Fantastic experience: Extremely happy with the care I received at Rosburgh Dental Practice in Longbenton, Newcastle. My dentist was very understanding and explained everything. All staff were very professional and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.
Negative experience: Just got struck off the register for missing an appointment I turned up to. Yes I was a little late but that seems a bit much. No warning just a letter stating that I’m no longer allowed treatment. Seems another idiot with a power trip.
Negative experience: Never had an appointment this year. Or even ladt year. Just interested in teeth whitening and lip fillers.

Negative experience: Have just found out today that my dentist has left as my husband was sent a message to say overdue checkup with dentist. After talking to the receptionist who said the message was a mistake it seems the practice is struggling with the volume of patients due to dentists leaving and currently the care is very poor I am having to go private as I'm not prepared to wait any longer to see a dentis

Fantastic experience: I need emergency treatment for a broken tooth and was treated with professionalism when I contacted the practice, I was seen very promptly and the dentist put me at ease explaining everything that he was going to do, it made my experience with the dentist a positive one. My dentist and dental nurse were professional, caring and overall put me at ease throughout the whole procedure. I would definitely recommend to others.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this practice for 30 years. I've tried to get an appointment for a check up as was last seen in Feb 2020, but each time I've been told my dentist has left the practice and they will contact me when they have a replacement! As I hadn't seen a regular dentist since 2014, I don't understand this response. They took on far too many NHS patients prior to 2020 and now cannot cope with the volume of patients!

Negative experience: Whilst having an autistic meltdown (which yes can make me appear angry) due to the state the dentists in this practice have left my teeth, I was smirked at, my wishes were ignored, I was shouted at and intimidated by a dentist who's exact words were "I don't know anything about your condition and I don't care" AVOID AVOID AVOID
Negative experience: Sittin with 2 teethaching and not givin an emergency appointment. Was in hospital for 3 weeks and had COVID so missed 2 apps. Phone to tell them been not well etc n th best app they can giv me is 24/4 station there's no emergency appointments available till thn. Shockin Wen Ur in pain. Tune changed Wen asked for referral so could go to hospital n get it seen to "aww ah will see if th dentist will triage u n get bk to u. Hands down worst reception staff came across more so Wen Ur on th fone 20+ mins!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous before my appointment as I was due to have a tooth and a root extracted. The assistant who took me to the surgery and the dentists assistant put me entirely at ease! They told me they would look after me well, which they did. The extractions were not as bad as I thought, I had 3 injections and the dentist was EXCELLENT. . I am pleased I attend this practice, the dentist and staff are very, very good, friendly and helpful. Cannot ask for more! Thank you!

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would Went in to get 2 back teeth removed( wisdom tooth and the 1 beside it) The dentist checked 3 times to see if I was numb and every time it wasnt( what I verbally told him) even though my mouth wasn't numb he still proceeds to pull out both teeth. I had tears, trying to push my head away and I verbally made noises so he knew I was in pain, yet he still proceeded. I could feel every single thing. The pain radiated around my head, face and mouth. I was physically shaking because of the pain. I left the dentist crying because I was in that much pain. Even an hour later my mouth still wasn't numb. I have never been scared to go to the dentist before but that has physically traumatised me from ever walking into 1 again. Richard the dentist seemed so lovely when I first went in but he clearly doesn't care about the wellbeing of his patients

Negative experience: It doesn't even warrant one star! We registered on the NHS waiting list only to be told we are now not on it 6 months later! Saw the dentist and told by the receptionist that I would only pay for an x-ray. I then was told I had to pay £70 (for no treatment btw) then to discover the rookie receptionist had made a mistake! I had to pay £70 A whole days wages for a mistake! Raging to say the least. I am still in pain and now having to find another dentist

Negative experience: After waiting on the NHS waiting list for nearly a year to then get a phone call to say that I was no longer on the list as they have lost dentists is disgusting. What is worse is to then be told, but we are taking on private. This makes me angry and also find hilarious as it would still be the same dentist and they would still be taking on new patients. Absolute joke. I work hard for a living, pay my taxes and for what? Personally I feel extremely let down by this.
Fantastic experience: Very professional had deep root canal treatment dentist explained everything as he was doing it, no pain whatsoever.
Negative experience: Waited 5 weeks for an appointment which was today only to have X-rays done and to be told the next appointment from today is in mid July and this isn’t even to do the treatment just to further analyse. When I said I work abroad and will be away by then they just said it’s how the system is and to go private.
Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient Kevin was really fantastic and helped alleviate my fears and definitely instilled within me that they have my best interests at heart and that its not all about patient payments.

