Negative experience: OK im early 50s so since this place opened locally Id developed a phobia about enlisting.Id written long letter to my Parkhead Cross Dentist (that included my public phobias of yellow teeth lets just say it was long winded)they replied hadnt offered teeth whitening (back then). Eventually Dutch courage I enlisted with Glasgow Dental Center filled in the forms at reception paid subscription money by card and against ROAR of ghetto blaster and quiet voices of receptionists behind COVID glass could not ascertain nature of first appointment was given first printout appointment. PLeased with myself arriving early weeks later with positive and excited trepidation expected first teeth whitening session eg. application of chemicals and intentsity light instead I was subjected to unexpected teeth scaling session by woman dentist that lasted well over 40?mins carefully covering entire mouth without anesthetic within 10mins my forehead was already sweating profusely with creepy intern staring from shadow of office doorway. Dentist seemed VERY reluctant to mention ANYTHING about the teeth whitening process to which I had booked for eventually mentioning it myself afterwards. Without rem clearly the discussion I was ushered to front desk and 2 Asian girls (asking again nature of this new app against ROAR of ghettoblaster/their quiet voices behind glass) and given a whitening kit and gels with another followup appointment printed out. I remember walking to Parkhead McDonalds - that same afternoon and tradesman painter inside its doorway on his phone smiling at distance "gaily" in outerspace. I remember reflecting for a long time for weeks afterward on money I had already paid and whitening kit assuming (alas NO RECEPTION?DENTIST info)this was apex of their whitening services and not wishing to 3rd time fight a reception from hell ultimately abandoning my subsciption with this clinic having already paid over £100 for traumatic unwarned teeth scaling session and cheap "amazon/ebay" whitening kit. Against my phobias have already this morning googled discovered the ZOOM! service teeth whitening up to 8 times in one "session". If something remotely close to that was given on the first day of what was then preceived as clinic of future that had opened up in Parkhead (for everyone) dispelling years grown myths - as a service bundle my phobias would have been already gone. They are all of them still back my "sneak a peek" shiny marble yellow teeth. To explain my "phobia" Id had GJassal (all their employees 8 or more have superwhite teeth) employee fit (new) bath. During small talk he mentioned that he lives in East Kibride and has at moment same Parkhead Cross Dentist guy same as me. I was "reluctant" to ask about his teeth whitening. Over course of many bookings Ive asked NONE of them about it. Or the old lady across the road that held onto my Amazon Package or the memorable middle aged driver woman who picks up neighbor next door that cut down my streetfront 5m high triangle conifer into a capsule unwarned despite telling her not to. Or the nurse woman that visited once years ago into my lounge. Or the "cleaner" that stood in at reception Tollcross Housing years ago. Or the entire Lidl Tollcross staff Ive waited on for record 15years in the checkout isles without a motorcar plus im getting up (getting coat choked)for 0.8 miles.Moral of story: dont make coffee stains

Negative experience: Went a while ago and was told I needed 4 fillings. Also recommended I see a hygienist at a cost of about £70, and £30 on top of that for the hygienist to clean my teeth as the dentist didn't do that. The dentist was also quite abrupt as well. Never went back, and changed dentist instead. Just had a check up, and only need 1 filling. Also took 3 x-rays, and gave me a clean and it only cost £60.

Negative experience: Will be leaving the practice immediately. Had an appointment and unfortunately got struck down with the flu and all the receptionists could say no manager available and we will need to charge you. Zero empathy displayed - vile staff

Negative experience: Money grabbing vultures. Called me saying I needed to book a check up urgently or I would supposedly be struck of the NHS register [This is not my NHS dentist, I get work done privately here], so I entertained them in confusion thinking it was my NHS dentist, the women on the phone even stated that it was for my NHS dentist when asked. Fast forward to today where I had a text saying I would be charged £50 for not turning up, so obviously in confusion and thinking this is NHS I called to ask about this, only to find out they had booked me into a paid private check up that I would be expected to pay for.... Complete misinformation and an obvious attempt and a money grab. lots of other example of similar situations on these reviews just proves the point that this is a SHADY place who will do anything to get your money.

Fantastic experience: I use Dental Glasgow Central for the last 4 years with my family and I was never disappointed. Recently had started whitening process and I an very happy with treatment by Dr Mash. Highly recommend this practice and this dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had my teeth whitening done by Dr Zain Rafique and the results are absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in, he made me feel completely at ease. He’s professional, friendly and really takes the time to explain everything so you know exactly what to expect. The difference in my teeth is amazing. They are so much whiter than I expected and I have already had so many compliments. Would definitely recommend Dr Zain Rafique if you’re thinking about getting whitening done or any dental care.

