Dental Studio Scotland- Kilmarnock smile studio and Dental Implant Centre

Negative experience: Not happy with the recent service. Kilmarnock building was down so I was sent to Irvine under their name few weeks back to get antibiotics they told me I had to wait on Kilmarnock opening again as I’m their patient. Finally got an appointment Monday and they failed to tell me I had an abscess but tried to refer me to Glasgow for 2 wisdom tooth to be taking out when 1 was severely infected and caused serious distress showing that the first set of antibiotics from Irvine didn’t make a dent towards to issue. Waited all week for a call from Glasgow until last night I couldn’t bare the pain anymore and needed to phone 111 to be seen by Ayrshire central hospital today letting me know they had to take poison out first before taking part of a wisdom tooth out. Still in need of treatment and seeking a new dentist, very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Rang for an emergency appointment was see that same morning very efficient reception staff, polite and friendly. My appointment was with a very nice lady dentist ( not sure of her name) but she spent so much time with trying to get me pain free. I then came back for an extraction another day and was see by dentist Molly and her lovely dental nurse. They reassured me and explained everything that they were doing. I am pleased to say I have had no bother with any issues after my extraction thanks to Molly. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: My experiences here have absolutely healed my soul. I've had issues with my teeth for years and often left (previous) dentists feeling shamed, mortified and anxious to return. Calum has been an absolute night-and-day difference. No hint of any of the attitude that left me so embarrassed at my last 2 practices before moving to Kilmarnock. Told him ONCE about medical issues making problems during dental procedures and he's never forgotten. Lots of checking in and reassurance without me having to ask for it, clear and open communication about a plan for going ahead and genuinely top-notch work. Friendly and chatty, just like the reception staff. I've never been made to feel an inconvenience for having questions or even having to move appointments last minute. Some of the best care I've had anywhere in the NHS. TLDR: If you've had problems before, try these folks. They won't let you down. Calum is a godsend and a credit to his profession.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sheraz and Demi make a great team. I had an extraction and immediate implant. At my first visit Demi explained the procedure and answered my questions. I was anxious about the extraction but the whole procedure was carried out quickly and efficiently without any upsetting sights or sounds. I was really impressed with the skill and technology. My treatment is now complete and I have a lovely new tooth. It’s amazing what this team can do.

Negative experience: Extremely rude initial contact, the woman who called me was screeching over and over the same thing and would not allow me to speak, she then hung up the phone. I called back and they let the call hang. I’ll spend my money elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: Service with a smile. Can't fault these people. And the are accepting NHS patients which is rare in this day and age.

Negative experience: Avoid, my personal experience. Over a year and a half a dentist here attempted to extract 2 teeth and broke both leaving me in pain for 6 months the 1st time until I got an appointment at Glasgow dental hospital to remove the root. The 2nd tooth extraction was the same only I waited almost a year in pain for an appointment at the dental hospital to remove the broken root. After all this a small piece of root had to be removed by them and they had the audacity to charge me £26 for this. Effectively charging me to fix their mistake, as I said AVOID

Fantastic experience: From the welcoming arrival at reception to dentists Rebecca Smith's professional yet casual attitude that helped ease my concerns. Her light hearted and approachable work ethnic kept me comfortable,and happy to answer any questions,there were quite a few! Listening to some classic music to discussing who played the best Batman during sessions helped sway my fears. 5 Star treatment & professional the entire time,totally recommended and ably assisted by Lucy. Thanks for your patience ladies with a somewhat nervous man.

Negative experience: Hopeless left me in agony no antibiotics no scan and it was a emergency appointment no help what so ever Al be calling the nhs on them was a utter waste of time.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my own dentist in Glasgow to visit this practice four months ago for a consultation to receive my first dental implant. From the first consultation to the final result this week, i was looked after by Sheraz & Demi. They explained everything about the procedures. I was a little apprehensive & anxious but they made me feel at ease. Sheraz removed what was left of my broken root, before inserting the implant & i didn’t feel a thing, it was totally painless. Claire at reception was the nicest person & always greeted me with a warm smile. She always reassured me that i could call at anytime if i was anxious about anything, which i did many times & not once did she make me feel that i was a nuisance. Fantastic experience: Visited the KSS Kilmarnock on Wednesday 26th April for the fitting of a crown which I must say looked impossible but thanks to Callum he did an excellent job. He is always friendly and shows that he is really interested in what you say . I would highly recommend Kilmarnock Smile Studio. They do have NHS places too. Another visit to see Callum for my 6 month check up, as always Callum provided excellent care and always a genuine interest on how things are. A good dentist who cares.

