Negative experience: Horrifying experience Had an appointment. Albeit I was 10 mins late so I called to say I will be there within 10 mins. Lady on the phone said it was fine and that she will notify dentist. Arrived and slim ginger receptionist completely ignored me and spoke to the people BEHIND me. Went up to another receptionist and suddenly ginger receptionist was interested in me and told other receptionist that dentist won't see me because I'm late. Second receptionist (European lady with glasses) made it a point in front of everyone to embarrass me "you are too late!" Extremely rude and felt humiliated. Teach your staff respect as you don't know how your words and actions may affect your patients.

Fantastic experience: I took 5 of my children here for their first appointment and the dentist was soooo nice and welcoming especially as we are all neurodivergent so anxieties were super high but the gentleman was soooo nice and kind and funny he made it all so easy. I’d definitely recommend this dentist!!

Negative experience: 24/03/25 They rarely answer the phone, no matter how many times you call, it never gets picked up. 2024 I wish I could give better review. But past experience, I found some of the staff are not very polite. When booking appointments, they are not very flexible (they are in the mood, you take it or not, we don’t care) Also, kids have to take time off from school for NHS treatment, according to them NHS treatment not available during non-school time, this is not fair. NHS appoinments are hard to find, like gold dust. Also appointment got canceled couple of times due staff shortage, which does not help us. Appointment delayed by 8 months.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal done with Akeel Sharafali, and he was brilliant. I had a lot of anxiety about it, and he made sure he talked me through everything on our first meeting. When it came time for the actual root canal he set me up, and then said I could disappear into my audiobook or podcast. He also gave me very dark glasses due to all the bright lights, and only talked to me if they need to communicate anything specifically. I was very well covered for pain relief as well, which had been a concern for me. He was friendly, patient and funny. Excellent experience for this very anxious patient.

Fantastic experience: I had my Dental appointment today and the treatment I had was superb . Dentist Kevina made me feel at ease and talked me through my treatment she was super gentle and her calm approach put me at ease. I would highly recommend her for her calm and gentle approach especially to those who get nervous going to the dentist.

Negative experience: Can’t believe this is a successful business anymore. No one answers your call. I simply tried 5 different times today and no chance. Update Feb 24th, 25. I think it’s time to look for an alternative dental service.

Fantastic experience: I NEVER leave reviews and this is the one exception. I had a problem with a broken denture and from my first phonecall to completion of treatment - a total of one week - everybody, from the lovely ladies in reception to the dentist with a sense of humour, was excellent in every respect. Going to the dentist is never going to be a pleasure, but this whole team made it as good as it gets.

Fantastic experience: Took my 8 year old to her appt with dr Hawraa Selman and all I can say is that we finally found an amazing doctor who helped my daughter to overcome her anxiety and had her teeth fixed. we had 3 attempts somewhere else (privately) to get 2 fillings in without success but at Busby House, the fears were gone. A big thank you from us!

My 'Hollywood smiling' wife encouraged me to come here saying how amazing the staff were. She registered me and I attended, with her by my side of course Initially extremely anxious, I was made to feel settled, safe and comfortable within minutes by Dr Paul. Fantastic experience: Let's face it, the dentist isn't fun. However, they did what was needed in a clean comfortable environment. Friendly, professional - all that good stuff that you expect. Whilst I can't say I'm eager to go back, I do have more work booked and these are the people I want to do it. So all-round 10/10. Fantastic experience: I feel very fortunate to have phoned Busby House to enquire about their NHS patient waitlist as I was immediately offered an appointment for a one-off treatment on the NHS. Within two weeks of phoning, I have since received a consultation and a root canal treatment for a tooth that has caused me significant problems for over 2 years. I have had an extremely positive experience both with the booking process and with the treatment and can’t recommend Jennie Savage enough for her wonderful patient friendly approach to explaining everything throughout our consultation and for making the appointment a positive and reassuring one.

Fantastic experience: I have always had exceptional service from the staff at reception to dental nurse and Dentist Zac who makes your visit as though you were seeing a friend. Treatments have always been appropriate and discussed before taking place. I feel very lucky to be one of the patients at this practice.In addition I recently had to have emergency appointment and was treated extremely well by Jenny Savage absolutely brilliant.

Positive experience: Recently I had my first appointment at Busby House Dental Centre for an issue with one of my teeth. Having contacted other dental surgeries in Didcot and surroundings, getting an appointment here was easier and smoother. Staff was contactable both via phone and email and their turnaround time was quick. My dentist was Cara Wilson who expertly checked my teeth. Cara and her staff made sure that I was comfortable during the process and answered all the questions I asked during my check-up. With regards to my issue, I was offered solutions however given my circumstances, they didn't try to force things on me, which I really appreciate. I would have loved to give 5 stars if the check-up was just a bit slower but overall, great experience and would recommend this service without reserve.

Fantastic experience: I was previously a patient on NHS at Busby House but after covid was taken off NHS and found myself annoyingly as private. After a few years going elsewhere I decided to return having had exceptional service with Emma. I therefore decided to return as a private patient rather than stay as NHS purely to see Emma which is a testament to her brilliant level of professionalism and customer care. I cannot fault the service I have received. Emma was kind, understanding and her aftercare was second to none. She called me to ensure I was ok after a really bad tooth infection that caused me immense pain that I had never experienced before or since. I have only the utmost respect and regard for Emma and of course Busby House for how they have treated me and the high level of care and treatment I have received. Thank You

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of Rachael Haycock for many years now. This morning I had some treatment I had been dreading. Part of it was the extraction of a tooth. I don't mind admitting I was very nervous indeed. Rachael managed to remove the tooth (which was admittedly a bit loose) in between cleaning my teeth........without me noticing! Pretty impressive. She explained everything she was doing before she did it and was very gentle. She understood my concerns and was happy to answer my questions. She asked questions about our Oral history before making any assumptions, and made sure we were comfortable. She did a great job cleaning our teeth, and suggesting more ways to care for our sensitive teeth which has been working so far. I definitely recommend going to Dr Neha.

Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous patient. Going to the dentist to have some work done scares me to death. When combined with a needle phobia it is safe to say I'm not a good patient. However, Anneka was absolutely brilliant! Extremely patient and understanding. I would absolutely reccomend her to anyone that, like me, knows they need to get the problem fixed before it gets worse but at the same time would prefer to be absolutley anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I've always been a very anxious patient when visiting the dentist and have recently started going to Zak. He is so lovely and makes you feel at ease as soon as you walk in the door. Very chatty and bubbly which takes your mind off everything and makes you feel comfortable. Will always explain what exactly will happen throughout the procedure and makes sure you are ok. Makes visiting the dentist a little easier!
