Fantastic experience: Amazing experience at Carriage Works Dental, I had an emergency appointment with Jennifer who was so kind and gentle, unfortunately I needed a wisdom tooth removing and it was my very first tooth extraction, Jennifer put me at ease straight away and she was so gentle I didn't feel a thing! 5* service!

Fantastic experience: From the moment you enter the Carriage Works Dental Practise you receive a friendly & courteous welcome from All the Reception personnel. Check in is quick. The Waiting area has a numerous selection of seating, is open and airy, although if a very minor negative, the Air Conditioning can be set too cool!. The Dentist & Dental Nurses are also very courteous, giving/receiving a timely friendly chat. The Rooms are bright & look spotlessly clean. When & whilst Dental procedure begins, the Dentist informed me what he was doing. On finishing he gave advice on future care and treatment. This is deserving of 5 star treatment/experience all round. Fantastic experience: I went to see Eloise Craig, the dental hygienist, she is lovely and approachable, and made me feel at ease, she explained everything she was doing. She gives me tips to better dental hygiene, and it is a very personal service. I didn’t think having my teeth cleaned really mattered to how white they look, but my teeth are so much brighter, shinier and whiter, and I’m delighted how they have improved with Eloise’s care and attention.

Positive experience: Visiting the dentist is something I dread. I am 72 and this all stems from a bad experience as a child. Recently a molar became incredibly sensitive. I kept it a secret hoping it would cure itself. Long story short yesterday afternoon it was extracted by Khalid. I can only admire his skill sensitivity and physical strength and dedication. I am recovering nicely.

As I require Restorative works to be carried out, everything has been explained to me in detail, and at long last I feel I have a positive outcome to look forward to! All the works are now completed, yay and I feel so much more confident and happier. I cannot praise Gov and his team enough for their patience, understanding and their continuous belief and pride in their work! It’s actually been a pleasure to go to the dentist !

Fantastic experience: I travel for 45 minutes each way to attend this dental practice. I have the opportunity to choose one closer to my location, however, I choose not to. The practice is set in the prettiest town and they are always polite, professional and take their time with any concerns. I am nervous after a previous dental practice fractured a tooth whilst extracting a wisdom tooth. I have no concerns here. They are open and transparent about costs and are accommodating with my appointments which need to fit round my complex shift patterns.

Fantastic experience: A visit to this practice was a really good experience, after being on the nhs dental list for almost 9 years, Sarah was very very good gave me a thorough examination and some good tips on how to care for my teeth.

Fantastic experience: An absolutely outstanding dental practice. I had the pleasure of having the best dentist that I have ever seen. I can not praise the dentist enough, he puts you at ease and is very gentle and understanding. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Negative experience: I have lhad 2 root canals done both fail the same reason for each one not being any good a micro crack that didn't show up both times i called right after the treatmentand was told it would settle down and the 2nd time i was very upset all they did was go never back after all the money spent and all the trust i give them. My mother had an implant fitted and she was unhappy we find out after getting a 2nd option its not been fited correctly and it now in the process of being redone all in all bad experiences for both of us and alot money wasted and I have more teeth missing then when I started.

Fantastic experience: Appointment for a crown preparation. 1 hour 20 mins in the chair, made to feel very comfortable and process explained throughout. Seems expensive, but when you work out the total number of hours for two people, the hourly rate is no more expensive than having a workman visiting your home.

Positive experience: I was in the dentist chair for 4.5 minutes. I was not checked for mouth cancer like I used to be in my NHS checks. I asked the dentist if he could smooth a sharp edge of tooth. About 10 seconds work and was charged £13 . I have been with Finley's practice since the old building near the rail station and I am upset that I am no longer a NHS patient. I cannot afford the treatment prices.

Positive experience: Overall the experience was positive, the personnel & environment couldn’t be faulted. My concern is that prior to being transferred to your revised private system, at every examination myself & my husband had very thorough soft tissue examination, this has not occurred at our check ups since. I feel that this is of importance in detecting possible problems such as malignancies & I would be grateful for a response from the practice if this has been discontinued or an oversight. Fantastic experience: I wanted implants on both side of my mouth, but due to my lack of dental care decades ago there was no bone or gum to support implants. Fin (Finley, my dentist), accepted the challenge and created a treatment plan to augment (yeah, I didn't know what the word meant) the missing gum and bone tissue to enable implant surgery. After nearly 18 months of complex treatment, I now have a full mouth of teeth and nobody can tell which are my original teeth and the new teeth. Fabulous work, thanks Fin and to your supporting team.

Fantastic experience: Really excellent dentist and facilities. Rigid on combating Covid which was very sensible. My only slight gripe is the lack of parking facilities which is OK in the Summer months but not so good if raining and cold. Overall very happy to be a patient there, as is my wife, and I was treated very fairly cost wise. An update on 7th May, 2022 Had to book an emergency appointment this week as I had toothache. Found I needed root canal surgery and the procedure was started very, very efficiently and with great care. I could not have asked for more, so many grateful thanks to all those concerned. Update November 28th,2022 Saw Mr Dai Jones whose approach in my view is faultless. Yes, I have several problems and Dai talked me through calmly and rationally on the options available. His advice is invaluable and I would not dream of going against it. A very kind man and dentist. An update 30th August, 2023 Following the unforeseen retirement of Mr Dai Jones earlier this year, both my wife and I saw Mr Gurvinder Bhirth. We were both very impressed by his very clear analysis of our dental problems, which he calmly and rationally explained what out options were. We feel very confident that he is an excellent dentist who will do his very best to help us. No complaints at all. Update 8th February, 2024 My wife and I both had treatment yesterday with Mr Gurvinder Bhirth, albeit for different conditions. Once again we were very impressed with his professional and caring approach to our problems. Nothing was too much trouble and he explained every step of the way why and what he was treating us for. Cannot speak too highly of him and his staff, so a very big thank you to him. Update 23rd April, 2024 Again my wife and I both had appointments with Gurvinder Bhirth. Mine was a particularly long one but I was treated with great care and compassion with regard to pain control and at all times was asked if I was comfortable etc. We both felt were extremely fortunate to be under Gurvinder's care with great staff assisting him. Update 2nd December,2024 Saw Gurvinder who with his great skill and fastidious attention to detail, helped resolve some outstanding teeth issues. Treatment not yet completed but well on the way, so thank you very much. My wife saw Gurvinder 22 January 2025 , who as usual really addressed the current problems with great care and attention to every detail, so she is extremely grateful.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I each had a hygienist appointment with Oyara. We were both impressed with her and her assistant. They were highly professional and considerate. My teeth haven’t looked or felt so good for decades!

Fantastic experience: Reception and staff were very pleasant and helpful. The general facilities are excellent. My mouth and teeth were examined and X-rays taken. After examination an appointment was arranged for later the same day and my broken filling was repaired. Positive experience: The dentist and the hygeinist l had were very good,l was pleased with my treatments.The practice is very modern and design.Only downside,my last visit to Hygeinist,the nursing staff 5/6 of them were in a room chatting and laughing for approx half an hour,the voices echoing in the building..Myself and another client in the waiting area both agreed that was a bit unproffesional in a private dental practice,where people are paying a lot of money for that service.Finn needs to speak to the staff..

The reason for the 3 * review is because the filling was way more temporary than expected - it fell out 24 hours after having been done... Now I'll have to go back much sooner than planned.