Negative experience: Money grabbers! I registered here on phone call and payed 30£ deposit and she booked me after a week but after two days of registeration my son just got his circumcession he was not well and I was also not well had fever cough… I just forgot to cancelled that appointment… and when I remembered after some days I just make call and told her the issue she said u have to pay other 20£ fine and again 30£ deposit to book appointment again At the time of registeration she didn’t tell me anything like that u won’t get money back or have to pay extra if u don’t attend the appointment .. such a shame ( miss information) And when my son’s nurse phoned them and she asked that u didn’t gave any reminder about that appointment she said I did… and when my son’s nurse asked about the phone number on which she gave reminder she told the number that was wrong… such a bad experience with them I’m in postpartum period and having no money to pay them again… they should let me know that u won’t get money back and …, Bcz of their mis information I just lost 30£ …

He’s extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and always takes the time to explain procedures clearly and answer any questions I have. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and their comfort.

Negative experience: Money grabbers! There are much better dentists around. Save yourself the hassle, DO NOT join this practise. Reception is contemptuous, and passive aggressive. The dentists never seem to stay long. Probably because it's a toxic work environment.

Negative experience: Shocking customer service and "policies", cold receptionist. Only my second time attending this dentist for me and my baby, I realised due to name change of the practice that Google had taken me to the wrong dentist (one with the same name). It's the same bus and journey time so I didnt realise until ten minutes before my appointment , I called to explain the mistake and apologise and explain I would be late 15 minutes. The receptionist was cold and said she would let me know if I could still be seen. I told her the other bus is in 2 minutes so to call back before then. She called after, I missed the bus. She then said me or my baby cannot be seen as the appointment would have been over in 20 minutes and that I would be charged £50. She rudely stated the reminder text states the new name and was not at all sympathetic to the fact it was a genuine mistake and told me it's "patient responsibility". I struggle to believe me and my baby would have been seen within 20 minutes, my last check up and scale and polish alone took longer than this and this was without a baby. The practice needs to take some accountability, if you change your practice name, you need to formally communicate that to all patients and include that (as well as the address) in the reminder texts. Stop looking for immoral ways to get money out of people. Totally disappointed in this service, I will be taking my family to another practice.

Fantastic experience: Called up at the beginning of the week, to enquire if they were taking on new NHS patients. Was told yes, was given an appointment for Wednesday, two days after my call. After a checkup, I needed a filling and a scale and polish. Was booked in for the Friday. Han my new Dentist was professional, friendly and explained everything.. Alongside Natasha, Dental Nurse hope I've got the name right. Professional also friendly. The Reception staff customer service skills are excellent. The background music, I thought was different. You don't get in other Detists. When you think about the reason behind it. Nobody likes goint to be Dentist (sorry but true) the music is certainly a good thing. It eases your anxiety.

Was struggling to find a practice willing to take on new patients and made the right choice by registering here. Also feel motivated to have my 6 monthly check ups again - easy and straightforward to arrange!

Negative experience: They wish to charge 77 pounds to tell you that you need work in an emergency! I know my filling fell out and needs replaced. I do not need to part with money to be told that. I do not need a 77 pound for that! They will not tell in advance their costs of the filling! So if you parted with the 77 pounds you might get an unreasonable quote the work and say no thanks but you are 77 quid out of pocket for being told what you already know! Sharp practices consistent with an underlying feeling of dishonesty! I would not out my money their way!

Negative experience: So sorry to have now left this Dental practice. I really rated my dentist, Mr Marsh, & the reception staff were friendly & welcoming. My issue was with the greed of the practice owners. I have spent up to £2000 on treatment and felt that I got value for my money. My issue was when I booked a hygienist appointment. The cost was £79 for 30mins. Expensive, but everything is going up so I agreed without quibble. It wasn't until I was in the treatment room that I was told that to remove any staining to my teeth I would have to pay an extra £30 to be treated with the machine that blasts the stains away. That would be £109 for 30mins!! Notice that you don't get more time for the extra cost. I have had a previous hygienist appointment at this practice & that treatment was part of the cost. It's not the hygienist's fault. In fact, she was very nice. It's the greedy owners who are squeezing every penny out of their customers. £30 is a snip compared to what I have already paid, but it's the cheek of it that I couldn't accept. By the way, I didn't even have the stains removed from my teeth as both machines were out of order. ___________ I've been to many dental practices, having lived all over England and in Wales. I have to say this is one of the best. Great reception staff & dental nurse as well as nice premises. Ryan, my dentist, was exceptional. Very personable & knowledgeable, he gave me a range of options, across a wide price range, that covered all my dental needs & pocket. Very impressed. I'm, actually, looking forward to my treatment!! Never thought I'd say that about a visit to the dentist.

Positive experience: I just came from a first consultation appointment. The price for it was £50. I go there because after my clear alignment treatment I want to get fixed retainers. BEFORE taking the X ray, the dentist asks me with who I got the clear alignment treatment. And I say with smile direct (online company). I don't know the cost of the x ray, and she proceeds to do the x ray, silly me I thought that was included in the £50 I already paid. AFTER doing the x ray, she tells me they wont fit me the fixed retainers because of me using smile direct services. Now I understand you don't want to be related to Smile Direct. But you've just been as doggy as them. When my ONLY CONCERN was to get fixed retainers. I work full time and I just lost the morning and almost £80. ----- UPDATE: They called me and offered me full refund. They apologised, were nice on the phone and empathetic. Good costumer care.

