Positive experience: I visited this dental clinic for the first time. The team were welcoming and supportive. They had good listening skills and were very thorough when completing their dental examination. The clinic is large and has a peaceful atmosphere. The administration team explained carefully what treatments they offer and assisted me carefully to complete paperwork.

Fantastic experience: Really good experience everytime. Clean place and friendly staff. SungEun Kwak is a great dentist and always makes me feel at ease.

Negative experience: Appointments are often made then postponed for a later date (sometimes only a day after). Customer Toilet still out of service (got to be over a year) with no plans to fix. One stroppy receptionist (no longer works there) said as they do not provide food and drink they do not need to supply W.C. Believe me nervous people need to use the toilet. For a Dentist with the BUPA name would expect better. edited to add - ** impressive over 9 months ago still not received correspondance regarding this ** Edited to add now 5 years later and still no contact

Fantastic experience: Returned last week, seen my Tim and Oli, dental nurse Explained the treatment today, was thorough, no anesthetic, just cleaning, also filling, using some sort of gum, and light laser with eye protection, washed and rinsed my mouth only took around 3o minutes, really pleased with the outcome Receptionist very helpful also when working at the desk, happy go lucky, even singing as well

Negative experience: This is a great place at first been here more them 10 years all of a sudden I can't get appointment. An when you book appointment they cancel it or when you get to the dentist appointment they telling you some rubbish the dentist can't see you because you have not filling a forms or they remove you from the dentist this people who work are very difficult and disgusting behaviour.

Fantastic experience: Dentist Tim Ahmed was professional and very friendly. I didn't feel anything and the procedure was fast. He made sure i was well informed and knew what my options were, and what he would recommend. I had been accidentally sold on an unnecessarily expensive service by a previous dentist and he intervened to get me a better inexpensive alternative. Diligent Hygienist as well but I never got her name.

Fantastic experience: Ronnie is amazing! I would recommend him for people who have alot of anxiety about the dentist. I haven’t been to the dentist in years as I am so terrified. I had been told I need 2 fillings about 6 years ago and finally booked in with Ronnie after meeting him in a check up appointment a few months ago. He was very patient and understanding and put me at ease straight away. I got the two fillings today and it wasn’t painful or bad at all, I couldn’t recommend him more. I would happily go back and get more (never thought I would say this). I’m so grateful as I finally feel I can go back with out immense fear. Thankyou!!

Negative experience: Not satisfied with hygienist at all! I was feeling how she just wanted to do fast the cleaning, the appointment was like for 20 mins, 5 6 minutes maybe we just talking so around 15 min cleaning, I have visit hygienist many times but never feel pain like this! Was feeling how she was pressing the gums, yes I understand maybe my gums isn't much healthy and it's normal to feel a bit discomfort, but every other hygienist which I was visit was taken care of me and carefully doing nice cleaning tooth by tooth, and today I feel so much pain with her, I am sorry to say that but I am not satisfied. When I go home I checked my teeth and inside was not cleaned good I still can see it! She didn't clean my teeths properly cause I can see it there is still tartar on my teeth.

Negative experience: I would give zero stars if I could and this is from someone who doesn't usually leave reviews The dental treatment is ok but the customer service of the reception staff and the lack of information given to new patients is appalling I went for my first appointment two weeks ago and there was some confusion over my insurance - I was asked to wait while they called BUPA - after 30 mins of sitting in the waiting room - they said I had "permission to leave" - once I was back at work I then had 12 calls during my afternoon meetings at 15min intervals - the first one was polite enough saying there was an issue and could I speak to my employer about cover (I emailed HR in between meetings and was awaiting a response) - the other calls were outright rude and were along the lines unless you call us by close of business today and make payment then further action would be taken (they did not state what that action would be) - as I said they left a series of voicemails all getting gradually more aggressive I made payment through the link without waiting for a response from my HR team because I felt so threatened As a new patient I felt uncomfortable coming back yesterday and having to deal with the same person who had left the messages - I spoke to a different receptionist (although the other one was present and still as intimidating) as I needed to rearrange a future appointment and you can't do that online - you can only cancel and then rearrange directly with the practice - due to other commitments (personal and health related) I asked to move the appointment - they asked me why and I said holiday because I didnt want to go into the reasons with a stranger - the receptionist then said I would have to attend the week after I returned or further action would be taken - didnt give an explanation as to why or again what that action would be I had my appointment which was extremely invasive and with my health problems was quite difficult for me This was my first time at a private practice and under my previous NHS dentists payment was made at the end of treatment so as my next appointment for other half of treatment was already booked I left I have since had a call this morning again and it started by saying I had walked out without paying or providing insurance details - I explained the dentist had said was my 2nd appt booked and I said yes and that the cost document I signed was for the full amount - he said I must speak to reception after every visit and again if payment was not made immediately further action would be taken There was no way for me to know unless someone told me that the treatment was payable at the end of each session I would just like to say I have no problem paying and and as a new patient I feel like I am being treated like a criminal when the majority of the issue is a lack of customer service being provided to anyone who hasn't been to the surgery before (or possibly is not willing to sign up for one of their ongoing payment plans) As soon as this treatment is over I will be finding a new private dentist and I will be taking a chaperone with me to any further appointments with this practice

