Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my young children a couple times to the dentist now, to get them used to going and not be nervous. Every time the staff treat them with such care and help them feel so at ease whilst being at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment today for a new patient oral health assessment with Dr Lauren Smith and Nurse Lara. From the first call and warm welcome from Jessa at reception to the care from the dental team, the whole experience was friendly and professional. I felt comfortable straight away and would happily recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Wellswood and Babbacombe dental are amazing my daughter has been going since 18 month's old they have always been kinda and gentle, Eliza looks forward to going to the dental now and has no fear and I think that’s all down to them. The dentists are always giving me ideas and tips on how to brush Eliza teeth and keep them clean in other ways as well. Thank you guys for being amazing! 10/10 Service wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

An appointment was offered within 3 hours. The dentist was really thorough and kind with my husband. Nothing negative to say.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend wellswood and babbacombe dental! Me and My children are patients here (Children under the NHS). You can get same day emergency appointments, which my daughter had one yesterday. ALL of the staff and dentists are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Not to badly priced for there payment plans and and treatment needed considering how expensive things have gotten recently.

Fantastic experience: I hate dentists with a passion, probably because of school dentists when I was young, however today I had to go and have a filling, not something I have ever looked forward to, however , the two young ladies that looked after me today, did their best to put me at ease, as they prodded poked and drilled into my mouth my worries and apprehension melted away, along with all sense of time. Was I in there for 10 minutes or half an hour? Who knows,? who cares? After what felt like quite a short time I was free to escape, my filling completed, no pain no aches, just a sense of relief it was finished with. Congratulations to the pair of them for a job well done.

Fantastic experience: I had a check-up with Dr Geraldes and his nurse Livvy last Friday, I felt very at ease and my concern was explained to me really well. The reception team are very accomodating as I am now booked for a filling in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait.

Fantastic experience: The dentist is very good with my daughter who doesn't always like to go there. They reassure her. And will take the time to show my daughter the next step and the equipment before they do it. My daughter used to go to the dentist and need to watch something so that the dentist could do what they need to. And now she doesn't either need to watch anything on the phone.

Fantastic experience: Lin and dental nurse Jesse were lovely. Small filling required and I had no pain. Lin kept checking I was okay and explained every step she made. Excellent service. One negative and that is the cost. Quite expensive however this is set by the practice.

Fantastic experience: I have had many visits over the last couple months and have received such a lovely greeting from the receptionist the nurses dentist and hygienist. They go above and beyond to make you feel at ease would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’m an extremely nervous patient, but DrLauren Smith and all the nurses and receptionists are kind and put me at ease, so much so that for once in my lifetime (I’m 73) don’t dread dentist appointments

Negative experience: It’s a lovely practice, very clean and well presented. However my last experience wasn’t great. I had a relatively early appointment (9.40am) but I didn’t get in until approximately 10.05, so they were already a full 25 minutes behind. Whilst there were lots of staff around, no one came in to warn me or apologise until the nurse came out to bring me through for my checkup. I am not on a payment or membership plan, so had prepaid the £75 checkup fee, which feels very expensive for what was essentially counting how many teeth I had - I was in there for around 4 minutes in total. It would have been longer as they told me they were going to do x-rays, which just felt like a standard thing. With an ongoing cost of living crisis, money is very tight, so I thought I would check if the x-rays were included in the fee I had paid, at which point I was told they were an additional £30. Had I not asked, they would have just done the x-rays and I wouldn’t have had a choice but to pay the extra money. I feel like they should be MUCH clearer that these are an extra charge and give people a choice as to whether they go ahead. I understand the practice is having to work within guidelines and it’s essentially now just a business like any other, as opposed to a health service like dentists used to be. At every opportunity, I was being sold something which had extortionate costs associated to it. As I say, a lovely practice with lovely people but this wasn’t a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely experience today. The team are so kind, compassionate and patient. I have a very anxious little girl and today was the closest to a dental exam we have come. She can't stop talking about it, and showing me her chicken glove baloon. Such amazing dentists and highly recommend Tiera if you have young children.

Fantastic experience: Always been great - got me over my fear enough to have a couple of problems fixed. Which included getting an implant. That worked out really well. I recently had a tongue-tie cut (frenectomy) and it has worked brilliantly also. Wish I'd done it sooner. Thanks to all the team at W&B.

