Negative experience: Do not use smile direct club! You will not get the refinements promised and will be left with more issue than when you started the process. Study the reviews and you'll see all the positive ones are from people who've visited the shop but not actually gone through the process. Buyer beware

Negative experience: At first they were really helpful and friendly, the treatment was working okay, but then I got to the end of my treatment and my teeth were not how they said they should have been so I done another 3 month course and my teeth still were not as they should have been. I finished paying for my course and stopped using them, my teeth have now reverted back to the way they were and I am seeing an actual orthadontist. Sometimes it just better to pay more and actually get the correct treatment. These people cannot see how your teeth need to move so their plans aren't always what you actually need. Total waste of money if you ask me. I wouldn't recommend at all.

Negative experience: Don't post a review at the shop, they'll try to make you do this but just don't. The staff in store and nice enough the problems start once you have your aligners. They simply don't work as you're advised they will. I've had two new sets of aligners and still it doesn't work. It's a waste of money and time. Go to an actual orthodontist and get Invisalign.

Fantastic experience: I had my appointment tonight at the smile direct club shop in the Buchanan galleries and from start to finish the customer service was exceptional. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed and made to feel very comfortable by Cheryl. Negative experience: please do not waste your money I got my retainers weren’t happy went into the store and was told to use my retainers for longer and my teeth should move was not told that when I do this my warranty would be voild and they would want more money to give u a touch up another £70 a month they are money grabbers and a joke of a company the minute they have your money do not waste your time would have preferred to throw the £1600 away to be honest.

Negative experience: Do not use smile direct club! I was initially approved for a treatment plan with Smile Direct Club to which I received a treatment of 21 aligners over a 7 month period. 6 months later, I managed to get to aligner 14 with no noticeable changes to my teeth and the aligners did not fit (not even close, a completely different shape from my teeth) I was sent for a scan to get replacement aligners....a few days after the scan, I received an email saying 'we are sorry, you are not suitable for a treatment plan with Smile Direct Club' ? I'm not suitable for a treatment plan I already have a treatment plan??? This is just a scan to replace the aligners that do not fit??? So, now that I'm not suitable, I expect to be refunded in full for the initial treatment plan? Numerous emails sent, weeks upon weeks waiting with no reply and no further forward.....Then I receive an email from customer services saying 'it seems your case has now been resolved ' ?? Wait ...what??? My case has certainly NOT been resolved.... nobody has even responded to me??? I am still waiting for this to be resolved!! Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! they will take your money and run!!!

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would. Booked in for a free scan, arrived and was told I had to sign up and agree to treatment before I’d get a scan. The journey has been a nightmare, ill-fitting aligners, disgusting customer service, currently had no aligners that are fit for purpose since January. I’ve been harassing them for months to get my refund, reported to trading standards and still waiting for my refund that they agreed to give me. Avoid like the plague. No one returns contact and customer service call centre are no help.

Negative experience: I considered going ahead with this company but after some digging came to find out that if you just want to straighten one set of teeth they charge you full price. Why would I pay full price if all I need is half of the product (i.e., one aligner vs. two)? Not worth it for my particular situation.

Very judgmental. Disappointing as I was actually looking forward to see what is possible. I would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Smile Direct so far has been great. I had a very welcoming and insightful consultation with Cheryl who ran through how the process works and conducted an examination on my teeth with equipment that wasn’t at all painful or scary. It did, however, make it 100x more evident that I need the treatment after seeing the scan I will certainly be going ahead with the treatment and I’m excited to see the results.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent visit there. The place took very good precautions when it comes to COVID-19, everyone was very friendly, especially Ashley who was very welcoming and super super friendly. They also offer really high standards and good pricing plans. Very recommended! UPDATE: my plan was supposed to be 4 months and it went well until the last month when my aligners were not fitting properly. I called customer service and they told me to keep trying and that they should fit well eventually. However that didn’t happen and I ended up requesting more aligners after my plan time was over. They sent me more for a duration of two months (which is unfortunately because I was anxious to be done). Another strange thing is that when I went to get my 3D scan the first time, they didn’t tell me about the nighttime aligners (which is an option I would have preferred) and they went straight in with day time aligners which have to be worn for 22 hours and that’s just a big hassle. Of course, I should have done my research before going in but I think it is their job to keep people well informed and present all their services - not just assume that I want the day aligners. Overall, it’s an okay company, they have great customer service (friendly and quick to get concerns addressed) and they are much cheaper than traditional braces. The aligners also don’t show inside the mouth so it’s a good option for adults. A good option would be to get aligners through your dentist or orthodontist - true it might cost a bit more but at least your orthodontist will see you regularly to make sure everything is going well and that your bite is not being affected negatively by the aligners.

I had completed my course and am very happy with the results but wanted a minor adjustment. Cheryl the manager at the store saw me for a follow up consultation and was lovely. She was so understanding and helpful and has arranged for my follow up aligners to be sent out at no additional cost. Such a worth while investment and already feel more confident with my smile

Fantastic experience: I decided to go into the smile shop and get the 3D image, I found this much easier than doing It at home. The girls in the shop are so lovely and friendly and made my visit feel comfortable. Negative experience: Don't fall for this sham of a treatment plan. They're pleasant enough, but woefully unqualified to be submitting people for treatment. You're to sign a waiver without any detailed information being gathered about your teeth. They don't know your dental health or potential problems, and this isn't verified at your consultation which essentially absolves them of any blame when the product won't work. Sometimes the low price really is too good to be true - go to a qualified orthodontist who can oversee the work in person and mitigate any problems. This is simply NOT possible with this service, and puts your dental health at risk.

Fantastic experience: I have been looking around online for a Invisalign journey for a couple months now and smile direct kept popping up as one of my top searches. After doing some research, I found the company ‘Invisalign’ where very very expensive and that smile direct was offering the exact same experience (and more!!) for a way more affordable price. I thought I would pop into the store to have an initial consultation, which came with a free 3D scan, whitening kit and to talk through the process with the team. I had the loveliest Smile Guide named Ashley. She helped me choose the right plan for my needs and wants, talked through any questions I had and set me on my smile journey. I honestly could not have had a better experience. I was informed that if you lost, broke or did whatever to your retainer, (accidents happen to the best of us) you would be able to call up and have a replacement sent straight to you for free (something Invisalign do not do). I’m so excited to start my journey and show off my wonderful results at the end! For anyone questioning whether to go in and speak to the girls, I 1000% recommend you to do so, you won’t regret it! Thank you Ashley for being the loveliest smile guide I could possibly ask for.
