Welcome to mydentist Clarendon Road, Hinckley. Our 11 clinicians cover a variety of NHS, private and myoptions treatment plans including a variety of short term orthodontic solutions such as Invisalign Go, Six Month Smiles and Quick Straight Teeth as well as hygiene appointments through our very own Hygienist, Mr Abdurazak Mohamed. Within our team we also have Dr Imtiaz Patel who is an expert in denture treatment, having achieved a qualification in Denture Excellence. We also provide implant treatment thanks to Dr Mariusz Zawada. There is a large car park at the practice and we are a 5 minute walk from Hinckley train station. Fantastic experience: I am always nervous when I have to go dentist which is why I never went often, however 1 of my front teeth came loose and knew I had to sort it, I had read about splinting the loose tooth to other teeth to allow it to heal which he did, I was very pleased and happy with the results and I am managing to eat certain foods, so I would recommend my dentist and the surgery to.

Fantastic experience: My dentist is harminder and the dental nurse was Eva. Today I had 1 extraction and 2fillings.never felt anything when she did the surgery. Didn’t even know she had taken the tooth out. She harminder was brilliant. Made sure everything was numb . If your a nervous patient ask for her. She knows what she’s doing so thank you to both of you for being so understanding of my fear. Which was groundless.

Negative experience: Don’t go here or you might get a parking ticket even if you register your car… I also paid £25 for an appointment that lasted 1 minute… NHS dentists are now a scam. Service was good and staff was polite, can’t say anything bad. But I definitely didn’t like receiving a parking ticket for £60 and after sending proof to them they still said sorry you need to pay… maybe cause someone didn’t submit my registration or they’re just crooks.

Negative experience: I have been left with a very negative taste in my mouth from this dentist. The quality of the work is not the problem I was very pleased with the service itself. However, I was very disappointed by their receptionist Clare. I had paid for my second appointment in cash and there was a lot of ignorance from her when I had very clearly vocalised that I had paid for it prior in advance she insisted I pay again but she ignored me when I offered an explanation and made me pay again. At this point I felt very upset as she was disregarding what I was saying, and I am already someone who avoids negative social situations as they make me uncomfortable and with her being rude and dismissive I felt I couldn’t dispute any further. When I got home, I asked my Mum to speak to them as I felt I weren’t getting listened to and I knew I had been charged 2 lots of £70. When my mum called, she spoke to Clare who begrudgingly looked into this which went on for a while and she eventually found this payment of £70, and she said it would need to be paid back in cash meaning I would have had to travel 30 minutes to go and collect it. She offered no apology or acknowledgement of her error and then when asked if they would do it as a transfer she refused without even considering it as an option or consulting her superior as it was an error on their part and it was something I made very clear at the time but she simply wouldn’t listen to me and had she we could have resolved this there and then and we could have avoided the phone call and me having to go all the way back. My mum then called again to make a complaint this time another person answered but they were unable to help and said it could be up to 2 weeks to resolve this matter but said their manager would call back which they didn’t. Then my mum called a final time and this time Clare answered the call again she was once again very rude and was huffing and signing as if we were inconveniencing her. Not the other way around. On this call She was able to confirm that the money could be returned back to us by bank transfer, but she was very rude and couldn’t even apologise for the stress this had caused or her part in any of this and hung up without even saying goodbye. I am very disappointed by the experience I had with the receptionist staff as Clare was very unkind and difficult to work with. I understand everyone has bad days, but it seems Clare only has bad days. As someone who is Autistic I shouldn’t have to wear a sign so people give me some grace I believe all people in customer facing roles should treat their clients with a mutual respect and understand that we can talk to them in a friendly manner and if for whatever reason they aren’t understanding then take the time to talk to them as, if she had done this in this situation I would have been able to show her that I paid and she wouldn’t have forced me to pay a second time. And unfortunately, because of this interaction and the way social situations affect me mentally I have had no choice but to find a new dentist which isn’t something I wished to do but felt I had no choice as I would struggle to go there again. This situation happened in June and I never received a callback from the manager or an apology from Clare.

