all very friendly, helpful understanding. Jim Bottrill Gurjeevan did a did thoroughly professional and caring job putting a crown back in its place during an emergency appointment yesterday (30/10/24). Together with the receptionist and his assistant I was greatly helped with getting an appointment and it actually being done for took careful account of my present disabilities. Top marks to all of you and I’m most grateful for the care you took of me.

Fantastic experience: I'm a bit apprehensive of dentists due to bad past experiences elsewhere. My dentist Sophie is always reassuring, warm, polite, knowledgeable and professional. As are her assistants and receptionists. I really feel at ease and like I can ask about anything around my dental work. The dental work I've had done has always been completed to a professional standard and I'm given options before proceeding. Appointment slots are fairly easy to get and I can book all of my appointments in advance if multiple things need to be done. Very happy with this dentist

Fantastic experience: Sophie is an excellent dentist. Very gentle and with a delicate hand. One of very few dentists I've seen who is able to scrape around my tender gum line with the scaler and poke at my enamel eroded teeth without causing me pain. She has a natural talent for working on 'jumpy' patients like me or anyone with dental anxiety from previous bad experiences. Please don't let her leave! I should add in the interests of fairness that now-departed dentists Toby and Helena were also excellent.

Fantastic experience: Always professional from the moment you walk in the door. My "new" Dental surgeon Hayley is very professional and beautiful with it. I enjoy going to Dentist for once in my life. Looking forward to my next appointment.

Negative experience: I attended my routine appointment yesterday with my 3 children, this was booked in January. Upon arrival I was handed several pages of information regarding changes to the way the practice was treating patients. My 3 children were up first - as with my previous visit everything went well. Then it was my turn… To my amazement the dentist refused to see me unless I agreed to a different type of patient treatment. Astounded, I questioned why, after booking the appointment 6 months prior, this information was not provided to me earlier so that I was able to understand its implications to me. You’d emailed and text me multiple times reminding me of my appointment but not once mentioned the caveat you dropped on me as I sat in the chair for my appointment, apparently applicable from April. More than 3 months before my appointment. I spoke with both the dentist and the receptionist trying to understand why - as a supposed professional organisation - you have opted to not inform patients of this change in good time, before their appointment to enable them to make a sound and informed decision. The response, management have decided to do it this way. As a bare minimum I would have expected to be seen as agreed 6 months prior and a decision to be made by me, before my next appointment. Equally, having now looked through and fully understood the implications, it’s something I’m likely to have agreed to although the trust I had for the practice has diminished considerably. Be ready for your next appointment anyone reading this - it’s either acceptance or no appointment!

Negative experience: Awful experience. Miserable staff and argumentative dentist (for no reason) led to my been summarily swapped. When I complained my treatment was one sided and abysmal. These people do not like being told they are in the wrong!!! I was threatened and slandered and when I asked for evidence none was forthcoming. No care, no humility and failure to even follow their own processes. Bad people and poor dentists very unprofessionally led. I am in the process of a formal complaint with CQC

Fantastic experience: Rachel my dentist has been absolutely wonderful since hoping the practice. She has been patient with me and explained things in a way I’ve never received before from other practices. All the staff have been friendly and kind. I would recommend anyone to register at the Temple Practice.

Fantastic experience: After losing my dentist in covid that I was with for 30+ years , I never thought would get another NHS dentist again , So want to say thank you Temple Practice for getting me in . From the minute I walked in I felt relax and at easy . So after my second appointment I can’t believe how my teeth look , ok not the straight and white Hollywood smile people dream of , But loads better than what they were when I first went I can’t get over how good they look . I feel I can now smile and not be embarrassed of my teeth. I could have cried thank you so much to Hayley Horsman for giving me my smile back .

Negative experience: I wouldn’t give it one … appalling services avoid at all costs teeth whitening gel doesn’t work I bought the highest was quick enough to take the money without taking pics of before and after they wanted to take pics after but didn’t ask for pics before I started the procedure … 90 pound wasted then had a tooth pulled out which was an herrendous experience for me … never got a refund and as I made a complaint they didn’t want me back at the dentist disgraceful …very unprofessional also have a friend who works in the dentist profession in Wakefield 15 for one whitening gel each so I was massively annoyed when I paid £90 for 2 and didn’t work and was threatened to take me to court if I mentioned the females name absolutely disgraced I have rights too

From so friendly, helpful receptionists to super efficient and professional dentists and their assistants it's my number one dentist. In my case dentist Jeevan he is super efficient, explain every stage and visited 5 times for different tooth and haven't felt a single uncomfort or pain. I would give 6 stars if there was an option!

Fantastic experience: After not being able to get into a dentist for 7 years I had developed a fear of going. Had my first appointment today with Daisy, and she made me feel 100% at ease. Talked me through everything she wanted to do and made me feel 100% safe in her care. Best dentist I've ever seen.

Negative experience: So after leaving a none threatening message saying how disgusted I was about losing a NHS placement due to having a baby it seems that's not a good enough excuse. Made the rearranged appointment got there after a bus journey a crying baby a big walk to then humiliate me Infront of everyone in the office by saying private only. Then threatened defamation of character when I wrote the first review. Then replied by saying I was abusive. Not once did I swear. I only put my point across stating why did u not say on the phone before I pulled a newborn baby out of its routine as a single parent buses and baby's dony mix but there Customer service did not acknowledge that as a good enough excuse. Horrible staff
