Fantastic experience: Bala is a fantastic & incredibly patient clinician who offers sound advice, practical guidance & delivers it with care and compassion. Nobody enjoys dental treatment but it’s made manageable by people with such genuine kindness and expertise.

Fantastic experience: I met, for the first time, the lovely Dr Alba, fresh from her BAFTA winning performance on the BBC, and her equally lovely dental assistant, of course, and had a very pleasant check up and chat. Dr Alba was friendly, helpful and professional in equal measure. On this occasion I was treated by Zoe, the hygienist, and once again was truly impressed by her thoughtfulness, her thoroughness and her professionalism and her determination to solve my particular problem. Saw Zoe again today for some deep cleaning under anaesthetic. She was lovely .... with just the right balance of professionalism and kind reassurance. I am always so impressed.

Fantastic experience: Had my first of two Periodental (gum disease ) sessions with Zoe (hygienist) this morning. This involves removing the plaque between the gum and teeth. I was a little worried prior to the session because I didn’t ask what exactly the procedure involved, I need not have worried, the procedure was painless, at one stage I nearly dropped off to sleep. Excellent service from Zoe and her staff.

Fantastic experience: Annette Jones Review When I was advised I needed a route canal, I was petrified to be honest. Not only the work but also the cost involved. Friends Dental Practice have an in house service in the safe hands of Taruna. She definitely put me at ease, talking me through the whole procedure, cost involved and how many appointments it would take and her aftercare. So closing my eyes I felt safe in Taruna and her dental nurse hands. It's fiddly I think but they checked throughout how I was. So on Friday 4th July, after 3 months, I was back for her to check everything was as it should be. She shared my before and after xrays. I didn't realise just how big a procedure it was. Fantastic experience: Dr Sai is the most patient, understanding & kind dentist. We all know going to the dentist isn’t a pleasant experience… but the whole staff is lovely, the space is welcoming and they really put you at ease.

Fantastic experience: Well after struggling for over 5yrs without a dentist due to mine shutting down during lockdown and never opening again.I was shocked to actually get a phone call from Friends Dental Practice after having applied to join online over the weekend. An appointment was made for me 3hrs later to have a checkup. Having always been an NHS patient and the state the country is in,I think it's near impossible to get in anywhere that offers this. In fact I've struggled to even find a private dentist willing to accept me,so to actually get into a dentist even though private I'm absolutely thrilled.Never thought I'd be this excited to visit the dentist! During my visit I was impressed with the very warm welcome from the staff at reception and the actual building is very impressive.Ive never seen such a spacious waiting area. Finally got to meet my dentist and was given 2 Xrays and an appointment 3hrs later to see the hygienist. Unfortunately for me I have to return to have an extraction and 4 fillings. If like me you're desperate to see a dentist give these a call before they become fully booked like so many others have!

Fantastic experience: Just a routine check-up but Dr Sai provided me with lots of advice for the future. Very informative, kind and helpful all round. This is the first time I’ve seen Dr Sai but was most impressed. Next time I will see my usual dentist, Dr Alba who I rate extremely highly also, I’ll look forward to that. Pleased, but I don't think I'll go again, as I was charged extra because I was not registered with this dentist. £40 a lot of difference.

Fantastic experience: In the past, in another practice, I have had a bad experience with a hygienist. But not so on this occasion Mrs Choudary showed great professional competence. The procedure, by nature, is uncomfortable, but Mrs Choudary caused no additional discomfort and I will be happy to receive treatment from her in the future. Dr Karania examined my mouth today. Excellent communication skills. Very thorough and competent examination. Firm enough to examine my mouth, but sufficiently attentive not to cause discomfort. I’ve had 10’s of dentists in my life. Female dentists are always better than males, and Dr Karania is one of the best. I have no reservations about her care. Bala Choudry cleaned my teeth today. As always, an EXCELLENT service. Thank you. 27th Nov 2024 I had a “clean” today. I always feel safe and “cared for”. A great team 25th Feb I was very happy with my visit to Dr Alba today. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4th June 2025 Ms Bala and her assistant gave my teeth a clean today. Five stars. Always kind and caring, skilful and very thorough. Excellent.

