Fantastic experience: Having had horrible experiences growing up I have always been fearful of dentists all my life and because of this my teeth have suffered with a lack of care and guidance. The team at Vallance have not only resurrected my care but have also given me the confidence not to fear the dentist. I could not be more thankful for the whole team but especially Louisa, Zoe and the rest of the reception team who just cannot do enough for you to accommodate your needs. I wouldn't go as far as to say its a pleasure...it's still the dentist right!!...but I no longer fear the dentist anymore and that is because of this team and I am so thankful to them all for helping me on my journey. If you need a talented, competent and helpful team to meet your needs I could not recommend Vallance enough.

Fantastic experience: I can’t remember the names of the dentist and his assistant. But they made the whole experience a pleasant one!! By far the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. They were very welcoming, funny and really nice. Made me feel at ease. The service they gave me was world class! A cut above the rest!! I don’t think I could ever go to another dentist again. Fantastic experience: I had not been to the dentist in years due to a dental phobia. I read loads of reviews for Vallance Dental Centre which said they were perfect for nervous patients and I am so pleased to say they were. I needed my tooth extracted - Amy and Dr Aslam as well as the rest of the team were patient, kind and accommodating. I was so nervous but everything went fine, painless and I felt well supported!!! Negative experience: 0 starts if i could. NEGCLECTED TREATMENT. Booked an emergency appointment with NHS for the Vallance centre dentist for my 5 years old boy. He had a hole in his tooth, underneath there was a lot of swelling and an infection not visible to me ( i was not aware of it. Found out only after the appointment due to the level of pain he was in )but I am pretty sure it was visible to the dentist as he was checking thoroughly with his tools and light. They did not even mention to me about the infection, failed to treat him properly and neglected the right treatment he needed. Just put some fillings on his tooth and sent him home only for me hours after to find out he was still in a lot of agony and screaming in pain due to the infected tooth a and swelling .Absolutely fuming, should be really suing them for neglecting dental care

From our records, it appears that the treatment you described may have been provided by SMDEC- Ardwick, an independent provider who uses one of our surgeries to offer NHS emergency dental appointments. We have forwarded your comments to the SMDEC manager to investigate. We would really appreciate it if you could redirect your comments to the SMDEC - Ardwick google page as we did not see and treat your son. Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment and both Tendai & Sona helped lower my pain issue substantially and gave me detailed instructions as what to do once home and for next couple of weeks obviously what the problem is and a follow up appointment is required to have a full check. But from the very start from speaking to the reception staff then the dentist & dental nurse all considerate to my situation & the pain I was in on arriving right through to the end of my treatment was very professional and caring both physically and verbally, so thank you for all the help I received especially Tendai & Sona.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time visiting and my dentist (Karim Shokraee) was wonderful. I was a new patient so I had X-rays done and he explained each step of the way clearly and in a friendly way. All the staff were so lovely and polite and it was very clean. Everything I look for in a dentist!

Fantastic experience: I've been attending Vallance Dental for just under 2 years after moving from London. Dr. Aslam has been amazing and would highly recommend. I've seen my fair share of dentists and can honestly say he is one of the best dentists that I have received treatment from. Honest, hardworking and definitely goes the extra mile for his patients. The staff at Vallance dental, in particular Abul (Co ordinator) do really go the extra mile, I can't thank him enough, very accommodating in regard to appointments due to work commitments.

Negative experience: Despite attending the scheduled appointment, my children were removed from the patient list. I received a text confirming the appointment for 10:05. However, upon arrival, I was informed the actual time was 10:00 and was turned away for being "late." I was then informed that my children would be removed from the list without any prior written notification. This level of unprofessionalism, coupled with the rude and incompetent staff, is unacceptable. The staff and manager failed to take responsibility for their error in sending an incorrect appointment time. Definitely would not recommend, especially if you have children. I have made a complaint to the DCS, I would strongly advise this if you have had a similar experience .

Negative experience: The service is overpriced but decent, however the receptionist is absolutely terrible. For registered patients, if you reply to their email, they will refuse to answer to any enquiries and ask you to call them, and then if you call them, they never respond. And by not responding, they will keep your £35 deposit and refuse to reschedule your appointment. My experience has been very disappointing because of this and I expect better service from a private for-profit dentist.

As stated in our cancellation policy, appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are chargeable, as this time cannot be reallocated to other patients. For your convenience, appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled through our online booking portal with more than 48 hours’ notice. We also want to clarify that our hygienist appointment prices are among the most competitive in central Manchester—based on our own research within a 2-mile radius. While we’re sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with the service, we appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve the patient experience.
Fantastic experience: I had very nice experience here. The staff replied to email promptly with care and provided detailed information. The staff was nice and the dentist (Karim Shokraee) was very helpful, he made me feel relax, investigated the issue, explained root cause and provided advice clearly. Would definitely recommend this place especially with Karim.