Fantastic experience: In yhe past with other dentists I have allways had bad experiences rough and painful or just bad work but this dentist i haven't a bad word to say very professional the work is high quality and they show care and attention exactly what you want when someone is working on your teeth, highly recomend especially if you have Ayeza + Kirsty doing your dental work.

Fantastic experience: Just recently joined the Irvine practice and both my daughters too. We all have the same dentist Taylor and after our first check up girls are fine but I do need some work which I was aware of but he was so calm and explained everything to me. Im a really nervous patient and panic when im visiting the dentist and i must say his empathy and taking time so I wouldnt panic was really apreciated and to top it off done a fantastic job on my front tooth. I would also like to say the dental nurse was fab to but I forgot her name. Terrific practice x

Fantastic experience: Had a filling done by Ellie. Pre procedure - good at making small talk to get people at ease. Clear communication on what the procedure would be, the need for it, and the different options along with the cost for each. During - Didn't feel a thing when she went in with the local anaesthetic. She signposts most of the major things that are about to happen, found it very helpful in knowing what to expect next. Her general demeanour is relaxed, which helped me relax as well. Post - directed me regarding post anaesthetic care and directed to reception for payment and the next appointment. Overall - great experience. Complaints - Expect the next booking at least 4 weeks away. And that would be my only complaint, but I recognise that there's high demand and low supply, and it is not the fault of the practice.

Negative experience: Didn't actually make it to this dentist to find out if they're any good- last minute cancellation by text instead of calling to notify and rebook. Inaccurate hours on Google and website (no longer evenings or weekends). Incorrect telephone number for return call on cancellation text. Dentist listed in text message isn't listed on their website- pretty unprofessional and not a good first impression & certainly doesn't instill 'trust & integrity'.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed a course of treatment for two implants and I am delighted with the final result! Dr Sheraz Shafiq and his team were so incredibly supportive, calm, fun (yes!) and always respectful. I was so anxious about the entire process; even phoning Sheraz on a Saturday evening when I felt panicked by an unexpected experience! He phoned me back at ten in the evening with reassurance and a follow up appointment!! It turned out to be a false alarm. Some of my anxiety centred on my expectation of pain during the implant procedure - I’m very happy to say it was painless! Thank you Sheraz, Isa, Demi and all staff at the Smile Studio. Your welcoming smiles, professionalism, commitment and kindness made the whole experience so much easier. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone considering making an appointment.

Fantastic experience: Just finished my implant treatment yesterday 23rd November. I am absolutely over the moon with the results. Dr Sheraz and every staff member were brilliant throughout. I was kept informed the whole way through and nothing was a problem. The whole process was painless and the results are fabulous. Would I get it done again? Yes 100%. Would I have Dr Sheraz do it again? Yes 100%. Would I use this practice again? Yes 100%. If you are contemplating having implants done, then come to Kilmarnock Smile Studio, you won't be dissappointed.

Positive experience: Dental implant completed today: not painful in any way, just the drilling was difficult to bear, however it was over very quickly! Sheraz and his nurse Debbie were very efficient. I am very frightened about any dental work so am very glad that this has been completed so quickly. Receptionists were very pleasant and professional.

Fantastic experience: I found the studio very clean and friendly. The women at reception were polite and welcoming and helped ease my nerves. When I got upstairs the dental assistant Demi explained how the procedure would go and got me a coffee and spoke away to me, again this eased my nerves. When it was time to go in and start the treatment I was greeted by Sheraz, he was so calm and in control all nerves were gone. He put the radio on and started my treatment and I can honestly say I never felt a thing, which surprised me but I felt nothing. When the posts were in place Demi brought through my new temporary teeth and Sheraz screwed them in. So I left with a full set of brand new teeth. I cannot thank Sheraz and Demi enough for what they have done for me, I can now smile with confidence and people can see my teeth. I would highly recommend the dental studio if anyone was thinking of implants, there is no better place in my opinion.

Negative experience: I had an appointment for 2.30, I arrived at 2.08 and the lady at the desk told me I was too late because my appointment was at 2.00. She ‘called the dentist’ and she couldn’t see me because I was ‘late’. Very poor! I cancelled the re-scheduled appointment and lost £50 because they take the money in advance. Avoid at all costs!

