Fantastic experience: Everyone is very kind and professional. I had a great experience.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE. I attended an initial appointment at the start of December and was clearly told I could have composite bonding completed before Christmas. I explained how difficult it was for me to get time off work, and an appointment was made for 22nd December. In the lead-up to the appointment, I received multiple calls chasing payment which I had already made and was even encouraged to cancel my loan cooling-off period, despite the fact they clearly knew the treatment would not be carried out on the day. I travelled two hours to the appointment, arrived at 5pm, and wasn’t seen until 5:20pm, only to then be told the procedure would not be done after all. This completely ruined my Christmas plans and was absolutely infuriating. To make matters worse, the surgery itself appeared dirty and unhygienic it felt like a bomb site. This was a total waste of time, misleading from the start, and handled extremely unprofessionally. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with synergy dental, I filled in the form online and someone contacted me within 30 minutes, I sent pictures over of my teeth to WhatsApp and booked my appointment, everything was so easy and the finance application was easy and they kept me informed about everything, my whitening trays and the design of my teeth and getting me booked in, when I needed to change something about my teeth and the shade it was no problem everything was so easy and exciting

Negative experience: Avoid Taken day off work. Arrived ten mins before appointment and was seen 25 mins after allotted appointment time. Was given injection to numb mouth. Was then found the the chair was no longer working and sent away. At home mouth numb for 7 hours. Told I would be contacted to arrange another appointment, call never came. 5 days later rang myself to request my deposit back, no apology on phone just told I will have it back after 28 days. Made a complaint but again no interest. Received money back after around 25 days. Shocking service, plenty of other local dentists around. Avoid this one

Positive experience: Dentist works hard but wait time was 45 minutes and there usually is a wait time and I only mention it as I made a mistake with an appointment time of 30 mins once and was charged £30 .The staff are nice but found this unfair as the next appointment in the waiting room took my slot .I think a little bit of flexibility should have been used

Positive experience: I receive an excellent service with Synergy Dental. Professional, courteous and communicative. My only gripe is I was told to use Corsodyl mouthwash which, although a good product, can lead to staining of the teeth. Following treatment, when my teeth are discoloured, they do not polish my teeth which are left with brown stains - even when omitting tes/coffee and red wine from my diet.I have asked in the past if they offer a polish service which they used to do automatically.This is a hidden price rise, but more importantly it leaves me reluctant to follow their hygiene instructions in future.

Fantastic experience: So easy to work with all friendly staff

Negative experience: Outside of practice is very uneven and overgrown with weeds, not very welcoming. Kept waiting approx 15 minutes whilst dentist had discussion with receptionist regarding another patient in very unfavourable terms! This should have been done privately.

Positive experience: No problems could do with not waiting so long when appointment is booked for a certain time.

Fantastic experience: Synergy is a very busy dental clinic. The reason I believe, is because they are very good at what they do. Everyone is accommodating of dates and times for appointments. Specially when you work out of town and have to travel back etc. I’ve had to wait a few times but that’s because they are accommodating to others and emergencies, so for me, no need to go elsewhere. Use only Synergy for all Dental related issues. I’d happily recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: I joined Synergy as an emergency patient a week ago for my impacted wisdom tooth. Their emergency pricing is very competitive in comparison to other dentists in Ormskirk, costing just £80 for the appointment and treatment. The dentist took a 360 x-ray of my whole mouth which I have only seen at my childhood orthodontics appointments, not something you see at everyday dentists. She concluded that my tooth will have to be extracted with the oral surgeon and gave me antibiotics. The antibiotics did not work and I made contact on Wednesday after work to book in which the amazing receptionist said they have a backlog of appointments with the surgeon but will call when there is space. At 9am Thursday, the next day, they fitted me in for 11:30 that very same day! I have never had any type of dental procedure outside of cosmetic dentistry, not even a filling so I was very frightened. The oral surgeon was absolutely amazing! He was the kind of person who is very professional, has in-depth knowledge of my situation and my health conditions that impact local anaesthetics working. Officiant and non-nonsense of dramatics but compassionate and caring! I explained I've never had anything other than cosmetic procedures done in the past which he really empathised with me, going from 0-100 in one go. He is a perfect surgeon! He sat me down and had me really numb before he did anything, to the point I felt no pressure which is what frightens me the most. He was so gentle and caring, assuring me he would not do anything without me giving the go ahead. Tooth was out in less than 10 seconds, which must of been a challenge considering it was partially erupted. Synergy is a lovely practice and if you need any dental surgery doing that may be frightening to you and keep putting off, I would 100% recommend Synergy!