Negative experience: I've tried getting an emergency appointment as advised by NHS-24. Phoned in first thing in the morning at 8am. Its been 2 hours and I haven't gotten through to anyone. I'm in severe pain and at this rate I'm going to have to pull out the tooth myself. I've not slept in 2 days because of the pain and it doesn't help that when I'm trying to get through I'm being put on hold for 3 minutes and being made to call back. 23 times, that's how many times I've called to try and speak to someone.
Negative experience: First went into the practice around a year ago after not being seen for nearly two years. First off I had 2 dentists leave the practice right before my appointments. I don’t think I had seen the same dentist twice between 6 monthly appointments up until this point. When I went in around a year ago I was told I needed 4 fillings and a crown. After being told this, they said they would be in touch but I never heard anything back. My teeth have now deteriorated and I’m in pain. I spent weeks calling over and over and over again with no one answering the phone which I find strange as there are 2 ladies at the desk. When I finally got through I asked for an appointment to get the work done. They replied to this by saying that they had no record of me needing work done despite spending time with the dentist choosing which fillings I needed where and agreeing where I would get metal and white. After being told this I asked to be booked in as soon as they could so I can go in for ANOTHER check up to be told the same thing. After turning up, I was asked why I had booked an emergency appointment. I wasn’t even aware of the fact that it was an emergency appointment, I was told they couldn’t do anything because of that fact that I don’t have a dentist AGAIN. The dentist that I saw was quite rude and to be frank I felt as if I was made to feel like an idiot for coming in to get my teeth sorted. I called to try and book myself a new appointment and was told that they will be in contact with me to arrange a new appointment. Unfortunately I don’t have enough faith in the practice to make any effort whatsoever to actually get me sorted out and will now be having to look for a new dental practice.
Negative experience: If I could give it zero I would. Waiting since June for an appointment and it gets cancelled every time. My father had to pull his own tooth out despite me telling the dentist that he had Alzheimer's and dementia and really needed to see someone. I drove 7 hours to take him to an appointment at the end of October only to have it cancelled again....next appointment was December 23rd and yip it has been cancelled yet again - dentist stuck in South Africa!!!. This has got to be one of the worst dentist practices I have ever come across.
Negative experience: Needed to update my review today as I went in for an appointment that I honestly think took the dentist 10 minutes. Since Connor left, I needed to see someone new today. The person being the dentist never introduced himself. The whole experience was stiff and I felt unwelcome and walked out of there feeling like I was asked to find another practice. Truly not how one should be treated. I dont know if the staff are overworked and that might be the reason this person treated me like this, but today was just horrible. Reception staff are amazing and friendly as usual. Thanks to them.
Negative experience: Second time trying to call in a few weeks, last time took 15+ calls, voicemail, email and Facebook message before any kind of reply, shocking considering if someone is trying that hard to contact they are clearly either calling on behalf of someone in pain or are in pain themselves, horrible service
Negative experience: Poor quality of service, the phone at reception is never answered when you call up (try it, you’ll see), Stupidly long wait times for appointments. They refuse to give emergency appointments out despite pain being constantly high. 5 minutes late to an appointment? Don’t botherer going, the dentist will want to be lazy and will say they can no longer see you. They should be ashamed.

Negative experience: Not keen on having to answer questions over a poor quality intercom at the front door. Not easy for people like me who are hearing impaired, couldn’t make out what the person was saying and had to guess to fill in the gaps. Also concerned about patient confidentiality as the conversation could be heard by anyone nearby. Disappointed that you can’t get something as simple as a scale and polish unless you are prepared to go as a private patient - not impressed.

Positive experience: The reason I have marked you down a tad is because: Procedures take so long to complete. I know we are living in difficult times but, surely in my situation with having new dentures made, it should not take 5 months to complete from when the appointment was due. You cannot tell me the Dental Technicians are not operating, or over loaded with work. Admittedly I was warned by my dentist that new dentures fitted immediately after the teeth have been extracted don't normally fit very well, but assured that after 6 months new dentures would be made as by then the mouth would have settled down to fit the new dentures. They fitted fine until one of my previous crowns broke off, (I saw the dentist about that but told they could not refit the crown, then a few months after I had an abscess on the other side of my mouth also on the upper jaw and the tooth had to be extracted. It was a few months after the extraction that the new dentures were being organised. Not having anything for some for the 'gripping hooks' to hold onto, it looked as if I was toothless in the front of my upper jaw. This has caused me great embarrassment to the point that I have become more of a recluse than the lock down had caused. Not only do I look toothless but I now have a speech impediment and my husband who is deaf shouts at me because he does not understand what I am saying. The reason he does not understand me is because I use my tongue to keep my dentures in my mouth. He is not the only one who complains, all my family are mocking me about my lack of teeth in my mouth whilst they are there but cannot be seen. I have reported the difficulty to my dentist but she explained there was not much she could do about it because of Covid 19 and their hands are tied.

Positive experience: Lesley was very nice, removed tartar from my tooth, unfortunately this has not helped with the extreme pain, I am giving it a couple of days in the hope that it may settle before I get in touch again.
