Fantastic experience: Despite some previous misgivings, my visit today was great. Trung Le the dentist did an excellent job on teeth that were much in need and I will certainly recommend him highly to anyone needing dentistry. He and his assistant had a soothing approach and worked non stop to produce an outcome far better than I was expecting.

Negative experience: Filling that has fallen out twice- recently attended and asked to pay for new one that the dentist said he has already done. He has not - so trying to charge for treatment not even given. Then trying to give me a new appointment to have same treatment and want to charge me again. Dishonest practivey

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting this dental practice for more than a decade. The service and support has always been excellent. Mareeshty Damarasing was a new dentist for me. She was very friendly as was her assistant. That is always helpful. On this occasions, and unusually, I needed some treatment. It was done speedily and efficiently. I am very happy and would definitely recommend this Dental practice.

Positive experience: I had to take my daughter to the Urgent Treatment Centre at Bournemouth hospital on Saturday night. She had an infection. Although she is a patient at Damiera they saw her as an emergency. They were fantastic and she is hopefully on the mend

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this Dentist. ***** Always had a good experience with no problems as a NHS patient. Just a warning to all NHS patients. it's not made clear regarding an emergency online appointment for £60 which states includes treatment, but pay extra for X-rays and medication. Just to say it's Private and it truly doesn't include treatment. I wanted my tooth removing, hence the emergency. Ended up costing £60 appointment. £220 for tooth removal and xrays. Then £20 for medication. Total £300.00 The emergency on line booking is misleading and should be changed. It doesn't really include treatment. It's a check up and agree what the problem is... A loose tooth that needed to come out. Which in my mind was the treatment a tooth that needed to come out. However this practice is great, Dentist and staff are lovely. Still highly recommend. Just best to phone and speak with someone at reception first regarding fees. Otherwise you will be in for a shock.

Negative experience: My daughter who is 13 was taken by her grandad for the first time (usually i take her). She said they did not invite her grandad to join her so she went in alone. She felt very intimidated by the dentist and he was abrupt in his comments about her oral hygiene! He was not her usual dentist either which made the experience worse for her. Disappointed that a minor was treated this way.

Negative experience: A member of the reception staff was rude when i arrived and was told that I had no appointment (even though i had booked an appointment over the phone), I had to produce an email to show that I had been accepted as a new NHS patient, then had to wait to be seen.

Positive experience: NHS patient ...Went back today for a check up after having 2 teeth extracted and also had a good clean.. they also advised me on what toothbrush to use as I got a few gaps. Brilliant service. Can't fault them. Only downside is I have to go upstairs and my legs are not good...

Negative experience: Had an emergency appointment in February. I went in and told them I had a loose tooth that needed extracting, I was told that the X-Ray machine was broken and they couldn't do anything. Almost 4 months later I receive a final demand threat for payment. I have essentially paid someone to tell me their machine doesn't work.

Negative experience: Rather disappointing, no matter how many times reception have been told my wife's disabled that I have back problems and we can't walk up stairs they continually give us appointments up stairs hopefully this time they've corrected it, they cancelled my appointment, ignored emails from me trying to rearrange, then ignored phone calls and messages, two months after they cancelled my initial appointment i finally managed to make a new one. When I saw the dentist she had no idea why I was there and was asking me how this was and that was, when I answered I haven't even had the treatment yet she was perplexed and extremely unprepared. She was heavy handed and lacked bedside manner. The nurse also seemed rather new to the job letting me choke several times on things that should have been suctioned away. Once I got home, my mouth pouring with blood, my lips sore and bruised I had to clean myself up and use painkillers for the next couple of days. All she did was clean a little grime off my teeth and give me a mouth guard. How she left me in that mess I'll never know. Usually my visits have been positive (apart from the stairs issues) but the dentists themselves have always been polite and very professional I'm not sure what happened this time.

