From the moment I arrived, Dr Garima made me feel comfortable and informed.she listened to my concerns, explained my options clearly and provided exceptional care.The teamwork is impressive and made the atmosphere calm and reassuring. Negative experience: Extremely annoyed with how picking up splint was handled. First appt was cancelled to do so and was told must attend a 5 min appt to check it fits. 2nd appt cancelled, was given the option to come in an the same day before 6pm which is difficult due to finishing work at 5pm and travelling Harrogate. Made it in and was simply handed the splint at reception. Not living clode to the practice also adds to the frustration. This is just one of many terrible experiences in recent years, if it was simple to register at another practice, I would already have done so

Negative experience: *updated* after care is terrible. Never confirmed my follow appointment most likely bevause that was free. Fast to take your money Great service. The lady on the desk was very polite and helpful. The dentist that performed the work needed was also very polite and friendly. All in all a very friendly helpful and clean place. Fantastic experience: Had a really positive experience with Meliora dental today! After having some complications with my wisdom tooth, I booked an emergency appointment. I saw Dr Kunal and Dr Namrata, with Caitlin assisting. They all made me feel so comfortable even though I was so nervous! Dr Kunal removed my wisdom tooth in maybe three minutes, and all three members of staff checked on me throughout my appointment and made sure I was doing okay. They explained the procedure thoroughly to me. Would absolute recommend this practice, and thank you so much again to the whole team for providing such an inviting experience even when I was terrified. ❤️

Fantastic experience: From arriving with incisors chipped and disappearing, I now have PERFECT incisors, matching shade-wise my other teeth. I had composite bonding on all four. It took about 2 1/2 hours. Absolutely no complaints. Plenty of time to meditate and recollect memories. GO FOR IT!

Negative experience: Booked a consultation for my little sister asked before booking is there any fee for consultation reception said no so I booked it then 3 weeks down the line I got a text saying pay bill rang the dental surgery and that when she said yes we charge (I wouldn’t of booked it if there was a fee which I was originally told there not) wasted my time waiting for there new service

Negative experience: Seriously, I wouldn't send anyone there, not even as a last resort. My little cousin, who's only eight, went for a check-up and got treated so badly. The dentist, Dr. Kunal Rai, who owns the place, was super rude to a kid! He needs to learn some manners. And get this, he banned my aunt and her whole family from the practice! She's got three little kids who've been going there for years, even before the new management. It's just so petty and gross that they'd kick out a whole family because of a bad review. Replying on behalf of my extended family for the response: This is the full context they never missed an appointment and called up to cancel appointments, I also know of numerous people that have left your practice due to horrible treatment they have received and you specifically just being straight up rude

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had a bit of a fear when it comes to dentists, but I needed some hygiene treatment and finally decided to go for it. My weekly schedule is pretty tight, but they were able to accommodate me last minute, which was a huge help. From the reception team to the dental staff, everyone was welcoming and reassuring. Everything was clearly explained, and they worked patiently and kindly through my nervousness. It’s been almost a week now and my teeth feel incredible, genuinely the cleanest they’ve felt in years. I’ve booked in for further necessary checkups. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this dentist, even as a last resort. My young cousin, who is only eight years old, had a check-up and was spoken to very rudely. Dr. Kunal Rai, who is the owner and manager, seemed to lack empathy towards children. Perhaps he could benefit from some training on how to communicate more kindly. Furthermore, he has banned my aunt and her entire family from the practice. She has three young children who have been patients for years, even before the new management. This action reflects a rather petty and unpleasant attitude, barring an entire family due to a negative review.

Fantastic experience: I came to Meliora Dental on the recommendation of a family member who’s also a dentist. I had a cracked tooth extracted, underwent tray brace re-alignment, and finally had an implant for my front tooth. I felt in great hands throughout the process. Dr. Kunal was highly professional, with impressive attention to detail, and I’m very happy with the final result. The rest of the staff were friendly and excellent with communication. I’d definitely recommend this practice—especially Dr. Kunal.

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience After Years of Loyalty I have been a patient at Meliora Dental for many years, but unfortunately, the quality of service has declined significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite our long-term commitment to this practice, both myself and my son were removed from their NHS service without any proper notice or explanation. The overall standard of care has deteriorated, and the customer service is far from what it used to be. My biggest concern, however, is the way my son was treated during his visits. His dentist repeatedly made negative comments about his teeth, which not only affected his confidence but also made every appointment a stressful experience for him. A healthcare professional should be supportive, not make a patient feel worse about their condition. To make matters worse, when I emailed the practice stating my concerns, I received no response whatsoever. This lack of professionalism and disregard for patient feedback further confirms that they do not prioritize patient care. I cannot justify paying for a service that lacks professionalism and care. There are far better dental practices out there that treat their patients with respect and provide the quality of service they deserve. I would not recommend Meliora Dental to anyone looking for compassionate and competent dental care.

