Fantastic experience: Had an untimely loss of a crown, contact was made to surgery as soon as it opened and within 40 minutes I was being treated. Problem was addressed with a swift repair. Excellent service from first point of contact to the treatment received. Well done to the reception staff and extreme thanks to Garath and Cat for the excellent treatment. I've had several dentists in the past but the service I constantly get from St Martins has to be the best.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I cannot recommend St Martins for orthodontic work. We returned to the UK from overseas where my daughter had received 18 months of superb orthodontic treatment. She had around 6 months of work needed to fully align her teeth. A few months before we returned I sent in my daughter’s dental report as Mark had agreed to complete the work needed. On our first appointment Mark suggested we simply remove the braces, which I refused as there was still improvement to be made. He agreed that the teeth could be improved further and quoted us £1000 for the remaining work, which we agreed to on the basis that we expected around 6 months treatment for perfect alignment. Mark didn't seem interested in her dental report and instead enquired about the cost of my daughter’s braces in the UAE and whether or not it would be worth it for him to practice in Dubai. Each subsequent appointment Mark wanted to remove the braces and it felt like an ongoing battle to get him to continue. It genuinely seemed like he was bored with doing the final tweaks needed. At approximately the 3rd visit he informed my husband that no more improvement could be made and that he would remove the braces on the next visit. I subsequently emailed the practice to politely ask that the £1000 quote which we had paid in full, be reviewed. A receptionist replied and said that she'd ask Mark to get back to me. After a couple of weeks of no response I called to follow up. Later that day Mark begrudgingly called me. His attitude from the start of the call was defensive. He said that 'he always had problems with patients who were transferred to him mid treatment because they were usually unhappy with things and moaned about the price of treatment.' I explained that I was simply asking him to review the cost on the basis that he would not be completing the treatment plan we had agreed upon. Mark said "you've raised the price a few times now, so I think it'll be better if you go somewhere else" (because apparently he only did general dentistry and a bit of orthodontics on the side). I reminded him that I had emailed only once and followed up once as there had been no response and that I had not mentioned the price multiple times OR criticised his work at any time! On a positive, the practice refunded us in full and Mark gave us details of a wonderful clinic in Malvern, where the dentist is more than happy to fully align my daughter’s teeth. So in a nutshell, trying to complete my daughter’s orthodontic treatment at St Martins has been unnecessarily stressful and we have subsequently been directed to a more 'specialist' clinic elsewhere.

Negative experience: Just went for emergency but cost more than what I thought and had just small checkup and refer me back to my Gp but cost me more than I expected

Negative experience: Clearly I had a very rare bad experience with the treatment received at St Martin's having chosen it because of it's excellent reputation. 3 years on I continue to suffer the consequences of the dentist ( now retired) having a bad day. My initial complaint was received dismissively and I was assured that my pain would improve. It turns out that jaw dislocation and bone shattering during extraction has long term implications. What should have been a simple procedure was deeply traumatic and impacted on my ability to open my mouth to eat or complete implant surgery in the expected timescale. TMJ dysfunction and facial asymmetry were not the outcomes I was hoping for. I have yet to receive any sort of acknowledgement or genuine apology for the unprofessional treatment I received. Trust in this clinic came at significant cost, both personal and financial.

Your complaint was closed due to lack of response and has since now been reopened and is ongoing. The clinician has left the practice that treated you but is still going to be providing a 2nd response. Positive experience: The quiz was fine save I am not competent to say whether the treatment was expert etc. One does have to wait a long time for a routine appointment on the other hand there must be capacity for emergencies.

Fantastic experience: Great calming reception by everyone, With treatment for just over an hour so easily managed, without any nervousness at all, simply by the kindness and attitude of the persons performing the treatment, treatment that didn’t seem easy at all, then performing extra treatment, preventing what could have caused problems at a later date. I only wish this kindness and attitudes were around when we were young, preventing all the worries of going to a dentist. Dentists of old I am 100% sure is the cause of peoples fear of the dentist! Gratefully the fear is not my wife’s or mine anymore because of this dental practice and it’s staff. When you look forward with no nerves or worries to the dentist, you know this dental practice has got it right. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I was met with a warm professional welcome, oh my questions were answered with confidence. I was unable to pay with a card and arrangements were made for me to pay via cash. [This is due to my monastic lifestyle and having money Transferred into my account] David at the dentist was very reassuring explained every procedure before carrying it out I felt very ease and very confident with David’s approach and his bedside manner was superb.

Fantastic experience: I went in with a recurring wisdom tooth infection, I was slotted in at short notice which I was incredibly grateful for and the Dentist (David) was on time and ready for me, he gave me 2 options but recommended that we go for extraction, I was hesitant but he set my mind at ease quickly and we went for that option. The extraction was tricky and took longer than expected but David was calm, reassuring and professional throughout, nothing was too much trouble, I couldn’t have wished for a more calm extraction. Considering how long it took the price charged was also very reasonable and the aftercare has been great too.

Fantastic experience: The staff are always friendly and efficient. In particular our Dentist Mrs Jones and Hygienist Mrs. Glinos not only provide first class treatment but their advice has been very important to help us maintain our standard of dental care. We have been with this practice since it was founded by Mr. Bob Binnersley who specialised in children’s dentistry as well as adults .He was an outstanding dentist who has recently retired but his successors maintain the best standards of care using the latest dental equipment. My wife Betty also agrees with the above assessment

Receptionist Tom was professional and friendly, Mr Gareth Jones, the dentist, made me feel as if he had known me for years and was extremely gentle.