Negative experience: I have been going to friends dental practice since 2003. I have luckily been able to get my son there as NHS too. This morning I got an email and text cancelling our next appointments in July, no explanation, nothing. So I rang to speak to the receptionist who explained how the dentist has changed her working NHS days and they can’t get us in until October… I am disgusted. My son needs his teeth checked regularly (he is 4 and when he was 2 had an accident where his front teeth chipped and moved up and got told to always have regular check ups to check these). They really did not care at all, did not see what awful customer service this is either. I understand if they want to change their days but you don’t just cancel appointments and make people wait months. The receptionist said she’d put ‘a note I’m not happy’ and to ring up in an emergency, but this isn’t going to change anything is it, they will not try to find a sooner appointment. It’s hard enough to get in a NHS dentist, when you’ve been at one for over 20 years you’d expect more than this, especially when it’s to do with a child.

Fantastic experience: I had my Invisalign treatment done at this practice and I couldn’t be happier! It may have took a bit longer than expected due to a few stubborn teeth of mine, but the care and time spent getting it right for me, I have really appreciated. My orthodontist Dr Pilar and dental assistant were excellent. Everyone has been so kind and professional throughout my time visiting the practice. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I am going to miss going in every couple of months.

Fantastic experience: I had a suspected tooth ache. I called in the morning and was offered an appointment for the same afternoon. Dr Alba was very thorough and was to eliminate anything wrong with my teeth, although she did say I clench my teeth which may be the issue. She gave me some jaw exercises to help.

Negative experience: I am disappointed by the waiting time. Had to wait 1 hour after my appointment and nobody even bothered to explain why they running late on schedule and how long it will take. (Private patient) Never got to experience the quality of working on me and to be honest don’t want to now.

Negative experience: While my experience with the dentists has been good so far over a couple of visits, the secretarial team is poor, slow to respond and not bothered.

Fantastic experience: Whilst on holiday I had a dental emergency - Friends Dental were able to offer me an appointment that day and Dr Alba was great. She explained clearly what she believed the problem was and I felt very safe in her care. Hopefully I won't need to go again (no offence!), but if I did I would feel very confident in their hands.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient, I got an appointment for an examination, the same day as phoning to enquire. The reception staff are friendly, happy & professional. Filled in a lifestyle/health & contact form using a provided ipad upon arrival whilst waiting in the very nice, relaxing waiting area. Saw the dentist who was running a little late (about 10 minutes), who examined my teeth, gums & soft tissues followed by xrays plus a photo of a potential problem area. Once xrays processed, then the dentist went through all the details of the examination showing the results on a large TV screen, so easy to see giving advice as needed. Both the dentist & assistant were very pleasant. Prices are very competitive with other private practices. Strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a checkup, was offered some advice then a tooth taken out a few days later by a young dentist called Sai. I was worried about having my tooth out but he kept me reassured checking on me all the way through the procedure. It was expertly done and I felt no pain. I can honestly say it was the best experience I have ever had in having a tooth removed. I can't recommend the dentist and his assistant enough. Reception were helpful too.

Fantastic experience: I paid a visit to the hygienist and was pleasantly surprised, that on this occasion no gum bleeding occurred. My teeth felt thoroughly cleaned. Good advice was given about different coloured interdental brushes.

Positive experience: The staff are very nice, as is the newly extended and refurbished premises. Arrived 15 mins early, only to be seen 25 mins after my appointment, which is not very professional. If I had arrived 25 mins late for my appointment, would I still have been seen? There is little wonder that people are going without dental care and pulling their own teeth out. Dental practice needs to be more regulated with prices, when people are struggling to heat their houses, they are not going to be able to afford £65 for a check up and £150 for a filling!

Alba has been wonderful on the three occasions Iv seen her, as have the receptionist staff that have had to calm me down a few times lol. Fantastic experience: I have seen different dentists here but have finally found not only a good dentist Anjali, but a brilliant hygienist Peggy. Between them they have made suggestions about using the correct toothbrush, how to brush correctly etc as I have gum disease. Having just seen Peggy she was pleased with my oral hygiene and felt that my gums were improving, which will result in less teeth needing extraction in the future or hopefully none! Apart from this they are both cheerful and helpful at every visit. Although I will never look forward to visiting the dentist, these ladies and the helpful receptionists make things much more bearable. Today saw Alison the hygienist, as always very kind and easy to talk to, and very thorough. Then saw Dr Juame for a check up. So quietly spoken but genuinely interested, and decided an orthodontist visit may be helpful. This is booked now. He cares very much and puts me at ease. I will never look forward to visiting a dentist but that is because of my past. I'm hoping once my teeth get sorted out I will visit without anxiety. Today I saw the orthodontist who unfortunately could not help me. However she was very friendly, and explained everything to me

I have now taken her to Friends Dental Practice on a couple of occasions to rectify the problems she is experiencing. All the staff are lovely with her especially Dr Alba who is extremely patient with her difficulties. I cannot fault the service she has received.

