Fantastic experience: I recently visited Todmorden Dental Care as a private patient, and I can honestly say it has been the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve always been quite nervous about dental treatment and had avoided going to the dentist for a while, but the level of care, professionalism, and kindness I received here completely changed how I feel. From the moment I arrived, the entire team made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and fully reassured throughout my treatment journey. I needed quite a lot of work done, including fillings, a root canal, and crowns, so I was understandably anxious at first. However, the team guided me through every step with patience, clarity, and genuine care. They constantly checked in on how I was feeling and made sure I was at ease at every stage. A special mention goes to Dr. Blessings, who is truly amazing. Her skill, attention to detail, and incredibly calming approach made the whole process so much easier than I ever expected. It’s now clear to me why she is so highly recommended locally—she absolutely deserves that reputation. She goes above and beyond for her patients, and you can really feel that dedication in the way she works. The pricing was also the best I found locally for the amount of treatment I needed, which made the experience even better. High-quality care, fair pricing, and a genuinely supportive team—Todmorden Dental Care delivers it all. If you’re looking for a private dentist, I would 100% recommend booking in here. The team is amazing, the service is exceptional, and they completely transformed my confidence in dental care. I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I have been to, and I have been to many as I move a lot. But I will be coming back here regardless of where I am living.

Negative experience: I’ve had a mix of experiences with this place. The last one I found particular irritating after having an appt arranged only for them to ring the night before to change the time to later in the day. Then a clean booked in with the hygienist next day (£85 for a whole 10 minutes) only to look in the mirror and nothing has changed with my teeth. I then get asked to pay a £25 deposit for the next check up in 6 months by a quite frankly rude receptionist. I just can’t help but feel I’ve been ripped off

His assistant Precious was tuned in to my needs and very helpful. They are both pleasant and friendly and made the ordeal so much more bearable. A big thank you

Negative experience: I do not recommend. Very rude young member of staff answering phone and being very patronising, apparently check ups are every 3 months, which we weren’t told. So now my son has been removed from the dentist and will have to wait 3 years to be put back on NHS list…………UNLESS I PAY FOR HIS TREATMENT! If they are full and he has to wait 3 years to get in, then why offer to do it same day if I pay cash??? Found a new dentist via 111, they advised that I need to report the receptionist/dentist as the information given wasn’t true and the manner in which I was spoken to by a member of staff was appalling. Either she was having a really bad day or she’s simply rude and giving out false information, luckily I record my calls to some companies because of the level of customer service you receive these days. To put the icing on the cake…..the problem was caused by the last appointment he had in which the dentist left a small piece of tooth which was causing the problem. Charging for children’s dental care when the child is only 12 is disgraceful. I highly recommend you DONT use this dentist.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful service. I phoned up to make an appointment and was informed that i am no longer registered as a patient at the practice. Due to lack of attendance and cancelling appointments this means i am struck off as a patient? Twice i made appointments they subsequently contacted to say they had been cancelled at short notice. The practise never contacted me to re arrange or to inform me that i am close to loosing my right to be an NHS patient? Receptionist on the phone refused to help or let me speak to management regarding my issues. It is safe to say if i have to go private, i won’t be doing it at this practice! Edit: please see practice’s reply below blatantly lying i did not fail to attend any appointments they were cancelled on me. Now i am left with no NHS dentist as a result. Money making racket!!

Negative experience: Booked emergency appointment via 111. - They didn’t actually have me booked in when I arrived. (Error on practice side) longer wait. ++ Receptionist was friendly and calm and answered all my questions with ease (unlike most) - Dentist I had seemed slightly unprofessional compared to dentists I’ve visited. I had to probe everything out of them or I would have walked away not knowing a thing about the procedure and potential future care. To add the touch was like a serial killers. Felt very awkward in there. Seems more like a dentist based around selling quick fix cosmetics rather than providing adequate support for tooth health. Very quick low effort job that hasn’t fixed much and still feeling pains. I will go private for future works but I will definitely not be using or returning to this practice. Got the job done at the bare minimum effort. but I wouldn’t feel like spending money on private work due to my experience. In fairness, negatives outweighed the positives for me and that’s why I won’t return.

Negative experience: 2/3 of my fillings have dropped out and I got told I had to wait 8 months for a check up because I hadn't been back for some time. This was while we were all in lockdown too. Joke of a service. Had nothing but issues with my teeth since I came to this place. Currently waiting to see a different dentist, I cannot wait to be clear of tod dentist forever. EDIT / RESPONSE TO OWNER: of course you don't have my name on the system, you removed me over lockdown because I hadn't attended your practice in a period of time. I have the right practice! Butchers. I now have a wonderful dental practice and no issues once they tidied up the mess I was left with.

Fantastic experience: The dentist are very professional and caring. I recently had an infected tooth extracted and new denture fitted. I was not expecting the extra teeth, or such a good fit (for NHS care) but what a bonus, I can eat normally, whistle my dog and click my horse. All impossible without the treatment from this surgery. I feel truly blessed to be a patient here

The receptionist was very friendly. The dentist was great very friendly and put me at ease. I can have anaesthetic for my next treatment which is reassuring.

However, my dentist, Blessings Ketani, has been so reassuring and patient with me, my fear has now dissipated and am so pleased with my progress so far!! The practice got her in to be seen straight away and were brilliant and very patient with her. And all follow up appointments have been prompt and brilliant. Very happy with the service.

Fantastic experience: The reception staff are welcoming and friendly. I met Cheranda, the dentist, for the first time today for a check up. She was very friendly and accommodating. It was the first time I enjoyed a trip to the dentist, as she made me feel relaxed and explained everything thoroughly. Was a great experience and would definitely recommend this dental surgery.

Negative experience: If you have a fear of dentists then I wouldn't bother. Had a panic attack during a procedure, asked them to talk to me 0 communication skills and just ignored me. Thanks for the dental phobia

Negative experience: Poor service from start to finish. Waited half an hour beyond my scheduled time. Treatment felt so unprofessional, assisted didn’t know what she needed to do, the doctor was rough and felt like was in a rush to finish. At the end he quoted me a price but at reception I was asked to pay more. I also asked the invoice to be emailed to me and had to chase them for a week to get. Couldn’t recommend less!