Fantastic experience: I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this ormskirk Dentist. I have always since bad experiences as a child had a really anxiety about going to the dentist. Natalie and her assistant are just so compassionate and caring but also really brilliant at what they do. I had to have a fractured tooth out today and was petrified but with reassurance it was done with no pain and so quickly whilst all the time being reassured and cared for. Also had Terry The Tooth stress ball to hold during my ordeal. Really can’t thank them enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Natalie is one of the most accommodating dentists I've ever had and it's thanks to her that I don't come to the dentist a terrified wreck. She has accommodated every request and answered every question I have had without comment or complaint, and there's no judgement if I bring headphones or something to fidget with while I have fillings done, or if I need tinted glasses, or if I want extra numbing etc. Every question I might have or vague request is taken seriously. I have, to date, never been in pain or discomfort during a procedure. She has been an absolute godsend with helping me understand both my prescriptions, paperwork and procedures along with navigating dental terms when she didn't really have to. Thank you Natalie! However, while this is not the fault of Synergy Dental Practice, the service used for monthly payments (Tabeo) is a little awkward to navigate and often does not allow you to make monthly payments - I understand this for me, as I am a student as of writing and have no fixed income, but it refused to allow either of my working parents to register. This means I am paying full price up front every time I need a procedure. If you are in a similar position of needing to opt for monthly payments, check before with Tabeo or you could have a bit of a shock. Despite that nitpick, I don't think I would or could choose any other place after coming here.

Fantastic experience: The lady dentist I saw this morning was very efficient and thorough! She makes you feel as ease. I have been coming to this dentist for over 10 years and they have always been lovely! I would never go anywhere else!

Positive experience: Staff are always lovely. Been going here since I was a child and never had a bad experience. One thing I have noticed of recent though is the lack of care in terms of the cleanliness and tidiness of the entrance. The front of the building is full of huge weeds which look really unsightly and the reception area appears dirty: lots of crumbs on the floor, cobwebs around the chairs, sides which haven’t been wiped or dusted. The surgeries are always very clean, but if I were a new customer arriving it would not make a good first impression.

Fantastic experience: I’m always feel very comfortable with my dentist, she explains exactly what needs to be done but more importantly why. I’m a nervous patient and I always find the dentists at Synergy are very understanding about this.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Synergy in Burscough for about a year and a half now, had a fair bit of treatment. Always had the same dentist who is really nice - she puts you at ease and explains treatments and all options clearly. Appointments are punctual and the staff are all lovely and friendly. As I am no longer an NHS patient - my last dentist kicked me off during covid, I have found Synergy prices to be reasonable against other private practices.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient at Burscough practice, I was looking for a new permanent dentist, after many bad experiences with previous dentists. I needed a tooth extraction, and have to say it was an extremely smooth procedure. I felt minimal pain from injections, and the tooth was extracted before I knew it by Dr Taylor. I would highly recommend this Dentist and a big thank you to all the lovely pleasant staff.

Negative experience: My two young children visited the practice today for the first time, unfortunately it was not a good experience and we won’t be returning, (both my wife and i are private patients here also) . The dentist’s (dental nurse was lovely as was the receptionist) communication with my children and my wife was something to be desired. As a fellow clinicians there is a way to talk to children (especially when they will be understandably nervous) and to the parents about their care.
