Fantastic experience: I was referred to Edgar Buildings Dental & Implant Clinic by my own dentist following a root canal infection. I had heard the horror stories about root canal treatment so I was very apprehensive about having the procedure. Frederico and all the dental nurses were very reassuring and explained everything before and during the procedure. Even though the main procedure itself took over 2 hours it was not painful at all. I have now finished all the treatments and my tooth is so much better. Would definitely recommend going there for anyone who is worried about root canal treatment. Many thanks to everyone there.

Negative experience: I had to wait 9 weeks after getting my teeth scanned to receive an aligner which resulted in it fitting so tightly I could hardly take it off. Within the first two weeks of using it the composite bonding on one of my front teeth broke off. I believe this was caused by the tooth being under too much pressure due to the aligner being so tight. I had to pay £276.00 to get the tooth fixed - no offer of any kind of compensation or money to go towards this was offered. I wish I’d never gone ahead with the treatment.

Fantastic experience: I was warned that root canal treatment was very painful. Frederico and the nurse helping explained everything as we went along and I found the whole procedure relatively painless and straightforward.

Fantastic experience: I've been with my dentist Sally Davies at Edgar Buildings Bath for a number of years and was a nervous wreck to start with (as she would confirm) but due to her care, expertise and approach, have lost my fear of dentistry and my absolute dread of attending for check- ups and cleaning. Jacquie, the Hygienist, is equally amazing and I positively look forward to seeing them both. All round it is great experience with caring experts, and believe me the trust and service delivered is something money can't buy.

Fantastic experience: Our son’s tooth snapped during an extraction at the practice and he was urgently referred to Dr Liliana. Whilst we understand these things can happen My son and I felt very concerned about the next steps and in truth we had lost all confidence . However from the moment Dr Liliana greeted us she created a sense of calm ,warmth and utter professionalism . To watch her work with such precision and efficiency was so impressive but more importantly our son described feeling that he was in safe hands with her throughout the process and the gum has since healed perfectly. During a painless and much less anticipated duration of the procedure he, with the help of the dental nurse, walked me through every step of the process with calm, reassurance and substantial skill and kindness. Negative experience: I deeply resent that, having presented 15 minutes before appointed time, to be subsequently greeted by the clinician without an apology for running late (14 minutes past appointed time!) Almost as if our time as individuals is not as important as the clinician! This is "Private Practice" after all and I would expect greater level of courtesy as a consequence! I also found that, in my consultation, the clinician's attitude was not as sympathetic and understanding as it should be. I would not recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: I needed a difficult root canal treatment. It's not that I was afraid of pain from a root canal, and indeed it wasn't painful at all. It's just that I'm rather claustrophobic at the dentist sometimes, and I was very nervous that I wouldn't cope. Frederico was great, understanding and gentle, and keeping me informed as we went along, which really helped me to be calm all through. I actually couldn't believe how quickly it was all finished, and the tooth is saved. Big thumbs up for Frederico!

Fantastic experience: The great thing about this practice is how consistently professional and attentive everyone involved is; from the booking experience through to any follow up on a procedure, it all goes smoothly. I personally mostly see Sally Davies and have had treatments with others in the practice so have no hesitation in recommending the practice as a whole. This seems to me also to be very much a medically oriented practice; they do offer aesthetic/cosmetic services but the priority is very clearly dental health rather than selling me the opportunity for my teeth to dazzle oncoming cars. Pricing seems reasonable and very clearly set out with options for each plan (rather than just a general price list).

Fantastic experience: I was having a much delayed implanted inserted. The procedure went smoothly Philip and the dental nurse were both highly efficient and professional. The procedure in itself is not a pleasant one, but Philip made me as comfortable as possible. I also appreciated his phone call to me the following day to check if everything was all right.