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost - scam! I signed up for the practice mid August over the phone. I booked the appointment for mid September but had to reschedule because of the personal reasons. I phoned the practice and the receptionist confirmed the new appointment is booked for Friday. I requested this information to be send by SMS which receptionist confirmed will be done. It’s Thursday today and still no message - I phoned the practice to confirm the Friday’s appointment and after being put on hold for 7 times (!) I’ve been told my appointment was actually today. I asked for this to be investigated further and the manager was to phone me later today. However, that never happened. I phoned 2 minutes because closing and the reception manager (Safir) told me that “out of good will” they will waive £5 from £35 non-attendance fee. I explained that I have been told by the receptionist my appointment was booked for Friday, not Thursday however, Safir was like a robot repeating the nonsense about good will gesture. Absolute scam, charged £35 for the staff not being able to book the e appointment according to their calendar and blaming customers for it! Ahh, and of course the said receptionist did a mistake in my mobile number, so I never got any message or phone call. I’ll make sure I will make your customers aware about your practice of scamming!

Fantastic experience: the only dental centre in Glasgow who made sure my anxiety with going to the dentist wasn't an issue. they made sure i was calm and did so effectively by explaining what was going on with my procedure before and during. the person in reception, Eilidh and Samia made sure i was comfortable and at ease with everything that was going on. i have since then registered with them. I'm glad my sister recommended Glasgow Dental Centre to me!

Negative experience: Not impressed with this establishment. Full range of cosmetic treatments on offer on their website yet when you call for them, the receptionist doesn't have a clue and then states we don't do them anymore Seriously unimpressed with the way the call was handled.

Fantastic experience: I was always scared of dentists but Rhona and Louise make me feel comfortable. Rhona explained me everything before she started my treatment. And she did it better than I was expected. Chelsea at reception is very friendly and she always try to suits my next appointment with my working hours. Very recommended this place.

Fantastic experience: Having been on holiday locally, one of my previous filled molars had failed and was causing me a lot of pain. GDC was not able to offer me an NHS appointment at short notice, but due to a cancellation I was able to get in on the same day under private. The service was superb and the staff were all incredibly friendly. Dr Marsh was amazing and really put me at ease throughout my appointment, probably one of best dentists I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Fantastic experience: I passed by this dentist every day taking my little boy to nursery so I gave them a call to register and I think I had to wait about 6 weeks for my appointment which given the current backlog I thought was pretty quick! My dentist Rhona was really knowledgeable and patient with me considering I was really nervous having not been to a dentist since pre-virus times. I had a consultation and X-rays done and was advised to book a scale and polish which was a very pleasant surprise! I only had to wait 2 days for the hygiene appointment and it was also completed by Rhona. I felt really calm and confident in my choice of dentist and she was also very patient with my 3 year old son so Glasgow Dental Centre get top marks from me. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: After registering I got an appointment for myself and my husband very quickly. Rhona (dentist)has been amazing, she’s so lovely, puts you at ease, talks you through every step of the way. I got a temporary filling for 2 weeks to check that it was ok, being quite a deep filling, Rhona wanted to be sure how it would take before putting the permanent one in, showing how thorough she is. After having a really bad experience (financially very expensive, and major waiting lists for nhs patients forcing people into paying privately) I was so pleased with quick treatment I received with extremely reasonable nhs costs. My kids, mum and friends have now moved here within last 2 months and have all received check ups/treatment.

Fantastic experience: I was petrified to go to the dentist after a few years of not going, but I can’t recommend this place enough. Every staff member I’ve met is calming, non judgmental and friendly. I get more nervous getting the bus there then I do waiting in the waiting room!

Positive experience: Service was brilliant and staff are amazing!

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff who were very welcoming and helpful. Despite being early and expecting to wait they managed to get me in early and that was much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I went for a routine checkup and was promptly given a follow-up appointment to get my teeth cleaned. The team was fantastic! Reception was very welcoming and kind. Dr. Burns was incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer any of my questions. I've left feeling more confident in my oral hygiene and now have information on how to keep my teeth in tip top condition. Would definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Experienced similar bad experience like Danielle McConnell. I came to get my fillings done but had to go to at least 3 appointments, only to be pushed to get hygiene plan and scaling (both i did not asked for). Iqbal was condescending and was not transparent with the whole procedure. I left and registered with a different dentist.

Negative experience: This place is absolutely shambolic. Do not expect to get any treatment unless you’re paying privately. I had work started on a tooth in March 2021. It deteriorated until the point of needing surgical removal whilst I sat on an NHS waiting list for treatment. If you’re lucky enough to actually be seen and not have your appointment cancelled it likely be another 10 minute appointment discussing what you need done, how long you’ll need to wait and how much it’ll cost to have you in privately to have it done within a week! I’ve had roughly 3 appointments since March 2021 none of which have involved any treatment. Once again after a lengthy wait I received a phonecall today to inform me my appointment in 2 days time has been cancelled and rescheduled to 26th of July!! I am now looking to change dentist as my teeth are in serious need of treatment and unless I have the cash to pay nothing seems to be happening!
