Fantastic experience: I first visited Wellington Dental practice because I had several back teeth missing & eating was difficult. I was also unhappy with my front teeth as they were short (apparently due to grinding them in my sleep). After a consultation with Andy I chose to start by extending my front teeth. They were a great improvement however the continued grinding of my teeth at night resulted in some being broken. However, the service I got from Andy and the team was excellent and after repairing/replacing them they provided a tooth shield to wear at night. Part of my initial consultation with them had involved discussions about in-plants to fill some of the gaps at the sides of my mouth. After a further clear, detailed and useful explanation of the procedures and costs, I decided to proceed. The equipment they have is extraordinary, more like being in a spaceship. I have built up a lot of trust and confidence with Andy and Wellington Dental Practice. The result has been excellent. I am now able to eat more confidently / effectively and therefore consume better nutrition. Yes, in-plants are not cheap, but it makes so much more sense to have them done locally rather than travelling abroad. I now have beautiful set of natural looking gnashes protected by tooth shield. I am grateful to Barry, Andy and the team at WDP and have no hesitation in recommending them. Two words to sum up… 'Friendly excellence’ Philip

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Wellington Dental Practice now for nearly 18 months to correct a number of long standing dental issues that were both serious and complex. The issues required surgical and periodontal intervention, implant placement, and dental restorative work. The doctors at the practice came up with a comprehensive plan of corrective procedures. It was quite a list but we ultimately did every procedure. It took some time because I had to do some healing after some of the more major procedures like the implant placement. I cannot possibly give enough praise to such and excellent group of dentists of every subspecialty you would ever need. I worked with Andy, Dan, and Calum and their dental assistants as well as the hygenist Hannah. What a fantasitc group of people to work with. I am thankful I found them and most apprciative that we finally fixed some chronic problems. Thank you. Scott

Fantastic experience: Can not praise and thank Nicole (Dental Hygienist) enough for her kindness and calming manner. Having my teeth cleaned is not on my list of favourite things to do, and so I have avoided it for quite some time. But I couldn't put it off any longer. The first visit (bottom set) was calm, almost dare I say, relaxing, and that was down to Nicole. She explained everything, and checked I was ok throughout the appointment. It made coming back for the top set easier. However, while driving to the 2nd appointment, I had a personal situation which set of my anxiety. It went sky high and the panic of not being able to continue with the appointment only made it worse. Lorraine, on reception, was fantastic. She was able to discreetly let Nicole know the situation and together we all got through it. Sid the Sloth Squeeze ball was perfect in this situation (If you know, you know). Thank you so much for you kindness, understanding and patience. Can't say I'm loving the idea of coming back in 3-4 months, but the fear has definitely dispersed because I know I'm in good hands.

Fantastic experience: The dentist that I am registered with in Taunton , told me that I needed an extraction of the upper back molar but wouldn't undertake the procedure due to the tooth being near the sinus cavity. They referred me to Andrew Armstrong at the Wellington dental practice and he was brilliant, talked me through the whole procedure and I never felt a thing , I cannot recommend Andrew enough , if you need pain free dentistry he is the man for the job .....10/10 thank you Andrew

Fantastic experience: Like many I do not look forward to seeing a dentist as have had quite a few horror stories over the years. Dan is most definately the best dentist I have ever had the pleasure (if you can call it that!) of seeing. Makes you feel relaxed, explains what he is doing and why and then does and excellent job, thank you and your sidekick Gemma. The whole practice is professional and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I experienced some issues with infection after a tooth extraction, typically these issues happened at the weekend. I called the practice number and left a message, within 10 minutes the practice owner had called me back and arranged to see me, this resulted in a prescription for some antibiotics, plus some additional aftercare a few days later to check everything was healing properly. I felt genuinely looked after throughout the whole process, the communication and information I received was excellent. Thankyou for going above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: Long existing patient of the practice and I was referred to Andy in the implant centre. Process was well explained and I was kept informed at each stage. I received follow up calls to make sure I was progressing as expected. All of the team were very caring and supportive and I felt I could contact them for help if I needed it. Andy was reassuring and calm all the way through that whatever treatment was needed he was able to provide it. This was much appreciated for this type of treatment which is involved. With the quality of treatment I received I am very happy to recommend the implant team.