Fantastic experience: Went for an emergency appointment while staying in Bath in August. Excellent service and same day visit. The dentist I saw, Dany, was brilliant and so nice. She was very quick to assess what was wrong and dealt with it in a very professional and caring manner. Someone then called me a few days later to check how I was and if the emergency treatment I received helped. Thinking of doing my routine check ups in Bath now even I do not live there. Fantastic experience: I recommend this dental clinic. I’m very grateful to have found this place. All the receptionists are very polite and courteous, and the entire staff is pleasant and friendly. I had to partially redo work done abroad, which was of poor quality, unprofessional, and had a rude approach. I want to express my special thanks to the implantologist Philip Pettemerides for his professional work and his attentive attitude, as well as for explaining everything thoroughly, which made me feel at ease. I also want to extend my gratitude to the lab for successfully correcting the job from the previous place .

Positive experience: Everyone is professional and kind. The practice is clean. The dentist are knowledgeable You just know you're taken care of by experts. It's does come with a price but I think overall still worth it for the great service they provide.

Fantastic experience: While visiting Bath I had an unexpected infection in one of my upper rear molar roots and it was also infecting my sinus cavity. It was a very painful experience and needed emergency care. After visiting on foot, a number of dental offices listed on my google maps, all of who could not (too busy and no appointment times available) or would not provide care (including NHS Emergency Dental Care as I was not from the UK) I came across the Edgar Building Dental Clinic. I was met with a caring and understanding receptionist who understood my dilemma and to my amazement found a way to fit me in to see one of the dentists within an hour. A timely and efficient review of my condition by the dentist followed by an x-ray of the infected area confirmed an infection an antibiotics were prescribed giving me relief within about a day. This allowed me the necessary relief and time to contact my periodontist back in Canada to set up an appointment for further care once home. What could have been a very scary and painful experience in a foreign country, not to mention spoiling my holidays, turned out to be a positive experience thanks to the staff at the Edgar Building Dental Clinic. Fantastic experience: Dr Frederico Ferreira recently replaced a failed/flawed root canal filling for me. This is was a complex and highly specialist procedure which was completed with immense expertise and care. The level of professionalism, skill and communication I experienced was simply excellent. Before I visited Dr Ferreira I was prepared for the fact that I might need to lose the tooth but he was brilliant and I am extremely pleased with the result.

Fantastic experience: I started coming to Edgar Buildings Dental Practice over a year ago when I was experiencing a dental crisis and was panicking. I had lost confidence and was terrified. I have been intending to write a five star review ever since my very first appointment with Sally Davies, but have found it so difficult to adequately express my praise for them and so have kept procrastinating! Since then I have had many appointments with Sally and other members of the team, and several with Liliana, to whom I was referred for a surgical extraction of a molar with a difficult root and then for an implant replacement which will soon be completed, with a crown by Sally. I cannot speak highly enough of this practice. I went to them in fear and pain, and was treated from the outset with kindness, courtesy, patience and the utmost professionalism. Sally explained very clearly what my options were (with a back molar that was in pain with an absess under it.) She was reassuring and gave me plenty of time to decide on extraction or root canal treatment. I opted for an extraction, and she did it brilliantly, with almost no discomfort! I am delighted and reassured to have Sally as my dentist and it is always a pleasure to visit her! Later on another molar cracked vertically and could not be saved. It had unusual roots and so I was referred to Liliana for a surgical extraction, to be followed with an implant, both her specialities. Liliana is amazing. She is also charming, kind and patient, and she quickly put me at my ease and instilled my confidence in her. On each and every occasion that I have seen her, she has carried out her incredible work so cleverly that I have scarcely felt anything at any stage. Recovery from each of the surgical procedures involved has also been quick and easy. Liliana is incredibly skilled and dedicated and a delightful person. The hygienists I have seen are also great. The whole experience of going to this practice is positive. The receptionists and nurses are all lovely, polite, kind and helpful. The practice is clean and bright, and the location is great. I love that I can browse the shops in and around Milsom Street right up to the appointment time and then continue afterwards, distracting me either side from the focus of dentistry! I want to thank all the brilliant people who have helped and treated me at this practice. I'm so glad I chose them and I wholeheartedly recommend them. I no longer fear and dread having dental treatment. THANK YOU .