Negative experience: As my sister has been there for years and now with the new owners n new name along with being private, the lack in service has dropped and very condescending along with patronising and apparently she needs braces in her old age which was never recommended by previous dentist and sudden gum disease which again never mentioned by previous dentist, quoting her ridiculous treatment price, which isn't needed, as she already pays for private treatments but they like to Add more on to benefit them! EDITING to Reply Back: Thank you for ur quick NEGATIVE response" she did get a second opinion from another private dentist before going ahead with her Basic treatment n more if was really needed, her teeth are in good condition no sign of gum disease and definitely does not need braces, so yes ur dentist has dropped or is lacking customer service and proper treatment advise. EDIT: AGAIN thank you for ur professional negative reply and not wanting long term customers to stay, but yes happily will tell my sister to pay extra for her new dentist and politeness at no extra cost.. Negative experience: I was there today. Yet another different dentist, it's never the same twice. Apparently my gums are rotten, which nobody has told me before. Thanks. Anyway, appart from the fact that I was kept waiting ( nothing unusual about that) my 15 minute appointment lasted for 5 minutes. Apparently I need all sorts of expensive stuff doing. This dentist is completely untrustworthy.

Negative experience: The attitude of that Kunal Rai was terrible, making it an unpleasant experience throughout. He did not show any empathy to patients. Always showed impatience when asked questions. When he gave instructions, they would be in a loud and rude manner like shouting. I would definitely ask my friends and families to avoid this jerk.

Fantastic experience: I know I had a poor experience with all dentists in the past, including from this dental practice, with dentists often displaying rude and dismissive attitude towards my gum health, which contributed towards my dental phobia. However, give a massive shout out to Dr Namrata Sharma, who stands out to all of these idiots, as this particular dentist really puts efforts into her patients, regardless of their struggles. She is the best dentist I have had in my whole life and has never displayed negative attitude. If you have dental problems, I really recommend going for Sharma. She will not judge you.

Negative experience: This dentist practice is worst place to go for the dental issue. Worst experience, please avoid. Reception staff keep making excuses. I try to contact the manager since 15 October. The receptionist said i contact her but she hasn’t answered me, even she works in the same dentist practice.

Fantastic experience: First visit with Meliora Dental - Very pleasant staff. Kunal managed to fit my 1 year old in very quickly after an incident at the weekend, he was extremely patient with her and tried to make her feel as comfortable in the surroundings as possible. 10/10 service.

Negative experience: I accompanied my mum, who struggles with her English, to my younger sister’s appointment. When my mum spoke a few words to the male dentist treating my sister, he responded, “So she CAN speak English? This isn’t a family gathering; don’t bring extra people.” The dentist was quite rude and impatient, especially considering my sister is just six years old.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Meliora Dental Practice, and I couldn't recommend it enough. I was in so much pain, but I was assisted promptly and received the right and effective treatment. Fantastic experience: My experience at Meliroa Dental over the last 4 weeks has been amazing! I contacted Kunal via his social media platform and came in for a consultation. After explaining to Kunal that I was only available for the next 4 weeks he managed to squeeze me in and complete all the work within the time constraints. Im very happy with the composite bonding, I would highly recommend this dentistry.

Negative experience: Had a 30 minute dental appointment today at 1.45pm.....wasn't seen until nearly 2.30pm. Appointment lasted 5mins at most. No apology for lateness and treatment was very rushed!!!

Negative experience: After 2 months from the first visit and 2 extra visits to fix what happen with the fillings on the 1st, still not 100% (Extra info 2 months plus after i been trying to fix it myself and with toothpaste with bentonite seems to be helping) also oil pulling Keep in mind i never had issues like that The general cleaning was great which was the only thing i went to do at first... (The fillings were advised)

Negative experience: The dentist dr k rai has stinking attitude. Won't recommend. He's a horrible person. Wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. Surprisingly, the Dr that saw my 8yr son is the owner/manager. Called me after I posted the above and showed how disgusting his attitude really is.

Negative experience: My family attend this dentist, when it was a Roundhay dentist I remember the dentist was really good, since it changed owners and had the modern make over the service is terrible and I’m very disappointed in the quality of the dentist, they don’t give you chance to talk. Since this dentist has changed it is good example of becoming a money spinner, no quality check ups done here, service is awful every time you visit gives different information. I’m seriously going to change the dentist and I would not recommend anyone to join this poor practice. I know it’s awful but poor practices need to be highlighted, as all the care about is making money! Don’t make the mistake and join.

Fantastic experience: Came here for a dental implant after losing a tooth in a car accident 10 years prior. The process involved using Invisalign as my teeth had moved and the gap where the implant was to be inserted had become too narrow. Also, due to the amount of time that had passed, there was not enough bone to place the implant, and I needed to have bone grafts. The first bone graft was unsuccessful, but thankfully the second one was a success, enabling me to go ahead with the implant. Though this added time to the expected treatment timeframe, Kunal explained every part of the process with me in detail, and gave care advice at each stage. He cared about how my smile would look, my appointments never felt rushed, and time and care was taken to ensure the implant would function and look like a natural tooth. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to all staff at this practice. I have been registered here for 20 plus years. Recently received first class professional care when requiring urgent tooth extraction. Negative experience: Just had My filling done last Friday ,I wish never went for it .My teeth are healthy just one tooth was bothering me very rear .As Dr kunal advised me to get filing done I had it done and been one week I’m constantly in the pain can’t chew that side of my mouth feel very uncomfortable and sensitive if I drink cold ,hot or room temperature drinks so went back for to check it out this afternoon .Dr Kunal did what ever he think need doing but I’m in more pain. Now than before ,he said to me we done filing now so bacteria Spreading under the tooth now and give some options the last one is to get tooth out so so-what point me to to get filling done first place .Any way I m going back to on Monday to see different Dentist in same clinic will see what salutations we come out from .In short my experience is been very bad with the this Dentist practice .I wish I never went for filing treatments.Thank you for butchering my tooth.
