Fantastic experience: I don't normally leave reviews but service us so good i had too. Great receptionist facilities and dentists. Today was extra special , lost a filling last night. Called at 3.30 pm was on the chair at 4 walking out at 4.25 . Never felt a thing too

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for quite some time now and Olivia is an exceptional dentist. She is always highly professional, thorough, and genuinely makes you feel at ease, which makes a huge difference, as visiting the dentist isn't always the most positive of experiences. She is careful in her work, never rushing or being heavy-handed, and I always leave feeling confident that everything has been done properly. Olivia consistently gets to the root of any dental issues I’ve had and takes the time to explain things clearly. She has also recommended whitening products that have delivered excellent results. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of receiving dental care from Dr. Olivia, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! As someone who tends tobe an extremely nervous patient, I often dread dental visits. However, Dr. Olivia put me at ease from the moment I walked into the practice. She took the time to explain the procedure for the removal of my back tooth in a friendly and professional manner, which immediately calmed my nerves. Throughout the entire process, she continued to chat with me, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. To my surprise, the procedure was over before I knew it! Dr. Olivia’s skill and gentle approach made the experience completely distress-free. I truly appreciate her care and expertise, and I am grateful for the exceptional service I received. Fantastic experience: I was treated very nice and kindly by Lauren and Norma when I phoned. I was given an appointment the next working day. The Dentist Ilia that looked after me was very nice and kind to me as well. He introduced me to the Dental Nurse Jasmine who was also very nice to me. Ilia gave me a filling and I did not feel a thing. He was exceptional. I have been coming to this Dental Practice all my life and have been treated very well.

Negative experience: Been with the practice since 2020 and never had an issue with my previous dentist. The new dentist is not accurate, nor careful enough to sort out issues they caused by their own work. When you are not happy with their work and ask to be moved to see a different dentist you were being told straight away NO. Even when you ask to be moved as a private patient. One of the receptionist even slipped saying somebody asked the same question last week which makes me think it is now a common issue at this practice- people just want to avoid this particular dentist for her poor work. Receptionsts quite unhelpful by saying they are new. Being told mamager cannot ring me back due to being busy. Zero customer service skills. When faced with both me and my husband not being happy as we have more issues now that needs to be sorted we were simply told to leave the practice if unhappy. This is the single best advice I've recieved from this person so far and we are happy to follow through.

Negative experience: My wife and Icalled in yesterday to get her a form for joining as a private client..the man on the desk needs to learn some people skills soon as wee asked for the form he barked wee don't take .NHS .Nd gave us a dirty look .wee the quickly informed him my wife was going private..I've been a client hear for a couple ov years and never had any problems with the rest ov staff who do a wonderful job but this guy shouldn't be dealing with clients atoll

Negative experience: First communication from the dentist was. Do you pay? Ongoing discussion dentist with the assistant about other patients and what they paid. Bleeding gums from a clean . Had to request water to rinse and tissue to wipe mouth. Do the NHS not pay for work done?

Negative experience: Just been to another dentist and have been told that two fillings I'd had done here there was gaps in the fillings not great paying for a service that's not completely correctly. Also paid for treatment upfront only and charged on each occasion for treatment when I'd asked there desk staff about it they said there was no payment made. My bank statement says otherwise. Never had a great experience here being passed from one dentist to another. The staff and the front desk are extremely unfriendly and rude.

Fantastic experience: Well after a visit on Tuesday to a dentist I believe is called Keith. So needed a tooth removed and both Keith and the dental nurse were exceptional at making relax during the procedure. Thank you kindly. 19/01/2021 After being with this dentist's for almost 30 years problem & complaints free with helpful pleaseant Dentist's & Staff. But sadly now that Bupa Dental care have taken over I have had a bad experience from member of staff who clearly does not care for patients but care more about making sure the notices hanging on walls are clean & tidy as she leave a patient sitting while she tidys the place. Patients should always come first.

Fantastic experience: I have attended this surgery for now on 50 odd years and the service - is fantastic! When I experience pain or discomfort, I generally contact Norma, who is always aware of who I am, what my dental history is and always finds me an urgent appointment, related to the level of care that I need. She makes sure to keep her patient's dental history updated when you are leaving by asking how your treatment went, if it has resolved your pain and although she won't admit it, shows her caring nature in her 'after care service', proving she's not just performing 'a role' If I got frequent flyers for dental work, I could travel the world almost free!! Whilst I have been seen by most of the Dental practitioners at this surgery, during their tenure, I am confident to recommend Stuart as my most experienced and empathetic Dental Practitioner! He is always conscious of the patients care, meticulous in his work and always prepared to base his recommendations on what will suit the patient best, whether going private or availing of the NHS Service. This Dental Surgery has always excelled in choosing the best staff, both in Clerical and Clinical alike. Like all medical / health surgeries, I have experienced difficulty on an odd occasion in 'getting in touch' - that's a fact of life that some( especially people leaving reviews) need to appreciate - these peoples have lives outside of the Surgery, so a 'Zero' rating, for the odd hiccup isn't warranted in my view!! I have no affiliation to the Staff or the Surgery - I'm simply a patient so I can say honestly - This is a Dental Surgery with a modern caring attitude and staff, both Clerical and Practitioners who work hard for their patients and offer a sterling dental service - to all!

Fantastic experience: Lindsay is an excellent dentist, I didn't flinch once during my checkup and clean, but I have to say that the young dental nurse Jemimah is probably one of the best nurses I have ever met. Kind caring and considerate, she really put me at ease. The process of booking my next appointment with the lovely ladies on reception was also a breeze so I can plan ahead for my next visit. I would highly recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: My grandmother Margret Moore had not been to the dentist in over 20 years and was feeling very anxious about going to the dentist. Maebh Lavery made her feel very relaxed and reassured and she now has been attending regularly over the last year getting work done with confidence and is very pleased with the results from her teeth. She now feels much more comfortable with her smile. Thank you for all your hard work.