The staff are ALWAYS very friendly and helpful and our family dentist “Jaume” is an ab-fab dentist. Also I would like to mention that my hygienist Dr. Allison is also amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Between them both they have completely transformed my teeth and gum health issues already in 4 months, now I have gained full trust in them both Dr's, so much so, that now i have absolutely no worries/anxiety about any appointments or reasons why i am going to be sat back in their chairs.. Fantastic experience: My son is autistic and has sensory issues with his mouth and teeth, and also finds appointments of any kind a real struggle. But since he has had Alba as his dentist he attends with no issues, which is massive! She is amazing with him and non judgemental, she understands his struggles and that they affect his dental hygiene and helps us find ways to do the best we can. Highly recommend her and hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

Fantastic experience: The Receptionist was polite, attentive and efficient when she booked us in and also when took our payment and made our 6 monthly booking. Becky, the Hygienist, and Megan her Assistant, were carrying, efficient and attentive when treating us. Never has our teeth been treated with this special fluoride treatment of the teeth. Suggestions for the treatment of the lack of saliva my husband experiences and names of What to use was given to share with our Pharmacist. Negative experience: £120 for a hygienist appointment!! I had been going here for a few years. and they over charged me £145 total!! And wanted me to get an unnecessary x-ray to check my bone density, I had one two years ago and have no issues. Tempted to raise a complaint with the GDC

Saw Alison the Hygenist and her colleague, both very friendly whilst totally professional they take the stress out of any visit snd offer sound advice. I then saw a new (for me) dentist Dr Alba and her two nurses, likewise all friendly, professional and make you feel at ease. The service receptionists were also great. The practice has been completely remodelled and extended over the last year and is a very nice environment. I have been a patient of John's for over 30 years, during this time he has cured me of my phobia of dentistry and is the most friendly, personable and caring dentist I have ever had. He takes a genuine interest in you and your work/life. The staff are always friendly and you could not want to join a better practise. I couldn't praise or recommend John and the team highly enough. Simply outstanding. Yesterday March '18, I visited to discover John is retiring so mixed emotions, gutted that I have lost a Friend (pun intended) but delighted for John that he can enjoy life in his youth. Met new Hygenist Peggy and new dentist Dr Anjali along with new nurses and receptionist teams, it’s all changed for me at Friends but still 100% friendly, experts who truly care for their patients. Well deserving of the 5 stars. Visited today 03.11.2020 saw Dr Anjali and colleague, lovely people, great service. Visited today 07.10.2021 saw Dr Anjali and colleague, lovely people, great service once again, highly recommend this Practise.

Fantastic experience: Had a hygienist appointment today, the staff were amazing. The hygienist name was Zoe and her colleague Emma were outstanding. Made me feel really comfortable and at home. I’d highly recommend using friend’s dental for a hygienist for future appointments.

Fantastic experience: We saw Irena who is great, she is very thorough, kind and puts us at ease. My children love the new waiting room especially the toys and the toy story stickers they got for being good.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful initial appointment for my children tonight with Dr Sai and the dental assistant. Made them feel very at ease and communicated clearly everything they were doing. Left with 2 happy children. Appointment was a bit of a wait but no complaints at all. Thank you.

Positive experience: Service is great once you get through the door. Never been less than an hour after my booked appointment time which has caused problems with work

Negative experience: This was my second trip to this dentist, the first being for a new patient exam and today I was scheduled to have treatments. On the first day, I waited for half an hour to be seen, and my 30 minute appointment lasted an hour - that meant I then had to make up 2 hours of time back at work. Today I went to be seen for fillings, and was left waiting for 45 minutes with no communication from anyone. At that point I told reception I was leaving as I didn't have another hour free. More time off work that I will now have to make up unecessarily in the week as well as come back to the dentist again. Props to reception though who were very apologetic and swiftly rearranged my appointment, and the dental nurse was apologetic also, but as a new patient, first impressions so far aren't great...

Positive experience: Very good service, with friendly and helpful staff. But you always have to wait a long while to see someone! So don't plan any meetings right after an appointment.
