Negative experience: Typical dentist. As soon as you say you want to do private (because they don’t take anymore NHS) they try to shaft you with the price. £65 consultation fee just to look at a tooth that is sore. Typical rip off merchants. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: Pleasant waiting room environment, 20 minute delay in being seen.Dentist explained everything as she was doing, and gave tips on how to continue my mouth hygiene progress. Overall a Pleasant experience ( as far as a visit to the dentist can be)

Fantastic experience: Rapid response to request for emergency appointment. The practice were able to inform me when a canceled appointment became available thus allowing me to receive treatment faster. The staff as always very helpful especially Dawn the Senior receptionist. I've never had a bad experience at this practice in the 57 years I've been a patient.

Negative experience: I am devastated. Today I was told I was no longer Welcome at the practice. I cancelled an appointment short notice…. I woke up in early hours on Monday morning several months ago with sickness and vomiting. I thought it was good I cancelled. Rather than give the dentist a vomiting virus. Today a genuine mistake was made. I attended today for an appointment to be told it was yesterday. They told me they done see time wasters. There is no appeal no presenting my case to dentist. Just told she will not be changing her mind This upset me as it was just a mistake. I have been a client of this dental practice for 35 years as are my family. I have seen several changes over the years new dentist coming and going. I am aware of the pressure on dentist and advocate at every step on their behalf in local government and nationally. I hope this wasn’t an excuse to rid yourself of a NHS patient

My particular Dentist (Isobel) is so professional and always has a lovely friendly manner. She is so patient and keeps you informed as to what is happening every step of the way. 10/10 to all of you…

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend enough, i have waited years to be able to smile and not be embarrased. But within a couple of month this practice has changed all of that and now i cannot stop smilng. I cannot thank them enough, So friendly and supportive. The best there is as far as i am concerned.

Negative experience: Disgraceful treatment of a family member with mental health issues today. I transported this family member to the dentist in very heavy traffic. They were 6 minutes late. The dentist refused to see them and they took them off their list. So they have to find a new dentist. The family member has had intensive support from mental health services this week. So thankyou for showing no empathy today.

I get very nervous and recently needed some work done involving a lot of drilling and numbing. No one but if you have had the experiences that I had as a young person and young man then you will appreciate not fearing going to see this dentist practice even if it is to have a filling or other less pleasant treatment.

Positive experience: Great service as usual but always running late. Phoned me to ask if I'd mind altering my appointment by 15 minutes... Great no problem but still 30 minutes late. Staff did apologise for this and staff always friendly . I'm always on time for my appointments .

Negative experience: Turned up for an appointment they failed to book once. Always crowded and overbooked and you're usually waiting an hour. Was a couple minutes late for an appointment another time and Dawn said she'd sent the next person up and just matter of factly said "sorry" without letting me see the dentist and made me rebook.

Fantastic experience: I have always been a patient receiving excellent treatment by this practice in particular by my dentist Mr Reid. My husband who is register blind and is deaf too had his first visit in accompanying me and was very impressed by Me Reid who explained to my husband what he was going to do, and was so good with my husband that from being a ‘dental nervous patient’ is now more than happy to go to this practice. It’s a big hurdle for my husband to take being both nervous and severely visually impaired which is all down to the receptionist Dawn and dentist Mr Reid. Throughly recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My 6-monthly dental check-up proceeded as normal. The dentist gave me feedback about the state of my teeth and gums; no action was required. However, she was a little concerned about the state of my lichen planus and promised to write to The Dental Hospital in Newcastle about it. Soon, thereafter, I received an appointment letter from the hospital inviting me for a check-up. Excellent service all round.

I have seen 3 dentists, one of which was also at your practice, for pain that restricted my eating ability. Karen solved the issue immediately. Why has it taken so long, eg years for someone to appreciate and correctly diagnose the issue at hand. I don’t want to see any one else but Karen. Please pass on my enormous thanks.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this dentist for a few years and have nothing but praise for the all the staff. Receptionist is really friendly and accommodating, and the dentists are just brilliant. Would 100% recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I have been going to this dentist since I first had teeth. Recently I have had a dental emergency and since I dont pay them regularly visits, I have been told to call back after the new year. And even then it could take up to 1 year to be seen. The issue I have was caused by this dentist not filling a tooth properly which (dentist words not mine). They have told me to get my issue fix by going to another dentist and come back to them once the issue is fixed. Or be in pain for over a year.