Fantastic experience: Had a tooth extracted yesterday. Was very nervous as it was a tricky tooth to get out - one of the roots was at a 90 degree angle and the dentist explained it was more than likely a difficult one to come out. Calum done the job in less than 20 minutes assisted by the lovely Debbie. Fantastic experience: So today was my final fitting of my dental implants and I have walked away with the biggest smile on my face. I could not be any happier with the end result !! Fantastic experience: First of all I would like to say I am so glad I had my implant treatment done. It has improved my life more than I initially thought it would. “you have your smile back” I was told by my partner. I was always made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived at every visit to the practice. All the staff I came into contact with were very professional and competent. Although nervous about undertaking the treatment, once I decided to go ahead I always felt at ease with the staff. The procedures involved were fully and clearly explained to me before the treatment started. In the days immediately after my first and longest session I was contacted by Sheraz’s team regularly to make sure I was OK, and any queries I had were quickly and clearly answered. I would like to thank Sheraz and his team for the professional and high standard of treatment I was given at every visit.

Fantastic experience: I used to be terrified of the dentist but once I moved here I really settled down. My dentist and the assistants are always so nice they make myself and my two girls feel relaxed and at ease. My dentist is very patient with me and the girls which really helps. My daughter was so scared getting her first jag when she needed a filling and the dentist didn’t rush her and was so patient. As a result it wasn’t a bad experience which means a lot as I don’t want her being scared to go back.

Fantastic experience: First part of dental implant experience was well managed by Sheraz and his team. Demi and Amber were a great help throughout.Although it took a few hours I felt relaxed through the procedure. As well as Sheraz a special mention to the dentist who provided outstanding perfectionist work tidying up my bottom teeth over nearly 2 hours. Didnt catch his name but would deffo recommend.A great job by all at the practice. Finally forgot to mention last but not least the girls in reception who had to wear their winter woolies at the front desk when the heating went down. Well worth recognition.

Fantastic experience: I had 4 extractions and 2 posts for implants fitted mid February. The treatment I received was first class by all members of the team. 6 weeks on the surgery has healed well and I am just waiting on the healing process to complete so I can have the new teeth attached. It was a much better process than I imagined so thanks to all at Dental Studios.

Negative experience: Dont ask receptionist anything or she'll make up LIES,had to tell her no need to shout at me at one point!,excuse was the mask!lol,think I touched a nerve.Not there or anywhere to be spoken to in that fashion,any problem can and should be sorted out in a appropriate way,manners cost nothing,even more evidence never taught any essential 'life skills'.Requested copy of my records as had obtained my phone history that seemed contradict what I was being told!,which I originally mentioned,it didnt make sence,nor the explanation given,so naturally I was curious,made me more confused and ask more questions,she clearly couldn't deal with this in a appropriate/professional manner,or even decide what her name actually was .Hope the owner realises,extremely negative nasty energy, manipulative,vile attitude,pls leave personal issues out of professional conduct,stinks....really stinks )Regrettably,subsequent actions amount to slander.Shame,as the dentist really put me at ease,explained the situation in layman's terms, and was professional throughout

Fantastic experience: Hello, I am a sixty six year old retired male. I have had full mouth restoration with fixed upper and lower arches on ten implants (five up and five down) supporting all my new teeth. My gums were receeding quite badly, all my back teeth were gone and the remaining front teeth were an embarrassment. I walked into the Kilmarnock Smile Studio at the end of 2021 to have a chat about all my options and ten months later completed the whole proceedure. All the way through the process, everyone involved and I really do mean everyone, looked after me through every step. I was never without teeth as temporary arches were installed on the same day that my remaining teeth were extracted and the implants were put in.This was to allow my gums to settle down. Obviously there was initial discomfort, but there was never any pain. The very high standards and professionalism of the team made the journey a good experience. Now, to be able to smile freely without covering my mouth, to be able to eat properly again and to have that assurance that all my teeth are secure is just an awesome feeling. After all that has been done to my mouth and the knowledge that I now have, would I still have done it? Try and stop me. I highly recommend the Kilmarnock Smile Studio.

Fantastic experience: I'm extremally happy with implant I got in Dental Studio Scotland-Kilmarnock smile studio. I took care about it as doctor Shafiq had advised, and after 3,5 month I have great tooth, and even I have problem to recognized which on my jaw is artificial. Strongly recommend doctor Shafiq put shaft into my jaw and doctor Dikaiou made my crown! Thank you also to all staff, they are nice and helpful, they made me beig much more comfortable. On the end- sorry if my English didn't let me write review properly enough- I keep learning.

Fantastic experience: Dental implant successfully completed today , first class service from start to finish , everything fully explained and nothing completed till I was completely satisfied. Special mention to the excellent dental assistants who completed much of the prep work and who’s cheery nature makes visiting this surgery a pleasurable experience. This was the second implant I have had from Shiraz the first several years ago and I would fully recommend him for anyone looking for dental work.