Fantastic experience: Friendly and professional, welcoming, clean and bright dental surgery. Staff on the main desk puts you at some ease immediately as you walk into the surgery, with a warm and polite greeting. Parking spaces are close by and well within community reach.

Negative experience: Three times I had made a dentist appointment and they all started late, the latest was 20 minutes. If I wanted to book a late dentist appointment I would’ve, but I didn’t.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend my dentist, Elliott, highly enough. He's very professional, non-judgemental, supportive, and explains everything so well. My dental nurse, Khadija, is also excellent. They are a great team. The Reception team are also lovely and welcoming. I feel very lucky to be registered here.

Negative experience: I just went for a hygienist appointment and it was a really hard experience. The hygienist was very rough, my gums were sore and it was obvious I was in pain but it felt like they were rushing through. There was no checking on me even though a one point my jaw started to shake. At one point my gums were bleeding, the hygiene passed me a mirror so I could watch them using the floss brushes on me but they didn’t warn me I had a mouth full of blood to look at. It was not trauma informed at all. There felt at best very little care, at worst an annoyance or want to shock me. It was a really unpleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic dentist. Tim made me feel relaxed and comfortable. He explained the process, repaired my tooth and I was on my way. This is the best dentist we have ever used. Well done

Fantastic experience: I cant stress enough how amazing everyone is here, I am disabled and have mental difficulties and Sandra ( my dentist) and all the staff do everything they can to make my visit stress free. Last month I had a very painful abscess and they helped me through it, from calling a taxi to get me to A&E , to checking in regularly to see how i was. They get a 100% from me.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by DR SAungeun Kwan during my 60 year old mother’s recent dental appointments. The experience was distressing. Firstly, Dr Kwan attempted to apply the incorrect dentures twice, which were meant for other patients. This level of carelessness is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the clinics attention to detail and patient safety. Secondly, during another procedure, Dr Kwak removed one of my mother’s teeth. Despite my mother expressing that she was in pain Dr Kwak dismissed her concerns , insisting that the removal usually doesn’t hurt. As a result of this experience my mother has been very upset and has had to change dentists.

Fantastic experience: I only see Dr Timothy Ahmed so I can't comment on the other dentists. Dr Ahmed is such a friendly and helpful guy and a very conscientious dentist. The nurses are really kind and the current rota of receptionists are great (they don't tend to stay long for some reason?). Appointments can be booked online, on the phone and in person but they book up fast, especially the NHS appointments book up months in advance. I would recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I'm always really impressed with the treatment I receive and the friendly staff. I've been able to get appointments promptly when urgent and the reception staff always call to remind of appointments, which is a great service. My dentist is Sandra De-Silva and she's been absolutely fantastic with my treatments over the years. I've had various issues with my teeth in the past and she always offers a caring approach, explaining any options, giving advice and putting me at ease when I'm nervous. I've recently had my two front teeth crowned, which I'm incredibly happy with and has made such a difference. Thanks Sandra and team :)

Negative experience: They took me off their NHS books with absolutely no notifications despite the fact I pay for regular 6 months hygienist appointments and have been a customer for over 7 yrs. Disgraceful.

Negative experience: Had an abscess, really painful and face massively swollen. Was referred here by 111. Walked the 25mins to clinic as not feeling fit to drive, sent away. Clinic is too busy for emergencies, still taking on private patients and kicks NHS off the list. The corruption of our health services for profit.