Positive experience: I did not have the best experienc with Dr. Azmy. Personality wise she is great! She is a really nice person, and the blonde lady who was her assistant was great as well. She was also really generous! She gave me multiple free appointments even though I was seeing her privately. However, she broke one of my teeth, and generally struggled with being able to do fillings in my mouth, and setting up my mouth so that she could effectively examine it from all angles. I lived near this clinic for about a year, and saw Dr. Azmy for that whole year, until I moved away. If I had stayed, I would probably have continued with her, but more because I didn't know any better dentist and not because I thought she was excellent.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, overcharge vulnerable patients. The Dentist seems friendly and helpful, however their reception staff are rude and dismissive. They act as if patients are a burden. The attitude suggests that because they have many patients (as Natalie said they have thousands of patients), they don’t need to care about individuals. What a disgraceful way to tell also that they don't send letters, reminders way in advance because they don't follow the mainstream practices or standards!! STAY AWAY from them if you're a private patient
We aim to treat all our patients with respect and care, and we regret that we did not meet your expectations. All of our dental fees are on our website for patients to see and we adhere to these charges and would never charge a patient inappropriately. Regarding appointment reminders, please note that you received two emails and a text message. I also note that you kindly responded to the text message to confirm receipt of the message and also your appointment. Fantastic experience: thank you very much to everyone at the practice who helped me get sorted out with my root canal treatment last month and yesterday. The dentist I saw was Jonathan Skidmore and dental nurse Zoe and they made me feel so welcomed, looked after and felt that I was in really good hands. The treatment has been a massive success and I’m happy with the outcome. I also wanted to say thank you to Abdul who organised my appointment and I was able to bring me in at short notice due to my symptoms, I was extremely grateful for this! I work in private medical care and I often forget how daunting it can be like to be the patient, but the level of care, knowledge and professionalism has been second to none and I really wanted to say I heartfelt thank you, for not making me want to dread dental treatment! Fantastic experience: I saw Karim to have bonding done. I was a bit unsure as I've had bonding fail elsewhere, but I had a consultation and he was very understanding and reassuring. Bonding is back on and I am very very happy with his work. It looks and feels much better than work I've had done previously, and it's not failed! Fantastic experience: Had a private emergency dental appointment last Friday. Receptionist took my call and swiftly arranged an appointment at 3pm on the same day. Very helpful and efficient. No time wasted. I received care from Tiphanie and Catherine. Both were very professional and friendly making the whole experience a very pleasant one. Tiphanie was very careful and patient explaining what to expect from an emergency appointment, examining my problem and explaining my options. Negative experience: Booked an appointment to check my first molar, which was partially treated here before. Instead of getting any proper advice or continuation of the treatment, they just told me I need a root canal and quoted £800! Honestly, I feel like I paid for an appointment just to be told something they could’ve mentioned over the phone. No explanation of why the original plan wasn’t followed—just straight to the expensive option. Feels more like a business than a place that cares about patients. Really disappointed!

Please understand that our reception team is not qualified to provide clinical advice, and it's important that all recommendations come from a detailed examination by our skilled dentists. It sounds like we could have done a better job explaining what treatment you required after your partial treatment. Particularly, why a root canal is necessary and how it fits into your treatment plan. Our private root canal treatments are carried out by a dentist with a special interest in endodontics, using a microscope to ensure the highest standards. We truly care about our patients and regret that we missed the mark. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact us at your convenience and ask to speak to the practice manager.
Negative experience: The staff are unhelpful and rude. My hygienists appointments are regularly cancelled by the centre, when I asked why I was told it was because my hygienist had booked annual leave. I work in the medical field myself and my annual leave does not affect my patients’ appointments. Cancelling appointments affect people’s scheduling and lives. I take time off work to attend my appointments. The staff only have excuses, there’s no apologies given. You can’t park safely at the centre and on occasions I have struggled to get to my appointments because the parking is blocked up. Improvements can be made, I doubt the Vallance centre will ever acknowledge these and make changes. If you are thinking of joining the centre I would advise against it. I don’t write reviews for fun this is genuine advice that I hope people reading this take seriously.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the recent postponement of your appointment. For the first time in ten years, our clinic was closed to conduct essential staff training aimed at enhancing our service quality. We acknowledge that this is the second instance of rescheduling with notice that you have experienced. We are committed to transparency and excellent communication. To ensure all affected patients were informed, we utilise various channels including text messages, updates on our Google Business page, phone messages, and an announcement on the front page our website. Regarding appointment cancellations due to staff annual leave, we endeavour to manage our schedule with the utmost efficiency. However, given that appointments are often booked months in advance, occasional adjustments are necessary. We recognise the disruption this may cause and strive to minimise such occurrences. As tenants, we have limited control over the parking situation at our building. Nevertheless, we share your concerns and are actively engaging with the property management to explore possible solutions. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are dedicated to continuous improvement. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to enhance our service.