Negative experience: Sleazy & unprofessional vibe. The website advertised a FREE consultation X-Ray with FREE whitening during an 'open day', yet when I enquired to book (waiting almost 10 minutes on hold just to speak to reception) I was told the the free consultation would actually cost £50 as their standard fee and the free whitening was not on the open day but only a few years later after you've spent thousands on aligners with the clinic. lol. Speaking of aligner prices, the receptionist could give me zero guide price on how much these would cost, you have to gamble £50 to uncover any guide price of your treatment. So bad

Positive experience: Have had 6 monthly appointments with Boguslawa Naguszewska for approx 10 years and always been very happy with the treatment. An appointment was scheduled for 22 April and I received an email reminder on 15 April. However, when I arrived for my check-up on the 22nd I was told the appointment had been cancelled and I'd been sent an email. No such email had been received or, clearly, I would not have turned up for the appointment. I was given a new appointment for 14 May but when I arrived it was for a different Dentist, Neda Rafiei. When I asked Neda why I was now being seen by a new Dentist she said she didn't know but understood that Boguslawa was reducing her hours at the Practice. I have no problem with any of this, although disappointed not to be seeing a Dentist that I respect and who is familiar with me and my teeth, but I'm disappointed and puzzled as to why I wasn't informed of the change, especially after the inconvenience of the initial cancelled appointment on 22 April. Surely I deserved the courtesy of an explanation after so many previous visits rather than just being given an appointment with a different Dentist, who is very pleasant and professional. It is not the Dentists but the administration that has caused my disillusionment with the Practice.

Positive experience: I had a long standing appointment with Mareeshty for a regular check up. I was aware that i had chipped a tooth 3 weeks before the appointment which I declared on my forms but I did not need an emergency appointment as I was able to manage the situation. The appointment came round and Mareeshty and her assistant were very good with their advice and care, suggesting that the offending tooth be capped as the resulting repair would be a lot stronger than a filling. I was given various price options and chose the NHS option on a band 3 payment of around £326 which Mareeshty said would be the maximum I would pay including for the initial appointment which would be included in the price. However, when I got back down to reception I was dismayed to find I was benig charged an additional band 1 payment of £27. I questioned the extra charge but was met with a stone wall so just paid up. I have no problem with the care and professionalism of the dentistry staff but the charging structure and conflicting information given are baffling and leave you questioning whether the correct charges have been applied especially when there is no breakdown on your receipt.

Positive experience: Saw a Dentist named George, sorry cannot recall his surname. He was extremely good, very firm yet gentle and repaired my broken tooth. Never had such a gentle anaesthetic given before. thank you - only sad that I am told he will not be staying on as he was a Locum - I am an NHS patient and a new NHS Dentist is awaited - by myself and I presume by several others. Positive experience: Despite there only being one or two people in the waiting room I had to wait for nearly 40 minutes before being seen! Then on making a further appointment on leaving, 10mins later this was cancelled by text! The phone then rang for 30 mins with nobody answering before cutting off. The next day I phoned again to be told this was a mistake???

Fantastic experience: I had been away for the Easter Break and had had very painful toothache, earache etc. On Tuesday I rang at 1.55 and asked for an emergency appointment. I was given one for 2.30 which was great. I was very nervous, but the dentist and the dental nurse were very supportive. After a couple of x-rays I was told my tooth needed to come out, but it would have to be done in hospital. The whole experience was as pleasant as possible given the pain I had been in.

Negative experience: Am not happy with hygienists compacy. She wet my face on more than 2 occasions with water spraying everywhere. Soon lost faith in her. Could see when went to my car & looked in my mirror my teeth wernt cleaned properly with plaque visible on upper tooth more. Was only in her surgery 15 minutes. Never again.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to the is dentist surgery through 111. I had to leave a review because the care was excellent and my dentist Mr Hashim went above and beyond to help me. I have complications after years of addiction, and I told him this and how I was 90 days sober where he gave me a fist bump. It’s those little things that have the greatest impact.

