Fantastic experience: I’ve been visiting this dental practise for 25 years now. Always most friendly and accommodating. Esther’s warm welcome and efficiency sets the scene. My teeth are quite sensitive, but Saima makes the hygenist part of my appointment quite painless. She is thorough and caring, noticing when one experiences a slight twinge or difficulty when the excess water went down the wrong way, halting the cleansing to give one time to recompose oneself. I always think how gentle Marcello’s examinations are. He also patiently explained how to clean my wisdom teeth/gums. I leave feeling confident for the next year; reassuring given osteoporosis concerns.

Not only did I manage to get an appointment very quickly and at a time that was convenient for me, but the quality of the care that was provided and the level of information that was given to me prior to my wisdom tooth extraction were second to none. I would very highly recommend this practice, especially if - like myself - you're in need of a more complex procedure that many other practices are simply unable to undertake.

Negative experience: Good of them to give me an appointment at short notice but £75 when I was only in the chair for 5 minutes? As a long standing patient I was disappointed.

Positive experience: The reception staff - Esther & Louise - could not have been more friendly & helpful in getting me an emergency appointment for the same day. Thank you! The 4 stars is for the cost: having understood the cost for the appointment was £75 (quoted by phone on booking - I was happy to pay this as it was so last minute) I was actually charged over £200 as the appointment was done based on the length of time I spent in the chair. I had not appreciated that & left feeling rather embarrassed.

Fantastic experience: Dr Laura Hills @Watercress Dental is really lovely and extremely patient. My visits to the dentist are very easy and not unpleasant at all. I would certainly recommend Laura Hills if you want a lovely confident, capable and caring dentist.

Fantastic experience: Appointment with Madeleine on 30.1.2023 was on time, things explained and all went well. Appt. 24.07.23 was perfect with everything explained and my comments listened to and answered. Left feeling so much better! Appt.2.5.24with Marcello for routine check up. He was very thorough and treated sharp edges on old fillings and took xrays . All on time and with careful care! Appointment on September 30th was well on time for a replacement filling and was done smoothly and efficiently in 20 minutes. Appt 18.02.25 with Anna was on time, thorough and carefully done.

Fantastic experience: I first used Watercress Dental for a broken wisdom tooth several years ago (don't eat pork scratchings 3 days before your honeymoon!), when Tom repaired it in time for a holiday and planned for a crown but life got in the way and the "temporary" repair was so good it lasted 3 years until recently, when I started getting hyper-sensitivity in the tooth, making it uncomfortable to eat and even breathing in cold air would set it off. My own fault... I lived with it for a couple of weeks hoping it would go away but now, again due to go away on a big holiday for 3 weeks, I didn't want it to get worse or impact it. I saw Marcello and after a few x-rays it was determined that the previous temporary repair had reached the end of the line and it was time for a full root canal. A week later I saw Fawad for the job but some complications with severe inflammation meant that the job had to be abandoned halfway and the tooth packed with medicine and temporarily refilled again and a week of ibuprofen needed to calm it down enough to finish the job. Yesterday (2 weeks later) the job was completed and I'm good to go on holiday, pain and sensitivity free. I'd heard nothing but horror stories about wisdom tooth root canal surgery but found completely the opposite with Fawad and the two dental nurses who assisted him. Even throughout the complications while in the chair he was super calm and surprisingly informative, answering my questions and telling me what he was doing, why, and the expected effects/problems it would solve, while checking in that I was alright throughout. I don't generally write reviews of healthcare professionals, but felt compelled to write this as a result of Fawad's patience, expertise and overall nature. I'm sure he would agree that the issue turned out to be much more complicated/long-winded/invasive than initially expected once inside the tooth and yet I left after nearly 2 hours in the chair each time with no pain after the anaesthetic wore off and on both occasions I went from his chair back to my office chair and cracked on with my day as normal.

Only negative comment would be that I noticed the hygienist assistant didn’t wash her hands before putting gloves on but hopefully this was a ‘one off’ occurrence.

The attention and care he received was excellent from start to finish, which identified that he needs further treatment. He was treated with the utmost respect and care, for which he is truly thankful. Previous review:-- I am writing this review on behalf of my Mum as she isn't techno minded, but wanted to review this marvellous dentist. In her own words:- "Having an emergency of a front tooth falling out, just before Easter when I planned to visit family, rushing straight to my dentist I was very lucky to find him in the reception. Unbeknown to me it was his lunch break. However, without any hesitation he immediately agreed to undertake the repair and do it straight away, forgoing his lunch. He is a superb dentist and the kindness and care shown was second to none. I must say he is always so kind and did a wonderful repair on my tooth. His name is Dr Marcello Tulone. Negative experience: UPDATE: This is how they deal with complaints - Mr Tulone cancelled my appointment because of this review, after I arranged a free of charge appointment. If I could give 0 stars I would. I received a referral for TMJ 3/4 years ago, upon hearing nothing for a couple of years (it was around Covid) I called the practice and was told they were unable to chase the referral and I just had to wait. After a recent a visit, I found out this is not true and the practice can chase or re-refer if the wait has been excess. It has been a month since I was told that and brought this to the practice's attention. In that time I have had to chase 5/6 times (told something different each time) and no action has still been taken. I have been a patient here for over 10 years and the lack of care and customer service is shocking. They are now trying to get me to pay to be seen again in order to be re-referred. EDIT - RESPONSE TO BELOW: Firstly, you did keep it 'a mystery' by telling me that the only thing I could do was wait when I tried to chase this up a few years ago. And as I have made clear, I have no problem with being seen in order to be re-referred however nothing was done until yesterday but I do have a problem with you trying to charge me for an appointment that I would not need, had the practice followed up the original referral in the first place, as it should have done. Interesting you note the potential wasting of your time and resources but had no issue with the fact I had chase up 5/6 times over the last month in order for anything to be done. Finally, I have not visited a dentist at this practice since Tom left (or maybe once), only the hygienist and I have lived away for the last few years. But I certainly won't be returning.

I made some calls and luckily Watercress Dental House had a free appointment with Ann. She and her assistant did an absolutely fantastic job. Using a variety of methods, she cleaned my teeth, removing lots of plaque. When I was asked to look at my teeth afterwards in a mirror, I couldn't believe the difference.