Negative experience: Renowned for miss one appointment by accident and they strike you off knowing how hard it is to get a dentist nowadays, I complained and they suggested write an email to the owner, never got a reply. They don't care they have a waiting list like all dentist! As long as they are coining it!
We're sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with our policy regarding missed appointments. As a busy NHS dental practice, we face a high demand, with hundreds of patients per week enquiring to join our NHS list. Unfortunately, the NHS does not provide us any compensation for missed appointments, which puts a strain on our ability to serve all patients effectively. Our attendance policy is the same as other NHS dental practices. We allow one opportunity for the first appointment and up to two for follow-up. The stringent policy is due to the high demand for NHS slots, where every minute counts and could potentially serve another patient who has been waiting for care. The decision to maintain NHS services, when many others are abandoning NHS dental contracts (due to the financial challenges) reflects our commitment to NHS dental care, not profit.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Dr Steph Azmy at a really low point when my own dentist had given up on me. Dr Steph saw me as a challenge. Together with her nurse Natalia they worked through my many problems with humour and encouragement. The whole process was explained in full, and the difficulties pointed out. Negative experience: Be prepared to wait 30min+ for your appointment but then they will be cancel your appointment if you are 8min late. My child was abit scared to come get a treatment when I finally convinced him and made our way to reception, they have cancelled our appointment. It’s ridiculous and inconsiderate
We apologise for the frustration your visit caused. We aim to keep our waiting times under 10 minutes and our software shows that we keep to this goal. The realities of NHS dentistry can on rare occasions lead to delays. Regarding the cancellation, our strict scheduling is necessary to manage the day’s appointments effectively and to ensure treatment isn’t rushed. We understand this can be inconvenient and if you feel our service no longer meets your needs, we would understand if you choose to seek another dentist.

Positive experience: The urgent dentists didn’t seem that professional or helpful to be honest. 26.8 pounds for an appointment lasted less than 1 minute. Just one peek in my mouth then decided that’s no need for an X-ray which should be included in the price that I paid anyway, and that’s what I mainly went there for. They just wanted to sent me out, but I asked if I could still take an X-ray, to at least see what’s the condition of my wisdom teeth’s but they seemed that they just wanted to finish sooner, and told me there’s no point for X-ray plus it wouldn’t fit in because I’ve got a swollen gum there. (I find it bit confusing why swelling has anything to do with x-ray, it’s like swollen like hell? Plus I wanted a service that I paid for) anyway, not recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had a back tooth extracted here at the vallance dental centre by Dr Hareem I was made very comfortable and relaxed and also talked through each step of the procedure + aftercare as I have very bad anxiety/panic. The extraction was painless fast and easy nurse Catherine also made me feel at ease too:) 2 Months on today 0ct-15th I've had 3 fillings which initially was 2 but Dr Hareem is impressively skilled and very good at what she does:) and always goes that extra mile... Fantastic experience: I attended the clinic today for a checkup with toothache. My dentist Dr Tendai and Pauline were amazing. I’m only young and Although I’ve never had issues at this dentist before I’ve never left feeling 100% confident and content with my service. However with this visit Dr tendai was VERY attentive and saw I was upset and confused and sat me back in the chair and went through my situation in detail until I understood. I feel very comfortable and in future if available I will be requesting all my appointments be with Dr Tendai. Pauline walked me back to reception and helped me book my next appointment. A great duo! Fantastic experience: Today, Dr Hareem and nurse Catherine extracted my 9 year old son's milk tooth and did filling with no pain inflicted during procedure. Their numbing procedure was also painless. Fantastic experience: Dr Aslam performed my gum graft surgery recently and I'm incredibly pleased with the results! Fantastic experience: I was extremely nervous and anxious about getting my wisdom tooth removed everyone told me it would be a horrible experience and I would be it terrible pain. I chose to not wait on the nhs and just go ahead and book the extraction. Abdul helped me do this from start to finish and it was such a good process he tired to accommodate me on multiple occasions and really made an otherwise unsettling experience really calm. I met Abdul and Dr Aslam for my procedure yesterday. They were extremely professional very patient and explained everything very well even with my multiple questions. I had some complications but they tackled this so well I barely felt and pain at all. I really recommend attending the vallance dental and booking with Doctor Aslam and Abdul. This was worth it, Excellent service from yourselves and your reception staff you should be proud of the team you have. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: 5 star treatment from a 5 star practice. Fantastic experience: My new dentist is Dr Darren Wilkinson who is kind, professional and caring. He is my new dentist since Dr Gong has left the practice. His level of patient care is above and beyond. This is the best Dental Practice I have visited in a life time. I would recommend to those who have fears such as I do give The Vallance a try.
