Fantastic experience: My hygienist was friendly and welcoming which was good because I hadn’t had it done for a very long time and was a little nervous. She seemed to sense when I need a few seconds breather and stopped. She took time after she has finished the clean to show me how to improve my tooth care routine, which was very helpful. All in all a good experience and I shan’t be worried on my next visit.

Fantastic experience: Update from May. Having had to cancel my appointments due to a Hip replacement. I am now ready for the Chair. All was better than expected as it was a checkup, very informative as to issues and how to control further gum decay. Staff very welcoming on arrival, Dentist friendly, compationate about my recovery, supportive to my anxiety, felt very comfortable to continue. 3 months next visit. 5* for S house in all round care and support. May update Regular checkups all good and supportive to my mobility issues. July 1st Appointment for descaling, young dentist guy very kind and yes supportive to my anxiety issues, all went well. Again 5* for all staff. Dentist, nurses and receptionists kindness, and professionalism. •Update: November 18th Usual check up all okay, then xray Lovely pleasant lady on reception always nice to be welcoming gives us that calming feeling ready for the next step in the chair. Dentist and Nurse very professional, informative Info given to reinforce mouth hygiene always a good thing. See you in 6 months. 20.01.25 2pm Dental cleaning done today. Well as i have small amount of gum disease snd receding gums this was going to be a very trying anxious event for me. Hygienist explained full procedure in detail. She was amazing took her time, comforting and giving me reassurance all the way. So now all done, lot's of advice to continue with and preventing further problems. Gums a little sore now but 2 paracetamol sure will reduce aching. Again I can not praise this clinic enough, from reception, nurses and dental professionals ⚘️ Update,,,, April 28th 2025 Check up after teeth cleaning, so much better now, however front right upperside noticed little wear on edge tooth, was checked and found wear went s little further in so next appointment is filling May 14th Advised Nurse of me being a whimp, after checking my tooth she assured me i may not need to be numbed () and so she talked me through every little step whilst drilling, cleaning then filling. I chose the correct filling from the colour chart that suited my tooth. Short while later, all done, and not a tear or tremble in sight. How amazing are the Sherwood House Dental Practice staff, I've gone from being petrified ‍ to positive all due to the comfort and understanding of the Dental professionals here . Next appointment 6 months time. ✨️

Fantastic experience: This review covers back to back appointments this afternoon (15 May 25) with Amit for a routine check up and followed by a clean up by Janet the Hygenist. No issues found with teeth and gums so all good for another 6 months. That said I had some plaque/tartar build up on the lower teeth so Amit’s recommended visit to the Hygenist was already covered today. Janet found some small traces of tartar which I take as an improvement on the previous visit and my following much if not all of her guidance. Usual friendly and professional approach from Amit and Janet plus of course their assistants and the reception team of what appeared to be all new young ladies. Clearly following good processes they had been trained on.

Fantastic experience: Wow what a fantastic dental practice Sherwood House Dental Practice, Loughborough is I highly recommend this NHS and private practice. I only registered earlier this year when they had availability and customer service, patient satisfaction and professionalism is of the highest standard and definitely warrants 5*. Particular attention to kindness and politeness begins as soon as you walk through the door with friendly, courteous and helpful reception staff greeting you with a warm smiley welcome. Dental nurses and even the dentists then meet you in reception and address you by name to walk you to your treatment room. This is so important and pleasant as it allays and dissipates the apprehension we all have when visiting the dentist. Pride and exemplary practices are evident throughout your patient journey. Dental treatment is patient centred, empathic and fundamentally compassionate. Dr Amit Parmar and Dr Shahzaib Siddiqui are “amazingly brilliant” within their professional field and are outstanding dentists. I personally received detailed and specialist consultations for private teeth aesthetics which I am delighted with. Others cannot even distinguish between the new porcelain veneers and crowns from my own teeth which at 60 years of age is a massive compliment. I love my teeth The surgery were very accommodating with an emergency root canal treatment I recently required and all the staff went above and beyond to please and treat me with clinical standards of the highest quality. The biggest endorsement is that I travel from Norfolk to this amazing practice so “thank you all” for being so incredible and amazing

Fantastic experience: Very good professional dental experience was given to me and my wife today. Problems were explained satisfactorily and proper advice were given. Dental Surgery done today, two teeth and a bridge removed, and the process was successful with great care. 1May24 one molar was extracted today without any problems and we were delighted with the process.

