Fantastic experience: The professionalism of Mr Rowe the technicians and reception staff was 2nd to none, I was very anxious before going in and was made welcome and put at ease throughout my time there, the quality of service and the work done was brilliant, I still don’t look forward to going to the dentist and never will, but feel I can go to the practice again without the anxiety, which is huge for me.

Fantastic experience: I had to make an emergency appointment today after being awake all night with horrendous Toothache. The receptionist was very good and I was fitted in at 12.30pm On arrival I was not in a good way but the receptionists were very friendly and quick to get me checked in. Jeremy Rowe was amazing. The patience he had made me feel so safe and listened to what I said about the pain I was feeling. I had an abcess which I hope I never experience again. I cannot Thank you enough Jeremy Rowe and team. My family and I have been with you for 30 years and once again the care and treatment you give is amazing.

Fantastic experience: Just had a filling done by Jeremy Rowe on my front tooth which had a chip. He did an amazing job and it looks like new now. I didn't need any injections and it didn't hurt. I would thoroughly recommend him especially as it was done on my front teeth.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending for some years and find the staff to be generally friendly and helpful, the premises to be clean and there is a very professional atmosphere. Nicola is a superb dentist and my family have been treated by her for a very long time. The only problem I encounter is the large number of stairs it is required to climb to reach the reception.

Positive experience: Excellent dentist and hygienist visit. Reception is not inviting nor were the receptionist's.

Fantastic experience: My husband was referred to Professor Pritchard for root canal treatment by our lovely dentist Nicola and he had the procedure last week. The treatment and care he received throughout the initial consultation and subsequent appointment with the professor was excellent and he has had no notable pain which is remarkable given that this is quite a daunting procedure. We are both patients at this practice and cannot fault them in any respect

Negative experience: My husband had to go and have a tooth extraction. The website says from £175. He was in there less than 10 minutes all straight forward but was charged £209 . Queried this but was still charged £209. Should have pulled it out ourselves

Positive experience: Having developed a problem with my newly fitted dental plate, Quay dental were very good at fitting me in at short notice for a successful adjustment.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my usual Dentist, Mrs. Sarah Tucker at the Pure Dental Centre in Roundswell, Barnstaple, to Professor Prichard at the Quay dental practice in March, for root canal treatment. I am very happy with the care that I received from the Professor, on July 15th, and, based on my own experience, would recommend him to others needing similar treatment. Five days after my appointment, I have had no pain whatsoever in the tooth, and needed no analgesics at all, which is remarkable, and for which, I am extremely grateful.

I did need an ex ray which did worry me as I tend to gag! not any ones fault just me !. They had a novel way of taking my mind off it which seemed to work well . Fantastic experience: Barry is really helpful in trying for me to keep as many teeth as possible. No easy task. Reception is super friendly and I have never failed to get an emergency slot when needed.

Positive experience: Everything you'd expect: receptionists, dental nurse and dentist all good, helpful and knowledgeable. Complete trust in Mr J Rowe. Had to wait 10 minutes, but that was no problem.

Fantastic experience: /A very friendly and professional dental practice. I have been a patient here since 2013 and have been delighted by the quality of excellent treatment from Nicola, a superb dentist, Sharon, an excellent hygienist and all the ancillary staff who are always extremely helpful. Highly recommended. Very convenient location with bus stops and car parking close by. Only downside is that reception and rooms are upstairs so not suitable for those unable to climb stairs.

I can honestly say Professor Pritchard was very professional, friendly and explained all the procedure to me. After the work was done and the anaesthetic wore off I felt little or no pain at all which I am grateful for. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Quay Dental Practice as I had an infection in my gum that required root canal treatment by a specialist. I was welcomed at reception on 19-02-2025 with very cheery and helpful staff and I was passed through to Professor James Prichard, a "Happy Chappy" who was cheery and most helpful, who x-rayed, diagnosed the problem and treated the infection. I had another appointment booked by the cheery receptionist as a check up to see that the tooth had settled down on 4-06-2025 and received another x-ray to check that the infection had cleared. I was shown the x-rays before, during and after treatment by James which was very helpful and re-assuring. I would have no hesitation to use the practice again and I would recommend it to others who may be afraid of the dentist.

Had my first appointment with Nicola yesterday, very happy to be now with her, and feeling confident about the extensive course of treatment I shall shortly be embarking on. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Attended my hygienist's appointment today - teeth feel lovely after the professional treatment they have received - which never changes. I’ve attended this practice since I was a little girl, apart from the years I was in London - as soon as I returned - I went back to the practice. Have now been attending for the past 33 years. Always professional, friendly and obliging. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Not been to a dentist for 10 years. Treatment etc. very good. My filling carried out without injection so yes I appreciate the skill of the dentist. Treatment is first rate Especially in my case where I hate going to dentist. Nicola you're an angel. Now been going for a number of years and dentist and hygienist great, as are the admin staff. Positive experience: It is always a good experience visiting Quay dental practice. Greeted by several receptionists on the way in who were cheery & professional. Peaceful & calm waiting room before appointment. Greeted by new hygenist Jessica Hockridge, who came out to introduce herself. Very friendly & reassuring on my walk to the treatment room. She and the assistant were supportive and advised on choices/opinions for good practise. On my way out, the receptionist who took my payment was distracted & I felt rude & abrupt. This isn't the first time as it was the same on the last visit. Shame as this was the last experience as I left the dentist.

They tried hard to get back to me when I left a message, booked me in for a same day appointment, got me in 15 ins early and got me out (minus a tooth) within 20 minutes with kindness, care and compassion.

Fantastic experience: This is a great practice and my dentist is very thorough and I trust him implicitly. However my concern is that when a dentist leaves they just strike you off their books as has happened with two of my adult children. They were re assigned to a new NHS dentist though when a new one was taken on but that was only for about a year maybe. The South West needs to massively improve on availability for NHS patients….and not just for the basic dental care as I’m hearing is going on at some practices!!
