Fantastic experience: Have been a client of Links Dental for many years now - first with Dr Ian Stewart, then Dr Shiona Rees and Moon as hygienist. Have always been completely satisfied with the level of care and support, and excellent explanation of all procedures carried out and the newer options available to improve my smile. Have great confidence that the health of my teeth and gums is being well looked after as I grow older, with the state of the art equipment and high level of care. I was pleased to meet new dentist Niall Bradley on recent visit, working with assistant Rita. I am very confident in the level of care going forward.

Negative experience: After quite a few dentists and bad experiences I thought I had found the perfect dentist!! Unfortunately, they are not what I expected and very disappointed. After spending nearly £3000 I am now in a worse place

Everyone from my dental surgeons Jasmine and Bethany, to the reception staff have treated me with professionalism and kindness. I was extremely nervous prior to my treatment beginning but my concerns were alleviated at my initial appointment. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Links dental practice to anyone looking to have dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: Hello, My experience with Links Dental Practice was very positive. I was reluctant to go to the dentist after years of putting it off, but finally felt it simply had to be done. The receptionists were extremely kind friendly and welcoming My dentist was called Apil, he was very skilled and competent, he took the time to explain to me on every appointment, what treatment needed to be done, and why, which was reassuring to hear. He also showed me the dental work/photos and x-rays that had been successfully completed during my treatment. I also had an appointment with a very caring and supportive hygienist called Moon. She was lovely. Everybody that I spoke to was professional and caring. 5 stars from me! ⭐️

Fantastic experience: I recently completed a course of teeth whitening treatment followed by a composite veneer at Links Dental practice. My dentist is Apil and the dental nurse Addy. I’m absolutely delighted with the teeth whitening results and can’t thank Apil enough for the wonderful job he did in matching the veneer to my new teeth colour, ably supported by Addy. I’ve been a patient at Links Dental practice for around 30 years and it’s a wonderful practice - all the staff are great and always very friendly and approachable!

Fantastic experience: I was initially sceptical about signing up for regular visitsto the dental hygeinist but am now an enthusiastic convert. Moon goes the extra mile, explaining clearly whats going on, taking the necessary action and then focussing on making my teeth look less grotty. Worth every penny.

Over the past year and a half, Sam has been nothing short of fantastic—professional, approachable, and incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. From the beginning, he helped me put together a financial plan that worked for me, and was always open, honest, and clear about what to expect at every stage. I saw him regularly (every few weeks to a month), and he was consistently great to communicate with—always making sure I felt comfortable and informed. I also had whitening done as part of the treatment and I’m so pleased with the results. The whole team at Links Dental Practice were brilliant—friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. I can’t recommend Sam and the team enough if you're considering Invisalign or any other dental treatment. A genuinely five-star experience!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Links Dental Practice for over three years now, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services. I'm often in to see the dentist Sam (who is excellent!), but I'd also like to give a shout-out to Moon, one of their dental hygienists (and her assistant Ellie). I've seen Moon for several appointments, and she is exceptional. As someone with sensitive teeth and gums, Moon is always incredibly attentive and I feel genuinely comfortable throughout our appointments. Overall, Links DP is a reliable and caring practise in the area, and if you need a hygienist, I highly recommend booking an appointment with Moon – you won't be disappointed! ☺️

Negative experience: I decided to not to have treatment at this practice, and here’s a warning to those who will be thinking of one, especially for orthodontics. I phone up asking about Invisalign, and for the absence of a better term, I was gaslit into paying £20 to attend “an appointment”, which turned out to be nothing more than a sales pitch from a member of staff with no dental qualification. It was really awkward. Initially I was told this appointment is completely free, and by the time all my details were taken the “completely free” became a £20 payment. I wouldn’t mind paying if this was for an actual value, but it wasn’t. Everything came across as a really agressive upsell, which is concerning in the medical world. Upon arrival I was given a very odd form to complete that has no medical relevance, and then taken to a basement room where I was simply explained what Invisalign is (which I already know), and shown some pictures. Other practices offer a full 3D scan free of charge (Gums & Teeth), or at the very least a free dentist appointment to assess the treatment (Bruntsfield Dental). This was also the highest quote of all I have received (over £6000 for everything) and in all sincerity this practice came across as a trap and an expensive mistake to make. Why would a business choose to act like this considering the reputational damage it entails? I had to report the £20 transaction as fraud with my bank as I never received an invoice for this “service”, and neither the refund.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had an excellent experience with Dr Jasmine and Links Dental Practice. Having recently moved to Edinburgh I hadn’t yet organised a dentist when I suffered a broken tooth. A friend recommended Links dental practice and they were able to see me very quickly. Dr Jasmine and Bethany were able to patch things up immediately, allowing me to enjoy Christmas. Dr Jasmine explained the treatment options and talked me through a treatment plan. This was reassuring for me as someone who suffers from dental anxiety. I found the team very patient, empathetic and caring. They had very high standards in delivering the treatment, taking time to achieve a perfect bite and regularly checking I was satisfied with the results. The tooth is now fully repaired (I didn’t think this would be possible) and has allowed me to enjoy meals again. The reception staff are always very organised and welcoming and the late opening times are very convenient.

Positive experience: Excellent, friendly care. Neither of the two front desk staff looked up to greet me as I entered until I greeted them. Then they asked for my name without so much as a "good morning". Perfectly pleasant, but need to act more professionally now that this is a wholly private practice. NOTE: Follow up visit three weeks later, first class as always but Reception very engaged and helpful. Almost makes visiting the dentist a pleasure!

Fantastic experience: A crown popped out after a couple of days of tender niggling leaving a hole into the root. I was very fortunate to get an ‘unscheduled’ appointment the day after calling in about it, though not with my usual dentist as she was on annual leave. Dr/Mr Ross was so kind and gentle, probing in exactly the right spots with his instrument- I knew I was in the hands of an experienced expert. He took time to check every detail and make sure the reinserted crown was sitting just right, whilst explaining every step. I just felt he didn’t miss a thing, even though it was a simple enough dentistry job. I’ve had crowns reinserted before but this time was memorable.. excellent dentistry. Thankyou, Mr Ross!

Negative experience: The clinic took 20£ for deposit. And the way to return is not safe from the technical aspects. The Invisalign consult is not professional compared to other clinics. Not recommended at all.