Negative experience: I got a call from one of receptionist to schedule a dental appointment for my kids. I scheduled a Saturday appointment. One the day I was 10mins late. I have 3 kids so I thought that I could see the dentist for the other 2. There was no one reception when we got in and there were others waiting. We were waiting for 10mins when one of the dental nurses came out. I told her that I was late but asked if the kids could be seen or otherwise we can reschedule. She mentioned that the appointments were running behind and that there were only two dentist available but we are Definitely going to be seen! So we waited another 20mins and a different nurse came out. So I asked again what’s going on as my kids were getting agitated at this point ( I have young kids). She reiterated that I will definitely be seen! Only for her to come out 10mins later and say that because I was late the appointment will be cancelled. She wasn’t empathetic or polite. So rude and basically told me to take it or leave it. So I left and I will never be coming back. They need better processes and better customer service. The rude nurse was Asian looking. I have been with this practice for a while and the service I receive is mediocre but this experience did it for me.

Fantastic experience: Although my appointment had been booked for sometime for a routine check up, a few weeks before a bit came off one of my teeth. I was quite happy to leave this till my check up. Unfortunately the tooth had to be taken out, but was happy it was all sorted there and then without the need for a further appointment.

Fantastic experience: Until finding Jelena as my dentist I was terrified of dental work after previous bad experiences. Jelena was recommended to me and can honestly say she is the most kind & caring dentist I have ever met. The work she has done on my teeth is amazing. Fantastic experience: I have been registered and had several appointments with Bhavin Chandarana at Mydentist on Clarendon Rd since the later part of 2024. I don’t enjoy the greatest of health and my attention to my own personal care, especially my dental health can suffer significantly. I am always embarrassed and concerned about the state of my teeth as a result. Since seeing Bhavin Chandarana regularly, I have been bowled over by the quality of his care and attention to detail, ensuring all issues have been prioritised and managed. My teeth feel better than they have in many years. However, the most significant element of Dr. chandarana’s care for me is his personable, down to earth and delightful manner. He gives me time and space to settle, discusses and explains everything beautifully and ensures that I am comfortable, whilst always delivering excellent dentistry and skill. I have found that my own motivation and determination to manage and take care of my teeth, ensuring I make and keep better and more robust habits has been accelerated as a direct result of the treatment and care I have and, thankfully, continue to receive. Negative experience: Had terrible experience today - examination in a very small room - no Air conditioning - room looked grubby no confidence in the dentist at all and the assistant must have been on day one of training as the dentist had to keep repeating and going over to help out after each tooth identification. Not Good

Fantastic experience: Update July 2024 I have recently completed a course of further treatments - composite bonding and a replacement bridge. I'm really pleased with the results and can't rate Dr Jelena highly enough. Her patient care, knowledge and professional are to the highest standards. It has been clear to me throughout that her desire to do a great job is her number one objective, and she is not happy until the very best results have been obtained. She is an absolute asset to the team. ---- I have been using this surgery for years for both NHS treatment (general check ups, scale and polish) and private treatment (air polishing, whitening, braces) and the staff are just wonderful. Jelena, my dentist, is so knowledgeable and explains everything really clearly. She takes pride in what she does and is a joy to deal with. Adele has provided me with great guidance around my braces, helping me to make an informed decision to best meet my needs. Visits are always pleasant - I can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at this dentistry for more than 5 years now and I can honestly say I am really happy there. Everyone is lovely, starting from receptionists , nurses and doctors. I especially would like to highlight Dr Jelena, she has been absolutely wonderful and you can tell that she is very passionate of what she does. I have done teeth whitening programme and also changed fillings to my front teeth, honestly, it was quite costly but heck it was worth it! My smile is beautiful now :)

