Negative experience: Very poor service and no response to written complaint after 3 months. I had root canal work cancelled and rescheduled. These things happen, but the communication was appalling and inconvenience significant. The crown then fell off after about 3 weeks. No reply to multiple telephone calls, emails and hand delivered complaint. Just awful, avoid.

Positive experience: Appointment delayed but only by 15 minutes or so. The Dentist Lama was very polite and friendly. Didn't feel rushed and gave clear next steps after the check up. Thank you.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment with the dentist, arrived and checked in using the screen, appointment found and advised to take a seat. 40 minutes later I am still sat there. Receptionist then advised that she had just found out that the dentist I had booked an appointment with, using their online booking system, wasn’t coming in. So I had an appointment booked with a dentist who wasn’t coming in, and paid the deposit for the privilege of sitting in their waiting room, not to see a dentist. Requested a refund of my deposit, can’t happen today as their practice manager isn’t in………. Not impressed. Very poor customer and patient care

Fantastic experience: I went in for a hygiene clean with Emily, this was the first time I’ve had this done. She made me feel calm, thoroughly explained what would happen, gave me some tips on the recovery process with my gums, and did a fantastic job!

Fantastic experience: New patient at Wantage House after trying to find a local NHS dentist for 7 years. Had a filling via Nadine (one of the practices new dentists) who was honestly one of the best dentists I have experienced in my 60years. Nadine was very enthusiastic with a great bedside manner. Despite being young she obviously knew her dentistry and from the numbing injection to the final polish I hardly felt anything. While I went for a white filling (not provided on the NHS) I felt it well worth the cost which I thought very reasonable. My only concern with professional skill shortages is ..will the practice manage to hang on to Nadine! I hope so. The new premises was also worth a mention as being immaculate and from what I could see completely up to date in terms of a dental facility.

Negative experience: Horrible experience, paid £113 for a hygienist appointment which was half hour late (with no warning or acknowledgement) lasted 15 minutes and physically hurt. The payment was required in full at booking which should have been a red flag. Never going back here.

Fantastic experience: So where to start, firstly I called the practice on Monday, got given an appointment for Thursday. The next morning I receive a phone call offering me an appointment for that day. I accepted, as there's nothing worse that waiting for a dental appointment. I attended the practice Tuesday afternoon and tooth was extracted in 20 mins. I'm anxious when attending dentists but both my experiences with this practice have been great. Good aftercare advice was given, staff were great and they confirmed procedure throughout my time there. Would highly recommend. The building is also amazing. A good experience thank you.

Fantastic experience: I saw Kinza for the first time yesterday. Being an anxious sort I was really nervous. She immediately put me at ease. I was seen as an NHS patient. The appointment was so beneficial in that treatment needed will now be done and by Kinza and very soon too. The appointment was thorough, not rushed and gentle. At different stages of the appointment I was asked if I had any questions. I didn't because it was so well explained. To say I'm very grateful to Kinza, Wantage Dental Practice and the NHS is an understatement.

Negative experience: it’s very disappointing that I had to pay £53.50 for my son which is 4 years old. When I received the sms regarding this afternoon appointment, I was not advised that what I paid 6 months ago (£10), increased to £53.50 because now is 4 years old. I think it’s disgraceful that parents should pay £53.50 for a check up of a 4 years old boy. We will never use their services anymore.

Negative experience: Having been recommended by a friend, I walked in to this dental practice with the intention of joining as a private patient. The receptionist and another clinician was in conversation and totally ignored me for nearly a minute . When they finally looked up and I asked about becoming a patient, without allowing me to finish , the response was " we are not taking NHS ,only private " Both proceeded to give me a list of dental practices in Didcot and Wallingford I might want to try . Walking a few yards to the BUPA practice, the reception was a lot more welcoming and professional. This is a practice whose doors I will never darken even if all my teeth were falling out .

Fantastic experience: I was able to get an appointment with my dentist quite quickly after losing a small piece of tooth. I wasn't in pain. The dentist was very helpful, putting a temporary coating on my tooth , until I can get a longer appointment.

Fantastic experience: I was able to get an appointment at short notice for a filling which had broken and saw Noor today ( thanks to reception!). Noor had already checked my x-rays and knew the tooth had been root filled so replacing the filling would be easier. As I had a check up booked for February Noor suggested that she would do that first and then, if time the filling. Both done! Brilliant! Thanks to Noor and her dental nurse, a great team :)

Rather than a root canal for a broken tooth he advised me that the temporary repair he did a month ago was such a good job it would most probably last longer. Diagnosis To go back if/when it fell out and see what the options were then. Am very impressed you very rarely get a dentist who suggests he does less not more!

Fantastic experience: I see Alex most of the time and I genuinely cannot fault him!! The receptionists are lovely and always try to help where they can and as someone who is terrified of dentists in general, they go above and beyond to make things as easy as possible for me. Be that by helping me calm down from a panic attack or talking through step by step what's going to happen and giving me a count down to bigger things like injections or loud sounds. Big shout out to the nurses, too, I've held at least 3 nurse's hands and get scared everytime that I may hurt you by squeezing too hard. You're awesome x