Negative experience: Not happy. I know have problems with a tooth directly resulting from your treatment. I spent thousands of pounds for the treatment and I’m now asked to spend even more to identify what the problem is because your unable to diagnosis it without asking me to initially spend another £140 plus loads more if it requires further treatment. Surely your practice needs to take responsibility for work done by your individual dentists, take some ownership of a problem you created. I’m total underwhelmed and unimpressed

Negative experience: I was so looking forward to coming here and finally getting my implants. I paid £40, weeks ago, and was referred by my own dentist. On visiting Monday I was immediately asked what treatment I was on for my Crohns disease and told I cant have implants because I'm on biologics. The rest of the appointment was an x-ray to reaffirm that due to multiple reasons (bones and previous medication used) I couldn't have implants. I then paid the remaining £115. I feel that if weeks ago the dentist knew from my referral (and my phone call) that I was on biologics, I could've saved myself £155 a trip to Bath and all the upset. I get they couldn't just send me home after 2 mins in the chair but i feel the rest of the appointment was just repetitive to justify charging me all that money. Disappointing isn't a strong enough word!

Everybody at the practice is very professional and friendly, and the space itself in a beautiful historic building feels very welcoming. As an extremely nervous dental patient, root canal was really daunting but meeting Fred beforehand put me right at ease. During the (very long) procedure he was very caring and understanding, frequently asking if I was ok and offering a break if needed. Would recommend Edgar Buildings for any nervous patients.

Fantastic experience: I had to update my review as I saw the Hygienist Jacquie since my last appointment with dentist beginning of May. I had my first appointment with Dr Gurvinder Sokhi, I have to say I was very impressed. He didn’t rush the examination, was very thorough, explained everything to me and discussed future plans on how to keep on top of some of the dental issues I have. Also unlike a lot of dentists, he didn’t push any treatment on me. I honestly felt I’m in very safe hands and am confident that at last found an excellent dentist who’s more interested in his patient’s wellbeing than just to make money. Week later I saw dental hygienist Jacqui, she was absolutely amazing, best hygienist by far compared to many hygienist I’ve seen in past at different practices. I cannot recommend her enough. I couldn’t stop smiling. So far my experience with this practice has been great

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Edgar Buildings enough and am so incredibly pleased with my Dental Implant. Philip and the team have been fantastic every step of the way, especially given I've had a lot of trouble with my teeth. Throughout they have been nothing but caring and clear, managed my expectations at each stage and always going above and beyond for example offering me a spare denture when I had my bridge as I commuted a lot so I had a back up if something did ever happen. The final result is amazing, you wouldn't be able to tell its an Implant and even my gum looks great. Thanks again!

Positive experience: I registered as a new patient, and got the appointment on the same week. This implied that getting any necessary treatment would be fairly quick as well. However, after having my checkup, it turned out that the first available appointments to actually get any treatment done are 6 weeks from now. This includes appointments to replace a temporary filling I got during an emergency appointment at the clinic. The lead time for a dentist to just review a referral and recommend further course of treatment after the emergency appt is longer than a week. I feel like reception should disclose the situation to new patients before booking them in. That said, the dentist I saw was very thorough, friendly and professional, and if it wasn't for the long waiting times, I would have been happy to stay with the practice.

Fantastic experience: I need implants for two large molars. Dr. Pettemerides and staff made this whole procedure an unexpectedly pleasant and positive experience. I was given clear and comprehensive information about the procedures, the initial estimate is adhered to and I am treated with deference and respect. The day before my implants placement the practice informed me that there was a problem with my CT scan file. However, there was no inconvenience to me whatsoever. On the day of the procedure Dr. Pettemerides himself took a new CT scan without extra cost, it took only couple of minutes, and we were able to proceed as planned. I am actually looking forward to the remaining procedures for my implants, which is nothing short of an achievement on behalf of Dr. Pettemerides and the staff. Thank you all