Positive experience: The dentist was running 25 minutes late - didn't mind that. When I got in the dentist was only interested in my broken tooth. Didn't drill it but just stuck some amalgam on it and didn't know whether it would work because the tooth needed a crown! The most disappointing thing for me was that she didn't check the rest of my teeth because I haven't had a check up for over a year. Probably my fault for not saying anything.

Positive experience: I,ve been a patient at Damira for quite some time and this time was a different experience than i,m used to at the surgery. The nurse was quite sort in her manner and i felt like i was being talked to like a child. Negative experience: Upon arriving at reception at a few minutes before my allocated appointment of 11am , I was completely ignored by the two receptionists while one was showing the other how to do something at the computer. Neither of them bothered to look up and acknowledge that I was stood waiting to check in for my appointment. It took them several minutes to sort out whatever it was they were doing on the computer. When the one who was helping the other moved back to her own computer it still took her more time to bother to look over to address me. There is absolutely no way they didn’t see me as I was stood right in front of them. There was zero apology , if either had even just said “ sorry, I’ll be with you in a second “ or any form of communication that would have been acceptable. The manner with which they checked me in was rude and disinterested, almost like I was disturbing their day. Later on , upstairs several other patients waiting also said the same thing about their check in experience at the desk. The waiting time to see the dentist was 25 minutes. All other patients in the waiting room were also running late with their appointments even while waiting to see other dentists to mine. Some were getting anxious because they had other appointments to get to after the dentist. Whilst I do understand that some appointments can run over , a 25 minute wait is really not acceptable. When a patient arrives late I have heard them being berated by receptionists while I have been in the waiting room. There does not seem to be any customer service training at all. There were at least 3 patients in the waiting room all saying the same thing. I would like to say however that my dentist Boguslawa is absolutely fantastic, always very polite and is the only reason I have stayed at this practice.

Negative experience: Receptionist miserable and unwelcoming. Running 20 minutes late but nobody advises you just sitting upstairs alone. Dentist always nice, very gentle and the only reason I stick with practice . Coming down to pay not a soul on the desk, no bell to ring and no apology when receptionist did turn up. Just so unprofessional.

Had to wait for paid booked appointment several times but my daughter, 4 years old, could apparently not be seen as she arrived 10mins late rushing there in rush hour from school. Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience on this my first visit to this dental Practice. Staff were friendly from the Receptionist. Dental Assistant and Dentist. I am one of the lucky ones to be seen as an NHS patient I was seen at my appointment time. I feel confident that my checkup was completed efficiently and Left feeling relieved that all was ok and with an appointment for my next checkup in 6 months time. Thank you Neda for making my appointment more bearable as it's never a great experience visiting the Dentist.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist fitted me in very quickly for an emergency appointment on 2 occasions recently. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Saw 2 different dentists & both were very efficent & reassuring. I have been using this dental practice for over 15 years & wouldn't hesitate in recommending them

Positive experience: A lot of money for not a lot of time. £70 for a 2 minute check-up seems excessive - when I commented to the receptionist, she said I should think myself lucky it wasn’t a lot more!

Positive experience: Excellent. New dentist in post, so I was contacted to make an appointment, given one within a week. Follow up NHS treatment in 2 weeks. I had a query, which reception staff sorted in a phone call. It would be a five star review, but there is an alarming turnover of dentists. I hope this one stays more than a year or two.

Negative experience: Went there only for a check up to keep my place every 2 years although my teeth were absolutely fine. The dentist decided I needed something done to my teeth. At home I realised 2 of my teeth were painfully hurting and had become so sensitive that could not be touched. Called next day for an emergency appointment but the doctor who treated me the day before was only available in 5 days time. I said I do not want to be assigned to that doctor ever again, so they wanted to book me in privately with someone else who was available in 2 days time and I would have to pay for the appointment. I've complained that it is not fair to pay for the appointment as this was a case of medical negligence but I was not given any other option and afterall, there was no option for emergency treatment. Fantastic service! Will never go there again for sure!
