Fantastic experience: Had my regular three month appointment with hygienist, Lana, and as ever, it was done with utmost professionalism in a friendly manner. It has to be said that I quite enjoy these visits, although, I know I’ll be sent away with the importance of using the correct interdental brushes, which is all to the good for future visits. As Lana said, we want to make sure your teeth and gums are in good shape in ten years time!

Yesterday I visited for root canal treatment, and Dr Omer Telli was incredibly thorough, explaining everything clearly, and making sure I was comfortable throughout. Fantastic experience: I got my broken thoot fixed by doctor Omer Telli, honestly I can't recomed him enough. My tooth was broken in half under gum line, he fixed it and I have no problem since then. Very Professional, he knows what he's doing

Fantastic experience: Was sent to this practice by my local dentist for an emergency appointment and the service was 10/10. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly, overall building is very clean and spacious. The service I received was first class, everything explained very well, x-rays discussed, recommendations for further treatment thoroughly explained, as someone who has high anxiety with having treatment done I was made to feel very at ease.

Negative experience: Their fillings last a month or so and have you in a constant money cycle with them. Takes ages to get an appointment and they don't give patients access to the guest WiFi. Change appointment times with no warning.
Hello Becky, we are sorry to see you left us a 2 star review. It can be frustrating when a filling comes out on more than one occasion but please be assured that any costs you paid are those set by the NHS. We, as a practice have no control over these. Re appointments, we are extremely busy at times and I agree, that sometimes the wait is a little longer than we would also like. We have emergency spaces every day and anyone calling with a dental emergency (trauma, swelling, infection) will be offered an appointment on the day or the next day. We also have a short notice cancellation list with texts sending automatically when an appointment is freed up. We do on occasion need to reschedule appointments. We appreciate this is an inconvenience to our patients but with illness or other unforseen circumstances, sometimes this just cannot be helped. I will look at changing the name of our WiFi as the name "guest" is a little misleading. Unfortunately we do not give access to this. I hope I have addressed your points but please get in touch with us at [email protected] if you have any further questions. We hope to be awarded more stars by you in the future. Best wishes.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a check-up with 3 of us, and we all left smiling (and not just because our teeth were clean)! Dr. Omer Telli and the team were super friendly, funny, and made the whole experience surprisingly enjoyable. He explained everything clearly and made sure each of us understood what was going on with our dental health. It felt more like a visit with old friends than a trip to the dentist. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s professional but still has personality!

Fantastic experience: I used to be such a nervous dentists patient so I did my research and found Meadowbank Dental Practice. I’ve been here for a few years now and it’s my favourite dental practice. Everyone here is so lovely and understanding particularly for nervous patients. My dental hygienist AJ keeps me at ease and she remembers me every time I come back. She’s so lovely and our conversations about everything keeps away all my nerves in the chair. I could not recommend this place more

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my Invisalign treatment with Omer Telli at Meadowbank Dental Practice. I could not have received better treatment during the past two years. From the outset he provided detailed and honest information about what I could expect to achieve - managing my expectations in doing so. My case was quite challenging and the determination and skill he displayed to get us to the best possible end was extraordinary. I am absolutely thrilled with the end result and grateful for the patience and good humour that Omer and the team have shown me. I would 100% recommend both Omer as a dentist and the practice!

Fantastic experience: Today my husband had his first visit with Dr. Smyth who was really professional, kind and very patient due to my husband's situation. She explained everything in great detail and we were very happy and satisfied with the advice she gave us. Positive experience: I had a hygienist clean followed by another procedure, but unfortunately, I can't recommend the cleaning. It felt rushed, and there were parts of it that were uncomfortable and even painful. It's disappointing because the dentist had spoken so highly of their services, and I've had positive experiences with other hygienists in the past. Sadly, this experience has made me hesitant to book a follow-up appointment.

Fantastic experience: I recently had oral cyst surgery at Meadowbank Dental Practice with Dr. Girish Bharadwaj, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care I received. This was my second time dealing with a mucocele after a previous trauma in 2020, and Dr. Bharadwaj took extra care to remove it deeper to prevent recurrence. During the procedure, I experienced a moment of anxiety and fatigue, but as soon as I let them know, they immediately stopped and gave me a sweet to help with my blood sugar. Nurse Daniela, in particular, was amazing—she spoke to me in Spanish, held my hand, and made me feel safe and accompanied rather than alone. Another nurse, who I believe was training, was also really kind and reassuring. From the very beginning, the reception team was great. A special thanks to Alison from reception for being my first point of contact, speaking with the oral surgeon, and securing me an earlier appointment due to a cancellation. My discomfort was real and difficult, and I truly appreciate the effort made to help me sooner. Four weeks after the surgery, my post-op review went great. Unfortunately, Daniela wasn’t there, but I made sure to send her my thanks! The whole team was professional, kind, and attentive from start to finish. I’m incredibly happy to have my oral health back to normal and free from daily discomfort. A huge thank you to everyone involved! Jacob :)

