Fantastic experience: I was in with Kerry a few weeks ago for my first hygiene appointment, she put me at ease as I was incredibly nervous, and we were able to start my treatment. She was very professional in explaining everything to me, and I have come away with a new perspective on my dental health as I now know how it is related to my overall health too. I was petrified at the thought of visiting a hygienist but now I am looking forward to finishing my treatments with Kerry.

Negative experience: Very expensive! If I received this level of service in the NHS I would accept it but not when I have paid £1000s. I also have serious doubts about some of the treatment received and my so called treatment plan. I was not in a position to talk when you "reached out" (phoned me) this morning...I see you cancelled my next appointment anyway.

Fantastic experience: I had an outstanding experience at Sandown Dental! From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, professional, and attentive. The front desk made check-in smooth and stress-free, and I was seen right on time. Dr. O'Dolan was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient in explaining every step of the procedure. I felt completely at ease, which is saying a lot because I usually get anxious about dental visits. The hygienist did a thorough yet gentle cleaning, and the entire team clearly values patient comfort. The practice itself is modern, clean, and equipped with up-to-date technology. Fantastic experience: Friendly, efficient and professional service. I’ve had significant dental work carried out over the last year with zero pain or discomfort. They’ve always been able to provide an appointment that suits me and on a couple of emergency occasions the same day! Just had a hygiene treatment from Tracy, thorough as always. She spotted the beginnings of a problem with a back tooth and Roger then sorted it out for me there and then! Outstanding service from the whole team!

Negative experience: We had a fairly positive experience of Sandown Dental, until they removed my young daughter from their patient list. She was removed because I do not wish to pay privately for *my* dental care. I understand that businesses need to profit, and I would understand removing an adult if they wished to focus purely on private work, but removing a preschool child is awful. EDIT: To clarify following a response by the business, they accepted and took on my child on as an NHS dental patient without any parent being a patient. They wouldn't accept any parent as an NHS dental patient. We asked and they refused.

Negative experience: I have had my daughter registered here since 2021. I have just been informed that they are no longer offering children NHS treatment unless the parents register with the practice as private patients. My husband and myself are registered elsewhere. It's a disgrace to kick children out of your practice.

Fantastic experience: After a few consultations with other dentists specialising in composite bonding, I made an appointment with Sean at Sandown Dental and knew this was the right Dentist. Main difference was that Sean actually listened to what I wanted, what my concerns where and created a plan to suit. Every step of the plan was explained in detail and it was very easy to get appointments booked. I'm absolutely delighted with the results and for the first time in my life I have received complements on my teeth! I would have no problem recommending Sean and team at Sandown Dental. Fantastic experience: I cannot rate this practice highly enough. From the start of my journey in March 2023 to completion of all the work required in July 2024, Patrick and his staff have been utterly professional and completely focused on my wellbeing. Patrick's expertise, diligence and pride in his work is second to none, together with a good sense of humour to calm the nerves. It's now been 3 months since completion of my implants and other work, and I've had no adverse reactions, sensitivity or pain at all. Superb work which has much improved my life. Thank you, Patrick and all at Sandown.

Negative experience: Had an appointment for tomorrow - called me yesterday to say they require a deposit of £100 - I told them I am only having a filling which is about £100 so why would the deposit be that? They rang me back today stating the dentist was also doing the prep for my crown then - I said no I want the filling done first and I have already scheduled the prep work for mid sept. All these dates were already In calendar booked in months ago. Receptionist said the £100 needs to be paid now and I told her to cancel the appointment and close file. IF a customer wants to break up her treatments how she likes - that should be respected. They weren't happy they weren't taking nearly £500 for tomorrow. Expensive dentist to. I will go elsewhere for my 2 crowns [ over 600£ each then prep cost and fillings - which by the way was going to give them over £2000 over the coming weeks for it.

The staff are not only excellent but in my case went the extra mile to ensure I could attend a social event with a confident smile. I struggle to think of anywhere where this would happen.