Negative experience: Rang during or shortly after Covid for a appointment as I was a NHS registered patient there got refused the appointment as my dentist had left the practice but was told they would let me know when a replacement had been assigned to me but I could still go for emergency dental work. Just rang to be told that I’m no longer registered there as I haven’t had an appointment in to long. No communication other than this. But of course if I’m willing to pay private they will of course see me. A joke of a dentist surgery they can’t keep hold of the same dentists for more than 6 months and then blame patients for their clerical errors

Fantastic experience: I've just finished a two stage root canal with dentist Timothy Ahmed and dental nurse Oli. I am so grateful to them. I've been seeing them for a few years so already knew how kind and gentle they are, but this is the first major treatment I've needed. I had deeply traumatic dental experiences as a child that left me terrified, compounded by some bad luck in the intervening years. I didn't think it was possible to sit through an appointment without fighting a panic attack throughout. These two are so careful, professional and considerate that against all odds I feel safe.They work harmoniously and efficiently. Dr Ahmed calmly explains everything he is doing so there are no surprises and regularly checks I'm okay. Oli reminds me to slow down my breathing while wielding the vacuum so deftly I barely notice. It's difficult to explain what a difference finding them has made, or how much I appreciate them staying with the NHS. If they leave I guess I'll just have to move to wherever they go.

Fantastic experience: Unbelievably good service today, I had a large filling fall out from an awkward part of my toof at about 9am which caused me discomfort, I called the surgery and got an emergency appointment the same morning and was home with a fully repaired toof by 11.30am. Exceptional service and dentistry from Dr Vazquez despite the challenges caused by the pandemic!

Fantastic experience: I joined as a patient here with a lot of work needing to be done and a lot of anxiety about having dental treatment. My dentist (Timothy Ahmed) and the nurses have been so incredibly patient and helpful as well as doing a really top drawer job on my teeth. Just breezed through a root canal on my front tooth. Negative experience: Had a horrendous experience several years ago with a filling. It was my first one so did not know any better when I was injected and work began straight away. Essentially, not enough local anaesthetic was administered which led to me having the procedure done with full feeling. About an hour after finishing the anaesthetic kicked in. I went on to have a second filling done by another dentist, which admittedly went better and even he was less than complimentary of his colleague. However, as I am now in a position to afford the option for private treatment at a reputable dentist, I have now seen and been talked through a full set of X-Rays. To say the work I've had done is poor would be an understatement. I've spent today having some of the mess corrected after a long period of pain. Cowboys. Avoid like the plague.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting treatment from this practice. I booked my son in for a orthodontic refferal in June 2020. They did not book this referral until January 2021!! I have now lost 7 months on a 2 year waiting list with absolutely no excuse except my appointment did not get booked, no apology, no other contact nothing at all. You cannot blame a pandemic on a basic admistrative error. Totally disgusted by this practice and will be removing my family from these incompetent people, and also seeking legal action as I am now being offered to go as private patient and the treatment will cost approx £1800 when its free on the NHS!! This matter will be taken hire. Everyone thinking of joining this practice, beware you have been warned.

Negative experience: Went there about 15 minutes before appointment with my daughter (6 years old), asked to used the toilet, have been told it’s not toilet available, asked if was a chance to use the staffs toilet, once my daughter was in hurrying to use the toilet . Have been told it’s no allowed because of COVID. The receptionist advised to use the park. Found really rude once we was talked about the kid, and no a adult person, I do completely understand about the COVID we need to be careful, but it’s a kid, and we need to be more sensible about some situations. Ps: dentist was really helpful and polite. Hope they can improve they customers service for future.

Positive experience: Some of the best customer care service their staff provide. Dentist was very careful with the removal of the tooth and offered alternative treatment when completed. Can be quite a difficult situation when one fears going.

Fantastic experience: Have used this practice for the last 4 years. Never had any problems and the staff are always friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff. Recently took my 2 year old to see Sandra for her first check up and she was amazing with her. Made my daughter feel comfortable and was really thorough. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Been very pleasantly surprised today to find a professional and caring dental practice at Bupa in Saint George. We all know it’s not easy finding a good dentist that makes you feel relaxed while healing your teeth. Found a polite receptionist as well on the premises. Doctor Sandra and her lovely assistant were so nice , chatty and professional that all my fear went away along pain as they sorted me out a terrible tooth pain. I strongly recommend and as well thank them for their approach and abilities.
