Fantastic experience: I went through 111 needing root canal treatment. So grateful and extremely happy with all staff. Especially dentist who saved a front tooth and cleaned teeth on top, when previous regular dentist wouldn’t as I’m a smoker with no intention to stop. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Appointment on time which is appreciated, hygienist was clear and explained well. Appointment was quick the only unpleasant experience was the nurse shoving the suction tube down my throat and in my mouth quite hard and it was unpleasant. Not to the point I wanted the hygienist to stop but I felt it could have been a lot gentler

He explained everything very well, made sure I understood what was going to happen, even his injection technique was one of the best ones I’ve experienced. Positive experience: I contacted the practice after losing fillings in two different teeth. As I wanted to use the NHS service I had to wait over a month to get my teeth looked at and an additional two months before I could have the remedial work done. I was disappointed that I couldn’t make an appointment for treatment from the outset as it was obvious I needed work doing. The first dentist I saw was really lovely and took time to explain my options and what to expect at my next appointment. I believe the actual treatment was carried out by a dental practitioner rather than a dentist. She didn’t say much and didn’t spend any time talking me through the process. When she did speak I found her difficult to understand because she spoke quite quickly, quietly and not very clearly. I didn’t really feel valued as a patient. It’s been five days since my three fillings and one of them is giving me some discomfort, with sensitivity to temperature and pressure. I don’t know whether this is to be expected or not. I wasn’t warned this might be the case. I’ve been using this practice for many years but recently there has been a shift in the relationship: No reminders about check ups, and long waiting times for starters. I certainly feel like a second rate customer because I don’t pay for private treatment. It’s also very difficult to build any kind of relationship with any of the dentists because you see someone different every time. I’m quite nervous about going to the dentist. I hate having injections in my gums and it would really help to be treated by someone I’d grown to trust.

Fantastic experience: I had to call 111 due to a filling having fallen out and not having an NHS dentist. They gave me an appointment at Dinnington Dental practice, it’s about 30 minutes drive away from my home l but I will continue to use them. I cannot praise my dentist enough, I am a nervous dental patient, I made them aware & my dentist throughout my treatments for last few weeks has been very considered and mindful. I have had trainees in the room and it’s fantastic to know they are being taught by what I would describe at the best dentist I have had in my 40 years. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient with Dinnington for around 8 years now and always find them great and easy to use. In the past when I've needed emergency treatment they've been prompt and accommodating with service and nothing is ever an issue. I have to travel around 45 minutes to use the surgery with how difficult it is to get in to NHS dentist but even if I had one more local I'd still opt for them due to how they've been over the years, they're well worth the additional travel! Negative experience: I am usually very pleased with treatment I recieve from my dentists but on this occassion I feel I have paid over the odds, £75.30 for a checkup (without scale and polish) followed by an appointment with the hygenist. My wife goes to a different dentist and she pays £27.50 for a checkup and scale and polish. I was told my treatment was in band 2! I have to visit the hygenist again in a few weeks!

Fantastic experience: Thank you to all the ladies in reception and in the dental room who helped me with my 3 grandchildren today. Having had to move my car from a once free car park at the side of the chemist to now a no parking area which left me only the street to get my grandchildren out all 3 and under. Also as usual my treatment was. Excellent

Would love to be at this practice but with things as they are their are more more NHS patients than places available, if you get the chance to get on their books then you should snap their hand off I certainly will if the opportunity should arise. This was my first visit but I couldn’t recommend them enough based on my personal experience.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been a patient here for near 30 years As a child I suffered some real nightmares at dentists which has left me terrified Over the years I have had fantastic treatment here, but yesterday was outstanding I called for an emergency appointment at 9am and was offered an appointment at 12:25 with my usual dentist I ended up having to have the tooth extracted I was really frightened as I should have had it out last year in hospital but for various reasons and I’ll admit, my fear , I turned down the appointment that I had waited 6 months for I really needn’t have worried, my dentist was cool calm and collected and instilled such confidence, no pain at all, he was lovely throughout the procedure I will definitely not be so frightened again and highly recommend this practice To the girls on the phone , the nurses and all the dentists I have seen over the years , especially the dentist I saw yesterday (whom I’m ashamed to say , I don’t know his name) a massive Thankyou for your kindness, care and expertise. You all work under such pressure nowadays and it doesn’t go unnoticed x

Fantastic experience: I attended as an emergency through 111 and must say from start to finish everyone was lovely that i met. I got in touch with 111 on the Wednesday and got an appointment for Thursday afternoon and only 10 mins from home. I needed a tooth extraction but it was a more complicated procedure than normal but the two dentists i saw were fabulous and put me at ease and explained everything fully and ensured i was informed of what to do if i developed any issues. A positive patient experience

Negative experience: After having ongoing treatment at Charles Clifford, I tried to make an appointment with Dinnington Dental practice (who I'd been with for 30 years), for them to say I have been removed from the list. I had no warning or contact and was told they weren't obligated to. The receptionist told me there were no NHS appointments, despite it stating on the NHS website that they were taking on new patients, and that they had been sold out to a corporate company. I found a new NHS dentist. Only 2 days after I made the call, I started to receive emails and text messages stating they are offering NHS appointments. I found this really disappointing, demonstrating how little corporations care, they would have much rather I paid full price the day I called. It was a lovely dentist, I was upset to move.

Fantastic experience: Did 111 online for an emergency dental appointment for my mum. Initially filled the 111 form in at 6pm, had a phonecall from a dental nurse 30 mins later and was seen here the following day. Amazing service and the receptionist was lovely.

Fantastic experience: A good dental practice offering NHS and private treatments. The dentist I see, Victoria, is lovely. Explains everything and is very considerate. I trust her judgement and advice. The only problem is getting an appointment with her. She only provides NHS treatments on a Monday and I can't afford private care. However, I am willing to wait to see her. I've seen other dentists at the practice, but in my opinion she is the best.