However, my experience at Wellswood & Babbacombe Dental has been exceptionally positive. The dentist is highly professional, making the visit both comfortable and reassuring. What's more, all the staff at the surgery are wonderfully informal and friendly, which really helped ease my nerves. Overall, I am very happy with the service I received and would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I really don't like going to the dentist (like most people) but I really don't mind now I'm registered with Wellswood & Babbacombe Dental Surgery. They are so helpful and forthcoming with the information you need. Particularly, Lauren and Hannah, who I see regularly, they are so lovely. I've not looked after my teeth as well as I should of in the past. But now they have a great plan and aim for me going forward to correct these problems as best as possible, and I thank them for that immensely ✔️

Lauren and her nurse Jessa were the best - the procedure was quick and totally painless. Care and after care were second to none. Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today with Dentist Manuel for a check up. My whole experience was perfect from the moment I walked in. Greeted by a lovely young man by the name of Josh on reception,went through to a very calming waiting room. I was taken upstairs by a lovely young dental Nurse to meet Manuel. He was the nicest Dentist I have ever been to in my life and I'm 63 years young. He was very gentle throughout my examination,i had xrays taken and then he explained everything to me and showed me the x-rays. I was also given a printout of my estimate for treatment. I enquired if they did a dental plan, which they do. I have now joined the plan and booked my future appointments. A very satisfied customer ,I would highly recommend. Cont 1/11/24 At a later date I had to have a long course of treatment,every visit my anxiety was always taken into consideration and I never suffered any pain. I now see the hygienist regular, and she's great. The best practice in the Bay

Fantastic experience: I managed to register my children here after their dentist retired and all local dentists we tried weren't accepting new patients, they were fitted in really quickly thankfully as both needed a filling. The service we received was informative, patient, friendly and kind. both children were put at ease while receiving treatment and both have said that they prefer their new dentist. Fantastic experience: It was my 1 year old twins first time at the dentist, Tiera was amazing! Wasn’t pushy with seeing my childrens teeth and just got what information she could. Gave me some advice on how to encourage my children to start brushing their teeth and gave us some general advice which was very useful. Receptionist was very polite and friendly too. Everyone we met was lovely and the experience overall was amazing. So happy I’ve chosen this dentist for my children!

Fantastic experience: This practice is the very best I've experienced in many decades. Dr Manuel is a friendly, professional, and highly skilled dental surgeon. His expert anaesthesia and extraordinary talent in root canal treatment and crown fixing resulted in a virtually pain-free surgery over three appointments. I couldn't be happier with the end result. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming, and seem very happy in their work. The practice hygienist facility has recently been upgraded to offer AirFlow teeth cleaning which I can highly recommend, together with hygienist Tiera This treatment does an outstanding job removing stains and plaque without the need for old school scraping. We're very fortunate to have this superb practice in the neighbourhood.

So today I had to have a fair bit of work done on a broken molar, I am a ridiculously nervous patient (I hate spiders but I am petrified of the dentist), Imran and his lovely assistant (sorry I can't remember your name) made me feel relaxed from the start, after local anaesthetic, the whole treatment was pain free, stress free and I felt relaxed the whole way through. It's changed my whole perception of going to the dentist! I'll never fear going again.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had one of my back teeth cause me so much pain . My normal dentist couldn’t remove it as it was a tricky extraction . I’ve been on the hospital waiting list for over 2 years . I decided after another infection to go private . I’m so glad I did . The first consultation I met Dr Imran . He talked me through worse case scenarios if they couldn’t remove the tooth . I had X-rays and he really took the time to explain everything to me . I was a little nervous and as soon as I walked in the staff at reception put me at ease . The procedure itself was painless and Dr Imran and nurse Chiara were so caring and really looked after me . I’m happy to say I didn’t need the worse case scenario and the tooth was removed all fine . The aftercare was great also . Big thanks !

The practise itself was beautiful, the front desk staff were absolutely lovely and my dentist Lauren was a sweetheart. Straight away offered to refer me to specialists for things they can’t do in practise and never once made me feel small or like I did something wrong, even though teeth are in bad condition. Wellswood dentist has been a pleasant experience, all concerns met and I was given a lot of reassurance. Fantastic experience: We have had a lovely experience at Wellswood and Babbacombe Dental. My little boy is autistic and it’s quite challenging to get him to cooperate! Dr Rochester, however, managed to get a look in his mouth and made him (and me) feel complexly at ease. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and the surgery is lovely.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic service. My own dentist put me on a waiting list so I had to find a dentist in an emergency to do a filling. This practise were so professional and welcomed me in straight away to put me out of my pain. Lauren and her assistant were so kind and the quality of my filling was the best I've had. No fuss and no pain at all during the procedure.