Fantastic experience: I have had Keith as my dentist for close to two years now and am very happy with the care I've received. He makes sure to involve me in any decisions about treatment, explaining options and what they mean. He is never pushy or condescending. The work he has done looks great and has held up well. He is very caring during treatment, making sure to often ask how I am doing which is appreciated as I have had bad experiences with other dentists in the past. My most recent appointment was a tricky one but he did a great job and took the time to ensure everything was taken care of. Can not find any fault and will continue to go to him and Bupa for my dental needs.

Negative experience: Disingenuous staff, long waiting times and plenty of incompetent junior dentists which i had malpractice affecting my bite, went back and forth over the course of two months paying a fortune for trial and error treatment nonsense for relief on a worn down tooth, and when I went to the dentist in dalriada for root canal in which case they took the pain away, Bupa refused to finish the second part and stopped seeing me altogether, awful practice with ignornant receptionists

Fantastic experience: I had been in a lot of pain for a number of days and I had managed to get an emergency appointment with Keith. I always get anxiety about going to the dentist and I ended up having to get a Root Canal done which I knew wouldn’t be pleasant. I was put at ease and reassured every step of the process by Keith and Carla and I can’t thank them enough. Later on in the day Keith called me to check in to see how I was. The service I have received has been amazing and I will be keeping up to date with my check ups. Thank you!

Negative experience: Receptionist was incredibly rude and caused a scene. The manager of the receptionist demonstrated unacceptable behaviour in both her mannerisms and how she dealt with the issue caused by her staff member. Telling someone that because they work for the health service they should have “more tolerance and patience” isn’t an acceptable statement to make, especially when they have been patiently waiting. I would like to request a copy of your formal complaints procedure as a result. Edit: In response to the below, this is not a perception. This is fact. Please send your staff on customer service training. I look forward to receiving the complaints procedure but as you haven’t asked for my address I’d love to know how that will happen.

Fantastic experience: Right from the start I was made to feel at ease Norma the receptionist couldn't do enough for me. Then the person that scared me most was my Dentist which was a lovely young petit lady called Lucy . She put me at ease straight away and continued to help and explain what the options were and helped me choose the best way forward for me. All the while the dental assistant was calmly going about her work and never leering over the top of me, which had happened before at another Dentist.Within no time my treatment was over, then back out to Norma who got me sorted out with my follow up appointments. I can't believe I'm saying it but I can't wait to get back and get sorted out. Thank you's all so much.

From the warm and welcoming reception and waiting area, alongside the amazing reception staff really put you at ease. They go over and beyond to help in anyway they can. She has gone above and beyond by even going to the trouble of ringing other patients to move their appointment times so my son could get booked in for his root canal. Fantastic experience: Thank you so much! I've only recently moved back to Newtownabbey from living abroad for 11 years and have been waiting to be registered back at this surgery. As luck would have it before I could even get registered I had an infection in my wisdom tooth! I feared the worst about getting an appointment anywhere. Thanks to Maxine & Norma in reception, They squeezed me in within an hour of calling and my tooth was out before it could get any worse. 3 days later I'm still in pain but nothing like it could have been if it wasn't for their help :)

Fantastic experience: This has been my local dentist for many years now. Stuart has been my dentist, always very friendly, very informative and generally absolutely fabulous at his job. Norma, Rebecca and all reception staff have been totally amazing at getting me appointments when required. A perfect example of this is when I called in last Monday with some pain. They really went out of their way to get me seen by Stuart the following morning to get temporary filings. All in all completely friendly, helpful and professional Dentists and I would glady recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I attended here on the 14th October with am emergency I had fractured a tooth well didn't know that till I was there. I rang and spike with Keith and explained my situation and asked me to come straight down . On arrival temperature was taken and asked questions on covid19 which I thought was brillant. Then was called to room where I met Keith and I'm sorry but can't remember the girls name but she was so very friendly. I told Keith I was a very nervous patient, he was certainly very patient and end explained what he was doing and what outcomes could happen with the tooth unfortunately it couldn't be saved and had to have it removed but Keith explanation everything as he went and I really didn't find it too difficult for the first time in forever I was completely comfortable on a dentist chair and thats thanks to Keith and his assistant which I'm sorry I can't remember name. Then came to payment was totally shocked at how reasonable it was so have asked to be put on the waiting list to be able to go and get teeth sorted after years. Thanks to all the staff very friendly hope to see you all again soon for a routine appointment not for am emergency. Mairead

Fantastic experience: Like others who've left reviews I'm definitely a Veteran, having been a client of this practice for around 30 years. Norma and all the staff are friendly and helpful, a pleasure to deal with. As a wheelchair user I'm especially pleased with the recent works that were undertaken to install a well designed ramp to facilitate easy access not only for wheelchair users, also but parents who may have prams - it's a very positive upgrade. Accessible toilet facilities have also been improved. It's great that Norma has been keen to hear any suggestions to further improve access that I may have. The provision of Wi-Fi internet access for use while waiting is a great recent addition also. My dentist is now Lauren, who is excellent, both her and Jenny who assists her are both professional and friendly. I'm very happy to recommend this Practice.

Professional , efficient and knowledgeable , whether in person or on the phone with a friendly and approachable personality which is so important in a client facing busy and challenging role. Negative experience: I would give this place zero stars if I could. Rang up to register as a new patient. Very reluctant to let me register and as I was in pain I asked when I might get an app as I see they say they have emergency apps. Was told it would be weeks. She basically came across as those she didn't want a new patient.. Nasty and rude and to top it all theor glengornely branch can't even be bothered to answer the phone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
