Fantastic experience: I spoke with Shannon this morning to ask for an emergency appointment, I explained the problem, she made it possible for me to have an appointment with a dentist today, she was kind and extremely helpful. After my visit with the dentist Shannon helped with payment options.

Fantastic experience: My dentist, Andre Noroozi, performed a much dreaded and somewhat complex tooth extraction in half the time he had allotted for this, without complications. He was very kind and gracious when I arrived late and flustered, and had a chillout playlist running in the background to which he hummed along occasionally, creating an atmosphere of calm.

Fantastic experience: Great customer / patient experience! For someone that has grown up dreading the dentist, it has become a pleasure to go to the dentist! Professional/fun team! The team at Bupa Dental Care Prestonfield, demonstrate some of the best customer / patient experience I have seen. The team's friendly, patient focused care is fantastic. They make the process seamless and are always very supportive whether it is just a routine check up or issues with having to change dates last minute. Marion leads a fantastic team, and while it is unfair single out anyone Shannon is always there with a smile and an explanation of what is required procedurally. Above and beyond! Bupa Dental care have always employed some of the best dentists and even when I lived in London for 15 years I continued to come back to Prestonfield for my treatment. My current dentist, Ioannis is no exception. His patient care is superb. I always get a bit nervous at the dentist and find that distracting myself with humming helps. On my last visit he hummed some Handel while I worked to distract me! what dentist does that..!! Always impressed and grateful! :)

The singing however is slightly dubious. Overall a great experience for something most people dread

Fantastic experience: I have attended Bupa Dental Care Prestonfield for over 33 years when it was Ivy Dental, long before Bupa took over the practice. Recently, I required a heavily filled molar, that had some decay, to be drilled out, filled and topped with a crown. My new dentist Eunho Kim first of all spotted that it needed to be treated, then over two appointments carried out extensive dentistry, to ensure that the tooth was free of decay, filled, then fitted with a topping crown which fitted perfectly first time. Throughout the treatment I was very impressed with Euno's skill, thoroughness and patience. I would highly recommend Eunho Kim at Bupa Prestonfield

The dentist is very good at explaining what needs done and goes over things if you are unsure . Very welcoming practise indeed of the highest of standards

Negative experience: The reception team called to confirm my appointment the day before but gave me the wrong time causing me to show up late and miss the appointment. They are charging me £60 for the missed appointment. This is a total scam.

Fantastic experience: I had a new dentist Eunho Kim. He is a very nice dentist and made you feel relaxed. I was happy with the outcome of my crown. All the staff are friendly and the surgeries are all very clean.

Fantastic experience: This is a very friendly, professional efficient practice. I would like to share a recent experience of the service I received recently where the practice went the extra mile with a wisdom tooth extraction. Being a wisdom tooth it was a relatively difficult procedure, and due to this they stayed open until after 5pm when they normally close. The staff being Dr Gruber (dentist), Katalin (dental nurse) and then Marion (receptionist) followed up with a call the next morning - on a Saturday which was amazing of her too. Sadly, there is no option to give 10 stars.

Fantastic experience: Have recently joined the practice and had an appointment with Dr Eunho Kim, the new dentist, he was absolutely fantastic. Incredibly thorough and gave the impression that he really wants to make sure that your teeth are well looked after. My 6 month old son also had an appointment and I cannot thank Eunho enough for how amazing he is with such a young baby in their first appointment. 100% would recommend.

On my recent visit I was seen right away. The ladies at reception are delightful,cheerful and helpful.The dental staff are wonderful.My visit was a delightful experience all round. Not something one usually associates with a trip to the dentist!

Negative experience: My girlfriend was in for an emergency tooth extraction after she had not been to the dentist for 13 years due to extreme fear of it, Joachim Gruber was the dentist he was absolutely horrible the entire time telling my girlfriend "crying wont help im afraid" and then going on about how she has let her teeth rot ect absolutely no empathy shown at all, and a constant attitude, anyone going here especially woman i advise you do your best to avoid him. i also got the impression he does not like people getting services through the NHS rather than private, as you will see from alot of the other reviews, Horrible man no idea how he is still in a job.

Fantastic experience: Both my dentist (Avis D'Costa) and my hygenist (Janette McColl) have been superb. Janette is very reassuring and kind, but tells you how it is and what needs to be done. Great, friendly, capable receptionists too. Excellent team.

Negative experience: I had a appointment today as a emergency for a extraction. The woman was not experienced in extraction was willing to give it a try .I burst out in tears .I ask who is and when can I get my extraction because I am in severe pain. Today is Monday I have to wait till Wednesday for a experienced Dr that can do extraction at 2 o'clock. I have been with the practice since I was 7 years old . It has changed alot . Would I recommend the practice at dalkeith Rd NO .

Negative experience: I've been going here since I was a child, back when it was Ivy Dental. I'd always been attended to well, got seen to swiftly whenever I had emergencies and staff polite and friendly. Since Bupa has taken over, there has been a slow decline in the quality of services offered and a lack of care to long term patients. In the last year alone I've had 3 last minute cancellations from dentists and hygienists with no renumeration, but simply given a date 4 months away from my original appointment. I've found even a checkup is getting rarer to get these days, and it's highly concerning. I'll stick with them for now but I am seriously considering going elsewhere given the disgraceful waiting times and disregard to long time customers.