She was able to book me in within a week with the dentist I wanted to see. On the day, I was seen on time. The dentist was friendly & reassuring & was able to remove my painful back tooth swiftly & painlessly. I was given clear advice on aftercare before I left. Great service. Thank you. 29th May 2025 Update: Visited for an appointment with hygienist, Saher, today. She was friendly and reassuring and very professional. Numbed my very sensitive gums before starting treatment. Cleaned my teeth so well that my husband commented he'd never seen them look so clean! Negative experience: Absolutely diabolical service from start to finish. During my initial visit (08.12.23) I was told I didn't have an appointment, and was made to feel like I was going crazy attending the wrong practice, despite my assurances that it was definitely this practice which I'd registered with via phone. After leaving, feeling very confused, they later realised it was their error and called to confirm - whoever took my call recorded my contact details incorrectly AND booked me in with a dentist who was on long term sick. I therefore took the morning off work for absolutely no reason as there was no replacement dentist to see me on arrival. One rude staff member made no attempt to apologise, and quite frankly shouldn't be working front of house. At this stage I spelt out my correct email address so this could be updated on their system, but they clearly did not do so (see below). To make matters worse, I later receive a parking fine as no one in reception had notified me to the need to obtain a parking permit despite knowing this was my first visit. This appointment was then rescheduled for 30.01.24 and I was given a receipt to confirm this appointment. On arrival (30.01.24) the same rude staff member was on reception and she was again unable to locate my appointment details. No apology once again and no explanation given for their error. Whilst a manager arranged to squeeze me in for an appointment with a 15 minute wait, I was so infuriated by this time that I didn't want to give them my time of day, nor money. Why would someone want to hang around and wait in an environment where patients are clearly not respected?! After submitting a second complaint, I was informed that my appointment had been postponed due to the dentist being off sick. She informs me that an email was sent to notify me of this; however this was once again sent to an incorrect email address... I'd like to say 'third time lucky' but it's safe to say I won't be returning to test this theory. There's also not much point in making a formal complaint - you'll receive an insincere apology from the manager, and no changes will be made. Avoid at all costs!!

Fantastic experience: I can't rate the dentist I see highly enough ~ Jelena. I am a very anxious patient & in the past avoided the dentist causing me to lose a few teeth. However since seeing Jelena I have built a trust that I now know longer dread attending. She doesn't judge, she puts me at ease & keeps me informed each step of the way. For a fearful patient I would 100% recommend. Evie the dental nurse also is great keeping the atmosphere light & friendly which also puts me at ease. Thank you both

Fantastic experience: Good Afternoon. I would like to express my happiness and gratitude regarding Dr. Jelena and assistant Kira. Today I went to see them for a filling of a tooth that gave me severe pain. It has been a long and painful jorney until a friend of mine recomended me Dr. Mihailova. I have to say that I am absolutely mortified when it comes to going to the dentist. I am beyond scared and anxious so it wasn't an easy decision to take. When I finally decided to go and see Dr. Jelena it was one of the best days ever. Beside her being an absolute proffesional and explained me all the ways, all the steps, she also promised me NO PAIN. That was music to my ears. So after 1 root canal treatment and 3 fillings I can definetely say it was PAINLESS!!! NO PAIN AT ALL! And the fillings look so nice, they match your teeth perfect. I also have to praise that Dr Jelena beside being an amazing DOCTOR she has this calmness and aura and such a good and positive energy. The way she spoke to me and the way she spoke to her assistant was so nice and calm, loved every minute there! Every visit was more than a treatment it was therapy. A big thank you Dr Jelena and Kira for taking care of me!! I can't wait to come in 6 months for a checkup. THANK YOU My Dentist Hinckley!!!

