Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Matt Griffiths at Langmans for several years now. Routine appointments are carried out efficiently with good advice and feedback provided. When necessary extra treatment is provided at the time, or within a satisfactory time frame, with the patient's views or requests given priority. Recently after a weekend of pain I rang to try and get a short notice appointment. Reception staff managed to find a slot to accommodate me within twenty four hours and I was seen by Dr Katrine Kojouri. Her thorough examination, explanation and recommendations about the specific problem that I was suffering from were totally reassuring, and I actually look forward to completing the treatment early in the New Year. It's rarely that I have to seek an appointment between routine visits, but Langmans step up every time. Couldn't ask for better treatment all round.

Fantastic experience: I very foolishly didn't go to the dentist for over three decades after having four extractions when I was about 11, then wearing braces for a year or so. By the time I was 16, I just stopped going to the dentist altogether. When I reached my late 40s, my teeth were in a dreadful state. I'd often get agonising toothache, my breath was terrible and I could only eat on one side of my mouth. Something had to be done. I plucked up the courage to go to Langmans and haven't looked back. They've been absolutely wonderful every step of the way. Both my dentist, Laura, and my hygienist, Mala, won my full trust within minutes of meeting them. I've since had a few extractions and some fillings and every procedure has been flawless. My only regret is not going sooner! Thanks to all the team at Langmans - I can honestly say they've changed my life.

Fantastic experience: I went in today as I am due for an operation shortly and dental hygiene is important. The dentist removed a tooth c painlessly and descaled my teeth while the injection took effect. I was given written details of what to do if it bled and advice and on securing my denture and advice on renewing it. I have used them for years and was particularly impressed on this occasion.

Negative experience: 0 stars but can't select that Phoned a few months ago to say i had lost a filling. They could not fit me in until the week before my actual check up. Arranged a year ago. So I asked if it could be sorted at my actual planned appointment. I was told yes. Today the dentist hardly touched my teeth for my check up. Couldn't do my filling as I'd only been given a 5 min appointment. Reception argued it was a 10 min appointment. Anyway, struggled to then get an actual appointment to sort filling. 9am 1st Dec I've been offered. Which means a lot of begging favours to get home stuff sorted that early in the morning. Otherwise it'll be 2026. Then was told my bill was £27 for the privilege. Someone is laughing all the way to the bank. And it's not me!
Hello Anita, we’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your recent visit.
To clarify, routine check-up appointments are not long enough to include additional treatment such as a filling, which is why our receptionist tried to explain that there may have been a misunderstanding. We would never intentionally book a patient for treatment without the appropriate time needed.
We appreciate it can be frustrating when appointments aren’t available immediately. Our receptionist did offer the earliest appointment we had, and we are always happy to contact patients if an earlier cancellation becomes available.
Regarding the fee, this was the standard NHS charge for a check-up, set nationally and not by the practice.

Fantastic experience: It was my first appointment with the hygienist MK. This appointment was not recommended by my dentist but I felt my gums were getting worse in areas and needed a bit more attention and a deep clean. I asked if an appointment with the hygienist would benefit me so I booked in off my own back and I’m glad I did. The appointment showed that yes I have areas of pockets in the gums that are bigger than they would like them to be but with the right care MK was confident these can improve but also telling me they were not as bad as I first thought they were. Everything had a good clean and polish, my oral routine was asked about and the size floss brushes I used were checked to see if they were the correct size and even getting a voucher for an electric toothbrush as I have always used a manual toothbrush it was explained an electric toothbrush is much better. I have another appointment booking in to clean under the gum line in these areas of pockets……happy things can now start to improve before getting any worse ……very happy

Fantastic experience: Always good friendly care. They don't try to talk you into anything unnecessary, do the routine stuff very well and will always fit you in for emergencies. They have an in-house lab and do tricky stuff like implants themselves. Like pretty much everyone nowadays I'm with them as a private client but their basic fees for checkups etc are reasonable and if you need more extensive work they'll go through all the costs and options with you before you go ahead. Best dental practice I've ever had.

Fantastic experience: While it's never my favourite place to visit. I have to commend Maggs and her nurse for their geniune concern, with my anxiety. They made me feel listened to and that my requests for dental treatment, were tailored to my needs. I am in awe of their skills and professionalism. Fantastic experience: I went for a tooth extraction following an abscess around the gum. Even with an injection the pain was extreme but the outcome was very successful with minimal damage to the gum and little bleeding and a nice clean socket. The replacement denture was fitted within 3 days and the overall outcome was very pleasing. Thanks to David and his team.

As a long standing patient I have seen the practice grow from relatively humble beginnings to the large operation it is now.