Negative experience: Wasn't impressed. Care when received was fine, service is very much company first customer second. Dentists come and go, work a day or two here and there, and despite having absolutely no preference have to fit in with them.

Fantastic experience: My first visit with Nicole ( the hygienist) Probably my first visit with a hygienist where I didn't experience any discomfort at all. She was very gentle, very informative and told me what she was about to do before doing it at each stage. The best hygienist I have experienced.

Fantastic experience: I visited the surgery today for my hygienist appointment - I usually dread these! I had a new lady so who knew what lay in wait…. I have to say she was amazing! So thorough, explained everything, modelled techniques and offered realistic suggestions. I can’t believe I’ve got to the age I am and not been told some of these things!! Thank you Nicole!!

Fantastic experience: Comment from Susan Strawbridge. I have just returned from the Wellington Dental Practice. WOW! I have two new teeth after having a dental implant. I was a little apprehensive when starting this treatment, no need, Andy, Jasmine and Clare, were really good and kind and truly it didn't hurt at all. Fantastic experience: I attended an appointment at Wellington dental practice to have an old filling replaced with Calum Finch. I am a very nervous dental patient, in particular having needles, however, Calum and his dental nurse were extremely kind and patient. They fully explained everything that was going to happen and paid particular attention to making the needle as pain free as possible. With the techniques Calum used I hardly felt a thing, which was such a relief. This was so much more specific to my needs in comparison to previous experiences. If you are a nervous patient, I would most definitely recommend the practice and in particular Calum.

Fantastic experience: I had a molar root canal with necessary oral surgery recently. The treatment was undertaken by Martyn D and assisted by Frey - absolutely pain free and a brilliant result. Would fully recommend. All reception staff were friendly, professional and the practice was calm and very pleasant surroundings.

After my 12-year-old son had fell off his bike and injured his two front teeth, Barry opened the practice outside of regular hours to see him right away. The care, compassion, and professionalism we experienced was outstanding. Barry not only eased my son's fears but also did an incredible job repairing his teeth—they are amazing and look completely natural! It’s rare to find a dentist who goes above and beyond like this. Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of the friendly and professional treatment provided by all at this practice I have recently become a patient of Gerado who made me feel very welcome and gave me great confidence having received less favourable treatment from previous dentist. I had to call the practice for assistance out of hours and Barry and his assistant did not hesitate to see me and provide the help I needed. I felt very guilty disturbing their Sunday however they both indicated it was no trouble to them. Thank you to all concerned.

I have had several implants over the last year and l cannot recommend Andy highly enough, from the initial consultation and throughout my treatment all my questions were sensitively answered and l was reassured..The final result is amazing and the implants look fabulous and feel just like my own teeth. Fantastic experience: I have been attending the practice for the last 18 months or so for some challenging dental issues and have been under the care of Daniel. It has been a long journey through my treatment and quite an emotional one for me at times. Daniel has been so very kind, understanding and professional throughout the process and with his help, I have made really good progress. Fantastic experience: Today I had my new tooth installed following the dental implant by Andy Anderson. It looks perfect! The process was explained in detail and required a bone graft, which I wasn't looking forward to. Andy and his team (Jasmine and Claire) made it straightforward and painless and the final result is extremely satisfactory. I'm thrilled that I can dispense with my temporary plate and I've already forgotten that the implant isn't my own original tooth.