Positive experience: Treatment I received was absolutely excellent however, reception failed to mention you had to type in your car reg number for parking. Ending up paying more for the parking ticket than the check up...
Fantastic experience: I was in excruciating pain because of my molar cavity that has reached the nerve, went to mydentist and was received by a lovely receptionist who immediately registered me and booked me for an urgent dentist appointment as soon as possible. Considering it was my first time ever going to a dentist, the dentist Harminder Sihota examined me, did the xrays, clearly explained the situation to me and what to expect also gave very helpful oral care advices, prescribed me antibiotics and performed a root canal the next following week. The procedure went smooth, Harminder showed great expertise and never forgot to reassured me while performing the root canal as i was nervous since it was my first time ever. After the root canal and the temporary filling I was already able to eat and was pain free for a couple of weeks. At last Harminder put the permanent filling and I’m honestly so impressed with the final results, it looks as if I had never had a cavity on that molar. Considering it was only one tooth that was decayed the price was very reasonable. I am extremely happy with the service and would definitely recommend mydentist and Harminder to anyone who is local.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental care. I have a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist (as I’m sure most people do) but I really needn’t have worried. I had an initial assessment with Dr Jelena to discuss a filling, stain removal and pain in my jaw due to TMJ . After an examination of my teeth and some X-rays she went through all my options and the prices. (I paid for a private appointment because I had been waiting two years for an nhs appointment and I didn’t want to wait any longer) Dr Jelena discussed both nhs prices and private prices, there was no pressure at all to make a decision then and there. There are also payment plans such as pay in three and a monthly plan where you pay around £8 per month and that entitles you to a % off and a free check up and hygienist appointment a year. I went back a week later for the dental work to be carried out and I have got to say it was THE BEST DENTIST VISIT Iv ever had! Again I had been a bit nervous but Jelena put me at ease, she said we could stop at any point or take a break and kept checking on how I was feeling and explaining everything as she went along. I felt genuinely cared for and there was pretty much no pain considering I was having work done. Until that appointment I have never left a dentist happy, so I really do want to sing her praises!! I have recommended her to several people since and I would 100% go back to her specifically every time. The work has been brilliant, filling colour matched my tooth perfectly. The stain removal was fantastic and I’d recommend the air polishing too. My teeth look and feel great. I’m just waiting for my night guard/ retainer fitting when it’s back from the lab. I have high hopes it will help my TMJ pain. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: Chipped a tooth on a nut and it proved quite expensive. Called my dentist in Clarendon Road where I have been visiting for some 50 years through various owners. They would not accept me as an NHS patient as I had not been there during the last 3 years. Covid and lock down meant nothing. So, I had to be seen privately at a cost of £89, paid over the phone when booking the appointment. The tooth was examined, but not the rest of my teeth, and filled in less than 20 minutes but the cost was a further £150. The dentist, who was very polite, blamed inflation. £239 out of an old persons pension is a lot especially for less than 20 minutes work. Beware of eating nuts and only use this dental practice as a last resort

If we do not hear from a patient in this time, we must assume they are being seen elsewhere for their oral hygiene check-ups. At your last check-up, the dentist will have advised when you should next attend, this is usually either 6 or 12 months, it is then the responsibility of the patient to make sure they book this next check-up at the given time. Failure to do so, will result in removal from the practice books, in order to create space for the growing waiting list of patients trying to access NHS dentistry.
It may be helpful to use our website or the NHS website to locate a practice within your area that may have the capacity to take on new patients.

Positive experience: During a Hygenist appointment I enquired about a mark I had on my tooth, if there was anything that could be done to get rid of it, I was recommended to speak to one of the private Dentist's Jelena She went through the options and explained everything fully Everything was very easy and clear and I started having teeth whitening before Composite bonding on my front tooth that was marked, I had regular check ups throughout the treatment to ensure everything was satisfactory, my whitening treatment was made longer at no extra cost as Jelena wasnt happy with the level achieved, aftercare products are available at the surgery and if they have none in stock they are happy to order in for the next day all in all highly recommend