Fantastic experience: I required an emergency dental appointment today (Fri 29 Nov'24). My own dentist had no spaces available, but put me in touch with Meadowbank Dental Practice, Edinburgh; who offered me an appointment this afternoon. I was very grateful to Helen for the kind way she dealt with my calls today, including re-arranging my time due to en-route delays, (police closed a main road due to a traffic accident). A Thanks, also, to Dr Smyth who treated me at the practice. She took every care possible with me and was very instructive when explaining why I was experiencing pain. At the end of the treatment, Dr Smyth then took time to explain why my rather 'heavy' daily in-take in sugary food/drink was the direct cause of my suffering today. Dr Smyth did strike-a-chord and I will endeavour, with immediate effect, to improve what I eat in future. I will now arrange for the required further treatment to be carried out at my own dental practice. I am grateful to all concerned. Brian Pacey

Fantastic experience: Have always been very happy with this dental practice over the past 5 or so years. All staff seem to really care about making visits as warm and inviting as possible, especially for the kids - a far cry from the horror I've experienced at dental practices earlier in my life! Hygienists are excellent too, particularly AJ and nurse Ka who I had today and I think last time too - painless and extremely thorough cleanings. Nice to actually feel positive visiting a dental practice - so glad this is our local!

Fantastic experience: I got called by reception team to say I could come in early as there had been a cancellation. And the hygienist spoke to me all the way through the procedure and informed me what she was doing. Very efficient and professional all round.

Fantastic experience: N.B. This relates to hygienist services only. Lana and Ana provided an excellent service, bringing my teeth back to a clean state from under far more plaque and calculus than I'd like to think about. The process wasn't pleasant but it was quite remarkable how much they were able to achieve during a single appointment. And all done with plenty of humour and reassurance. I won't leave it so long next time!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic team, the staff at the desk are welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful as are the dentists and their technicians. I had to call for an emergency appointment this afternoon and was seen within an hour and got my issue dealt with. The anesthesia has worn off now so I'm in a fair amount of pain but I am so relieved that Meadowbank Dental Practice are so professional, thorough and helpful. Many thanks, will make sure I am seen every 6 months from now on as I never want to feel this pain ever again.

Negative experience: Awful ! Ruined my teeth ! Manager is disgusting should not be in a managers position . Christina the dentist in there bonded my teeth which were a mess and left me without my clear retainers for over a week said my teeth wouldn’t move but anyone who has paid for orthodontic treatment knows your teeth move in 1/2 days without your retainers . The managers solution was to send me back to the dentist who caused the damage when I told her this dentist caused me anxiety as she had ruined my teeth . Not offered to fix them treated me so disgusting and rude in the practice when they were in the wrong stay clear

Negative experience: The actual dentist depending on who you get can be lovely but this one receptionist is very rude she has glasses and short blonde hair she won’t give you an appointment unless SHE thinks you need one not the dentist and questions on why people have no money and looks down on people that get free treatment I got an emergency appointment to get two teeth take out last week and I’m still in pain a week later and she won’t book me an emergency appointment unless I pay £30 for a missed appointment in the past and told me to see a doctor instead when I explained that the doctor said it was a dental issue she still wouldn’t give me an appointment unless I paid the £30 in her words “as it’s easy to afford it’s not that much money we won’t be booking you an appointment unless you pay” and I just quite frankly think this was really rude there’s a way to speak to people and not undermine them and this lady just doesn’t have it bare in mind I’m on benefits and have two children under the age of 5 so sitting in pain isn’t really an option but paying £30 when you don’t have a penny isn’t an option either I’ve never had a problem with any other receptionist just this specific one I’ve worked in many of places and if any staff member in any place I’ve worked were to speak to someone in that manner they would be fired on the spot I’ve never been one to write reviews either but quite frankly after all the phone calls I’ve been making this morning and the way I’ve been spoken too has pushed me over the edge as I am in pain but have to deal with it on my own

Fantastic experience: Got my teeth back to normal. Couldn't find a dental hygienist in time for going away. Meadowbank saw me within 3 days. Saw AJ the dental hygienist and when I say my teeth are back to normal and look better than healthy its unreal no more stains!!!. She was absolutely outstanding and so kind and caring. Found my new dental practice and hygienist.

Fantastic experience: I have always been anxious attending the dentist and avoided going for many years until i urgently needed treatment. If you are at all nervous then meadowbank dental is the place for you, they put me at ease and were compassionate in dealing with my terrors. I now have very little nervousness and am able to attend regularly for routine checkups whereas before, i avoided this for many years. A very professional and modern practice with many treatments available. I would definately recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am incredibly grateful for the emergency appointment and immediate care and attention given to me from Meadowbank Dental Practice after my front crown fell out. I am not a patient there but my own practice was unable to see me having only one dentist available for only half a day. The amazing Dr Telli at Meadowbank, however, gave me back my smile (albeit temporarily) and sound advice as to my options going forward. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I'm a very nervous dentist patient and have always dreaded any hygieneist appointments, however AJ and her assistant was extremely empathetic on my first visit with her and allowed us to go at a pace I was confortable with and she made me feel as relaxed as I'd ever been. Now after my second appointment, I can say I was really at ease and I can feel the dread has lifted. Thank you to AJ for changing this for me, would very much recommend her, especially for anyone who is very nervous about their appointments.