Fantastic experience: My dentist recommended the practice for an implant. Due to a past poor experience I was very nervous, with high levels of anxiety to overcome. On arrival at the practice the staff were welcoming, it felt good immediately. Mr Armstrong was so assuring throughout my treatment, my confidence in him, the staff and facilities they offer has reduced my anxiety levels greatly. The implant was a breeze and I would highly recommend the practice. Be honest if you are nervous and they will react accordingly to ease your concerns. Five stars don't seem enough in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: I have just had a tooth implant at Somerset Implant Centre. I am a nervous patient but should not have worried as the friendly staff immediately put me at ease. I had the most wonderful care by Dr Armstrong ,jasmine and Claire and I am delighted with the result. This is, by far, the best practice I have attended and I can highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I visited Wellington Dental Practice for Invisalign treatment under Calum Finch. Calum explained all aspects of the treatment process and ensured I was comfortable with all the steps. Communication was brilliant, updating me on the arrival of my new aligners throughout the treatment, and booking appointments was easy and convenient. I was suffering with longstanding jaw pain from bruxism and Calum referred me to Gerardo, who advised Botox injections in my jaw muscles which really helped. I felt very safe and in capable hands with both dentists, and the whole team. I am over the moon with the results of the Invisalign treatment, and would highly recommend to anyone. I feel so much more confident with my smile, and wish I'd considered Invisalign sooner. Big thank you to Calum, Kirsty, Gerardo and the all the team for your care and advice, for all being so nice and making this a really good experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Wellington Dental Practice for 6 years now and I cannot recommend them enough. The staff are brilliant, the premises and equipment is always spotless. I drive an hour to get there and I wouldn’t change. I recently had a filling done, which didn’t settle down after 10 days. I phoned and they squeezed me in the next day to sort me out. I now have no sensitivity issues and am really very grateful to have them as my dentists.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my own very lovely dentist at Lakeside as she works closely with the team here. Following a horrible accident and lots of damage to my face I’m in need of quite a bit of work. So far the staff and dental team here have been amazing but I wanted to mention a gentleman called Fley. I went along nervously for a CT scan and not only did he explain everything clearly, he was patient, kind and reassuring. After the CT he took the time to show me and explain what we could see but also had knowledge of who I would be seeing next, an understanding of what had happened to me and again a really confident, reassuring manner of what can be done for me. I don’t think I’ve encountered anyone who has taken the time like that to explain what’s happening and what’s next in that way since I had the accident so I’m very grateful. Thanks to all at WDP

Negative experience: Very disappointing and underwhelming experience. I had a consultation with Andy Armstrong regarding lower wisdom teeth removal. Andy looked at my recent CT Scan to tell me I did not have my lower wisdom teeth, only to look in my mouth and tell me I did (which I knew). I’d sent a dental report ahead of time, this hadn’t been read. I was finally told if I haven’t heard anything in 10 days regarding whether I could get my teeth removed he’d probably forgotten and ring the office. I’m still waiting 4 weeks later! Not the best £95 I’ve ever spent!

Fantastic experience: I have recently finished Invisalign orthodontic treatment with Dr Calum Finch. I can not recommend him highly enough. He took a great care to ensure that I fully understood the procedure, how long it would take and how it might impact my daily life during the treatment period. Interestingly, a friend was going through the same treatment at a Welsh dentist at the same time, and my experience was far superior to hers. She was not given anywhere near the same level of information or care that I received from Calum. Calum took great care to ensure that my teeth were as perfect as they could be at the end of the invisalign treatment and I am delighted with the end result. I highly recommend Calum as a dentist. Fantastic experience: My dentist Daniel Longmore at Wellington dental practice in wellington told me I had to have an Temperal Arteritis blood test A S A P after finding my pains in teeth weren't due to tooth ache etc. I immediately went to A and E musgrove hospital had blood test as advised by. Daniel Longmore and it was Positive. I was told I was lucky it was caught in time. I was given 60 mg steroid tablets in hospital at once to get them in my system and 60 mg each day until hospital appointment at 9Am on 24th June 2024 when I see more Doctors. I have been so lucky to have have such a brilliant dentist. I was told by Hospital Temperal Arteritis is often overlooked and left too late. Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been patients at the Wellington Dental Practice for the past twelve years. We have always been treated with genuine care and professionalism by all members of staff. For the last three years we have been extremely fortunate to have Calum Finch as our dentist. A few weeks ago, an old front tooth crown decided to bow out. Calum immediately set to work, and the end result was new crown indistinguishable from its partner to the left. At every stage of the procedure Calum’s attention to detail and care given was without doubt exceptional. The final result was a crown fit for a king, or in my case a queen! It is worth pointing out that both my husband and I are in our early seventies and over the decades we have experienced significant changes and improvements in dentistry. From the outset at a relaxed consultation Callum answered all my questions with clarity and explained the range of options open to me and the attendant costs. I was then able to take my time and come to an informed decision on my preferred option and we jointly agreed a plan. At each of the 4 appointments Callum supported by Kirsty Clamp, his dental nurse dealt with me in a reassuring and caring manner which gave me much needed confidence during the procedures. I am delighted with the final result and the recommended aftercare suggestions. Callum and his team are most definitely 5 Star. Thankyou both.