I had been asked to bring in my grandson for his check up, and have to say that from stepping in the door the staff were lovely. Fantastic experience: Special shout out to Rikki the dentist and his nurse Kirra. I went in with pain plus sensitivity in one of my teeth, all baseline checks where done and xray was taken on the day which showed I needed a filling. I was advised to rebook for an appointment and was very impressed that I was fitted in with a time that suited my busy life. When I came back to have the filling done, every stage was explained clearly and that made me feel very relaxed. I am grateful for this level of professionalism and team work. Fantastic experience: My daughter is autistic, with demand avoidant traits and sensory processing issues. An appointment with the dentist is therefore a hugely anxious time for her. My daughter needed an emergency appointment and was seen by Dr Jelena Mihailova and dental nurse Evie. They were both absolutely amazing. From the outset they were warm, welcoming and non-judgmental. They took the time to understand my daughter’s needs and fears, and structured the treatment in a way my daughter could cope with (which is nothing short of miraculous). Before the treatment commenced they talked her through the procedure, explaining what they were going to do and what tools they would be using - calling them busy bee 1, busy bee 2 etc and showing her what each tool did. During the treatment itself, they told my daughter what they were doing at each stage and were constantly checking that she was okay and giving reassurance. Their knowledge and empathy are second to none. I cannot recommend Jelena and Evie highly enough, they have changed my daughters perception of the dentist and I will be forever grateful for that.

Negative experience: I would never go near them again. Rude, rip off merchant's, with an unhelpful attitude. Querry their behaviour, and they shout at you to get out. Unbelievable

Negative experience: Had an appointment booked but had no choice to not attend on the day of due to a chronic illness I have (and they are aware of) which cannot be helped. Upon getting in for the rescheduled appointment, we were then told just before the appointment that they had removed me off of the NHS registry because I missed that appointment due to my chronic condition playing up that day rendering me entirely unable to go and near bed bound. And due to being removed off of this registry, I was no longer entitled to NHS care. I had no choice but to pay for this appointment out of pocket and future appointments privately and we were told there was nothing that we could do, and nothing the dentists were willing to do to help. The people at the front desk were very argumentative, became overly defensive very quickly, and were quite condescending when we were just asking questions about why I was removed from the registry exactly (we were never told this was even possible, nor were we told there was absolutely no way to get back on the registry after you're removed). Okay dental care as a child when I was younger, nowadays I wouldn't hesitate to say this place is just after your money and willingly prioritizes that over your care and wellbeing. Thank god I have BUPA coverage so I can go elsewhere now, I recommend others do the same or find another dental practice, especially for disabled people or anyone that finds they frequently get sick. There was no concern here for personal circumstances as the support team person is trying to claim in the reply. In fact, despite being directly told about the personal circumstances before the registry issue, the practice team directly said it doesn't matter as it doesn't change anything (they will remove you from the registry regardless) and didn't really seem to care.
We are very sorry to receive your 1 star review, as we are unable to locate you on our records we are at this time unable to respond to your review. However it may help you to understand that although we will always take into account personal circumstances, where patients fail to attend or cancel appointments with no/limited notice on a frequent basis, it will impact on the practice both in terms of cost and wasted surgery time. Therefore, it is with regret that we are unable to continue to offer dental services to these patients.

Negative experience: Unacceptable customer services. Been waiting for the appointment for 4 months just to be told on the day that the dentist will see me only if I pay as a private customer (£85 more) and the dentist wouldn't even discuss this further. Not coming back here ever again. AVOID! The dentist Jelena only cares about the money, noone cares if you are in pain ...
We are sorry to ready your 1* review. It may help to explain, if a patient does not attend the practice for a 2-year period they can be removed from the practice list. If we do not hear from a patient in this time, we must assume they are being seen elsewhere for their oral hygiene check-ups. At your last check-up, the dentist will have advised when you should next attend, this is usually either 6 or 12 months, it is then the responsibility of the patient to make sure they book this next check-up at the given time. Failure to do so, will result in removal from the practice books, in order to create space for the growing waiting list of patients trying to access NHS dentistry. Where routine NHS provision is not currently available, your practice will be able to offer alternative private options.
It may be helpful to use our website or the NHS website to locate a practice within your area that may have the capacity to take on new patients.
