Fantastic experience: The emergency service today was amazing. I phoned at 9 am got an appointment at 10 am. All finished by 10:30 after removal of an o troublesome loosetooth. Fantastic experience: Follow-up: Here I am again as I re-visited Boots Smileright dental clinic today -Tuesday 9th December 2025- and decided to be seen again by the very efficient, patient and kind Dr. Narina Maharaj this morning after seeing her on 6th May 2025 and being very satisfied by her explanations regarding a tooth falling apart under a bridge. Unfortunately, I was not blessed with the best set of adult teeth and spent my early teenage years visiting a dentist each week for a year and have had my first crown aged 13... Consequently I am not keen on dentistry work. Thumbs up for Dr. Narina Maharaj who did not blame me for supposed "poor dental hygiene: wrong kind of brushing/flossing" and not seeing a dental hygienist -the only one time one did work on me they managed to destroy a beautifully restored tooth... To other dentists in town, please acknowledge that NO we are not all built the same way even regarding our teeth biological make-up. Again Dr. Narina Maharaj proved very professional and again very approachable and she offered me the time needed to ask all the questions for which I needed answers in order to -at some point- make a financially expensive decision as well as an upsetting one: implant or denture?!? Thanks to her expertise as well as her genuine kindness, my mind is appeased and I feel my auto-immune condition -largely due to high anxiety and which nastily flared up a few days ago- is now slowing down. Fantastic experience: The previous dentist I had here had left... he wasn't the best (really lacked good bedside manner) - but my new dentist at Smileright is really attentive, supportive and very mindful of both care and experience.

Negative experience: Had multiple fillings done. All of them hurt around two weeks later. Went back and now all of a sudden they need root canals or the fillings that they put in replaced. All on my own money. I spent upwards of £600 to be told I now need to spend over £2200 - what a joke. Bite is wrong too, and they want to charge an entirely new checkup fee to make that right. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Narina regarding Invisalign. She was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. She was very honest and told me that Invisalign might not be very beneficial for me, but it would be good to speak to the Orthodontist Dr Cristina who visits the clinic once a month. She explained everything in detail. The day before I had seen a dentist at another clinic who was useless, and not helpful at all. I was therefore not expecting too much from Dr Narina. They apologised that they didn’t have a receptionist on today, but were still very efficiency and saw me as quickly as they could. My dentist and my dental technician weee both wonderful! Negative experience: Had one of the worst dentist experiences ever when I went for my most recent appointment and will never be returning again. I went for a check up on a broken tooth and had an X-Ray. Was told I had an infection that was spreading and that it was irreversible. I wasn't offered any kind of treatment or antibiotics except for a £300 bill to have the remaining part of the tooth extracted. I was left shaken, upset and it threw my mental health into a downward spiral. I booked a follow up appointment at another Dentist in South Ham who saw me the next morning. They said I had an infection and that it could be resolved with either a tooth removal and/or antibiotics. At least I was clearly told what my options were instead of hearing trigger words such as infection, spreading and irreversible. I have since had the tooth removed and antibiotics to clear up the infection. I have used Smileright for 2 years and used to go regularly for check ups and to see the hygienist. I was even regularly recommending them to family and friends as it was always quiet when I went (possibly now not even a good sign). I've now changed my dentist and can safely say that I'll never be returning to Smileright ever again. I also used to get emails with promotions of £35 check ups but whenever you get there and pay its always more. I didn't have the energy to quibble it last time I was there due to my negative experience. Just think, is it always empty for a reason? That's all I'm saying. I've nothing else to add other than this was my experience and after 2 years of a happy experience, this was enough for me to never return again.

I turned up on a Saturday afternoon with multiple serious problems that I had avoided dealing with for over 7 months because I worried that it would bankrupt me..I expected a nightmare...They stayed an extra hour, and dealt with EVERYTHING, in such a calm, helpful, soothing and professional manner..its was a joy...and the final bill was so reasonable (Insanely good price), that I was compelled to write this review immediately after. Its been 5 hours later and I keep going to the bathroom to look at my teeth...They ain't Ever looked that white or clean in my entire life...Its a Christmas Miracle...so happy right now

Negative experience: I had dentures made by Dayah in July of this year. The dentures did not fit in my mouth properly so I returned them and they made me another set. However this set did not look new and were a worse fit than the first set she had made. I took them back nd explained they didn't fit again. Dayah sent me a letter apologising and explained she would refund me. That was on the 8th August. I am still waiting for my refund and they arent replying to my emails. I paid £1,250 so I would warn everyone not to go here for dental treatment. Do not waste your hard earned money. I have no dentures and no refund. Terrible place and Terrible service.