Positive experience: Unfortunately not good this time; I came for my appointment but was sent away with a different day. No explanation was given! This was just a 10 minute appointment to take a mould. I have lung cancer with a prognosis of 3-9 months to live. Every hour is precious and to lose one was unacceptable. I trust this will not happen again? An explanation as to why this happened would be very helpful.

Negative experience: Having been a satisfied customer of this practice for several years I am horrified at the service I have just received there. I was referred for a biopsy on my tongue which was a horrific procedure and left me in considerable pain and unable to eat properly. At the check up when I was referred to the hospital I was told I needed 2 fillings which I was asked to pay for there and then. I am still under max fax consultant at at the hospital but more comfortable so I booked in for the fillings I had paid for, attended my appt and no fillings were given just another check up which showed only the same 2 fillings that needed doing. No previous communication to inform me of this, wasted afternoon and then told I needed to pay another £75 for the fillings as my treatment plan had expired! I queried this with a very helpful receptionist who referred me to a practice supervisor who was rather rude and dismissive and reiterated I needed to pay another £75. I have e mailed the practice 4 times to ask who my original payment has gone to and not one reply to that question! They did find the time to ring me for another payment of £26 for the unnecessary check up though! They also sent me a txt to review their service but surprisingly when I went to the link it wouldn’t take me through, funny that! A Diabolical experience that has cost me money for a service I simply haven’t received through no fault of my own and with no advance warning of what they intended to do. Absolute rip off, avoid at all costs. Complaint is now going through the official channels.

All of the staff including the dentist, dental nurses, hygienist and receptionists are all really friendly, reassuring and welcoming :)

Positive experience: Front desk are exceptional, super friendly and organised. Treatment has been great although a lack/mix up in communication between initial check up to treatment lead to dysregulation, but staff were caring and understanding and offered time, space and patience until things were sorted.

Fantastic experience: Iv been going to this practice since Amit Parmar bought it. I can honestly say they are just the best dentists. I usually see Amit but have seen his brother Dipek, both are very professional and have a lovely calm temperament. I’m told Jake is lovely as well, but Iv not seen him yet. Iv had 2 implants and several small procedures, which have been relatively pain free. It is a beautifully clean modern surgery , with all the up to date equipment. Today I had the lovely therapist hygienist and Rupa who did a lovely clean…..both lovely women , very calm, gentle but thorough. I’d definitely recommend this practice.

Positive experience: The quality of the work is good and put you at ease. I arrived on time for my appointment but they were running 40 minutes behind schedule. Of course sometimes this happens but it would have been useful to have been warned beforehand. Normally have excellent service here.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful customer service!!! Practice manager is very abrupt, rude and unprofessional! She really needs to learn how to talk to patients!! I am a private patient of theirs and have been accused that I missed appointments that were never made or confirmed. No emails text or phone calls literally nothing…Previously several times my appointments have been delayed and many mistakes have been made such as booking my daughter in for when the clinic was closed. I have been visiting the clinic every six months for so many years as a private patient but because of three ‘missed’ appointments that I wasn’t aware they’ve been made I had a very unpleasant phone call from the practice manager and been told they are happy to take me off their patient list then hung up the phone on me! I book my appointments 6-months in advance paying upfront for the hygienist treatments and looking at my bank records I missed one single appointnent but they keep insisting it was three. Again only record I had was my bank statement as never received a booking confirmation. They just stopped sending out messages. I paid £63 for my appointment that I lost now! Will be removing my daughter and partner from their patient list! Absolute joke!!!