Fantastic experience: I was helped today after being in alot of pain and feeling desperate for help. Dr Barry Kasai treated me with kindness from the moment we spoke on the phone. Nothing was too much trouble, he advised me very quickly what would help with pain control in between meeting me at the practice on his day off to help me. Fantastic experience: I recently had a lower wisdom tooth extracted by Andy Armstrong and had such a pleasant experience. I was incredibly nervous about having this procedure done, so much so I had put it off for years. After seeing various specialists they all told me it would be a hospital removal, but Andy was able to do at the practice which minimised time away from my newborn son. When I met Andy, I immediately felt at ease. I had such a huge fear of the dental chair but he made each visit a pleasant experience (I still can’t believe I am typing that!). Andy’s brilliant skill and expertise has left me with no numbness and very minimal pain (if any) post extraction. Andy and Jas really did make my experience and have changed my whole perception on dentistry, actually curing my fear of the dental chair!! I cannot thank them enough. As well as this, after visiting many dental practices over the past few years I didn’t think a truly friendly dental practice existed, which may sound harsh but honestly walking into Wellington Dental Practice was a different experience. From the first phone call with the reception team I just felt so at ease. They are incredible with nervous patients and are all so friendly and kind, it made such a big difference to me, so much so I am now going to be a registered member. A truly brilliant experience and an exceptional team. I cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Following an accident which gradually resulted in all but one of my upper jaw molars breaking, Andy Armstrong helped me to understand the best options for enabling me to eat again properly! It was expensive, but worth it. The process was drawn out, but Andy and his team worked confidently through some quite tricky processes including sinus lifts and bone grafting. Both sides of my mouth needed work, although this was done as separate operations. Andy always kept a friendly and cheerful conversation going while working, explaining what he was doing, which enabled me to feel as relaxed as possible during long (2 hour) sessions with operations going on in my mouth. His assistants working in close harmony; my one small suggestion would be to introduce them by name.

Fantastic experience: Having discovered a nasty root infection my dentist recommended Wellington dental practice to sort my problem. The treatment I received there was faultless. Infection removed, bone graft and implant all performed with care by Andy Armstrong, who explained the procedures clearly and put me - an initially petrified victim - completely at my ease throughout. Thank you to the whole team; reception, radiology and surgery. I will certainly recommend the practice.

I had a bone graft and dental implant from Andy. I can honestly say, and this as a nervous patient, that I did not experience any pain nor discomfort. Worth every penny. I am delighted with my new tooth.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Somerset from the Midlands just before the first lock down. During lock down I broke a crown and was recommended to see an Andy Armstrong at the Wellington Dental practice. I couldn’t recommend the practice more highly. After being diagnosed with a serious gum infection, I had to have a front tooth extracted. The infection resulted in lose of bone from above the tooth. This resulted in a two-year course of treatment to install a dental implant. This involved several surgical procedures including bone grafting, instillation of a temporary bridge, implant instillation and further bone grafting and finally a gum graft procedure and teeth whitening. All this was made possible by Andy Armstrong, Sarah Clarke and his excellent team. They made the long and complex surgical procedures painless and easy. I couldn’t be happier with the final result and crown fitting, resulting in a natural result that has made the all the treatment seem worthwhile. The whole procedure carried out with care and professionalism with the comfort of the patient being paramount throughout. I wouldn’t trust my dental health with anyone else. Alan Johnson

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful group of experts have never had such painless treatment well organised Would highly recommend

Negative experience: I got acquainted with this dentistry when I had a toothache and needed a root canal work . They calculated a rather large amount for me, but I never spared money for my health and paid. Everything went well, the pain went away. But a couple of months later the same tooth hurt again. I turned to another dentist, who took an x-ray and said that the canals of the tooth had festered and a large bag of purulence had formed under the tooth. He prescribed me antibiotics and advised me to go to the dentist who had “cured” my tooth before and that he was curioused in how they would be justified. I made an appointment again at Wellington Dental Practice with the same dentist (Martin Damyanov), who told me that the only way out of the situation was to do tooth extraction. I was shocked by the news, since I had never had teeth extraction before and had always paid for their treatment. I asked why I had such problems, to which Martin began to openly make up things as he went along, relying on my naivety, that micro cracks most likely formed in the tooth after or before filling the canals. I asked why we, in this case, performed such an expensive operation if there were microcracks (and why he didn’t see them under a microscope). To which he did not give a clear answer. I had to have a tooth removed because the huge amount of purulence (accumulated after the operation) in the gums threatened my health. Before this incident, I had performed several similar operations, but this was the first time with such consequences. Fantastic experience: I recently completed my treatment for a second implant to replace a rotten tooth and once again I cannot fault the advice and care provide by the WDP Team. They used some of the latest technology to take X-rays to establish if an implant would be successful, and subsequently took a series of 3D scan images of my upper and lower teeth to ensure the best fit for the implant. Gone are the days of the impressions using a metal tray and moulding compound. The first implant has been in for nearly two years without any issues whatsoever. I have to say I was quite nervous of what to expect when having it done the first time, but the Team were brilliant in making me feel at ease and more relaxed. I would certainly recommend having implant if you can afford to do so. Not just from a cosmetic aspect but more importantly a practical point of view in helping to digest food. Both my implants were rear molars. I would to thank Andy and Calum and the rest of the Team for being great.

Fantastic experience: The Somerset Implant Centre at the Wellington Dental Practice was recommended to me as I needed both implants and reconstruction (capping) on some of my teeth. I have not been disappointed and cannot praise enough the attentive treatment that I received from Mr Andrew Armstrong and all at the Practice. My treatment started with a consultation with Andrew who clearly explained my options and the likely cost for the work. All in all it has taken two years to complete the work. Starting with capping worn teeth on my lower jaw occasioned by having in the past been a pipe smoker for many years. I was advised to get my diabetes under control before commencing with the implants which accounted for the delay in starting the implant work. The concern was that the implants might not take and, therefore, I could spend a lot of money for little benefit. Once my diabetes was under control implant surgery was undertaken starting with a number of scans and impressions of my mouth taken. I was given an interim removable full upper denture kept in place using Fixodent whilst the final removable denture was being made. I can now enjoy my food apart from the cosmetic improvements. I can confidently eat without fear of a mishap and keep my teeth in for the whole day in comfort. Throughout the whole two years Andrew explained what he was going to do and with his team have treated me with patience, understanding and kindness. I started my treatment being an extreme gagger and by the end I had this reflex under control (even during a two hour session) thanks to the advice and encouragement that I received. I have no hesitation in recommending Andrew and the team at the Wellington Dental Practice. April 2023

Fantastic experience: Being very anxious dental patient, due to previous dental treatment in the1960s with school dentist. When I moved to Wellington,I signed on at Wellington dental practice, as I knew I would have to have some treatment done. My dentist is call calum, he is very patience with me, and gives me confidence to see him again for dental treatment. When I have dental treatment calum explains very thing to me,step by step.and if I get too anxious, he stops and after a few minutes, he then finishes the treatment. I would highly recommend this dental practice to my freinds, and anyone who is anxious about going to the dentist .

I transferred to Wellington Dental Practice and had a consultation with Mr Andy Armstrong. He was very good at explaining the various procedures required for this. I also did not want to have any animal products in my treatment including the crowns. Mr Armstrong respected my wishes and did his best to accommodate my request. Mr Armstrong and his team were excellent and I received very good treatment, care and support from them. Sarah Clarke, Treatment Coordinator was always at hand if I needed information and advice. Sarah is well informed and has very good interpersonal skills. I am very pleased with the two implants. So a big thank you to Mr Armstrong and all his team.

Fantastic experience: Was referred here for wisdom teeth extracted under conscious sedation. Was terrified on arrival, but staff were excellent and talked me through exactly what would happen. Was waiting for them to start administering the sedation and next thing I knew i was being told I was ready to go home.
